    Afternoon,

I had yoga this morning and stopped to see my M-I-L but she wasn't there after I check to see if her
car was there. So I had an extra muffin and coffee to bring home. Dave got the muffin and I had
another coffee. Going to do some errands today and groceries.

Dave finished painting the long wall in our entrance way and will do a second coat today.

Jannice - You and I have the same goal of 160 but not getting there only by ounces. My scale was
down this morning so I hope to keep up the motivation. I am at 185.6 lbs. right now. I have been
down to 174.0 on this site but as you see alas I have gained and then some from Christmas.
We can support each other. :)

Connie - Great news about the closing and hope all goes well. Yay, your veggetti is in and now you
can go crazy and start cooking. ;)

Marie - Your plan is working but the percentages are unusual with starches being the highest, just
the opposite of what I thought it would be since it is plant based. But...if its working that is important.

Nancy - My friend went through the same thing with chemo, getting there really early and waiting and
sometimes getting out at dinner time. I hope Ben is doing well and he is taking it well. <3

Hello to the rest of the gals.

Janice I am sure you would love one Yesterday I dump in 2 cups od pinto beans I cooked yesterday for 40 min. Then went to my pantry got out cans of green beans, , yellow homily, can of okra, tomatoes. Some dry onions and somegarlic in a jar added some taco seasoning to it set the timer on it for 5 minutes taste like it had simmer all day.. I kno cans goods are not healtist mBut tryin to clear out my pantry. I did drain all of te cans goods except the ro ages. So that help on the sodium.
I remain the same weight this morning this is day 4 at the same weight. I know this plan is working or I would have had a gain. By now and have not had a gain since I stated almost a month ago. Dr. Mcdoguall plan you would have a 5 to 15 pound lost every month tomorrow is my first month is up.
If I do not gain in the morning I will reach my gold of 5 pounds a month

My husband stayed home from work today sick, he has been fighting a sinus infection. He wanted me to go to the Drs. with him, so I did, he got 3 prescriptions for his cold and also refills on blood pressure and allergy medicine. He never calls in, so I know he really feels bad. After we left the Drs., we went to get some lunch, he was hungry. We had mexican food, lunch was over so we had to order on dinner menu. I did not care for mine at all, the only thing I ate mainly was my taco, I picked at my chalupa and brought home the burrito, which I was already planning on having something leftover. My husband got full fast and we brought a dinner home between the two of us. I learned a lesson today, not thrilled with their combination platters, luckily I had a coupon, buy one get one free.

Shirley-174. is lower than I have seen on this site for me, 160 is just a step ,ultimately I would like to be in the 140's. That was my norm for many years. Its great supporting each other on here.

Marie-I use canned goods, I try to get low sodium, or I drain most things, too.Your dish sounds different but good, I like the taco ssasoning you added in, I will have to try that. I will have to eventually check in to the instant pot.
Its suppose to get warmer this weekend here, I havent felt great either, my sinus have been bothering me too, but not near the way Sonny feels. I am so glad you have reached and kept your goal for the month. I didn't weigh today, we got in a hurry, trying to get to the Drs, I was lucky they worked him in. Hopefully my sodium isnt up from the mexican food, when I weigh tomorrow, but there is still 4 days left of the month, I would like to be lower than the first of this month, so far I am.
    Gotta go for now.Janice

Janice I like going by the month on my goal. Alie got my instant pot tru walmart on sell for 75 dollar back on Black Friday or some sort of barging day. I made me some rice today in it , turn out perfect. except I measure out a cup and put my soup over it and that was way to much rice for me will cut it down to 1/2 cup next time. I cook 2 cups of dry rice and it will last me the rest of the week. Plus my soup too . already got my plans made for my next batch of one pot meal.
was trying to get 2 serving of stachy veggies In where I been just getting one servings

I am mostly over my spell i had Christmas.

Hi ladies! Checking in and seeing that everyone is marching along.
We are searching for a house as our lease will be up soon but we can't find anything! It's such a balancing act. I'm totally stressed and exhausted. I need a divine intervention like Connie received.
    Stay strong ya'll!

    Good morning, losers! Happy Thursday!

Janice..hope your hubs is feeling better this morning and you, too. I think over time we lose the taste for foods we used to love.

Ruthie..good to see you! I know how exhausted you must be. Sending prayers and hoping for divine intervention for you soon.

Marie..glad that rice is not elevating your sugar level. I sometimes miss potatoes. Glad you made your month goal.

