Good mornig...another gray, wet day here. Not much planned for today...some straightening, some shopping.
Happy Saturday!
Hi Vix
Saturday was dreary here too, not nearly as bad as was forecast as the rain while steady was not real heavy and the wind never materialized. I hope Your area was as luckyGood morning!
Kids are coming for brunch today.
Happy Sunday!
The local Cable News channel weather said that today we could have wrap around showers in the afternoon and evening. They also said that going out for Brunch would have the best weather of the day.
Enjoy the Brunch.
Happy Mothers Day

It is pouring and cold here. A good day to stay in and read a good book.

I hope that when You say pouring rain that it is not too heavy so as to cause local flooding.
I do need to write a check so I can mail it tomorrow when I go walking.

Hi Irene
I found it to be a lot higher in many ways than the ShopRite, I suspect I am not the target they look for in their shoppers. They were more like a Kings in pricing and presentation. I suspect that when I go to the Whole Foods they are building nearby I will just as underwhelmed
It was indeed not the nicest looking day outside, beyond doing some walking I stayed home.
It never got out the 50s and was running 18 degrees below normal for this time of year.IreneMurman wrote: »Good morning, Happy Mother's Day Vix and Jo. It is chilly here. The grass is coming in nicely. Roger I remember last year you showed us a picture of a cart you can set while doing yard work,do you remember where you got it?
Happy Mothers Day to You. George, and Annie
I am thinking I may let the yard get drier before mowing, maybe Monday or Tuesday. It does not look that bad currently.
We bought the Cart at a Lowes Home improvement Centers, I would not be too surprised if Home Depot has similar items. We did make sure to get one that would be stable sitting and easy to roll around. It has to wheels by the front and two legs for stability by the handle. I load it heavier in the front so it is easy to handle as that weight puts the majority of the weight on the front wheels. We made sure to get one that has a overhang to make that easy to do.
Good Luck

Hi
I was out walking this morning and did 4000 steps + 2 cents. The temperature this morning is 55 on the news channel and 53 degrees on the front porch. Yesterday it was a great looking morning, then around 2PM there was a thunderstorm and a brief downpour of rain arrived. Then the Sun came back out for a while and later on there was more rain and small hail.
I did not go as far as usual, I dressed for the temperature and after I was out the door it started feeling cold due to a breeze
I just renewed my Norton Security Subscription in the Software. I buy ahead of time when NewEgg runs a low priced special on it and when the subscription is almost run out then I pull out the Box and use the new Product key. Right now I am using the 5 device version which will cover this computer, the Basement computer and my brothers computer and a laptop. I think I paid $19.99 for these and I have two more on the shelf waiting for the next two years.
Norton has one bad habit IMO. They start prompting to renew it way ahead of time and if I were silly enough to do that they do not add any days left on the old one to the new one. Other than that I do like the protection it gives. I have had it save me more than once when I search the Internet for something. A recent search for example would be for a 5.25: 1.2Mb USB external floppy drive.
Sadly we appear to be headed for several days of 80+ weather in the upcoming week and I remember seeing where on day would be near 90 degrees, Too Soon.
Have a Great Monday

Hi Joanne
Hi Irene0 -
good morning. Not having much energy today .Had a hard night sleeping poor Annie allergies was bothering her last night, but she seems fine now needless to say George or myself didn't get much sleep. I did get to mow our yard here In Trenton we have a really small yard it takes me about 10 minutes and it is done, now the yard in Browns Mills is a lot larger it is about 3 times larger. We had a real nice weekend that is of course after the rain stopped on Saturday but it sure was good for my yard I will have to take a picture and put it on.No plans for today just going to take it easy maybe do a little dusting. It really is windy here. Roger are you getting all the wind? So Jo is your daughter going to be able to get her car fixed?Vix I am sure you enjoyed your brunch with the kids.0

It was windy here today too, but it was so nice to have sunshine. I am not feeling very motivated to do anything, so was kind of lazy today....went to the gym and grocery shopping. That was it.

