Hi all.....did some stuff around the house, then stopped at the library, and took a trip out to Wegman's to pick up some things that are hard to find at a reasonable price elsewhere (like coconut chips and raw cashews). I also had some $2 coupons to use.
It got hot and sunny by the afternoon here. It's nice for a change.
Reading David Sedaris' new book, "Theft by Finding Diaries 1977-2002" interesting seeing the world that way. He said in Great Britain, if you find something and keep it, it's considered theft by finding. Ha!
Roger, Goodwill has some bargains. I've donated some pretty nice things to Goodwill from time to time. And I did purchase some things there when finances were tight. If there were one close by I would check for picture frames!
    The Aleve helped a bit.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend. :)

And More Humor posted, well mostly humor anyway

    Hi
I walked 7400 Steps during the morning walk. The temperature this morning is 56 on the news channel and 51 degrees on the front porch.

As I was walking I stopped and treated myself to 2 Scrambled Eggs and Whole Wheat Toast and brought the Home Fries back to the house where My brother will use them either today as part of the meal tomorrow morning for part of his breakfast. I look at what I ate as my two SCs and two PFs that I have for breakfast every day. Following which I loaded (Overloaded?) my backpack with two types of apples 3 Gala & 2 Red for a total of 5, 2 Nectarines, 2 pears, a bag of Clementines, Bananas and baby Carrots.

AI expected the phone call around 9AM from NS telling me that my frozen portion has shipped came in :)

The delivery came around 2:30 and I will be trying the new NS Turkey Pot Pie melt for lunch. The order was short and I have called it in. This morning I have received the confirmation order that the shortage replacement is confirmed. No tracking yet.

I was starting to have a craving for Pizza so the NS frozen order delivery is timely for that, Tonight I will have one of the 7 Chicken Bacon ranch Pizzas I ordered. I also ordered 3 Italian Sausage and Turkey Pizzas and 4 Margherita Pizzas to get me through cravings as well as a couple of two types of the Shelf Stable Pizzas. Solved that craving for now :)

BTW I saw my first Chipmunk of the year yesterday and two Deer down along the Brook a ways away from the house.

I was a bit unhappy yesterday after my brother pointed out where those darned Walking Appetites had eaten some of the leaves off of the Hollyhocks. They are destructive critters and should all go to perdition IMO. Leave my plants alone. In the last two years they have eaten most of the Sunflowers, Leaves off the Apple trees, Hollyhocks, and Lillie's :(

    Have a Great Sunday

    Hi Vix
We can usually get them from Trader Joe's Too. Or in larger Quantities at www.nuts.com, they are a better price than Amazon on some items and more expensive on others. That is where I buy a lot of the dried fruits and Nuts for the Fruit cakes and other Holiday baking my brother hands out to friends.

Theft by Finding, weird. Sadly more attacks by terrorists in Great Britain, The world is going to D E double hockey sticks :(

Good that the Aleve is helping

    Morning.
Going to get hot here later. Had my early morning warm lemon water on the deck this morning. The temperature was just right. Not much planned for today, will do some things around the house, hopefully go out later.
    Enjoy your weekend.

Help... what's the word when everyone puts the same positive thoughts out to the universe? We need some of that.
Going to split my time at the gym this a.m. between yoga and swimming. I'll see how that goes. Been out of whack the last couple of weeks. Also scheduled a half hour appt this afternoon for fascial stretch therapy....see how that goes too.
    Have a good one.

I posted more humor a few minutes ago :)

    Hi
I walked 5300 Steps during the morning walk. The temperature this morning is 54 on the news channel and 60 degrees on the front porch. I was tired this morning, The Overnight Thunderstorm woke me up at 3AM, I never did manage to get back to a good sleep so I gave up at 5:30 :(
Later on I need to mow after the grass dries out better from the rain that accompanied the Thunderstorm.