Steph...change is good. Our bodies reach homeostasis where they are comfortable and will not budge until we force them by eating/ doing something different.

Nancy..hope Ben is doing well and you have recovered from that long day.

It's cloudy and rainy today. We were out all day yesterday after I finished at the gym and will meet with the mortgage banker today. I am going to make the marinara sauce this morning and hopefully use the veggetti today. I have been too tired to do it the last few afternoons. Maybe I should do the zucchini now and put in the fridge. :)

Make it a great day losers! Stay strong!

Okay...marinara sauce made, zuchinni spiralized, and snack eaten. I just had to try it out.

Marinara sauce recipe was easy, no pot required. The veggetti worked great BUT next time my zuchinni needs to be firmer and a little bigger. It was a little messy, but clean-up was easy. Very satisfied. I put a couple of slices of pepperoni and cheese on top of zuchinni and sauce, zapped it in the microwave and enjoyed it! Next time I will sauté the zuchinni with a little onion and garlic and add a little ground beef to the sauce. I am freezing half of the sauce as it made 4 cups.

    Good afternoon,

It's a beautiful day in Mississippi!!!

Shirley, I am in the same boat as you. I maxed out in December. I was at 154.5 when I got back on the wagon in January. The most I have ever weighed!!! Very unhappy with myself but that's what happens when you go to food in stressful times in your life but if not now when???

-Marie, Good for you, another loss. You and Connie are doing so good.

    Nancy

Today I made some soup, did laundry and then I went to the nursing home. It was a good visit and I stayed an hour and a half. I also talked to the physical therapist manager about therapy for my sister again and she said she would evaluate her and see. She has been known to refuse it from time time previously and thats why they stopped and because insurance frowns on it. So I hope she is in the right mind frame when they do the evaluation and they decide to do it again.

I ended up walking over 10, 525 steps today, trying to play catch up on my month and walking. If I am lucky I will make 500 miles for 5 months total. I am pretty close.

I was surprised but my husband went to work today, tonight he was aching, thats a new symptom, I hope his medicine, starts really kicking this colds butt soon.

Marie-Its great your down more, way to go. I definitely would continue that plan if you like the foods you are eating and it seems you do.

Connie-Glad to see you liked your vegetti. I like pepperonis, too. I put them in my salads sometimes.

Nancy-Dont beat yourself up, you and your husband have been going thru a hard time. You'll start losing again, all of us would love to be 154.5 again, how tall are you and what is your goal. I'm asking because that maybe around what you should weigh at this point in life.

    Gotta go for now. Janice

On my way to the gym so just peeking in. Lots of sun today. Going out to celebrate son's b-day tonight. His actual day is Tuesday. His wife is taking him away for the weekend so we will have dinner with them tonight. It will be at a steak house so that will be easy.

GOOD MORNING MY FRIENDS, Lovely morning here in Texas. should be reaching 76 by tomorrow/ nice walking weather

I did have a nice lost this morning will post it February 1st Monday when my month is up. I am very please with the result of this month. Did not ever see the day I would do it. it was a long battle. but i am on my way I am going to have oven fries this morning with a veggie. Found the recipe on the internet , yummy I know now what it takes for my body, All the other diets did not satisfy me so therefore I just kept on eating, now i am completely satisfied and have no desire to over eat. Did not have a single gain but lots of no gain morning Having these no gain days is what paid off. My confidence is up on this plan. I thinking bake potatoe, salad and black beans., hot roll without butter.

Connie <3 enjoy your day out with your kids. The steak house will be nice. and you can stick to your plan. I am worried about tomorrow, Alice will be out tomorrow and i do not want to leave my Instant pot cooker.meals. I thinking bake potatoe, salad and black beans. lots of starch food. hey i may even have a hot roll without butter. This is not a bad way to go.

<3 janice glad you had a nice visit with your sister.

<3 Nancy hang in there. You are really going thru a rough time. of it now. I went thru throat cancer with Jerry about 3 years ago. But everything turn out fine. except the radiation treatment really burnt his neck up / he is fine now. except I am having problems with his memories I am afraid for him to get out running errands afraid he wont fine his way home.

    have a great day.

