Irene, that's great that you got to remove the monitor. I'm sure it was annoying to have to wear it so long.

    Hoping the results are good!

    good morning

Irene, I'm sure it's a relief to remove the monitor, hope your results are good. Ed, the never ending laundry. Now that Pete is working in the yard more, there is more of it! Jo, hope you're getting nice weather. It goes back and forth here.

It's currently 37F, 3C. Sunny. High 64F,18C. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. I have a massage appt this morning, and then I'm meeting some friends for lunch. It should be a nice day. Wishing all a fine Thursday. ☕🌞🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 7 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected toasty, sunny high of 26 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Yesterday Jason and I went all out for lunch, making homemade chilis rellenos. We each had two peppers stuffed with Oaxaca cheese, somewhat breaded, and fried. While that was being done, I made refried black beans and got Spanish rice ready to heat up. The resulting lunch was delicious.

For supper we had a huge salad. Mine had bacon and extra cheese. Both had chopped eggs. And I made my homemade Thousand Islands style salad dressing. My croutons were Katz gluten free garlic croutons.

Breakfast this morning was some buckwheat groats, cottage cheese with mandarin orange segments stirred in, and bacon. Orange juice and tea for the beverages.

    Work beckons!

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 11 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 29 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Sounds like a great day to do some outdoor activity, but I'm working so will be indoors.

Supper was some chicken tenders and loaded mashed potatoes, with a chocolate creme filled cupcake for dessert.

Breakfast was some Crispix cereal with milk, and on the side sausage links, cottage cheese, and orange juice. Drinking tea now.

    good morning

Hi Jo and Irene. Ed, your chili rellenos sound delicious. I used to love them. I had a panini for lunch out, chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers and pesto, with a side salad. Half the sandwich came home with me for dinner. Yum.

It's currently 46F, 8C. Partly cloudy. High 79F, 26C. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph. Hot!!! I have some laundry to fold that I forgot in the dryer the night before last. And it's Friday cleaning for me. Looks like a nice day to be out, will see what the day brings. Wishing all an easy Friday. 🌞🤞🏻🕊️

    Good morning;

It is currently 57F with a high of 64F and sunny. It is a nice day to be outside. Sorry Ed that you have to work. Vix-your sandwich sounds good. The contractor to do the walkway called yesterday to say that he should be able to start within a week. The mason to do the other work will pick up a deposit next week and will start soon after. We have a few things to move in the garage to get ready for that. Now I just have to wait for the landscaper to show up and do the spring cleaning and the outside of my house will be ready. Enjoy this nice weather.😀

    good morning

Jo, you sound very busy with your house. I'm sure it'll look great when all the work is done. Pete's been replacing some outdoor plants. I did a lot of cleaning and caching up on paying bills and balancing bank statements yesterday. I also filled in medical forms for Drs visits. That took forever! I should do some Spring cleaning, get rid of things that are cluttering up. Hi Ed and Irene.

It's currently 67F, 19C. Cloudy skies. High 84F, 29C. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph. Hot, but a bit of a breeze. Will see what today brings. Wishing all a fun weekend. ☁️☕🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 18 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 30 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Nothing critical on the agenda but I do intend to do something about that laundry waiting to be folded, and may create another dryer full that may wait a few days!

Dinner last night was a Milton's cauliflower crust three meat pizza. Breakfast was a Jimmy Dean meat lover's bowl, and some Goodie Girl oatmeal breakfast biscuits. The usual orange juice to drink, and will start drinking my tea after I feed the felines. Ruby is being pesky about it because I am a few minutes late!

    good morning

Ed, Pete had a chickpea crust pizza last night, Banza, roasted veggie. He added more toppings, and liked it. We went out with my daughter and her little ones for a while yesterday, it was fun. Someone told our grandson that if you planted jelly beans the night before Easter they became lollipops, so I just went out and planted lollipops. Not a great idea!

