    Good morning!
We just went out and got a big cabinet for my office. It's very nice. My daughter and son-in-law will come over later to help us get it into the house. In the mean while, I need to clean up my office and make room for it. :)
Sun is shining....they're finally working on clearing our roads.
Have a great day, everyone. :)

    Hi
A little cold outside this morning, Warmer later and for a few more days. I walked a route I have not been on since the Snowfall as I was not sure if the sidewalks would be shoveled due to where they run. I had to walk in the highway for 50 feet to get around a snowbank so I waited for a red light, no problem. Weekends there is much less traffic then in the weekday rush hour so it was feasible and safe.

Got a coupon for a free 24 oz. travel cup with the purchase of a medium or larger beverage + $1.69 refills through April 30 from Dunkin Donuts so Tomorrow Dunkin Donuts for me. Hopefully they are not out of them by then.

    Have a Good Weekend

    Good afternoon
I am happy to report that my computer is functioning. The tough pad is working only when it wants to. I have a wireless mouse that I use, so I am back in business.
Irene-glad you are feeling better. I am coughing more today, but other than that I feel fine.
Roger-With all the clothes you have been donating, I think a shopping trip is in order for a new wardrobe.
The last of the siding went up today. I hope he works tomorrow to finish up. If not it will probably be Monday.
    Have a good evening.

    Hi Joanne
Good news about the computer. It sounds as if You never take it with You? If so have You thought about a All-In-One when You replace it? That way You can have a bigger screen and only the keyboard is exposed to spills. I use one from Lenovo that has a decent size screen and minimal footprint. If I switched to wireless for the keyboard and mouse and printer I would only have the wire from the power adapter running to it. And that power adapter looks like a laptop adapter.

Well as to shopping I have been slowly replacing clothes and do not need much of anything right now nor do I like shopping TBH :)

Hopefully Your house is done shortly.

    Good Luck with that cough

Jo, glad your computer is working...yay! Hope your cough gets better. House is almost done!
Roger, good that you're walking at all in this mess! :) You're a trooper.
I don't know if the infusions are working or not....that's one of the main things I'm going to talk to the Dr. about. Because of overlapping conditions, I'm never sure which one(s) is/are causing the pain. My husband thinks I give up on treatments too easily, and that's part of why I am trying to stick with this....but if it's not helping....I think the doc will be honest with me, hopefully.
Irene, hope you are feeling better and enjoying your time off.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

    Hi Vix
I am lucky I only have a couple of minor health problems so deciding to drop the prescriptions was easy, after trying multiple ones over a period of months and no change I just dropped them and that specialist too. It was not the expense, it was the also the extra trip monthly for what did not help.

    Good Luck at the Doctors
    Roger
good morning, took Annie for a nice walk this morning got in 5000 steps which is nice trying to get back to walking again . I think it was from stress of my job just can not weight till my 30 days are up and hopefully I feel better I am thinking about transferring to a different department some thing to think about Jo glad your house is almost finished and you are feeling better well need to go finish the laundry

    Hi Irene
I am currently at just over 8k steps, most of which were todays walk. If I were not walking for a while I would ease back into it too.

Good Luck whatever You decide to do. I know I have to think and rethink important decisions

    Good afternoon;
I had my car washed today. It was covered in road salt.
The contractor is here finishing up a few things. He also said he would be back tomorrow.
Roger-I carry my laptop from room to room wherever I am. I don't have an office any more, I converted it into an exercise room.
Vix-Did you get a filing cabinet or one to store craft supplies?
Irene-great job getting your steps in. How many do you average in a day? Do you use a fitbit for tracking your steps?
If so, message me your email address and I will friend you on fitbit. Same goes for you Roger.
    Enjoy your weekend. :)

Jo, it's really a very nice book cabinet that I got with 3 shelves on each side, 2 small drawers on the bottom and sliding glass doors. I'm going to use it for books and craft supplies, but it's almost too nice for that...I'll get those fold up usually canvas baskets for the craft supplies. I may also put some of my finished pottery in there. :)
Roger, cool about the travel mug! I don't buy any prescriptions either....it's just the infusions now and basically supplements or otc pain relievers.
The kids got the cabinet in my room for me...it looks wonderful. :)
Have a great night, everyone. :)

