    Good afternoon;
Irene-I am sorry to hear about Annie. I hope she feels better soon. How old is she?
Roger-My early days are usually 5-1 or 6-2. I am a morning person, so this works fine for me.
When I have to go in at 10 or later, I have already been up for 6 or more hours. I usually run out of steam around 3 or 4 pm.
Vix-enjoy your hair appt. and acupuncture.
Since the first of the year I am 2 cents richer. ;) I counted my found money from last year and it was a lot less than the year before, only $2. 89 versus 6 + the year before.
It is 44 degrees and sunny here. I opened the slider to let some fresh air in.
    Have a good afternoon.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 42 degrees and the walking was good. The Overnight rain ended early by the time I went out the door, It is forecast to return later.

    Good morning.
Roger, luckily, my retirement planning worked out pretty well. I generally pay my credit card bills in full, and have budgeted out for my other bills, so am in good shape there. And I don't mind doing laundry...I find it kind of relaxing.
I have appts today...hairdresser, cut and color at noon, and acupuncture at 3:30.
Another gray day outside, high of 46 expected with afternoon showers.
    Hi Jo and Irene!
    Happy Friday, everyone. :)
    Hi Vix
Considering that I only had vague plans for retirement is is going OK.

I do not mind the washing of the laundry, it is the folding, That is why I am still procrastinating about doing it today, Oh well there is always tomorrow

I do not expect that today will be all that nice a day, I'm lucky that not leaving the house daily excluding the walking does not bother me, My brother however goes stir crazy.

    Have a Good Day

good morning, Poor Annie is really sick , she has pneumonia . She started to get sick Wednesday night she was having a problem breathing so we took her to er but by the time we took her she was ok. But we got home and a couple hours later . I was up all night with her we went to our vet yesterday they took an xray it showed she had either fliud or tumor so we then had an ultra sound done and it showed pneumonia. so now she is on meds she also got a shot so she won't get dehydrated . I did take her out for a little walk which seemed to help her. We take her back in 2 weeks then she will get another xray we may need to take her to cardiologist hopefully we won't have to. take care everyone
    Hi Irene
Yikes, That is not good news about Annie, I know You must be so worried about her, I hope it clears up speedily. I had not thought about there being a ER for pets.

I guess fluid is better than a tumor by a lot. I hope You avoid the Cardiologist too.

    Have a Better Day today

    Hi Joanne
I seem to become a morning person, for the past year I'm usually up by 4 AM, When I was working my last job I had the Alarm set for 9 Am so I could get my shower, a leisurely Coffee and be at work in time to unlock the door, turn off the alarm and bring up the other systems for out 10AM open. The 7-8 minute drive to work helped there.

Wow, I had forgotten to count the money, oops, Thanks for reminding me. Later hopefully.

I guess I was lucky walking this morning, the rain ended before I left and looking out the window I see it has resumed. I do not expect near as much money this year either, I'm not sure why.

The day had a bit of a raw feel to it and despite the room being as warm as usual I am feeling a bit of a chill :(

    Have a Nice Day

    Good morning.
Irene, so sorry to hear about Annie. I hope she recovers quickly.
Jo, I am still a bit of a morning person, though after being retired for 5 years it is finally getting a little later. I was up at 4:15-4:30 every morning to go to work. I am finally sometimes sleeping past 5 or 6 or 7. Which is pretty good because I normally don't go to sleep til around 11. But I definitely wind down like you by 3 or 4 in the afternoon.
Roger, it wasn't that cold here either, but I was chilly all day yesterday, and it seems that way today too. It's gray and gloomy out, high of 47 expected and rain in the afternoon.
Need to go grocery shopping today, but other than that should be a nice quiet day.
I ordered some cook books and healthy eating books from B&N....I will try again this year to improve my eating habits and get some variety into my cooking!
    Happy Saturday, everyone. :)

The first week back at work after vacation has been tough.
Irene-I am glad Annie is doing better.
It poured all day yesterday. :( It is better than snow though.
I found a nickel yesterday, which brings my total up to 7 cents so far. I am on a roll! :p

    Hi Vix
I would sure like to sleep later than I do, however once I wake up around 3:30 to 4 AM I can not get back to sleep.
Yesterday, Saturday There was rain off and on from the overnight hours into the late afternoon with a raw feel to the air.

Today is Grocery day, I am still trying to decide whether to go with my brother or stay home. Temptations abound either way. If I go with my brother he is good for at least an hour walking up and down all the aisles while at some point I would be sitting in the area with tables and chairs by the Hot Food and Pizza area

Good Luck, I hope the Cook Books help

    Hi Joanne
Better Luck getting to the Gym this upcoming week.

It is always tough returning to work from a vacation, One year on a January vacation to Florida the weather in NJ was so bad that when I called work and asked they said No problem extending Your vacation. That would be the year I went west from Florida all the way to the Carlsbad Caverns and then back to the Orlando area before returning home. Many, most of the roads in NJ were impassable due to thick coatings of ice.

As You say, Better rain than Snow. That is exactly what My brother and I were thinking.

Congratulations on finding more money already.

    Hi all.
Went for a walk this morning, first time in about 2 weeks. It felt good. Took a nice hot soak in the tub and am doing some laundry and sort of half watching the game. I finished the baby blanket I was knitting so that's in the wash.
Kind of a nice day today. Caught up with some things I wanted to check out online.
    Glad Annie's doing better Irene.
Jo, it's hard to get(back) into a routine. You're doing fine.

George got a little extra exercise throwing the stick

I'm sorry to hear that You have to resort to the inhaler, At least they do work so I suppose it could be worse.

Congratulations on the steps and getting back on track

Sunday turned windy around here, I could see the trees whipping in the wind gusts and could hear them whistling around the house over the TV audio.

If I don't fall back to sleep I figure I might as well be doing something so I end up starting my day.

Congratulations on finishing the Baby Blanket. You have so many varied things that You do I wonder that You have any free time.

good morning, well George found a penny this morning . Yesterday from all the running Annie did I noticed she was favoring her good paw so we just took it easy and today on our walk she was fine. We did an hour walk I did get in 6000 steps. Vix I have started crochet blanket probably a Christmas present for one of my sisters they love that stuff. Hey Roger and Jo

    Good morning;
Vix-congrats on finishing the baby blanket. I have been teaching my daughter to knit. So far she has made 2 scarves and a baby blanket. She is just starting her 2nd baby blanket. There are quite a few pregnant ladies at her work, so she decided to knit baby blankets.
Irene-Is your asthma exercised induced? My daughter has that, but the inhalers do not seem to work that good for her.
Roger-Lately I seem to be good at avoiding temptation. I just tell myself, you don't need that or you will regret it later. It seems to be working for me at the moment.
We went to the gym yesterday and today I did a walking video that I found on demand.
Work is having another" big wig" visit on Wednesday, so everyone is running around like crazy.
It is cold here 17 degrees.
Have a nice day and stay warm. :)

    Good morning.
Jo, cool that your daughter is knitting baby blankets for her friends...it's so nice to have handmade gifts. :) Good that your exercising and avoiding temptation...I'm still struggling with that!
Irene, hope you are feeling better. I've tried crocheting, but have a hard time keeping a straight line! Good for you for making a blanket for your sister. :)
Roger, I used to get up when I woke up too....I've changed. Gray and chillier here today too Only supposed to get up to a high of 37 (then warmer tomorrow). I just have a few errands to run today, and cleaning if I get up the motivation!
It's Monday already! Wishing everyone a good week. :)
