    Hi
    5400 steps today - So far :)
The weather is warmer than yesterday as it was 71 degrees as a low reading overnight on the front porch. The Living room was already at 77 degrees on my return from walking. I will say it was not to bad out there walking until the last few blocks. The saving factor was the breeze.

    Have a Good Wednesday

Hi all....I've been preoccupied lately. Didn't even realize I didn't check in this morning. Went to my clay building group, then to get a haircut, and then grocery shopping. Had her cut my hair really short for the rest of the summer. And got some tiny little sweet potatoes at the grocery, so I don't have to feel guilty about eating a large potato! I love sweet potatoes and if I cook a large one, I eat the whole thing.
Jo, sorry about your messy neighbor....is she old or ill or has she always been like this? If she has no excuse, you probably should call the town or county. If she has a problem, she may need help from social services.
Roger, that's funny about the water. :)
Irene...sometimes rest is the best thing. You are wise not to overdo.
Have a nice evening, everyone. :)

    Hi Vix
It just goes to show it can be the whole truth and still mislead :)

I know exactly what You mean regarding eating the whole thing. As a result of that I have learned not to have things in the house that have multiple servings to them. This would mean small Potatoes, or Buying a single slice of cake at the Diner or Grocery Store vs Buying the whole cake at the Bakery and planning to freeze most of it, I would still hear it calling me before it made it to the freezer :( Fortunately the Diner Baked Goods are OK. I love their Carrot Cake, The readings on my scale do no like it however.

    Have a Nice Day

good morning, I went for a small walk don't want to push it.Only got in 4454 steps in so far my knee is not hurting . I will probably go out again later Annie likes to go for a walk around 9am just a short walk around the block .I should be getting my ns sometime this week it should hold me for a while. No big plans for today it is going to be hot for the next couple of days so I will be inside with the ac on. Jo it is hard when you have a neighbor that doesn't take care of there yard.

    Hi Irene
Did You already pay for Your NS foods? If Not and You are paying the full price maybe You should order some of the Gift cards to pay for it and delay the order until they come and use them to pay for it.

I have not decided how many to order before the end of the month from the CostCo website before the sale ends on July 31. I need to look at how many I have on hand and what amount of food I have on hand and take a educated guess as to when the next sale will occur first.

I saw on News 12 where The Trenton / Philadelphia are will be under a heat warning for later on into Friday.

    Congratulations on getting out walking.

    Good evening;
I just got back from having my hair cut.
It is hot out. I didn't feel like cooking, so we had tuna sandwiches for dinner.
Vix-my neighbor is in her late 30's early 40's. I am not sure if she works and her husband moved out about a year ago. The stove is gone and she hung her mailbox back up, but didn't take the old mail in...maybe the lawn will be next.
Irene-maybe you will have to take short walks until you get your new knee.
Roger-I try to only buy single serving also, out of sight out of mind. :)
    Have a good evening. :)

    Hi all.
On and off cloudy and hot here, but no rain so far. Went to the gym this morning and ran some errands this afternoon.
Cleaning team came this morning...house is nice, but odd thing, what do you think about this...they ate a leftover half of a large (7 oz) Mr. Goodbar (my husband's chocolate) that was in the refrigerator. They did clean the refrigerator. Maybe they thought we wouldn't miss it?
He was not having a good day, and when he went for his chocolate fix, it was gone! ...People!
Roger, I really like the Make Everything OK button! I do keep some things in the freezer, so I don't eat them unless I really really want something.
Irene, good for you for continuing to walk.
Jo...don't you just love getting summer hair cuts. :) Glad your neighbor is starting to get her act together.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

    Hi Irene
Just curious what did they charge as a non member? I think it used to be $4, still a good savings to me.

I just went on the NS order page and delayed my order the maximum period. I know I can always move it up if needed and I figured better to change it to too long than forget to change the delivery date.

    Cheers

    Hi Joanne
I always feel better once I get my hair shortened :) OTOH I let it grow a little long since I am Cheap er Frugal!

At least there is something happening with the neighbor. I would be worried leaving mail lying around TBH.

Have a Good Evening and stay cool

    Hi Vix
I made sure it would rain today, I watered the garden :)
It was barely more than a heavy drizzle however.

That is weird. Is it possible that they threw it out as a part of the cleaning?

Enjoy the rest of the day

P.S. Did I use this one here?

    Good morning.
Misty and gray so far today, supposed to be a hot one. I will be going to my painting class, and have an appt for an oil change for my car this afternoon. That's about it for today. Need to do some laundry and check online for other specific things to do in Florida.
Have a good day, everyone. Stay cool. :)

    Hi
Warm enough to be uncomfortable walking today, 6800 steps due to humidity. It was 74.5 at Midnight and 75.4 at 5:30 this morning, High Humidity too, Not all that comfortable despite getting out the door early. It appears that there was a little rain overnight too from what I could see.

On my ToDo list for today, clean the Living Room AC Filter, the Clean Filter light turned on at some point yesterday. I am not that worried as it appears to be a running time indicator rather than detecting a dirty filter :) The other thing on my list beyond being here posting is try and decide if I need to put the Window unit in a window in this small bedroom where I have this computer.

