6 more miles on the hamster wheel. That's 40 out of 150.
Adding 6 more miles for 46 out of 150. It was nice to start commuting again. I didn't expect that two weeks into February.
Adding 16 more miles. It's good to be outside on the bike again but I forgot how hard it is to lug my fat carcass up the hills. That makes 62 out of 150.

My logging is getting behind. My motivation has just been sapped. My son is experiencing health problems again, I have one wound from my cycling accident that just refuses to heal and that is so depressing. I keep going back to my health care provider, and get a nurse. I get the same song and dance that it will heal, but over 7 months I still have to do weekly SafeTac and Tegaderm patch changes. Well SafeTac costs about 120.00 for 10, Tegaderm are only 25.00 for 4 of them. Medicare does not pay for either one of those. Oh well, it is what it is. Just a constant reminder as the wound is right where I can see it everyday. Oops I am ranting, sorry just frustrated. This pic is from yesterdays Tegaderm patch change

Well, it would be one way to make goal, right? I went to see a special showing of The Maltese Falcon in the movie theater with a coworker. She was concerned that if there was a tornado before she came to my house, she'd be blowing in the storm naked, since she had a massage appt We made it through the movie (very cool to see it on the big screen), stopped to eat and were almost done when the phones gave the warning alerts. I'm home now, still under a warning alert for another hour or so. Glad I'm on vacation - storms strike fear into the hearts of Labor and Delivery nurses - everyone's water breaks.0 -

Chris, Have you tried Neosporin or Deramgel on that with a regular bandage?0

We nearly hit 60 today with rain and thunderstorms and snow is coming tonight through Friday. Freaky weather but this winter has been great and I will take it. Keep it coming with the mild stuff.
No running today but I walked a lot. Wish I could say, I walked my butt off but it is still there.
Feb. 24: 7 miles today of walking.
TTD: 238.28miles
Keep moving everyone. I just remind myself that if I stop I will start to rust.0 -
7 mile ride into town today takes me to 68/75. Getting closer, but so is month end.
I went to a really interesting talk today about water quality in Florida. El Nino has given us way too much rain and it's causing huge problems in the eco system. Ok, the problems are really on account of all the human interference in the last 100 years to "manage" water, but El Nino has made it clear how badly humans have messed things up. I am glad at least some of you got a nice winter <tries to be gracious>.0 -
Seeing the home stretch ahead...its been a struggle this week to get time in the gym..activities every early evening and starting to focus on strength training as well...
ttd 93.330 -
eeked out a paltry 1.5 miles yesterday around the 12 or 13 hours at work. The price required for me to get today and tomorrow off.
February total 43.25 miles.
So I should have time to get nice long walks in to get closer to goal, right? I was going to break out the bike to help, but of course it
snowed last night. My poor bike is not safe on slick paths, even more so for me. So if I need to average a little more than 6 miles a day
to make goal, I will really need to get it in gear the next two days. (6 miles on a work day is usually not an option).
Thanks everyone for the support. I know that not giving up is a win too.

CONGRATS on making goal to @LOVEMYALEX and @LAMLAM2013!!! You both killed it!! :drinker:
@ANACONDA469 - I was thinking the same thing as Dean, but seeing as I'm not an actual medical professional... I was thinking that it should get some more air. Maybe a regular non-stick gauze pad and some bacitracin or neosporin. Even if it scabs over, it might leave a little mark...but I don't think that's too much of a concern? Hang in there. it'll heal eventually.
@TAXMOM9093 - Hang in there! You're still doing it!!! :flowerforyou:
One more lunch walk and I will hit my goal! That is if I don't hit it before then with a bike ride tonight.

Tuesday and Thursday - long walks to the swimming pool with my gorgeous grandson - he does like yo splash-splash! Really pleas d to have passed goal - I think the running has helped a little!! I very nearly got the bike out on Wednesday, but there was a bitterly cold headwind. That sunshine is deceiving.0 -
headed back to the Dr next Wednesday. That wound gets plenty of air, and we are using Silvasorb Gel, plus these breathable burn patches. They don't want the wound covered and the wound care nurse said Neosporin is a no no as there is no infection there. Oh well here comes another couple hundred bucks. Just got them paid off too. @darkrider42, I didn't see Dean's message.
