Hi
Today is not Your day if You suffer from Triskaidekaphobia
I went out for my walk today for 11.5K steps, The temperature was 54 degrees out the door. During the walk the temperature was dropping and the breeze increasing. Back out later with my brother driving for a little more running around.
They are talking about a Wintery Mix tomorrow on the radio
Have a Great Friday

It is 60 degrees today. All the snow is gone. I didn't do any damage eating the chocolates yesterday. I got right back on track today.
We are getting a visit from the president of the company tomorrow. We have had specialists and a lot of other workers from other stores all this week in order to make sure everything is perfect. I will be glad when tomorrow is over.
Enjoy your evening.
Hi Joanne
I am sure You will be happier once that visit is over. I know if I were the President I would drop in unannounced. OTOH advertising it ahead has the benefit that the store goes over everything to be sure it is good so it is a toss up. I know at least one fast food chain where they come in and basically do a announced white glove inspection. I was there one day delivering and being the curious (OK, Nosy) person I am I asked why not drop in and look with no warning? The answer was that this way they are sure the establishment is in the best shape every so often even if it did slip somewhat in-between visits.
Congratulations on the lack of impact from the Chocolates.
I actually saw one small heap of snow from where it had been plowed into a pile at a corner despite the 60+ degrees yesterday.
Have a Good Day

Jo good luck with your visit today I remember what a pain that can be.
Hi Irene
Congratulations on both days of walking. My FitBit Zip only records steps. I understand that the fancier models actually detect activities such as stair climbing. This is good enough for me BTW.
I loved the weather too, I was able to lighten up on what I wore for Yesterday and today and was more comfortable as a result.
I am keeping my fingers crossed with the snow.
Have a Nice Day

Good morning!
It's 42 degrees here, you would think it would be warmer, being more south. oh well, it's fine.
It's nice and sunny out now, but we're supposed to get the wintry mix tonight and tomorrow. Going to get the running around done today, so we can stay home if we want tomorrow.
You're all doing great with the walking and getting back on NS.
I went out to restaurants yesterday. For lunch I had a salad with grilled shrimp, and light house Italian on the side. For dinner I had a spinach salad with salmon, and light house Italian on the side, and a glass of red wine. I was up 3 pounds this morning...yes, I know it's just fluid, but isn't that kind of rediculous? I know it's going to take a few days to get back to normal, but I can't figure out what I did wrong....I had less than half the salad dressing at each restaurant, and drank lots of water. There was a little shredded cheese and a few olives on the spinach salad...?
Anyway, happy Friday...have a great day!0 -
Good evening;
Happy Friday the 13th. I left work before the company came, so I will have to wait to tomorrow to see how it went.
Vix-I am always up a few lbs. after going out to eat, even if I have salad. I suspect that they probably add salt or something else when they cooked the shrimp and salmon.
Roger-I have the Fitbit Alta and it doesn't record stairs or heart rate either.
Irene-congrats on your step count.
Tomorrow is weigh-in day, wish me luck.
Have a great evening.0 -

Hi Vix
The temperature here has been dropping throughout the day and is now down to 42 degrees. There is a forecast for a light wintry mix tomorrow here too, we shall see what does happen.
I am now up to 14K steps between the walking and the running around. I bought some frozen items to supplement the NS Entrees at the dollar store and 2 quarts of 1% milk for the shelf. The one I am using is getting low and when that is finished I will be switching back to Hot NS Breakfasts instead of cereal so I wanted to have a replacement on the shelf to put in the refrigerator for the switch back to cereal after I eat the Hot Breakfasts for a while. I also splurged and Picked up a frozen Nathans all beef Hot Dog at the dollar store 270 calories worth. I think I will use it tonight as I have not had a Hot Dog in a while. So much for being back on NS 100% for today
I know that cheese has a fairly high sodium content as well as the salmon depending on how what type it was. For example a 4 ounce serving of Lox is Calories 132, not bad there, however it is also Sodium 2260mg.
Vs 4 ounces of Baked or Broiled Salmon which is Calories 157 and Sodium 430mg
The Light House italian is 340Mg Sodium for 2 tbsp. Olives can be high in sodium too depending what type and how they were prepared.
The good news is that You know not to panic from the overnight weight gain.
Oh well, Tomorrow the scale should be interesting, The Hot Dog is in the NS Dinner Entree range for calories
In fact I think this is the one I bought...
Description: Nathan's all beef hot dog in a traditional hot dog bun. Fully cooked and individually packaged in clear printed microwaveable film.

Hi Joanne
Ah ha, that is the answer (Reason) that Vix was up in weight this morning, Friday the 13th
TBH I am always up anytime I eat out or have Chinese Take Out or Fast Food too.
I hope all went well at work.
Good Luck tomorrow with the scale.