    -M
    Oh o:) Me. <3

    Good afternoon, everyone.
I have been doing laundry and catching up on a few things, getting ready to go to the grocery. Its suppose to get mid 60's tomorrow, so I would rather have the grocery done. I am not sure what I am doing this weekend, my husband will most likely be resting and trying to feel better. I know I wanna get outside.
I did weigh today and it was down a couple more ounces to 181.2, slowly but surely heading downward. The month is almost over and hopefully everyone is lower than the first of the month, if not dont worry, theres always February. From my highest weight this month, I am down 2.6 pounds, not very much but better than gaining. Have a good weekend. I need to head out soon. Janice

Hi guys. I have been hiding this week. I came home with a massively painful sinus infection. Yet again..... This one I could feel building on the flight halfway to Seattle last Wednesday. By the time we flew home I was hurting. By Monday I was blowing bloody yuckies. I went to the doc yesterday. She gave me Zithromax. But I take 2 yesterday. 2 today. 2 tomorrow. And 1 each day for 6 more. I also go in for a cat scan of the sinuses on Monday. I am now classified as chronic sinusitis because I had 5 infections in 12 months. She is also referring me to a ear nose throat doc in Seattle. I will see that doc in June when I go see the knee doc again.

    Good morning, losers!

Marie...you are doing so well with your meals and especially important is that you are satisfied and not hungry!

Janice..that's all we can hope for...a downward trend over time.

Hello to everyone else! Hope you have a fantastic weekend! Feel better, Esther.
Dinner was great last night. We went to Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse. They bring the meat to the table on skewers and if you want a piece, they slice it off/take it off and serve it to you. There was so much offered..not only steak but lamb, chicken, and pork. The salad bar was very elegant and had unusual offerings. It was pricey but worth it and very easy for me to stay on plan. I did not eat the bread or dessert and was very satisfied with what I had.

The house is coming along nicely..countertops and light fixtures are in. It's nice exciting to see what we picked out so long ago finally put in place!

    Stay strong, losers!

    If not now, when?

Connie-The restaurant sounds really nice. Its great that you stayed on track. I cant wait to see the pictures of when its finished.
Esther-Sorry to hear you have a sinus infection, get well soon. Thats what my husband has been dealing with too.
    Gotta run. Janice

I am weighing in in the morning for my monthly weight. Wish me luck.
Alice came out and we took a mini trip out of town.. East Texas just too beautiful to stay in today . A 300 miles round trip. Enjoy all the lovely tall pine trees in the forest Went to an old town called Jefferson Texas and which we took Bruce His wife and baby girl Kelly when she was about two. She had her blankie and drop it in the museum Alice took a picture of it and post it on facebook for Kelly who is now 30 years old. So that brought back lots of memories. Coming home we stop at a Chili's for lunch I had black beans and mash potatoes with Pickles and onions. So was able to stay on my starch solution plan. Oh and Sally called the museums and sure enough it was there so they mail it to her.Good thing for kelly was addicted to it.
We pas by where the tornado hit here a couple weeks and we check how far from my house it was . It was just 5 Miles away from here. Too close for comfort Really was bad looking
<3 Connie you son Birthday dinner sounded great. so glad you stuck by your plan. That would have been hard to do. You got what it takes.
Ok we start a new month Monday So lets all Work your plan the best you can. and it will paid off.

It was such a beautiful day we decided to get out and enjoy the warm weather. Guess we better enjoy as our weatherman said next week will be rough with storms and really cold for a long time.

-Marie, Thanks for your prayers, so far things are going pretty good. Glad you had a good outing with your daughter. She seems to be so good to you and that's such a blessing!!!

I have had a good week staying on target. Just keeping calories around 1100/day. Will post weight next week.

-Esther, hope you get rid of that crud real soon.

Connie, I know you are excited about your new home. Glad you had a good b'day celebration for your son.

-Janice, Hope your husband feels good real soon. Glad you got to get out and enjoy the nice weather.
-Shirley, Hope all is well with you!!! Missed you for a few days.
-Ruthie, How is the house hunting going. I know it must be frustrating for you. Maybe you will find something soon.

Marie Fantastic! You are doing fabulous and this new plan is really working for you. Your doctor
should be proud of you on your next visit. Glad to hear they found the blankey, I know my girls when
they were little they loved their blankies.

Nancy Yes...I am still here but was busy of all things cooking. I made homemade cauliflower and potatoe soup...1 1/2 cups are 262 calories. Then I made egg muffins....one is 180 calories and then
venison chili for dinner. That is low in calorie due to the venison which has no fat.

Connie Your house is really coming together and thank goodness you have the veggetti and seem to be enjoying it.

