That could really be water weight. Don't be sad about it. Keep yourself in check while on vacation. If OMAD is not possible, try to keep the daily total calorie intake under your bmr.

I increased my carbs a little, total around 60 gms, and this morning my weight has come down. Lost 1.7 lbs overnight. I am so so relieved  I guess I need some carbs like Joe said. Some people can't lose without carbs. Although not sure why..

That's awesome! Congratulations! Though all human, sometimes our bodies have different needs that's why. :-) I like to try and keep balance, whether during my meal or throughout the week. I switch things up a lot. I do not follow all or nothing plans anymore, I want to eat how I'm going to eat for the rest of my life, now. When losing weight, regardless of strict plans or not, it's about calorie deficit. I figure getting to goal by eating what I always will is the best way to go for me. :-)

@wsandy8512 I couldn't agree more. After all, its important that we should be able to maintain after all the losses. Btw, I have noticed that I am constantly under 1000 calories every day. I cannot eat more than 700 to 800 calories in one meal. Do you think that would matter?

I asked Joe the same question, I started only being able to eat like 400-500/meal. I'm only a couple of weeks in, but now I am getting in about 1200/meal, but my food journal shows under when I add in exercise.

If you are only eating that a day, I do think it will matter. You may try expanding your eating window a bit. I think, don't hold me to this, Blambo has a 2-4 hour eating window and gets their calorie needs met by having the meal and then eating healthy snacks over the rest of the span. Eating too few calories will cause stress on your body. Don't be afraid to open your window and slowly build up your calories, that's what I would do in your situation. :-)

Please know that most of the time, my thought process regarding this are my own coupled with watching Joe's channel as well as what I've picked up from veteran OMAD'ers here. I watch two of Joe's videos a day, very informative. I've had many "aha" moments thanks to them. :-)

It's still great that you lost .4g, but I know how you feel, I had a teaser weigh-in last week. It's like your body's way of saying, "Well, alright, you've done well. I suppose I'll give you something past the decimal point."

I am stuck between 91 and 92 kg. I have to lose at least 5 kg this month. Writing this goal down gives me a sense of accountability. I will do my best! Some things which I plan to use:
    1. Low carbs, less than 80 gms. May go below 50 if possible.
    2. Water fast for 3 to 5 days
    3. No added sugar which I had been taking in tea. Will take only stevia if needed.

    You can do it :-)

Axing sugar from your tea will help you more than you know, I axed my flavored coffee creamers and have been drinking it without now for just over two weeks. Just simply not using my creamers anymore has greatly reduced my cravings. I just can't even tell you how awesome that is :-)

Thanks Sandy.. I definitely look forward to shedding this stubborn weight. I had been consuming 2 cups of tea with milk and sugar every weekend and one cup every week day when I am back from work. Thats probably the major reason for not losing effectively. I might add in the stevia drops.. I hope that doesn't count.

Yeah, I was doing the same with flavored creamers. Probably 420 calories and nearly 100g sugar per day. Eep!

I don't think stevia counts, hope you can find a brand without a nasty after taste.

@mikseyniha you're doing great and if you continue to do low carb then yes you need to cut out the sugar but you can use Stevia :)

    Week 5 results:
Gained at the beginning of this week. But managed to get down with a low carb diet, below 50 gms. I think the last time it didn't work for me was because of excess protien. This time I followed what @hjstewart40 is doing, 65:25:10 and sure enough, seeing results. I hope to carry on like this for a while.

    Week........... Weight.................... .. Loss........

    5....................90.6 kg/199.3 lbs...... 0.6 kg/ 1.32 lbs
Total weight loss in 5 OMAD weeks: 5.8 kg/12. 76 lbs
Total weight loss since beginning: 14. 4 kg/31.68 lbs

I had quite a lot of carbs today.. Around 100 gms. Now I am feeling so guilty for eating those sandwiches stuffed with spicy potato mash :(

I don't seem to have a problem with carbs, as long as they are whole foods and not junk. My carb intake averages 120 and below, I have them every day, mostly from fruits, chia seeds, and vegetables, potatoes, low carb tortillas, and for sandwiches (which I don't have often) I choose 100% whole grains. I stay away from white breads and anything with added sugars. Although, I did have potato buns the other day. :-)