It's currently 65F, 18C. Clouds and some sun this morning with more clouds for this afternoon. High 71F, 22C. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph. Wishing all a peaceful Sunday and a Happy Easter.🐰⛅☕🤞🏻🕊️

    Good morning;

Happy Easter,Passover and Orthodox Easter. I wonder how often they all fall at the same time? Vix-I am sure the grands will enjoy their lollipops.

It is Currently 53F with a high of 70, sunny and breezy. Even though it got into the 80's yesterday, there was a nice breeze. We are having Easter brunch today, Quiche, ham, blueberry muffins and chocolate cream pie. Enjoy your day!🐇🐣

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

Happy Holiday, whichever you celebrate! Or just happy Sunday if you don't celebrate any of them.

We have 23 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 28 and 1% chance of precipitation.

Vix, if I see one of the Banza pizzas I may pick it up to try. It sounds good.

Supper last night was bean and cheese nachos. Refried beans, white cheese sauce with jalapeños, and hot red salsa. Breakfast this morning was 3 eggs (two hard boiled, one Cadbury) the rest of the open package of deli sliced ham and turkey, one small pomelo, orange juice, and tea.

As you can see the Easter Bunny came around.

    image.png

Laundry to fold this morning. I'll get on that shortly.

    Early evening update:

The Easter "feast" was probably the laziest feast ever for me. After my cold breakfast, I followed up with a cold Easter luncheon about 1:30 in the afternoon. The only warm part was the croissant. I had cold, Smithfield Anytime ready to eat sliced ham, Reeser's Deviled Egg flavor potato salad, into which I stirred a generous blob of sweet pickle relish, deviled eggs (which I made myself, and ate too many of) and no wine or special beverage, only the last of my second mug of coffee. For dessert I ate the ears off my Reese's chocolate peanut butter bunny, and had a banana later, after doing my weekly shopping.

After shopping I also folded the laundry in the dryer and put the last (for now) load into the washer. I'll get that into the dryer in a while but don't expect to actually get it folded today.

My supper will be leftover ham and some potato salad. Jason may eat some of the potato salad, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to make some ramen noodles or the like. He had deviled eggs and potato salad for lunch but declined the offer of a warm croissant. And of course he doesn't eat meat, so no ham.

    good morning all

Jo, your Easter brunch sounds yummy. I think Easter and Passover often fall together as they are both related to the lunar calendar or the moon. My daughter also set up an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos in our yard, and I picked up a couple of large plastic eggs for them, Mario Bros and Disney princesses; I told them a bunny stopped off with them. Ed, your meal looks very tasty. The chickpea crust has a bit more protein. Irene I hope you had a nice Easter. Sorry to hear about the Pope's passing this morning.

It's currently 55F, 13C. Cloudy skies. High 71F, 22C. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. I made some chocolate chip cookies yesterday and a few without the chips for our grandson. He doesn't like chocolate, 🙃 don't know where that came from! They spent the afternoon with their other grandparents and family so they had lots of celebrating. 🐰 I have my yearly physical appt this morning. And will see what the rest of the day brings. Wishing all a bright shiny new week.⛅☕👨🏻‍⚕️🌟🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have 15 (Celsius) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 28 and 2% chance of precipitation.

Supper last night was ham and potato salad. Breakfast was ham and eggs, sourdough toast with butter and mixed berry jam, and a small bottle of orange juice. I'm drinking my morning hot tea now.

There is laundry to be folded, but that may not happen today. I did get the last load (for now) washed and into the dryer yesterday, so progress has been made!

    Work beckons.

    Scam of the Week

    A Text Message Trap

In this week’s scam, you receive a text message that says you have an unpaid invoice, fee, or toll. It seems legitimate because the text message appears to come from a local organization, such as your government’s toll service, tax office, or postal service. It may even contain official logos and branding. The text instructs you to click a link so that you can pay the bill, or you will face a penalty.

However, the text message is actually a smishing message, a text-based phishing attack sent by scammers. If you click the link in the text message, you’ll be directed to a fake webpage that is designed to steal your personal and financial data. If you enter any information here, the cybercriminals will be able to steal it immediately. You won’t actually pay any bills, but you will pay the scammers!

Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to a smishing scam:

Always be suspicious of text messages that you weren't expecting, especially if they are instructing you to take action.

To check the accuracy of a bill, navigate directly to your account on the organization’s official website or app rather than clicking links in text messages.

Remember that legitimate organizations rarely demand immediate action via text message. Scammers often create a sense of urgency to try to trick you into acting impulsively.

    good morning

Ed, I did some laundry yesterday too. Thanks for the scam alert. I got a notice from my bank the other day, it looked legit, but kept telling me my password was wrong, so I went directly to the bank website logged in and changed my password, just in case. They are making the sending addresses and notices look more real. Hi Jo and Irene.

It's currently 60F, 16C. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 76F, 24C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. I'm going to stained glass class this a.m., then I have an appt at a Women's Integrative Health Center this afternoon, and a haircut scheduled after that. Wishing all a fine Tuesday, looks like it will be nice out! ☕⛅👩🏻‍⚕️🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! We have 19(Celsius) mostly cloudy degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 22 and 91% chance of precipitation that could include thunderstorms.

    Still laundry to fold. LOL.

Supper last night was chicken tenders with mashed potatoes. Breakfast was a Jimmy Dean breakfast bowl with sausage, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar cheese. I had a Katz chocolate chip toaster pastry with it, and a red plum, along with orange juice to drink. I'm having my tea now.

For lunch today I'll get back to the leftover ham and potato salad, as they need to be eaten up.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 17 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 25 and 53% chance of precipitation.

Still laundry to fold. Supper last night was nachos. Breakfast this morning was Quaker gluten free oatmeal, one of their few certified gluten free products. With that I had link sausages and some leftover potato salad, and my usual orange juice. I may have a banana later or may save that for afternoon snack.

I'm sipping the last of my tea now and brewing my first cup of coffee.

    Work beckons.

    good morning

Ed, Pete decided to roast the extra turkey he bought at Thanksgiving last night. He took it out of the freezer Monday a.m, because there wasn't enough room for what he brought home from the grocery store. I'm glad it's not a large one. Hi Jo and Irene, hope all is well.

It's currently 59F, 15C. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 76F, 24C. Winds light and variable. Looks like it's going to be a nice day. No special plans for today, usual routine, and will see what the day brings. Wishing all a happy 🐪 day. ☕🌞🤞🏻🕊️

    Good afternoon;

I just realized that I haven't been on the computer in a few days. I don't know what I was doing but I must have been busy.🤔 The landscapers came today to do spring clean-up. The contractor will be here on Monday to put in the new walkway and the concrete mason should be here some time this week to pour a new patio and fix the garage apron. I went to the garden center and picked up a few flowers to plant in a pot for the front stairs. The weather has been so nice. It is currently 68F and sunny. Enjoy your evening.😀

Jo, your house is going to look so great, getting all spruced up! I'm like that too, don't remember what I've done, but somehow I know I was busy! 😂 Hi Ed and Irene.

It's currently 49F, 9C. Partly cloudy. High around 80F, 27C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. It got hot yesterday. The irises and the Kwanzan cherry trees are blooming. So pretty! I know I exercised, went for a walk, carved up the turkey and put it into containers, and did a load of laundry. I need to run some errands today, and will see what else the day brings. Wishing all a delightful Thursday. 🌤️☕🌺🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 17 (Celsius) degrees with an expected mostly cloudy high of 21 and 49% chance of precipitation that could include thundershowers or storms. We had a bit of thunder in the evening last night but no significant rain so far. Not even on the day with the 91% chance a couple of days ago.

Vix, turkey sounds great and you won't have to cook much for a few days. There's so much that can be made from leftovers too.

Joanne, please post pictures after all the work is done. Sounds like your yard and outdoor environs will be busy for a few days.

Supper last night was chicken and dressing. The dressing was a Katz gluten free dressing mix. It was OK, though I would probably add more sage, onion, and garlic next time, and maybe a bit of crushed rosemary.

I made it with butter, rather than the oil (or margarine) called for, and totally destroyed any chance of kosher by stirring chicken right into the dressing.