Vix-Your cabinet sounds nice. I am glad it fit in the room. Our temperature is in the 50's and the sun is in and out.
    It feels like spring. :)
Irene-Where did you send your email? I don't have any messages. I noticed that there aren't many choices either, so that is why I switched plans, so I could order some frozen items.
I am going to take pictures of the house and will post them later. I am very happy with the way it came out. :)

    Hi
It was a little chilly out this morning, I walked to the Dunkin Donuts for my Coffee and used the coupon for a free 24 ounce Refillable coffee cup, Cup comes with $1.69 refills until the end of April :) When I looked at the cup closer I see that it has a covering that changes what is displayed depending on Your viewing angle.

I hit 7901 steps by the time I got back home. The sidewalks are getting a little better each day as the snow melts, excluding a few spots such as slopes at driveways where the snow melts and runs down the slope causing a icy spot until the sun can melt it.

    Have a Great Sunday

    Hi Joanne
I use a Fitbit Zip to track steps, but do not really use the forums there at all :)

Well that eliminates a large screen display then.

I am now back from the grocery store where I bought some Light & Fit Greek 4 packs @$3.33 and some Atkins Dinner Entrees to try and Jimmy Dean Delights using coupons, Coupons on the Yougurts if over $7 hence the 3 @ $3.33, it was the four packs or the 10 for $10 and that made the four packs a lot cheaper. Then Some No Sugar Added Vlasic Bread & Butter Spears on sale @ $1.99, Shoprite Frozen Vegetables @ $0.88 and $1.50 off coupon if $6, $0.75 coupon for Breakstone Cottage cheese, Total on sale savings + Coupon was $22.39.

    I love a bargain.

Steps now up to 9631 for the morning to noontime today.

    Have a Nice Day

    Hi Irene
I have now officially gone past my goal for the day in total steps, I look to be at 10K steps and already up to 9600+ and going back out later keeping my brother company in his travels.

You could add $50 A La Carte Frozen any time and get free shipping to try it out. I believe if You add it to Your regular order You save 20% and if You use a NS Gift card from Costco at current prices you save $20 per $100 face value too.

I need to call NS regarding the email titled Limited Time Only. Buy One, Get One Free A La Carte! and pay for it with a Gift card too. Make sure it is still in effect.

I did notice they added a bunch of Shelf Stable Desserts / Snacks recently FWIW.

    Good Luck

    Hi
    I was out walking 7900 steps + 2cents :)
We are heading into a brief period of warmer weather, Yea. The Snow is slowly melting away, That caused some problems when I went out with icing on the sidewalks due to overnight temperatures.

Today I think I will be somewhat lazy and not do to much. Tomorrow on my walk I need to return a book to the library and pick up Bananas as Tomorrow before my walk I will be eating my last Banana.

    Have a Good Upcoming Week

I went around, Not interested in wet shoes to walk in :)

Jo, glad you can see the doc and get that cough taken care of. Hope you feel better soon.
It is warmer today, and melting. The county finally opened the schools today. Our neighbor finished shoveling the last 10-15 feet of our sidewalk that we didn't get to. I'll have to thank them next time I see them. That was really nice of them.
I am going for my regular massage today. Looking forward to that. It has clouded over, but no more precip was forecast, anyway, it's warm enough for rain.
    Enjoy your day. :)

good morning, all is good here. Jo your house looks really nice, hope you start to feel better not fun having a cold . Amazon is really getting rid of a lot of people 6 more people got write ups on Sunday it looks like the ones that are there over a year they are getting rid of . Oh well I might be looking for a new job but to get rid of us I think it will take like 3 months I will keep my hopes up that this will pass.Jo I never got the invite unless I just didn't see it I will check again. Vix did you get everything in your new cabinet?

