Good afternoon;
I worked at another store today. It was really slow and I don't think they really needed my help. I must say it was a big change from my store, all the customers were friendly and polite.
It was like being in another world.
The customers at my store are very rude and demanding and most of them are paying with EBT cards.
Irene-Those are long hours, take it easy.
Roger-I found 1 cent today.
Vix-good luck with your eyes. Glaucoma seems to be a common occurrence as we age. I hope your shoulder feels better soon.
Have a good evening.

Hi
I was out walking today and hit 7.1K steps so far and The temperature was 51 degrees vs 21 degrees yesterday and there was a wind. I had dressed for the temperature and with the wind it was a little chilly. I will be going back out to Costco later on for Vegetables,Kleenex and Vitamins. Then on to the ShopRite for few things, 7 or 8 including Bananas and whatever fruit looks good at a decent price so I expect to get my steps in.
Have a Great Wednesday

EBT customers Rude? Not a surprise to me TBH sadly. That is one place I might not stay working. I left one job for various reasons after one week even though it meant back to unemployed status.
From another persons post, Some truth in it too

From yesterdays post, FWIW $10,000 to print a 1,100 sq. Ft. house, if it is durable what a difference that could make in this world.
I was thinking Not Glaucoma as much as cataracts as we get older.
Congrats on the 1 cent.

I think I would hate going back to work if I had too. The good news is that Your knee is OK.
I suspect You are getting Your steps in as well as extra exercise
Have a Good Day

Good morning!
Jo, sounds like the other store was a nice change. My aches and pains seem to bounce around and come and go. I'm hoping eventually to reduce the inflammation in general which will help immensely. I have an acupuncture appt this afternoon, which will probably help.
Irene, glad your knee is doing well, it is still long hours, so will take getting used to.
Roger, it's supposed to go into the 60s today, but will be freezing again over the weekend. Thanks for all the humor!
Took hubs to the doc for a shot this morning, so got to skip the gym...feel like a little kid playing hookey! woohoo!
Enjoy the day!

Good afternoon;
Roger-I was thinking cataracts, not glaucoma when I wrote my last post.
Today I found a quarter.
Irene-What will you be doing for work?
Vix- Good luck with the acupuncture. It is currently 62, but very breezy. I heard the dreaded S word may be in our forecast.
I don't have to go back to the Chiro until Monday. He says I am doing great and it may be my last visit. My neck feels so much better.
Enjoy your evening.0 -
Jo, so glad your neck is much better! I know that must be a great relief for you. It went up to 66! It's supposed to be freezing here too starting Friday. brrrr. I have to drink a lot of water after my acupuncture today. It's supposed to help me detox...whatever that means! Anyway, more relaxed now.
Have a good night, everyone.0 -
good morning, I jumped on the scale this morning I am down 3 pounds yea but I am working really hard don't plan on doing it for long . I forgot how hard it is .Everyone is doing 11 hour shifts plus working a 5th day they are putting in 55 hour weeks,I am so glad the Dr said no overtime. Jo I am happy your neck is doing better. Vix how was your acupuncture? Roger great job with your walks.0

Good morning
Congrats on the 3 pounds gone, Irene! Yay! It's good that the doc limited you to 40 hour weeks...that seems like more than enough.
The acupuncture was good. My shoulder and arm were mostly better last night. My neck eased up a little. My leg is still bothering me, but I'm thinking I may have some damage there.
Painting class this morning. The sun is shining. Supposed to get up to 62 today and then the temps will drop overnight for cold tomorrow.
Have a great day, everyone.0 -
Hi
I was out walking today and hit 7.9K steps and The temperature was 51 degrees vs 51 degrees yesterday and there was a wind. I did dress for the temperature and the wind chill. I ended up with nearly 12K steps yesterday by the end of the day.
Today is the last day to change my NS order and that has to be by 6PM at that. I would love to delay it further however I have delayed it all I can as is.
A stray thought, Am I the only one that picks up discarded garbage and throws it into the garbage cans at the curb I pass on Garbage day or Discarded Recyclable litter and throws it into the recycle bins at the curb on recycle day while walking ?
Have a Great Thursday

Hi Joanne
Ah ha
Snow in the forecast through the upper half, minimum, of NJ and I saw that the Boston area was shown as snow for Friday too.
I'm glad to hear Your neck is better.
Have a Nice Day and stay safe Friday

