I had excessive carbs today for lunch. We had to visit our friends for their house warming ceremony where I had no option of low carb friendly food. They are not aware of my low carb OMAD lifestyle. So, I just ate whatever I was given but of course in moderation. Still, the net carbs come about 111 gms in MFP which is like 6 times my regular low carb OMAD meal!! Terrible! So, I am planning to do a 48 hour fast starting now till Tuesday. If I can, I may plan on extending it to 72 hour. Writing this post gives me a kind of commitment to the fast.

You may be surprised. I often had a big weight drop after a carb up day like that when I was low carbing.

So I did gain almost a pound from yesterday's carb loaded meal. I am hoping my fast for 48 hours will bring me back to where I was before the meal.

Don't worry about that lb. It's likely just a bit of water. Enjoy the fast! I love the mental clarity that usually comes with a fast. :)

    Just a mid week update:
I got my blood reports yesterday and I am glad to report that my total cholesterol has come down from 250 to 201. My LDL is still a little bit higher than the upper limit but I am sure it's going to go down further. Also, my 3 month average blood glucose is 105 which is perfect according to the guidelines. Thanks to OMAD for the weight loss. I look forward to even better results in another 3 months.

As a side note, i know I won't be able to report big losses this week. It seems my body is getting used to the new weight.

Thank you all so much, your support is the biggest motivation for me. I am just 0.8 kg/1.8 lbs away from bmi of 30 which will finally get me out of the obese category. I will still be overweight though.

Oh, how exciting about leaving the obese category! I'm about 7 pounds away from being out of it myself!

I gained 1 kg in 2 days of strength exercises. My muscles are really sore from the 2 consecutive days of workout. I am definitely not doing anything different on my food input. Guess its the water retention due to muscle soreness. Thinking of taking a day off from the workout.

Yeah it did! Although i did take a walk with my little one. The weight has started to come off. The pain is better but still very much there. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

Hooray, that is great! Yeah, whenever I first get back into strength training, it usually takes my muscles several days to recover. lol I usually wait two days and if I'm sore I go at it. However, if it's pain like I've pulled a muscle or something? Nope, I wait until full recovery. That's different from sore and not something to push through.

    Week 12 results:

I finally started an exercise regime this week and worked out on all days except one. I gained quite a lot of water weight this week due to muscle soreness from my exercise routine. I still have a lot of muscle pain but its improving. Minimal loss this week but glad to at least maintain the weight.

My weight has been fluctuating between 84 and 85 kg since 2 weeks. I felt i needed to shake a few things up.. Included more carbs this weekend, bringing my daily net carb intake to somewhere between 70 to 100 gms. Guess I could call it a carb refeed weekend  Have been exercising regularly since last week. I still don't see any movement on the scale but I'm hoping i will by the end of this week. Going back to low carb from tomorrow. Hope things will start to move.

I didn't realize you were stalled, I keep seeing "has lost" on my homepage in your feeds so I thought you were losing. lol Best to you on however you feel you need to shake things up and how to you choose to carry on afterwards.

Sandy, you are definitely not a weirdo. You are a great inspiration to me and others here who are following your progress and are being inspired by your awesome progress. It seems my weight is affected by carbs as well as those you mentioned. I am trying to do OMAD without any restrictions. To me I feel I am losing slowly, but I am losing so that is all that matters. After a little over 7 weeks in, I still feel the need to modify so that I can find what works. Everyone here seems to have their programs worked out and are steadily making progress and I feel that I am in my own little world trying to figure it all out.

Keep doing what you are doing, we are here for you.

(((Tracey))), thank you. I actually went and edited that part out, after I posted because I didn't want anyone to take it wrong or think I was being ugly and critical. Lol

I honestly do love this group and people in it and I cheer for everybody regardless of how they're tailoring to their needs... even if I feel like a weirdo. Hahaha We are all in our own world, I see no two OMADers doing anything the same exact way. Maybe that's what makes us special :)
