Sorry to worry you, we did get snow, but our area only got 3 inches. I got busy yesterday and didn't post. Everything is good, I made a big pot of cabbage soup with ground beef for supper yesterday that turned out great.
Ray lives in Ky, too. I don't think her area got alot either, some areas got 12 inches south of us. It suppose to warm up this week and reach 50 by next weekend.
Marie-That is wonderful losing almost 6 pounds this month. Your plant based diet is working. Way to hang in there. I will check back later. Have a good day, everyone. Janice

Congrats on your January losses, Marie!! Your "when" is definitely now!

I think Ray lives in Kentucky, too. We have snow showers yesterday morning and that was it...there was more in the upper part of the state.

Marie-I seen on a show where they baked the spaghetti squash whole, then cut it up, it was softer. It was the Kitchen. I looked it up, you prick the squash with fork all over put the whole squash on rimmed cookie sheet bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes, flipping halfway thru the cooking. When cool enough to handle cut le gthwise and scoop out seeds, then scrape the spaghetti squash out to eat. I hope that helps. Janice

    hi ladies,

just checking in...been a pretty quiet weekend for us. hubby and I actually saw a movie yesterday.

diet wise I'm about the same, had a little binge Friday night. felt like I needed it but kow I didn't. I am such a sugar girl, all or nothing for me. moving on and glad it wasn't a lot of damage. the woman I work with thinks my metabolism is so damaged:( she suggested I cut to 1200/cal a day but I just thik I will be hungry then and binge. I don't know:(

@slw19...just my 2 cents...1200 cals will not fuel the kind of exercise you do. You are so right..that low will be setting yourself up to binge because you will be hangry!

    Good morning, friends! Happy Monday!

Marie..good to see you early and loving your message! <3

    Janice..your cabbage soup sounds yummy!

Steph..if you only have a few pounds left, that could be a huge factor. Maybe tweaking your food some may help.

My veggitti, hopefully, will be here tomorrow. I contacted Amazon, they cancelled the order, and I reordered. Their customer service is great. Anyway, I am ready for some zoodles with marinara sauce sometime this week! I am down .06 this morning, and although I am losing in ounces, I am going to take it!

    Have a great day, losers!

    If not now, when?

    Good morning,
Great to see that everyone seems to be doing well.

Was a great football weekend. Glad Peyton and the Broncos won. Super Bowl will be a hard one as I like Cam and Peyton.

-Marie, So happy for you as you're doing great on your plant based diet. 5 pounds is awesome!!!

-Connie, You have it going on too!!! Are you still doing the low carb??? You are doing great!!!

I am down but will wait to post amount until I get rid of water weigh from eating popcorn yesterday that was way too salty. Don't know what happened to Orvil's 100 cal bags as it was bad
salty but I ate it anyway.
I am trying to stay around 1000-1100 cals/day.

    Have a great day.

    Good afternoon, everyone.
Connie-My soup was really good. Congrats on another loss, whats your total?

Today I put a roast and carrots in crockpot and a can of fat free beef broth, golden mushroom, and a packet of soup and onion dip mix plus seasoning. I haven't weighed in a couple of days, last time it was 182.6, not happy about that. Today its been a 700 day streak, on mfp. Its time to get busy Spring is in 2 months, then Derby alittle over a month after that.

    Marie-Did you cook your squash?
Nancy-Glad you have a loss on the scale, I know its been awhile. I forgot you and Marie are big football fans. Who's your team?
Stephanie- I agree with you do lots of exercise, 1200 sounds low. Do you eat back your exercise calories? How many calories do you have set for each day. I am trying to quit eating them back. It seemed I quit losing after counting them as extra calories to eat. I like it when I eat at 1300-1425 calories. I did that for my first year and was always losing.
    Gotta run. Janice

@janiceclark08 Thanks, Janice! I have lost 26.8 pounds and 9 of those are since I started low carb late October. 14 more pounds will put me at 199 and that is my mini-goal for summer...not saying early summer or late summer, just summer. ;)

It is taking forever, but I will get there.

