    Hi Roger,
Yep, not really fun, but I think it's worth it. Feeling a little better, but I think the medicine is still making me feel kind of sick, such craziness when it's supposed to make you feel better. Only another day or 2 and I'll be finished with it. Also it's kind of hard to cut everything out again. Sweet stuff really is addicting. Thank goodness for fruit. :)
Snow flurries here and cold! May get an inch or 2 overnight. A little bit of winter! The new humor is great.

Vix-glad to hear you are feeling a little better. I hope getting back on track makes you feel even better. :)
It is cold here today. We are expected to get some snow starting early tomorrow morning.
The store was very busy today. I guess everyone was stocking up for the snow.
Roger-I haven't check out the new humor yet. You always find good ones.
My I got a call from NS last night and my order should be here on Saturday.

    Good morning.
I know what you mean, Irene....I'm having a hard time too. Got the right foods down, just haven't been able to get the snacking down yet.
It snowed here too, just a light covering. They came by last night and salted the roads, so we will be heading out to the gym.
Have a good day, everyone. Stay safe. :)

    Hi
I was out walking Today and I did 4K steps AKA 1/2 of my normal step count since a little way into the walk the footing was getting slippery. The temperature was 28 degrees this morning the same as Yesterdays. It snowed overnight, possibly an inch +/- around here.

We have snow in the forecast for Saturday morning too, Possibly deeper than today's snowfall :( So far they seem to be saying 2 to 7 inches and they still are not sure as it seems to depend on the track it takes.

    Have a Good Friday

    Hi Joanne
I know that getting on track makes me feel better. I can always feel the effects these days when I do have cheat foods.

I am constantly amazed that people need to rush out and stock up when the Weather forecast mentions that four letter word, Snow :)

When NS calls me in the morning to tell me my frozen order has shipped I know to prepare for the delivery that afternoon.

Enjoy the NS foods, Did You order any of the new items to try ?

I just looked out the window and I see tire tracks in the snow on the street currently. I do not expect them to plow today either.

Checking out the items in the Can Can sale at the ShopRite?

I have no problem getting back on plan, The problem is staying on plan after watching shows Like Cake Wars and Donut Showdown :(

Hi again. Drove all the way to the gym to find they cancelled 8:30 classes at 8:16...really. So came back home and did some housework to make up for it. Then filled our tub with hot water and Epsom salts and took a nice soak. It was 25 here this morning, not supposed to go over 28 today, but we don't have any more snow in the forecast The sun is popping in and out which was enough to melt the snow on our driveway. Yay! :)
Need to go to the grocery and buy some carrots and celery and a few other things....I've been overdoing the nuts as snacks and it adds up quickly.
    Have a great day! :)

Hey Roger I did get some of the veggies from the can-can sale I use frozen but I thought I would use can for this price. Vix that is terrible they should of given you all more of a notice. Jo I didn't see the protien drink at shoprite I will have to check the other stores in our area. Tonight we are going up to browns mills we only have the tv room to paint then next week I will start on all the trim I did finish the trim in the laundry room so that is totally finish now I can start looking for a new washer and dryer but I am in no hurry for that.

    Good afternoon;
I got my NS food today. I just finished putting it all away and reading the new material. They sent me Turbo Takeoff. It is a kit for your first week of weight loss with all of your food and instructions. I also received the shakes and the nutricrush bars. I will give the shakes a try, you never know, I might like them. Everyone's taste is different. You do not add any of the add-ins in the first week. I am going out to eat tonight, so I plan to start tomorrow.
Vix-bummer on your class being cancelled.
We had about an inch of snow this morning and are expecting more tonight.
Roger-I watch Martha bakes and the great British baking show. After watching, I want to bake something. Give me strength.
I am off work tomorrow, nothing planned as of yet.
    Enjoy your evening. :)

    Hi Vix
I would hate that happening to me. Was the cancellation due to weather or some other reason?
I suspect that the Soak helped however.