Hi
I was out walking this morning and did 5044 Steps. The temperature this morning is 57 on the news channel and 55 degrees on the front porch. It is a great looking morning.
I did not go as far as usual, Why? Yesterday the car did not start so I am waiting on AAA to come and get it going Then I will be heading to the garage with it and walking back home. Thus I should be at my step count or possibly past it when I get back home.
Update: I'm back from dropping off the car and when I looked at the FitBit I am at 8700 steps on the nose
Have a Great Tuesday

Hi Irene
I am somewhat tired today what with a poor nights sleep and the walking. Later on Yard work is on the agenda. We picked up wood yesterday to use for raised beds in the garden and primed two face yesterday and the other two faces need to be primed today and then painted
Doing the Shopping Yesterday at Lowes and then loading and unloading the Pick Up truck and then painting I ended up more then doubling the morning walks step count.
The Wind was around in the morning Monday and they was blowing harder in the afternoon. Today was OK. I was out in my T-Shirt walking back from the garage and I could feel the heat of the Sun on my back, It will be warm today and I gather even warmer Tomorrow and the warmer still ThursdayIreneMurman wrote: »good morning,it looks like it is going to be a really nice day. Good afternoon;
I hope everyone is enjoying this nice weather.
I skyped with my son yesterday. They are planning on coming over here in October. I can't wait to see them.
Irene-My daughter is waiting for the auto body shop to call her back on whether her car can be fixed.
I treated myself to a pedicure after work today. The nail shop is right in the same plaza as work. As a result of starting home later than usual I ran into all the school traffic and it took me twice as long to get home.
Roger-I hope there is nothing major wrong with your car.
Hi Vix.
Enjoy your evening.0 -
Hi all.
Jo, nice getting your nails done...so glad your son will be coming to visit.
Roger, hot here for the next few days. Put the air conditioning on in my car for the first time this season.
Hi Irene...I went to PT this morning too. Then to play with clay.
I had some errands to run, so I also did some of that. Bought myself a new pair of comfy dress shoes for a wedding in a couple of weeks. I usually wear fancy high heels, but didn't feel like I could face it...these have about a 1.5 -2 inch heel and they're cute and dressy, and most of all comfortable!
Have a good night everyone.0 -

I did not go walking yet, Why? Yesterday I dropped off the car did that I had to have AAA to come and get it going Thus this morning I will be picking up coffee and then walking to the garage to pick it up and then going grocery shopping. I ended up well over my step count goal yesterday

I'm sur You can not wait for them to come
What I hate about the school traffic is when I get caught behind a school bus that is making stops
I would not say major it was just the Battery. I could have changed it myself, however this way the entire charging system has been tested too.
I also had them order the replacement part for the passenger side window washer which I managed to break during the winter while cleaning off the snow & ice Oh well, They will call me when it comes in and then I just need to get over to have it affixed in place of the broken one.
Have a Nice Day

Hi Vix
I will likely be putting the basement AC on this week and thus I will know if it is OK, I have a feeling it is going away as it did cool last year, it just did not make a sound like it did in years past. I hope it is OK as that is a tough, small window to get one for.
I did not use the AC in the car yet as it was OK when I picked it up and drove to the ShopRite and on the return home and then a little later to the bank I was still OK with the window open. I was lucky enough to get parked in the shade at the Grocery Store and the Bank even if it did mean a little longer walk :One of the things I picked up at the Store was a package of 30 AKA 2.5 dozen large eggs for $1.99. They will get hard boiled and both of us will use them as a protein source. My brother in a Salad and I in Egg Salad.
In my not so humble opinion Comfort trumps Style.Good morning

Hi Irene
On the bright side, the car would not start in the driveway and AAA was pretty quick getting here. It appears You are running a degree or two hotter than I saw in the forecast.
That was a nasty looking Learjet crash up near Teeterboro Airport.
Stay Cool

Good afternoon;
Roger and Irene-was the plane crash anywhere near you?
Roger-Easy fix for your car. I would have taken my car to the garage also. I am at the stage in my life that I would rather pay and have someone else do the work.
Vix-I am all for comfortable shoes. They have some really cute styles in low heels.
I came home from work today and cleaned the bird feeders and bird baths.
It is 88 degrees according to my kitchen thermometer but there is a nice breeze.
I turned the Ac on in my car on the way home from work.

