    Good morning;
It is currently 39F with a high of 69F.
Ed-good for you getting out and voting early.
I have already transitioned into long pants and long sleeve shirts and sometimes a sweater. :)
Today the project is cleaning out the filter in the septic system. Hubby will open the cover, but I get the
job of cleaning the filter. He has a very week stomach and would probably get sick and be no good for
the rest of the day. I on the other hand have a very strong constitution.
We went out for lunch yesterday. I had chicken, broccoli and penne with a chopped side salad. I took half
home and had the rest or dinner. Hubby had chicken piccata.
    Have a great day. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 9 (C) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 22 and 1% chance of precipitation. I might get out for some groceries today, but may wait until tomorrow.

It was a good work week, I think, and I had some rather complex data analysis to finish it off yesterday. That was fun.

We ordered delivery of Thai food, and even though the restaurant is not far, they were swamped and the delivery ran late. The food was great when it got here.

The GrubHub driver was even surprised at how long he had to wait to pick it up and asked me if the food there is good. He said the place was packed with people waiting.

I told him it is. I didn't mention that it's a teensy bit on the pricey side, but we love it. Being on the pricey side, we don't eat there or order delivery often, but we always enjoy it when we do.

I really should get that other load of laundry folded today.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 8 (C) sunny degrees with an expected high of 25 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Dinah and I got the rest of the laundry folded and put away.

Remember that burro's tail that I started some time ago from three pieces that had fallen off a parent plant at the nursery where we bought some other plants?

Jason repotted it for me yesterday as it desperately needed it. In the process, coincidentally, exactly 3 pieces fell of it. After letting them harden a little, they have been placed in the pot with their parent plant to see if we can get these three more bits going. I am very pleased with the growth of the plant since I got it started.

Here it is, resting in the sink as I ponder exactly where to put (or hang) it.

    Good evening;
It is currently 70F, a big change from the cooler weather we had at the beginning of the week.
We went to the last farmer's market of the season. We also burned some more branches. The pile is slowly coming down.
Ed-your plants looks good. Did you just stick the pieces right in the dirt or did they have to root in water first?
Hi Irene-your walks will be nice with the warmer weather.
    Have a good evening. :)

I just let the pieces "harden" for a few hours then stuck the base in the dirt. These would likely rot if you tried to root them in water.

Nothing critical on the agenda but my usual work day.

    Currently 70F with a high of 76F.
I went to Kohl's to return something, did 2 loads of laundry and broke some more branches into manageable sizes
to fit in the fire pit. I also did a 1 mile indoor walking video. After lunch I will do 30 minutes on the elliptical. I am trying to
up my exercise to see if I can shift some of this weight.
    Have a great day! :)

    Scam of the Week

Don’t Fall for This Blackmail Scam

Cybercriminals are always looking for ways to trick you into acting impulsively, and this scam is no exception. They obtain your personal information through data breaches and then use photos of your home accessed from Google Maps to play on your emotions. They claim that they have videos of you and other personal information that they will release if you don't pay a ransom.

In this scam, you receive an email with an attachment containing a photo of your home and your street address. The scammers claim they know where you live and that they’ve hacked into your home computer to take videos of you using its camera. Then, they threaten to release the footage if you don’t pay them with Bitcoin immediately. The photo of your home makes it seem like they could have actual videos of you, making their scam terrifying and convincing. The catch is that the cybercriminals don’t have any videos of you in your home. They are trying to scare you into giving them your money!

Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to this blackmail scam:

Never click a link or download an attachment in an unexpected email. If you receive a similar email, do not respond or pay the ransom. Attacks like these are designed to catch you off guard and trigger you to act impulsively.  Be careful with the personal information you share online. Cybercriminals can use this information to target you in phishing attacks.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 9 (C) clear degrees with an expected sunny high of 26 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I am taking the day off to see a doctor and get shot 3 or 4 times if I can get that many in one visit, and I need to run by the Social Security office to see about signing up for Medicare Part B which I should have done along with part A but foolishly didn't realize that part B was not the same as all the myriad of Advantage plans being offered by various insurance companies.

Well, even at 65 we live and learn! LOL.

Breakfast was some oatmeal, a banana, and hot breakfast sausage patties.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 11 (C) foggy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 27 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I got my flu shot and RSV shot. I'm not due yet for anything else but Covid and I'll get that at Walgreens next week I guess. My doctor didn't have that one available.

My left arm is a bit sore from the flu shot. The right arm, where I got the RSV shot is not so bad, but a teensy bit of soreness.

While I was out and about I did get my Medicare part B all straightened out at the Social Security office, did a little shopping, came home and cooked a late lunch (cheeseburger Palm Beach) and then took a couple of items to Goodwill. Never even activated the screen on the work computer so a full day off succesfully accomplished!