@eyegirl777va Congrats on your loss, Nancy!! Have you tried popping your own popcorn in a brown paper lunch bag? That way you control salt/butter.

Oh yeah..got my veggetti pro today!

    Hello Ladies,

I will read your posts later but here is what the weekend brought.

Kristina and John arrived late on Saturday so dinner was late. I was a regular Susie Homemaker and
made baked fish with panko and parmesan with spices, homemade broccoli mac and cheese and salad. I also made some raspberry muffins for breakfast which I got on Pinterest, low sugar, high protein with yogurt 180 calories for one.

We had a full day at the TM retreat on Sunday with 7 of us attending. Two TM instructors and one was a yoga instructor for 40 years. My daughter who is also an instructor ended up doing the demonstrations
on the yoga poses. We had 3 meditation sessions and a lovely lunch made by a cook which lives
in the house where we had the retreat. A long day but very nice and got to meet a lady who was a
bus mechanic and another lady who was a nurse. Too tired this morning to get up and go to Yoga
class so I slept in and Dave and I went to the arena for a 30 min walk around the arena.

Today has been laundry and catching up. Enjoy the evening.

I'm back home finally and back into the same old same old. So much easier to lose when you can eat at home and not out every meal. I am so elated that the light is on at the end of the tunnel.

I read everyone posts and so much is going on. I already posted my weekend so I am catching up
    on you all.

Marie - your plan is working!!! congrats on the 5.8 lbs. keep up the good work.

Connie - I am losing ounces too. After the weekend which was good eating, I didn't weigh this morning but will tomorrow. Too tired after the weekend. I hope your veggetti gets to you soon so you can
    make some good dishes.

Esther - Great news about the knees, and its a real incentive to lose weight. A great goal!

Janice - Sometimes we slow down on weight loss over the winter. Not as active as summer but
    you are still doing great.

Nancy - My hubby is a football fan too, don't know who is he is rooting for at the super bowl.

Stephanie - I agree 1200 is low for losing weight. I am at 1400 but I must say I am below that most
    days.

I hope all you ladies who are in the snow belt are safe. We are having a thaw today and the roads
    are melting.

I did weigh today and it was down, 181.8, I will take it. Trying to get into a new routine. Thats the first time I have seen that, its been 182 or 183 something, so I see it does change numbers on the new scale.

    Good morning, losers! Happy Tuesday!

Janice..yay for you!! :) New routines are great...that way we don't stagnant. Our bodies get used to the same things. I am so ready to get to where you are.

Marie..you are a HUGE part of my sticking to my guns. You are an inspiration, kiddo. <3

Shirley..your retreat sounds fun and exhausting!

Nancy..you are petite so 1200 is probably right for you. I am 5'6" 213.2 pounds so I would be starving myself!

Esther...congrats on the promise of a new knee!

Steph, Ruthie, Ray...hello and hope you are hanging in!

It's going to be gorgeous today. We are cleaning/purging/taking to Goodwill. I got my veggetti and hope to use it today. I cannot complain about anything, ladies, because I am just too blessed.

Make it a great day and stay strong. If not now, when?

Connie at long last i think we both know how to beat this game
I had a turtle again this morning. again But according to my records i will go between 3 to 4 days remain the same in the 26 days of this plant base diet no gain a lost every 3 or 4 days. Hope this trend remain. my first month on this plant base diet. I am reading the starch solution book now by John Mcdougall trying to learn all I can.

girls I am cooking in my Instant Pot that Alice gave me for Christmas. I have a lot to learn Slow and easy for me. But man does it cook fast. did pinto beans yesterday. so nice and tender in 40 minutes. I also found out I love these greens. Turnip greens and collard greens
hardly any calories but lots of vitamins Miss my cornbread tho. Wi8ll have to check cornbread out to see how you can make them without eggs.

