    Good morning;
I worked this morning. It has been snowing on and off all morning, big fluffy flakes.
The forecast is for 4-8in, but that could change.
Roger-thanks for the info on the apple. I think I lost a bit more this week due to being sick.

Jo, more snow! Cool that you lost more weight. Hope you're feeling better.
Irene, I know the Sierra Club has some local groups. I'm not sure if they have different levels of difficulty for their local outings. If they have some easy ones, it could be fun. :) I know they lobby for environmental protection which is important to me.

    Hi
I was out walking today and hit exactly 8700 steps at my return home :) The temperature is 34 degrees and that is a whopping 1 degree warmer than yesterday. The streets were looking dry when I went out the door. We had mostly rain yesterday where I am with a few icy pellets hitting the window a couple of times. The Local news reports last night showed icy conditions ans snow north of me. Some areas picked up a few inches if the white stuff.

I was able to work my around the few slippery spots I encountered.

    Have a Great Monday

    Hi Joanne
I have noticed that the Boston area is having a lot of snow lately.

We have been lucky so far, Knock Wood, That we have only had to shovel for One heavy snow, the rest have been light enough that a Broom handled them.

That is a possibility, for several reasons. Your Body could burn more calories fighting the infection and the fever. Or it could be due to loss of appetite, I know when I am sick I do not seem to get hungry, I am sure there are other reasons too.

    Stay Safe & Warm

    Hi Irene
Sunday it did drizzle for a couple of blocks while I was walking, However after I was home for a while then it rained for a while.

It has been a while since I used a treadmill. It was one of the things I did use years ago when I had joined a health club.

We did not get any snow so far. I hope You are wrong that we might be getting snow.

Our wind here comes out of the west most of the time and we have to hold the screen door to prevent it blowing wide open and tearing the door off of the door closer mechanism.

Sundays snow was north of me too.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good afternoon;
We got a significant amount of snow overnight and it was still snowing when I went to work
this morning. The snow has finally stopped and the sun is out. Tomorrow is forecast for sun.
Vix-The Sierra Club sounds like fun. I am feeling better every day, but hubby and I still have a persistent cough. I will be glad when it is gone, coughing takes a lot out of you.

    Hi
I was out walking today and currently I am at 9464 steps. The temperature is 28 degrees and that is colder than yesterday. Tomorrow is Senior Discount day at the Grocery Store so the plan is to stop in while walking and buy some Bananas and see what other fruits look good.

Today I had a Ready to drink Protein shake and as I was flattening the carton I wondered to myself am I the only one that leaves the lid loose, then flattens it and tightens the lids to keep them flat?

    Have a Great Tuesday

I thought I had relied to this, Oops :(

I have noticed on the weather reports that You are having plenty of snow.

Some of those coughs can be really tough on a person. I hope You and Your Hubby get well quickly.

good morning,WE had a nice walk then came up to browns mills and did 36 minutes on treadmill not going very fast but I did use the incline so I got a pretty good work out so far I have in 9100 k steps trying to get motivated to start loosing weight, I gained like 3 pounds so I need to take at least the 3 off. On saturday we are having empire carpets to come and give us estimates how how much it will cost to replace the carpeting we have now. Happy valentines day everyone

    Hi Irene
FWIW I had Empire out to look at flooring and was underwhelmed. It could have just been the salesman, However We both felt that he was pushing one type and not listening to what we wanted.

I do not consider anything under a 5 pound range a biggie as long as it is withing 5 pounds of my lowest weight. For example I splurged on food and was up 5 pounds on Sunday from my lowest weight, then down Yesterday and Today so I am now 3 pounds over that lowest weight or two pounds off in two days, that tells me much of the quick gain was water weight :)

Good Luck, I know You can do it with those pesky three pounds

I spent the day dipping strawberries. We couldn't make them fast enough.
The sun is shining and the snow is melting somewhat.
Roger and Irene-good job on the step count today.
Irene-You beat me last week in steps.
Roger-I always put the cap back on after I flatten a bottle or carton.

good morning,It feels so good to be back exercising and eating right. We did walk this morning it said it was 32 out side but I never felt it maybe because there was no wind big difference when there is no wind. I also got on the treadmill did 38 minutes not fast but I did have the incline on that really helps without putting to much strain on my knee. Amazon has been in touch with me they are going to see if they can find a job that I can do.I go back to the Drs on the 2nd so hopefully they can find me something I can do .I do know I can't knell so we will see no harm in trying.Today our weather is suppose to get in the 50's take care everyone Jo the strawberrys do sound good

    https://thewest.com.au/news/offbeat/kfc-new-zealand-gave-away-two-fried-chicken-bouquets-for-valentines-day-ng-b88386141z

KFC New Zealand gave away two fried chicken bouquets for Valentine’s Day
Forget flowers, take her to New Zealand and gift her a bouquet of fried chicken.

In a move which has delighted chicken lovers across the globe, KFC New Zealand made a limited number of fried chicken bouquets “for a couple of special chicken lovers out there”.

The KFC NZ page uploaded a photo two days ago, requesting lovers to “tag the wind beneath your chicken wings” for a chance to win.

The two winners were notified in the comments of the post, with one posting to the page saying it was “being devoured...although such a shame to destroy something so beautiful.”

    Hi Joanne
I was curious if I was the only one doing that to reduce the Garbage volume to ensure I could get by with one bag :)

It sounds as if You were busy at work for Valentines day.
How were those strawberries, The last pound box I bought at the Produce store were priced good, The taste was not good however.

I have been happy with the no wind for Yesterday & today too. That makes for a much better walking experience.

Swimming makes a lot of sense. More resistance to movement and the Buoyancy should help too.