Lucky You with no snow forecast for today. Are You headed into the deep freeze overnight into Sunday as the weatherman is saying I am. They are predicting wind chills in the single digits, Yuck :(

It could be worse, Nuts are at least a healthy snack compared to sugary empty calories since they have good fast in them.

    Enjoy the day

    Hi Irene
The largest problem with canned vegetables is they are higher in sodium than Frozen, however that can be helped by Draining them followed by a good rinse before heating. It is hard to beat the convenience of being able to keep them on the shelf just in case and sometimes price too.

We tend to prefer top loaders for the washing machine. When we bought the last washer & dryer we spent less than most of the Front loaders cost for either one. I'll take the slight hit on each water bill from the top loader vs the Upfront cost of a fancy front loader :)

I hope the snow does not cause You any problems driving to do the painting.

    Have a Nice Day

Now that You mention it I do recall the no add-ins part. I hope You like the bars and shakes. As you say every bodies tastes are different. I was not impressed by either one so I am curious how You like them. I bought my first and last box of the NutriCrush bars and for the price, Nah :)

That sounds like our weather. The Local radio station that covers Much of the state with their signal is saying that the snow is falling in Southern NJ. The snow still has not arrived here, they are saying I will get it too however.

I enjoy watching the Cooking contest shows so i just try and not let them make me want to run out for things I see. The Good Part is that the car is parked in front of my Brothers Pick-Up truck so a impulse jump in and go for things has a chance to leave before any damage is done.

    Have a nice day

It is snowing here...so much for the forecast. Now that it's snowing it's showing an 80% chance. haha. It's supposed to taper off this morning. No idea of how much.
No plans for today anyway, a good day to stay inside and stay cozy.
Have a great day, everyone. :)

    Good morning;
I got out early and did my grocery shopping. I am now going to do some house cleaning.
It hasn't started to snow here yet. The forecast is for it to start around noon and end sometime Sunday morning. I am not sure how much is predicted, as it keeps changing.
It is a good day to stay inside. I will probably finish reading my book, Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham.
Roger- I will let you know what I think of the shakes and bars tomorrow. I probably will not order them. I am happy with the shakes I bought at the grocery store and am not really a big fan on protein bars.
Have a great day and stay warm. :)

You would think that with Weather Radars, Satellites and Computer models they could nail the forecast a day or tow ahead.

I suspect that You do need the Bars for the first week due to the no add-ins.

    Good morning;
We got about a foot of snow.
I made it through my first day of 100% NS. I had a slight headache at the end of the day.
Roger-The bars were ok, but I don't think I will order them. I found the shake to be a little too sweet for my taste. I will stick with the protein shakes I got at the grocery store.
I am doing the Turbo Takeoff this week and all the food was pre-picked for me. It is all shelf stable food.
Vix-Butternut squash soup sounds delicious. I stayed in yesterday also.
I had two kids come to the door yesterday and ask if they could shovel my driveway. When they were done, my husband asked how much we owed them. They said, I don't know, so he have them each $10.00. They were happy. It was still snowing so we had to do a little cleanup this morning. Also sometime in the night , someone plowed out the end of the driveway. This made clean up this morning a lot easier. We were out for about 30 min. this morning and got the rest cleaned up. Later on we will tackle the deck and patio out back.
Have a good day and stay warm.

    Good morning.
Wow, that's a lot of snow, Jo! And a bargain for the shoveling. :) We didn't even go outside yesterday, and it's 10 degrees this morning with an expected high of 20, so if our little bit of snow doesn't melt in the sun, I may go out later and push it off the driveway and sidewalks...but not this morning! brrrrrrrr.
Butternut squash soup has become my favorite. I bake the squash first, and let it cool. Fairly easy recipe for a big batch. I saute an onion, some chopped fresh ginger and garlic in coconut oil, then add the cut up squash, and 4 cups of water with 2 packets of bouillion. Let it cook for a while, then use my immersion blender to smooth it out, add some almond milk, stir and warm it, and done. :)
Will probably stay in most of today too. Puttering.
Enjoy your day. Stay safe and warm. :)