Hi Roger, you're right....I didn't see that. Good luck with your hot dog.
I'm getting a little upset that everything I do seems to be messing me up lately. I'm scared to take medicine, and now I'm starting to get scared about eating out. It's not just the bump in weight, but my digestive system also gets thrown off. I don't want to put that much of a cramp in my social life. Hopefully the functional medicine Dr. will give me some guidelines/information/helpful advice. I have an appointment next Wednesday. I'm trying to relax about it until then.
Thanks, all. Have a good night.0 -
good morning;
I lost 6.6 lbs. since I last weighed in 15 days ago.
I am tracking and logging on the Nu Mi site.
Roger-I hope the hot dog worked out for you. You need a day every once in a while to go off plan. The key is to get right back on at the next day.
Vix-I am always up after eating out and I usually take half or more of it home with me.
I believe restaurants are very generous with the salt.
Hi Irene.
I do not have to be in work until 11am today, so I am going grocery shopping this morning and doing laundry. I will be tired before I get to work.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
Jo, congratulations on the 6.6 pounds! That's wonderful. Yay!
Freezing rain here this morning...very gray outside. I will find things to do around the house.
Happy Saturday, everyone.0 -
Vix-thank you. The sun is shining here, but it is bitter cold.0

Hi, I'm running late with this
I went out for my walk today for 9,900 steps + 10 cents, The temperature was 29 degrees out the door which is a 25 degree drop from yesterday for the same time. During the walk the temperature was dropping and the breeze increasing.
They are talking about Snow to a Wintry Mix today from inches to a coating depending on what part of the state. The southern portion getting it worse The latest weather forecast says moving in this afternoon.
Have a Great Weekend
Roger

Crazy but true: Flight 666 lands in HEL on Friday the 13th
In a bizarre Friday-the-13th coincidence, a flight bearing the number of the beast went straight to HEL today.
That’s right. Finnair Flight 666 took off from Copenhagen (CPH) and flew directly to Helsinki (HEL) on Friday.
Even better? The flight took off at 13:00 local time, according to Flightaware. The one-hour, 34-minute flight landed at HEL at 3:41 p.m. Helsinki time.
And it gets even wackier.
The Twitter account @Flightradar24, which tracks air traffic around the world, even pointed out the aircraft is 13 years old, according to its registration and serial number.

Hi Vix
If I said it was tasty with a little ketchup and the scale was happy this morning too would You believe me
FWIW the highest calorie NS dinner entree is 300 calories so this worked for me even with some Ketchup.
I am thinking about picking up a couple more to stock up the freezer.
I hope the doctor can help You, If I eat out I have problems too, however they pass and for the occasional once a month with friends Luncheon or Dinner I can handle it. OTOH my Brother seems to have a Cast Iron digestive system and eat enything with no problems.Good morning.
Jo, congratulations on the 6.6 pounds! That's wonderful. Yay!

I have noticed some discrepancies in the way things are displayed on the Sites Home Page, an example is this:
Joanne3366 7 hours ago
lost 4.4 lbs since her last weigh-in! Joanne3366's lost 1 lb so far.
I picked up the Hot Dog after determining that it should work ans the scale showed a bit of a drop this morning and not a gain. Tomorrow will tell the complete truth as it takes two days for the full effect of things to show
Congratulations, That is a large drop for 15 days. You have been killing it.Joanne3366 wrote: »Vix-thank you. The sun is shining here, but it is bitter cold.
It was not that bad out today, I did put the hood up on the hoodie after trying it without as there was a bit of a intermittent breeze.
I hope Your day at work went well

good morning.well we got no snow so we were happy . This week I am really going to try and stay on track it just has been hard. Vix I am sorry you are having problems hopefuly when you go to the drs they can help you. Jo awesome job with the weight loss. Roger the weather here has gotten colder it was in the 30s yesterday.0

Good morning. Thanks, all. I usually don't talk about medical issues. It's nice to have a place to let it out once in a while. Hopefully, I'll have a plan soon and can shut up about it!
Irene, sounds like your house is really coming along great.
Roger, glad you were able to enjoy your hot dog! Sounds yummy.
It's still icy here...kind of pretty, little drops of ice hanging from the trees, etc. It's supposed to warm up later and will all melt away.
Happy Sunday. Enjoy your day.