Good morning.
Art class and opening our Spring show this a.m. I only have one large (18X24)painting up this time. Still experimenting, pretty crazy painting. Have to figure out what to do with them all when they're done. Ha. Starting to pile up.
PT again after that. I guess that should be winding down soon. I've asked for exercises to do at home...to continue working on it, don't want to keep having to go back.
Stay cool!

yet more humor
Hi
I have walked 7500 Steps during the morning walk. The temperature this morning is 74 on the news channel and 72 degrees on the front porch which is 16 degrees warmer than yesterday for the same time. It is a great looking morning, however it is a bit sticky outdoors. Today is forecast to reach into the 90s and set records for high temperatures, Yuck
I ended up walking 9500 steps yesterday.
I saw this as I was walking, I have no clue what it is but it was pretty.
I looked closer at a can opener Mom had picked up years ago and never opened. In a Little Red Box with big red letters saying TV on it it says "Similar to items seen on TV", Hmm...
Have a Great Thursday

Hi Joanne
Since the Plane crash was well north or me that means even further away from Irene
I could handle replacing the battery, Many, Many, Many years ago I worked in a gas station garage, doing all sorts of repairs including rebuilding engines That is something I would not even think of doing these days with all the plumbing under the hood of cars. Back then they were simple to work on, Replace the Points, condenser, Cap, Rotor and wires and check the timing or Oil change and Lubrication and voila, On the road again.
Once the bird feeder which they are still using is nearly empty I will spread the rest of the contents on the driveway and put it to soak.
Have a Nice Day

I'm with you, Jo about paying someone else to do the work. Going to be hot again tomorrow.

Hi Vix
I looked out the window at the backyard thermometer that is sheltered from the sun and at 8:05 it was 80 degrees already, Currently 50 minutes later it is up 2 degrees
The Laundry is now washing too. I have been semi busyGood morning.
Art class and opening our Spring show this a.m. I only have one large (18X24)painting up this time. Still experimenting, pretty crazy painting. Have to figure out what to do with them all when they're done. Ha. Starting to pile up.

That is a fair sized painting IMO.
Did they give You exercises to do at home ? I'm sure they both want You to not come back and come back for more PT
Enjoy Art Class and Spring Show.

good morning, Just got off of the treadmill did 35 minutes feeling good about it. Vix the only exercise I can do from pt is the treadmill .They do have me doing exercise with ankle weights and a leg extender hopefully I can get my knee better.Hey Roger I tried to open the humor but it won't let me how do I go about it?Jo it is so nice your son is coming for a visit.0

Good afternoon;
I just got home from work.
Roger-that is a pretty flower. I am not sure what it is. The thermometer in my kitchen window is reading 103, but I don't think it is that hot. The weather channel says 96.
Vix-Are there awards for the paintings? You can swap out the paintings every few months, so there is always something on display in your house.
Hi Irene-good job on the treadmill.
Enjoy your evening and stay cool!

Roger, that looks like a clematis...people usually put them next to a trellis so they can climb. Very pretty. I do have a few simple exercises I can do at home now, and they will give me a print out before I am done.
Irene, some of the exercises are simple, like standing on one foot for 10 seconds, or just swinging my leg forward sideward and back (the tricky part is keeping my balance.:) )
Jo, they do not have awards for the paintings here, but the county fairs do. I entered a picture last year and may do one again this year....I'll see when the time comes. And I do switch out the paintings in my house. Also need to decide which walls can use additional paintings.
It was in the 90s here today too. I mostly stayed in the air conditioning. Art, PT, chiro, and grocery shopping.
Have a good night, everyone. Keep cool!0