Irene, wishing you lots of luck with your job...that's awful that they are getting rid of so many people. Most places would just hire temps for the busy season. Seems better to let people know up front. Logically they would want to keep someone who could train others, so you might be in a good position. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
My cabinet is still empty. There are some tape marks on the glass doors I need to clean off, and I need to decide how I want to organize it. I will definitely be putting some books on the lower shelves.
    Clay class for me today.
Hope everyone has a good day. :)

I went walking this morning at approx 7:40 and it was 11 degrees colder than yesterday for the same time.
Not to bad however, Then when my brother left at 11AM I walked up to the bank and then over to the dollar store
looking for the UHT milk quarts. No Joy :(
Total Steps so far 14,598 as of 12:30.

    Have a Nice Tuesday

Went to the dr. yesterday afternoon, I have pneumonia. I am on antibiotics twice a day for 10 days and then I have to go back to the dr. and have another chest x-ray. I feel good other than the coughing and that has quieted down a lot.

    Hi
I used Atkins frozen Dinners as I had a coupon for it and it looked good. I had the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Frozen meal. The calories are a bit higher than the NS Chicken in BBQ Baked beans @ 330 calories. 26G Protein, High Sodium @ 1070mg, 4g of fiber seems low and 9g of carbohydrates, Not unexpected as Atkins is a low Carb high protein diet plan. 9ounces weight vs the NS Chicken Alfredo, however the NS has no vegetables and lots of pasta and less chicken. The Amount of Chicken in the NS seems to be all over the place too.
Mini review. Tasty with pieces of Broccoli and several Nice sized pieces of Chicken Breast meat, slightly salty taste but I will probably buy again if I can find another $1 off coupon for one entree.

The other Atkin Entree I tried was their Beef Merlot with Broccoli. Tasty will buy again Nice quantity of Beef. 9G Carbs, 920g sodium, 3g fiber and 310 calories. 9 ounces weight

I did get out for my walk this morning, The rain has not really moved in yet :) I did get drizzled on for a little while and then it stopped. 20 degrees warmer that yesterday for the same time according to the Weatherman.

    Have a Nice Wednesday

    Hi Joanne
Be careful withe the pneumonia, I ended up in the hospital with it getting intravenous antibiotics after
passing out in the doctors office one year. I was lucky I had insurance through work at that time.

When I was in a Union Job they would rather work a current employee with overtime rather than hire a new person.
The Driving positions were able to be filled with part time workers under the union contract and that was the path to become a full time
employee. I started part time and they liked my work so they made me a full time employee.

    Good Luck with the Pneumonia

Is this a union job? if so talk to the shop steward in addition to HR. This sort of thing is due to having to meet

    Hi Vix
I love the effect on the Gas heating bill of these warmer temperatures :)

Sadly in todays environment trained employees have gone from being valued assets to being costly once they get anywhere.
To many companies seem to think workers are like anything else disposable, use it up and replace it with a newer cheaper version :(

Have a Nice Day and stay Dry

    Good afternoon;
It just started to rain here. I feel a little better today, not as much coughing. The antibiobics make me feel a little nauseous. The dr. said take with food, the pharmacist said take on an empty stomach and no dairy. I miss my yogurt. :'(
Irene-I would talk with HR and get as much info as you can.
Roger- Thanks for the review of the Atkins. I don't usually buy frozen dinners because of the sodium count.
Vix-I will definitely get the pneumonia shot in the future. I will ask when I see the dr. on my next appt.
I got a call from NS, my first shipment of frozen will arrive in 3 days.
Roger-Do they always call and let you know?
    Have a good evening. :)

Jo, there are actually 2 different pneumonia vaccinations. If you get the Prevnar 13 vaccination first, you can can the pneumovax 8 weeks later. If you get the pneumovax first you have to wait a year before you can get the Prevnar 13.
I think it depends on the type of antibiotic whether you take them with food or not , you might want to look it up by name, especially if it's making you nauseous. Hope you start feeling better.
Have a good night, everyone. :)