Esther Sinus infections are nothing to sneeze at, sorry about the pun ;) , I had one this winter and
they are no fun. Good luck on the CT.

Janice Your weight is still lower than me, I am as of today 185.6 and I have lost 6 pounds since
Christmas where I was an all time high again. So the battle continues. I am glad you got hubby into
the doctor's sounds like he needs meds. Since I have been walking with my hubby at the arena my
steps have been getting to the 10,000 mark again. Yoga is fun and great for keeping flexible but not
    so much with steps.

    Hi to Stephanie and Ruthie!

We are going to see Isaac tomorrow and see all the new things he is doing now. We will be taking my
MIL with us and we are all going out for dinner.

    Have a good Sunday everyone!

Today we didnt do much, hubby is feeling better. He cooked some ground round burgers on the grill for supper. Last night my daughter and fiance came over and we had grilled chicken, baked potatoes and mini corn on the cob, that I cooked on the grill. I was glad seeing her its been a few weeks. The weather was nice again today, but cloudy. I got my 500 miles for 5 months in. I did not get 100 this month but from my overage. I did get 93.74 miles for this month. Atleast I am getting some miles in. New month tomorrow to start over if you had a bad month, if not to continue your success. Good night. Janice

this is the first day of a new month I have a good start ``1 lb lost this morning of my goal for this month 4 pounds to go. down to 186 pound Away I go.

Janice.. Doing good you did get some good exercise in . very good.

Shirley....I don't feel like i am on a battle with my weight lost. This Starch solution is working for me and I don't feel like i am deprived off the food I like so well. I do miss my cheese but with all the sodium and fat in cheese I can live without cheese if i can just get this weight off. That is my priority now.

    Connie....missed you yesterday.

I am eating left overs today of 15 beans soup well it did not turn out like soup but a good texture of beans except some of the beans was not as done as I like it but eatable never the less. I been cooking my beans for 40 minutes in the instant pot Like do the others I guess on the 15 bean mix I need to go up on another 5 minutes,Of pressure.

    Good morning, losers! Happy February!

We are off to a great start this year!

Marie..congrats and hugs for meeting your goals! You are an inspiration to us all!

Nancy..waiting to hear what you have done, too! It has been warm here as well.

Janice..glad you had a visit with your daughter. I did do a little better this month on my steps. Still have not got to 100 yet.

Shirley..have a great day with your family and the baby!

Steph..have a great week! Remember the scale is a liar!

    Ruthie..hope you found a house!

I am going to the gym for Aquazumba then to the store. It's time to start packing up here and I feel overwhelmed but I need remember that I don't have to rush to get out of this house and that God is in control of this. The movers will take the big stuff and the boxes I have packed. The rest can be taken over in our truck. Really wanted to eat off plan yesterday, but managed to drink lots of tea and water and kept myself distracted. I guess is will always want to self-medicate with food when stressed!

Make it a great day, losers! We can do this!

    If not now, when?

Hi Ladies! Been keeping up with all of you.
Congrats Marie! I'm going to check out that plan for myself. It sounds good.

Connie, no house yet. There are so few on the market but our realtor feels confident the amount of available homes will begin increasing this week. Fingers crossed. I know you are stressed but just be glad you are in the homestretch and have a brand new house waiting for you. I'd switch with you in 2 seconds :#

We enjoyed a warmish, dry weekend and took advantage of it both days. Today is overcast and misty. Think it's supposed to stay this way for a few days. Still warmish though.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

    Good afternoon everyone,
Marie-Those pounds are just falling off. Congrats on your jeans and blouse now fitting. I found when I cook multiple types of beans, they all get done at different times, because of the variety of sizes.

Connie-Sorry you are feeling overwhelmed right now, thats good you have movers moving the big items. Did you check out how much more it would be to move the boxes too, it may be worth it, to let them do it, especially if it makes life easier for you and your husband. That is a plus not having to hurry out of your house, my thing is I always want to get it done quick and dragging it out. But I can be impatient at times.

Ruthie-I hope you find a house soon, with weather trying to get warmer more houses will be going up for sale. I think we all got nice weather this past weekend, its alittle cooler today.

Shirley-I know you will enjoy seeing Isaac today. You have been busy cooking lately, I make a similar cauliflower potato soup, that also has carrots and brocoli, its called California Medley Soup, plus it has cheese.
Hi Nancy, Steph and everyone else, I hope you are doing okay. Gotta go for now. Janice