Hi
I walked today for 8,100 steps and no, The temperature was 27 degrees out the door. The Snow was around 1.5 inches deep in a nearby town according to the weather forecast report. The streets and sidewalks are in decent shape overall. I did not come across anything to slippery while walking. I did keep a watch for where I placed my feet and steered clear of any places that looked like they might be slippery
I went back out yesterday afternoon to the Produce store and Dollar Store, walking in the snow. I decided to get out before it could get slippery and dark. I picked up a container of Cherry Tomatoes for my Brother and one of Blackberries for me as a change of pace. The freezer cases in the dollar store were pretty well picked over. I did pick up a couple of things, The Frozen Ready to eat Nathans Hot Dogs and Gourmet Meatballs for my brother to try. I ended up the day with 14K+ steps as a result.
Have a Great Sunday

Hi Irene
It did snow and accumulate on the lawns and cars here in the afternoon.
Were You planning on buying online or comparison shopping? When we bought the washer & dryer we bought locally at a good price and they did the removal of the old ones and installs on the new ones.
It looks like decent weather for this time of year coming up.
Have a Nice Day

I always worry about icing taking down power lines from the weight of the ice or some driver losing control and taking out a pole. They Hit enough poles during dry conditions. I can tell when I see where they replaced one while I am walking.
I did enjoy the Hot Dog, and yes it was tasty That was one reason when I decided to get out yesterday afternoon I picked up the three they had left to stock my freezer. And the best part is that it worked into my meal plan and the scale was happy. The other reason was that after the day the Fitbit did not record steps I wanted to get the recorded step count for the week up to 70K +. I believe I am within reach of that goal and should be at or close enough by the end of today. I had a nice step count Friday & Saturday.
Good Luck with the Medical Issues

Good afternoon;
Roger-I also noticed the discrepancies on the weight. I am going by what I logged on the NuMi site when I started back on NS.
Sorry you all had snow and ice. It is sunny and dry here, although still very cold.
I am off work until Tues. I am using up a few vacation days that I carried over from last year.
Just doing laundry and puttering around today.
Have a great day.0 -

Hi
No steps today, I suspect I am coming down with something and had a sleepless night. The temperature is 26 degrees outside. The Snow has disappeared from the streets and many of the yards, the exception being the yards in the northern side of houses.
Have a Great Monday

If I said I gave up on the NuMi site for tracking anything beyond weight loss milestones to earn the Bears. And for Day to day I go old school and use a ledger book

Hi Irene
Congratulations on saving extra by buying them from sears online. Our Washer and Dryer are pretty basic too. The only semi fancy feature is the dryer seems to have a moisture sensor that adjusts the drying time.
Congratulations on getting back on plan and walking Your steps.

Good morning;
Roger-I hope you are feeling better soon. I am tracking on the NuMi site for the bears also.
Irene-We just have the basic washer and dryer. I figure there is less that can go wrong with it.
Same with my stove. I have old school one with the pilot lights, no electronic ignition. I had problems with electronic ignition in the past.
Hi Vix.
I have been straightening out bureau drawers and closets today. I misplaced a pair of pants and a sock. I found the sock, but have no idea where the pants went. I am sure they will show up eventually.
Have a good day.

Good morning.
Roger, hope you feel better soon.
Irene...good job getting the washer and dryer. Ours is basic too.
Jo, hope you find your pants. Good for you for straightening out.
I swam this a.m., and have a massage scheduled for 1p.m. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Have a great day, everyone.0 -
Hi Joanne
I hope I feel better quickly too.
Nothing wrong with basic appliances. We have Electronic ignition on the stove and when the power was we were hunting all over for matches
Hi Vix
Enjoy the Massage

good morning, Roger I hope you are starting to feel better.Today I go for a breathing test I am still using my inhaler but I can't use it before my test I hope they can see what is wrong and fix it. Vix how are you feeling ? Jo as i have been cleaning I have been getting rid of a lot of stuff that is probably a great thing of moving I am getting rid of stuff I haven't used in years.I did get my steps in so far I have in 8500 steps in my knee did start to hurt so we had to go slower I find if it starts to hurt I just need to slow the pace down .0
-
good morning;
Irene-good luck with the breathing test.
Vix-I am sure you enjoyed your massage. I didn't find my pants, but found the sock.
Roger-I hope you are feeling better today.
I am sitting here with a hot compress under my arm. The pimples under my arm are back.
I haven't been using any deodorant, changed laundry detergent or any thing else that I can think of. When I went to the dr. last week for a check, he said it was nothing to worry about and if it got worse he could put me on antibiotics again. I don't think that is the answer.
I am thinking I need to see a dermatologist.
Today I am running errands.
Have a great day.0 -
Good mocrning.
Jo, does your insurance have a nurse helpline? They're usually pretty good about telling you what kind of Dr. to see, but I tend to agree with you...dermatologist, especially since it's been there before. I switched to a non-fragrance laundry detergent and dryer sheets when my husband was getting rashes...I also had started to get rashes...stopped wearing underwires in my personal wear too. That combined with the change in detergent and dryer sheets seemed to work.
Irene...good luck with your breathing test...I hope they can fix you up. You're doing great with the walking.
Roger, hope you're feeling better, kiddo.
It's a little warmer here today, but rainy/foggy/gray out. Will be playing with clay later on.
Have a great day, everyone.