    Hi
I went out for some of my walking Today and I did 4100 steps Outdoors. I have done some more walking indoors with more to come and I am now up to 5700 steps. The temperature was 15 degrees this morning and more of a wind and thus wind chill then yesterday. It to snow between 9:30 and 10AM yesterday. This morning according to the weather report nearby they had 2.8" of snow, My Brother believes that we had over 4" here. We went out shoveling twice yesterday once around 3:30 and for a final shoveling around 7:30PM as the snow had finished falling.

I decided to go out today for two reasons, The first reason was I wanted to get some walking in before the traffic packed it down into slippery conditions. The second reason was to pick up Fruit at the Grocery Store where I picked up 8 nicely greenish Bananas so they should last well in the refrigerator, Two types of Apples and D'Anjou Pears for a total of 6 pieces. Last but not least some sliced Ham that will work to stay on plan as the PF to go with the SC Wrap as a mid-morning snack.

    Have a Great Sunday

Wow, Despite being South of me Your temperature is colder, slightly weird IMO.

I have a suspicion that You could use Sweet Potatoes or Cooking types of Pumpkin in place of the Butternut Squash.

Probably half of the shoveling we did was using the Snow Shovel as a Plow and pushing the snow aside where we could do that.

I am Hoping that the Sun melts and dries up the Streets and sidewalks. I hit one slightly slippery spot while walking but overall What I heard was the crunch of the snow underfoot and those places the footing was good.

    Have a Nice Day

    Hi Joanne
I am not completely surprised that You had a slight headache for changing back to healthier diet. The Body gets use to the Junk food and complains that way when it does not get it.

You were lucky with the Two kids and especially the end of the driveway being plowed out. The way the Plows pile it up on the end of the driveway is the worst part of a snowfall IMO.

    Enjoy the Day
    Roger

P.S., How much snow fell if I'm not being too nosy.

Thanks for the Info. I can see why You were happy that someone came by to shift it for You.

BTW last year we had a pair come by that cleared the snow and the cars. They used a Big Floor Squeegee on the cars. The rubber blade sis a nice quick job.

FWIW New Humorous images were just posted :)

Lucky me...the sun melted away most of the snow on the driveway and sidewalk(even though it's freezing out there), so I don't even have to go out at all. It's a nice warm sunshine. :)
Roger, yes, I'm sure I could use pumpkin or some other squash or even sweet potatoes in that soup. I love soup in cold weather. :)
I'm starting to get back to normal...it'll probably take a few days. I really don't handle medicines well. I think it sort of shocks my system, and causes strange reactions. It will be better as the achiness eases up.
Puttering around the house. Scheduled a purple heart pickup for Thursday, so getting things ready to give away.
    Happy Sunday. :)

    Hi
I went out for some of my walking Today and I did 7K steps Outdoors. Yesterday I did some more walking indoors and I am ended up with 7.8K steps. The temperature was showing 5.7 degrees this morning and that was on the closed in porch that gets some warmth through the wall of the house and runs warmer than outdoors.
I picked up Eggs, a head of Lettuce and some frozen vegetables at the Grocery Store. Just as importantly it gave me a chance to warm up before heading for home.

I wore my Insulated Boots today, Those are the ones with a nice tread for traction and Rubber Bottoms with leather laced tops. They kept my feet warm and I was wearing four layers above the waist for warmth and even the heated Mittens were OK but not that warm today. However much better than the unheated ones I had used in the past.

Today's tasting is a EAS AdvantEdge Strawberry Cream Protein shake. 11 ounces, 100 Calories and 15G Protein and it tastes OK. A slight after taste but not bad. It sort of reminds me of the Muscle Milk Shake I had bought at CostCo in the past which had similar stats.

    Have a Great Monday
    Roger