Hi Irene
Congratulations on that loss, I had a suspicion that going back to work could help
Thank You for the kind words, However I may shorten the walk tomorrow if the forecast of snow is true. The Insulated boots are very heavy compared to the the shoes I use for walking. Even if I do shorten it to a short walk for coffee and back home I should hit my weekly step goal for the week due to being over on the other days of this week.
Have a Safe Commute

Hi Vix
Nice weather today except for the breeze
I agree, when I went back to work after Knee and Carpal Tunnel surgery it was just as hard as if I was a new hire and starting that job for the first time rather than having been there for years.
Enjoy the Painting Class
I Also hope You are wrong about leg damage

Good afternoon;
Irene-congrats on losing 3 lbs.
It is 50 here but very windy. I almost blew away.
Vix-I am glad the acupuncture seems to be working for you.
Roger-If you called NS do you think they would let you delay further?
Thanks for the humor, it is the highlight of my day.0 -
Morning all....looks like a mix of rain and snow here. Off to zumba in a little while.
Have a good day.0 -

Hi
I was out walking today and hit 6.9K steps and The temperature was 43 degrees vs 51 degrees yesterday. I had started back from the furthest point on my walk when the first stray snow flake went past me at 6:35AM.
Withing 5 minutes it was snowing steady so I shortened my return leg just in case. So far 1 hour later it is still not sticking so I suppose I could have gone the full distance, Safety first however. The Snow started much later where I am than the original forecast time for where I am and that was on the evening news last night
Have a Great Friday

Hi Joanne
Too late, By the time I saw this it had already processed
I mainly ordered some extra Lunch Melts as IMO they are much tastier than the Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets I tried so they will let me extend the next delivery and a few frozen dinners. I hope to have my foods back in balance for the following delivery that I will most likely also delay by three months.
There was a Video on the news last night showing a little girl opening the storm door on a windy day and being blown around out of sight when the wind caught the door. She was hanging onto the handle and it showed her Mom running to rescue her.
Have a Nice Day
Roger
OK found it if You are interested
http://kutv.com/news/offbeat/video-4-year-old-ohio-girl-hangs-onto-screen-door-as-wind-tries-to-blow-her-away(KUTV) A gust of wind swept an Ohio girl off her doorstep and it was all caught on a home security camera.
"All I hear is 'mommm!' So I looked back and she's pinned between the house and the glass door. She is okay and laughing along with it!" wrote Ohio mother Brittany Gardner.
Gardner said her 4-year-old daughter, Madison, who had just gotten home from school on Wednesday evening, walked from the car toward the house when she got swept away off the steps.
"It all happened so fast," Gardner told KUTV in an interview. "I just saw her out the corner of my eye flying horizontally so I ran and she screamed 'mom!'"
Gardner, who lives in a suburb just east of Cleveland, said her preschool-aged daughter clung onto the metal door handle with one hand, while the other hand clutched her mom's cell phone. Gardner was still getting things out of the car and dropped everything to run get her daughter as soon as she saw what was happening.
"I had to pry her off of the door and bring her inside," Gardner said estimating that Madison had to hold on for about five solid seconds before getting rescued.
Initially, her daughter was pretty shaken by the whole ordeal, but after Madison saw the home security footage she began laughing hysterically and asked if she could fly now.

Hi Vix
Initially they were forecasting rain after midnight turning to snow for the NY Metro area. Where I am it started as snow and much later than that. So far sidewalks, Driveways and roads are only wet as it was warm the last couple of days.
Enjoy the Zumba

Hi Irene
I find that interesting that You are getting rain first. I have a suspicion that the snow totals they were forecasting will be lower than predicted
11 Hours of sleep, Wow You must have been tired.
Have a Nice Restful Day

It turned to all snow here, but not sticking to roads and sidewalks, so fine with me.
Funny video...I guess the little girl would be shocked at first, good that she could laugh about it.0 -
Good afternoon;
Irene-I am not surprised that you slept that long.
It has been snowing all day. The roads and driveways are clean, but there are a couple of inches on the lawns...0 -
The sun's out here and all the snow is gone. 36 and windy. I think they're expecting more snow on Tuesday and will be fairly cold til then. Winter arrived in March!0
-
Good morning;
Currently 15 degrees and the wind is howling. We got about 3 inches of snow and with the drop in temperature I am sure everything is icy.
Roger-I saw the video of the little girl on the news. She must have been scared but it is good that she can laugh about it now.
Have a good day.