Also I see that Yesterday was patch Tuesday for Windows users. Here is a link that explains what they are and why. I will be installing them on this computer as much of the time I Hibernate it when I finish so I can resume where I left off. If They are not manually installed they usually install at shut down and I have not shut down this one this week only Hibernated it.

    Have a Great Thursday

    Hi Vix
Dark and dreary looking here too. If I had realized that the Sun would not be beating down on my I believe I would have rolled over for another hour of sleep rather than getting out the door early to beat the Sunlight, Oh Well :)

Just curious what part of Florida are You going to? Tourist type things I have done in the past would be Orlando, Of Course, in the Pensecola area there is the Naval Air Station Pensacola Please Note: Effective Feb. 1, 2016, all unescorted visitors to the National Naval Aviation Museum, Fort Barrancas and Pensacola Lighthouse who do not possess a DoD identification card, will be required to enter the installation via the West Gate (Blue Angel Parkway).

    Cape Canaveral: https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/

Weeki Wachee Springs and the Mermaid Show and the River Boat Show.

A couple of things to do. If You get to Pensecola this is not that far and I found it interesting.

Roger, we'll be in the Fort Myers area....south of St. Petersburg and Sarasota, north of Naples.
We're going to do an Everglades boat ride, and there are a lot of wildlife refuges/preserves, a butterfly house, and lots of beaches.
Irene, good that you're checking out the surgery center.
    Hiya Jo.

    Good afternoon;
Vix-Do you think the cleaning people could have thrown the candy out?
Irene-were you happy with your visit to the surgery center?
Roger-I have a friend that lives in Weeki Wachee and she says that the mermaid show is excellent.
Humid and scattered showers today. You all sound busy today.
I worked 5-1 today and now am just relaxing and thinking about what I should be doing. :p
    Have a good evening! :)

    Hi
This item was spotted by my brother on the water shelf at the Local ShopRite This morning while we were shopping. :) That shopping trip is why I am up to 9500 steps so far for the day.

It is a what the heck type of item.
    pebqz1.jpg

We had a very light rain in the 3PM hour at sometime, almost enough to wet the ground :)

I did not do any Kitchen cleaning that I had planned to do today, beyond cleaning the screen in the sink drain today. Between my brother & I we cleaned the Living Room wall mounted AC & Filter and then I vacuumed the living room to finish the job. My Brother took the filter and cover out and cleaned them and I used a old Toothbrush to clean the metal fins behind the filter.

    Cheers

    Hi Vix
taking a AirBoat tour of the everglades is one of things I missed doing in Florida. FWIW I always went down in the off season. In January prices seemed to be at their lowest for the year for rooms from what I could see on the posted prices and Crowds smaller anywhere I went. At night I went to a Mystery Dinner in Orlando and did a few other touristy type things too.

Thank You for the Information and Have a good Evening

    HI Joanne
Many years ago I did a lot of the touristy type things and Weeki Wachee was one of them. This was before Disney World and all the other things got going big time. I think it had opened but back in the 70s a lot of things were not as developed as they are now.

    Have a Nice Evening

Haha...no, I think they ate the chocolate. Usually they ask if we have candy out in a bowl or anything. No biggie. I just thought it was odd. They're a little funny anyway....sometimes they move furniture or other stuff around, or put things away where I don't expect them (sometimes I have to search for my glasses or something I left on the counter) but I don't mind as long as the house is clean!
Roger, I've never seen boxed water....Frank and stein, pretty funny. :)

    Hi
I was out walking, 6500 steps. Inside the Living room and outside were both the same temperature when I got going this morning, 79 Degrees and a Humidity reading in the Upper 80s. I turned on the Living Room AC before I left to cool down the house. Today it is supposed to be in the 90s, tomorrow which will be shopping day for Bananas and other fruit while walking should be a little cooler and lower humidity. That is a good thing as I will be wearing the backpack and carrying several pounds of fruit in it. The Bananas from my last trip are coming out of the refrigerator the night before and are good. I know if I had left them on the counter in the fruit dish they would be well over ripe by today, forget how the last one would be tomorrow morning.

    Hi Vix
That does make it sound as if they ate it. I hope it is not the start of a trend.

That is a new one on me too. Boxed water, Who knew!

I liked the humor in the Frank & Stein too.

I hope Your leg loosens up properly too. I was out the door this morning at 5:45 and I still managed to work up a light sweat. The people I talked to while walking all commented on the heat and humidity. Saturday should be better according to the weather forecast I saw before I headed out the door. I was not happy that it was as warm out as inside.

    Hi Irene
You are ahead of me in steps and money found today.

I hope You are feeling better about the surgery after Your tour, No stitches sounds good to me. OTOH I was wondering if that means this
    http://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/everyday-innovations/question611.htm
"For centuries, dentists and oral surgeons, plastic surgeons, obstetricians, urologists and even veterinarians have used stitches to close up gashes, cuts and surgical incisions. Now, many physicians are using some form of dissolvable stitches (also called absorbable sutures). The great thing about dissolvable stitches is that they can be used on internal or external wounds."

I was not happy with the weather this morning either and I see Your area is under a Extreme Heat Warning too.

I have that problem with sleeping too, sometimes my mind is just busy churning over a problem looking for a solution to something.

    Stay Cool

Roger I have never seen water in a carton that is a first . Vix I would love to have someone come in and do house work I would give them as much candy they would want but they should ask first