Breakfast was a big bowl of Bob's Red Mill gluten free European style muesli, prepared hot, with a bit of cinnamon and some coconut sugar for a sweetener. Turkey sausage links on the side, and a small bottle of orange juice to wash that and my morning pills down.

    Tea now, coffee later.

    Still laundry to fold.

Aw, Irene, so sorry. Hope you feel better soon. Ed, I did see some Katz gluten free toaster pastries at Weis grocery. I was looking for Pamela's lemon cookies. Couldn't find them anywhere. (Pamela's makes great gluten free cookies!) I like to use them for crust on my blueberry cheesecake. Jo, I'm going to wait a little while before putting any plants out. It's warm, but still chance of a chill.

It's currently 57F, 14C. Partly cloudy early followed by scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. High 79F, 26C. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%. I have a Volunteer Luncheon today to celebrate heading up the Clay Crafters, and acupuncture later in the afternoon. Our housecleaner is coming this morning, so that's good. Dogwoods are in full bloom. Wishing all an easy Friday. Enjoy the beautiful weather while you can. ☕🌺🌤️🌂🤞🏻🕊️

Hope you feel better soon, Irene!

Still laundry to fold! But as I'm nearing a need to run another load, that will probably happen today.

Supper last night was a gluten free frozen lasagna entree I found at Sprouts. It was decent, but not wonderful. I might buy it again sometime, if in the mood for lasagna, as I haven't found gluten free lasagna noodles in any of my local stores. But honestly, I don't eat lasagna all that often so it's kind of a treat anyway.

Breakfast was the last of my Bob's Red Mill gluten free European style muesli, served cold this time, with whole milk, and after that a tenderloin steak. Orange juice to drink. Tea now while I'm working.

    Well, back to it!

    Good evening;

Irene-I am sorry to hear that you have a kidney stone. I hope it passes soon. Ed-I will post pictures probably the end of next week. Vix-The flowering trees are blooming here as well. It is so nice to see. I had a Dr. appt. for a blood pressure check. BP looks good and no change to meds. I also had blood work to check my A1c and kidney function. I should get the results in a few days. I also worked this morning, so I busy day for me. Hubby power washed the deck. Our next door neighbors are moving this week. I hope we get neighbors just as good as they were. It is currently 78F and cloudy. Enjoy your evening!😀

    good morning

Ed, Barilla makes gluten free lasagna noodles. I've also used regular pasta with my lasagna recipe. Rainy here too. Jo, glad your BP is good, hope your other tests are fine too. Funny, Pete powerwashed the deck yesterday too! We were lucky with our new next door neighbors, they are nicer than the previous. Irene, I hope you're feeling better.

It's currently 65F, 18C. Showers and thunderstorms - a few could contain very heavy rain, especially this afternoon. High 74F, 23C. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Higher wind gusts possible. We were supposed to watch our grandson play soccer this a.m., but pretty sure that will be cancelled. Will see what the day brings. Wishing all a relaxing, fun weekend. 🌧️☕🤞🏻🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 19 (Celsius) cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 28 and 15% chance of precipitation.

I'm getting a bit of a late start today, what with it being Saturday and the cats letting me sleep in a bit. I was up past 11:30 last night so was glad they let me sleep until 8:30 this morning.

I have a load of whites to fold. Nothing else critical on the agenda, and the folding may or may not happen.

Jason ordered a small crate of sweet grapefruit that arrived this morning, but I had already eaten my breakfast so will put off eating an orange.

Dinner last night was Marco's pizza. Mine was a small, with gluten free cauliflower crust, ground beef, pepperoni, and ham. I ate the whole thing, though I really should have kept half for breakfast. Jason ate half of his large double cheese, and has half left to eat today. That will probably be his lunch. So far no problems from the pizza so I think they did as good a job as they could keeping it away from stray wheat flour.

Breakfast was some Quaker gluten free brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal, a steak made from mushrooms, the usual orange juice, and a packet of gluten free oatmeal breakfast biscuits with my tea.

I am having my coffee now and will probably just have a light lunch after a while because breakfast was a bit late.