I find that when I have a late morning appointment that just messes up my whole work day if I try to work the afternoon. I feel rushed and behind and just all discombobulated. I'm glad I planned the whole day off this time. That worked out well for me.

    But now...back to work!

    It's currently 50F, 10C. Sunny. High 78F, 26C. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
We had a really nice time on vacation. The scenery is beautiful, we went to places we didn't go last time. We saw some petroglyphs, walked through canyons, up on mountains, a vortex site, and drove the scenic highway, stopping at vista points. I took a lot of photos, I'll attach a couple I thought were pretty nice.
    Wishing all a happy 🐪 day. 🍂🌞🕊️

Ed-It is good to take a day off once in a while.
    Hi Irene
I took Sam for his first vet visit. He weighs 11 lbs. and the vet thinks he is about 3 years old. He was a very good boy at
the vet. I was a little nervous because I didn't know how he would react. So now he is all up to date on his shots and I had
him chipped. He was mad at me last night, but today we are friends again.
I have an appointment for a physical this afternoon.
    Enjoy your day! :)

Ed, good that you got your shots, straightened out your Medicare, and took a day off. 😊
Jo, hope you had a wonderful birthday. Sam sounds healthy and happy, and settling in. I hope your physical went well.
I went to my clay group on Tuesday afternoon. Then came home and did more laundry.
I had my mammogram yesterday, and I have an appt with the cardiologist tomorrow , and a acupuncture appt. Still not back to normal after our trip. My timing is all off and I'm not sleeping well.
I'm sure I'll settle back in after another few days.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 9 (C) clear degrees with an expected sunny high of 28 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Yesterday's demo to the big boss (company owner) went really well and he even praised me and my quality assurance work!

Today I will have plenty of testing to do I'm sure.

Dinner yesterday was spaghetti. Jason had marinara and plenty of cheese topping. Mine had all that and meatballs from the freezer too.

Jo, it's a little chilly here too. I will also be getting some blood work, and am scheduled for a CTA scan in November. First time for that.
We voted on Thursday, glad that's done.
We went out to dinner last night. I got a Rachel sandwich (it was yummy), and have half left over for today. I have some catching up to do around the house.

We have 15 (C) foggy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 19 and 2% chance of precipitation.

Nothing critical on the agenda today. I do need to get to the grocery at some point this weekend, and need to buy a bag of Orion's special prescription kibble at the pet store.

It was a good work week, but I'm ready for the weekend!

Dinner last night was an omelet Palm Beach that we split, along with some crispy diced hash browns.

for breakfast I had boiled eggs, oatmeal, a banana, and orange juice.

Ready to catch up on email and stuff now.

    Good morning all
Jo, fish and chips is a treat! Yum. I've never heard of Ocean State Job Lot, I guess it's like Big Lots used to be. That's nice to have a bargain store nearby.
It's currently 42F, 6C. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 58F, 14C. Winds light and variable.
We met our son and his baby, Maddie in Centennial Park ( a beautiful park in Howard Co, Md) yesterday, to enjoy the sunshine and changing colors. Maddie is growing up so fast, she's walking now and pulling our son around with her! She's just adorable.
Catching up with bills and household chores today.
Wishing all a peaceful Sunday. ☕🌞🍂🍎🎃🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 17 (C) degrees. The weather channel site says there is a rain shower, but not at our house. We have an expected cloudy high of 23 and 50% chance of precipitation.

Regardless, I need to get some shopping done today, so that will be happening.

Nothing else critical on the agenda.

When the recipe was given to me, it was called an omelet Palm Beach. I'm not sure where the name came from, but presumably an omelet Palm Beach or Cheeseburger Palm Beach was supposedly called that because of the use of pimento cheese as the filling or topping.

Now it really makes more sense to just say a pimento cheese omelet, but I must say Omelet Palm Beach sounds fancier.

Speaking of pimento cheese, the same friend also clued me in to something his family had always done, and I still do. Pimento cheese, whether homemade or store bought, is amazing if you add sweet pickle relish or minced sweet gherkin to it. There wasn't any exact amount, though he usually used, I think, 1 minced sweet gherkin to about a cup of cheese, one small jar of pimento, drained, and enough mayonnaise to make it spreadable, but not runny.

He didn't actually mince any of it but used a food grinder to push chunks of cheese and the gherkins through, then adding the mayonnaise and pimento.

I usually use sweet pickle relish and shredded cheese now. It really does make a very tasty spread.

    good morning
Ed, the omelet Palm Beach sounds good. I haven't had pimento cheese in ages.
I caught up with bills and realized I hadn't checked my bank statements in 4 months, so I got that done. I swept some leaves off the deck, checked to see if any more of the outdoor coleus was intact (no, it wasn't), and potted the coleus I had brought in before our trip. It had lost a lot of leaves and wasn't looking so healthy. I did some laundry, and mending, and somehow filled up the day.