I had the new NS Turkey Pot Pie Melt for lunch Sunday, Tasty, although I still prefer the NS Pepperoni Pizza Melt. I am happy I ordered 7 of them. Today for Lunch I will be trying the new NS Spinach & Cheese Pretzel Melt which I also took a chance on ordering 7 of. I did buy a bunch of the melts A La Carte and some Dinners therefor I will be delaying the upcoming order. I took this step as I am still overloaded with the NS Snacks and I can get Good Dinners substitutes and I use Cereal and hot NS breakfasts alternating them. I use the cereals when I switch to them until the new quart of 1% milk I opened is used up.

    Have a Great Monday

    Hi Irene
The early PT explains why You are here so early :)

I hope the Thunderstorms and overnight rain did not disturb You, They woke my Brother & I up at 3AM :(

From what the news broadcasts are showing the worst allergen is Grass Pollen. I suspect that You may be suffering due to spending more time outdoors. Add in that in the Summer the AC helps clear the air in the house and given that You could be leaving windows open to to the nice temperatures vs running the AC and Voila that could be why.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good evening;
    Roger your plants look good.
    Hi Vix and Irene.
I took the cats to the vet today for their annual check ups. They both needed blood work. I am glad I only have to do this once a year. It was quite expensive.
This afternoon I went and had a massage. The massage therapist says I am making good progress. He wants to work on my shoulders and arms to give me more flexibility.
Yesterday I went on a 5 mile hike through Boarderland Park. It was a beautiful day.
    Have a great evening. :)

Jo, good for you for going on that hike, sounds wonderful. Glad you're making progress with the massages.
Irene, hope those allergies calm down for you.
Roger, beautiful berry bushes. They look very healthy!
The fascial stretch therapy works on connective tissue. It surrounds all your muscles and bones. I thought it might help because fibromyalgia mainly affects connective tissue. It was interesting. Not sure yet how I'm feeling. More movement than regular massage, sort of stretching out and rotating different joints and the spine.
I liked the jokes...thought the sons of arthritis was pretty funny. :)

Watch 'extremely hangry' woman fight McDonald's employee
DES MOINES — A woman gave new meaning to the word "hangry" Saturday as she fought with McDonald's employees over the delivery of a meal at a Des Moines restaurant.

Two men and a woman ordered McChicken sandwiches about 9 p.m. CT, but apparently were hungry and upset about the wait time, according to a police report.

The employees told police the woman came to the counter and started yelling that she wanted either her food or her money back.

"Give me my (expletive)!" the woman is heard shouting in a video recorded by another customer.

ORLANDO — A disgruntled former employee returned to a local RV accessory business Monday and fatally shot five people before killing himself, another horror in a city still healing from a bloody mass murder at a nightclub less than one year ago.

John Robert Neumann Jr, 45, who had been fired in April, entered the Fiamma Inc. building at about 8 a.m. ET and opened fire, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said. A 911 call came in at 8:03 and officers were on the scene two minutes later, Demings said.

    Good afternoon;
Irene-I am glad you are feeling better.
Vix-I hope this therapy helps you feel better.
Roger-I don't have pet insurance. Both cats are relatively healthy. Vinny's kidney function test was a little high, so they want me to feed him a kidney diet cat food. The vet said this is common in older cats with diabetes. One of Sophie's tests was elevated also, but the vet said he wasn't that concerned about it. They will both have to be tested again in 6 months.
It might be time to look into pet insurance.
It is cold and rainy here. Tomorrow it is supposed to clear up by the afternoon. I am ready to see the sun again.

101-year-old Topeka woman ready for high school reunion
By James Ryan Published: June 2, 2017, 10:49 pm
TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – A 101-year-old Topeka woman is getting ready for her 83rd high school reunion. Dorothy Priddy graduated from Seaman High School in 1934. She has many fond memories of that time, but she admits she didn’t spend a lot of time studying.
“I walked from Seaman High School over to Woolworth’s to work for 10 cents an hour. That’s how much I got paid,” said Priddy.
On Sunday she will go to the Seaman Annual Alumni Banquet. It’s her first alumni event in decades and she said she’s a little nervous.
“Out of my class I think there’s only about two left. There were 65,” said Priddy.
She’s excited to see the renovation to her old high school. The building she went to school is now the district office at the corner of Tyler and Lyman.