I weighed again today and I was down .4 to 181.4, trying to get back to where I was the for last few months, before my scale broke last month. I was staying between 178-179 something. Then to get below the 175 mark, and into 160's.
Connie-You have done wonderful on mfp, with losing close to 30 pounds. I am sure you will make your goal of 199 this summer. Are you about purged out?
My husband was in the mood for something sweet Sunday, so he made brownies, I did eat 2 and calculated them. I packed them up yesterday and told him to take them to work today, I seen they were gone, so good, they are a big temptation for me.
Marie-Your instant pot works like a pressure cooker, I have never seen them. 40 minutes is quick for beans to cook.
Gotta run. Have a great day everyone. Janice

    Good afternoon ladies,
Waiting with Ben for his 2nd Chemo treatment. We had a 1pm appt. and it's 3:15pm and we are still waiting to get it started. Bad way to run a railroad but they are really sweet and kind so I am trying to be patient.
I am feeling good as my jeans feel much looser.
-Connie, I am anxious to hear about you veggitti.
-Marie, Like the sound of the Instant Pot. Let us know more about how it works.
    Have a great evening.

    Good morning, losers! Happy Wednesday!

Janice..we have done a good job of purging. My hubs tends to want to hang on to stuff, but I have no problem throwing away. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate over the years. My attitude is if I have not used it in the past year, I don't need it.

Nancy...I hope all is well with Ben. I know waiting must have been annoying.

I did not get to use the veggetti because we were out most of the day and ended up at Outback. Will shoot for using it today, though. We got a closing date for the end of February so things are moving along. We also ran into the the man who was our realtor when we bought this house and sold the old one. He was very new to the business then, and we were is first clients. Soooo...guess who's going to sell this one for us?? This is devine intervention! Has to be a part of God's plan because it is falling into place perfectly.

On my way to the gym this morning.

Make it a great day losers!

    hi ladies,

sorry I have been MIA lately, just kind of in a blah funk. I feel like I keep spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast. my kids are in this in between age where they don't need me but I need to be on call just in case:) my mom's husband has colon cancer and just had his colon removed yesterday. he is 87 so we were all happy he made it through surgery. I keep watching my diet and exercising and nothing is happening. I gained a couple and they really like me:(

nancy, I hope everything went well with your husband's treatment. he sounds like a trooper:)

connie, yay about the vegetti, well everyone knows I love mine. make sure to add some seasoning to the sauce. you only need a little sauce, I usually use 1/2 cup for 250g of zucchini. also, really good news about the house!!

janet, great news about the weight loss. I wish my scale said less!

marie, proud of you. you have made great progress!

Looks like i am last to post.
Connie sounds like moving day si about to get here i am so very happy for you. and going to get your house on the market/

nancy I am really lovin my instant pot and it is an electric pressure cooker only a whole lot lest stress in using it. just put your food in it push a button and forget it. I been making bean soup with lots of veggies and the really do taste really good.I do need to used more starchy veggie tho. More potatoes and more rice. And really easy to keep it clean The plan I am on now is Dr. John Mcdougall Starch solution.. It is still a plant food plan. but eat more starch veggies like potatoes white and sweet potato and rice.o how I love sweet potato His ratio is 70 % starch 20 % veggie and 10 pe% fruit. No animal product no oil So working out great for me. Going to make some brown rice to use with my bean soup I made yesterday. I wsonder if spajettie squash if a starch veggie Will google it

Janice you have lost real well. along with connie I am going to be on the winnin side pretty soon
Steph just keep on your plan and it will come off.

    Marie

    Good afternoon everyone.
Connie-Glad to hear things are coming together with everything, its great how God is there, especially in our time of need. Good luck with your vegetti.
Nancy-I hope Ben is doing good after his cemo, how are you doing, with all that is going on, take care of yourself, sometimes when caring for others we get neglected.
Steph-I wish I could help you, but I really am not doing that great myself, to give very much advice. Maybe take a break and regroup, just a week or 2 without alot of exercise, and eating differently. Marie is always changing her plan and it looks like she has found something working for her.
Marie-I am going to have to check into your instant pot, I may get one, I love put in and forget it, thats why I love my crockpots. Gotta go. Janice