Carpet cleaner extinguishes brush fire with misting hose
Jared Aiton said he wasn't sure his plan would work. He had a tank of water and a hose, but the sprayer only shoots a mist, and yet that was enough to save the day.

Aiton cleans carpets. He was driving his van when the carpet cleaner became a firefighter on May 31st.

"Come up over a hill and on the left side I see some flashing lights and a fire," he said. "I just felt that I needed to put it out."

Aiton saw a brush fire. So the man stood on the side of Loop 303 near 35th Avenue, carpet cleaning hose in hand, fire in his sights.

But he wasn't sure the hose's mist would actually help extinguish the flames.

I believe that as people and pets get older they both need more expensive health care :(

Interesting that the Diabetes can cause a Kidney problem, I just learned something new. Never to old to learn :)

I hope Your Weather gets better. It appears from the Weather forecasts that by Sunday or Monday we will be back into the the low 90s despite that today the High is expected to be in the 60s.

I look at the news, however I do it after the broadcast is already over so I can jump past a lot of it these days. That is a contrast to my news junkie Brother.

I like that phrase "emanating love and light"

I suspect that the Therapy is to help in the long run? It couldn't hurt to ask ?

Hi. In the 60s and drizzly here too. Wearing a sweater in June while the polar ice caps are melting.
Roger, I'd be surprised if there was anyone else from the 101's class left. My mother-in-law will be 102 in a couple more weeks. We'll be making the trek to Long Island for the weekend.
Splitting my classes now...half body flow and half water aerobics this morning. Just back from running some errands. Picked up new towel sets and some fancy soap for my Mother-in -law and sister-in-law for their birthdays. And we picked up some hosta and a polka dot plant for our yard. The polka dot plant is a new one for us...it's pink with green spots. :)

    Good afternoon;
Vix-I am usually sore the day after I see the massage therapist. I figure he is working muscles that I don't normally. 102 is amazing, happy birthday to your mother-in-law. :)
The polka dot plants sounds interesting. I stopped at the nursery on my way home from work and bought 4 balloon flower plants, 4 sunflower and 4 First blush cushion spurge. The cushion spurge is a new one for me. I have been looking for yellow daylillies. I found other colors but not yellow. They are called Stella D'oro.
Roger-101 years young, a cause for celebration. Todays it is 66 degrees here, turned out to be a beautiful day. It was raining when I went to work.

And yet more humor today, I liked the Noah Humor, That must be due to my twisted sense of humor

    Hi
I walked 6500 Steps during today's morning walk. The temperature this morning is 55 on the news channel and 50 degrees on the front porch. I Did see a the Fox today to on the way back to house. I ended up the day yesterday with 12.6k steps.

Wednesday a little bit before noon I got my LWB with the 7 replacement frozen lunch items that were short in my BWB. I also got my BBB and therefore I ended up with a lot of steps after also mowing the lawn due to a burst of energy and the nice weather. I also got my Laundry done, I had a productive day Wednesday as regards chores. Today I shall be taking the day off except that I do want to split the hanging basket into three pots with the Geraniums that I overwintered in the house.

I have now tried the New NS Chocolate Chip Baked Bar which is a breakfast item. It was tasty and worth reordering. Since it is a Breakfast food it and a lunch item are interchangeable as both consist of a SC + PF.

    Have a Great Thursday

    Hi Vix
Wow, 102 now. I think a lot of that is heredity as well as diet too.

From that article “Out of my class I think there’s only about two left. There were 65,” said Priddy.
The News where I saw it said that there two Plus her attending. They must be long lived there :)

I think I have seen that plant if it is Pink and green leaves.

I have been wearing a sweatshirt while walking here too, in June :(

OTOH it appears that we are heading into a heatwave, three 90 or higher days starting this weekend :( Color me unhappy since that means that there will be two 220Volt AC units and one 110 volt unit running and killing the Electric Bill which it is my turn to pay this month, Oh well, nothing to do it is what it is.

I hope You also enjoyed the split classes.
