Ughhhh... Bad day yesterday. Was able to stay at work but I had serious stomach issues. Feeling some better this morning, I think. At least right now. We had freezing rain last night not sure if i am going to work. I will check the roads first, then decide. I let the emotions about this failed food plan get the best of me. But woke up this morning with a new sense of drive. Will i always struggle with food? I hope not. I long for the days that I didn't think about food and just lived my life.
@Mrsbell8well that bowl of soup looks delicious. mmmm....
@NuggetBrain wowowowow! go you! nice job on the weight loss this week. keep up the hard work. it is paying off.
@Shirin_K it is so hard trying to balance life and what you need. keep it up, don't you give up on you. you are the only you you will ever have.
@eyesopennow I know you make fun but i also know that you are having a very difficult time. There is really no way to train a cat. it will be obnoxious no matter what. do you have a room you can shut it in with it's box? I use to shut my cat in the front bathroom every night with it's litter box. Maybe it is time to rehome the cat? Hang in there, I wish there was something i could say or do but you and i both know there isn't. I will pray for you my friend.
@lenka1 I cant wait for spring.
@twyla77 yayay, look at you go. good job another day of good days added to your string.
@czvanut yayayy you made it to the 150's. good job. and you are right the closer you get to goal the harder it becomes.
@Mrsbell8well yayayay thats another loss for you this week. you are doing awesome.5 -
I’m feeling giddy. I have an unexpected day off today. I was going to continue cleaning but wifey suggested a free bonus day to do what I wanted. I really want to play with my new planner and finish my pink wool hat. So many possibilities.
I get to color another star today. 41.4 pounds down...18.6 to go.
And 1.6 pounds away from the 150’s. That’s my target for next week.9 -
Here is something I wrote to a friend this morning. Thought I would share it...
I would like to think that I can eat whatever I want when ever I want but that's not true. My mind wants food even when my body doesn't. I Think that's been a big part of my success. I listen to my body more than my mind.6 -

eyesopennow wrote: »So apropos of nothing.... as part of the "adopt A Mother In Law" situation, we ended up with her Cat. MIL (who has dementia) was in the habit of feeding Cat every time she remembered it. Since she didn't remember remembering it previously, it was not unusual for her to feed the cat 10 to 15 times per day. Wet canned food. If you've ever had a cat -- and a cat pan -- I'll let that sink in for a minute.
So anyway, of course now that we're all one big happy *kitten* family, feeding Cat a mere twice a day has fallen to Wyfe and me. Okay, to ME, since I am the one who gets up first in the morning. So darling Cat has decided to assert himself to reestablish his on-demand feeding schedule. So for the last three days, he has decided to begin clearing dressers of all personal items beginning at 4 AM in an effort to wake us up. (Can't simply shut him out, or he won't be able to access the cat pan.) Pictures, makeup, wallet, the random receipt or wedding ring or spare change, all of it ends up banging into the floor. I wake up every 5 minutes to the thump / bang / rattle. Wyfe sleeps right through it, so she is not sympathetic.
So my question is, how long can I sleep in my car before I freeze to death?
LOL! As a cat owner, our little lady sleeps in the laundry room with her bed, food, water and pan. She's locked in every night and comes out in the morning. No sleep issues for us. She actually likes it too...when I say "are you ready for bed" she starts heading in!5 -
Good morning everyone!
@cyndiesstuff - hope you are feeling better today!! So much stuff going around it's amazing we're not more sick!!
I am on the road to recovery. Tonight I really want to do yoga rather than just some forward folds and downward dogs - it really helps with my bad to be consistent with yoga.
Food wise, yesterday was pretty good but when it came to supper I made our chicken and lemongrass basil curry and I was going to have cauliflower rice with it but hubs made himself jasmine rice and I couldn't resist (I'm sick right, so I can have some hehe). Calories were good, carbs were high. But that's ok today is a new day!
Hope you all have a great day!!4 -
I know I've been silent but I've been reading. Can you believe I used to want to be a writer? I don't know what happened to me. The Sadness used to make me want to write in my younger years but now it makes me quiet...
MONDAY
I did the thing. I went to the gym. First time since October? Possibly September? I'm still putting in my 55ish hours a week between the two jobs, commute, and prepping for classes at the studio but I decided I can't just roll over and die with it.
We FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY hired someone that isn't a complete moron to replace my longtime coworker that left in mid-October. She started the 11th and we're all very pleased with her. I *THINK* she's a keeper and I'm *HOPING* to get back to 32 hours at my full time job in February... I might just whine and stomp my feet until I get the ok. I'm not above it!
I didn't log anything Monday or Tuesday but I think I was probably under. I had my normal lunch (350-500 calories) but I made some mush over the weekend (it was supposed to be lentil and sweet potato soup but I didn't read the directions thoroughly before throwing everything in the crock pot.... oops!) it's still good... but more like the texture of mashed sweet potatoes. Anyway, I've been eating that and veggies for dinner so I think I'm fine. I've been creeping in on 10,000 steps the past two days... hoping to keep it up today.
My weight hasn't really been budging. Hoping because TOM this weekend. If not then we're going to have an even bigger problem on our hands...
Saturday I'm going to an all-day yoga retreat. I'm hoping it will help me reset my intentions... not just for 2019 but going forward. Sunday I'm auditioning for the next showcase (dance project)... I'm on the fence about it because I'm known to put too much on my plate (HAH!) but I'm hoping the timing works to cut back hours at work in my favor again.

Sorry everyone, I am a crappy leader the past two days. I don't have time to comment but I am hoping I can in the evening. Saving my workouts and computer time for the evenings since my Mom goes to bed early. Last night I was just too tired. In a nutshell, I did great, got the healthiest thing I could at the airport, ate 1/2, walked instead of sitting to wait for my plane, drank all my water, logged all my food, got over my steps...then waited too long for dinner was starved and ate crap. Ugh! Oh well, I went shopping, healthy stuff in condo, new attitude, even a healthy treat if I feel the need to indulge, if not, it will go to my Mom. Well, slept too late today and it was high tide so no walk on the beach for me. View of ocean and a parking lot lol! I still like looking out at the ocean and hearing it from my room. Have a great day everyone and pray I get a lot accomplished today. I feel like I am on a race against the clock, I have no time for road blocks with all I have to do!9

daily checkin in Tuesday
Food under! I gave myself a snack to try to bring my nutrition in line
water on target
exercise 20mins spining & weights
Yesterday I manged to eat beans and bread at pretty much every meal. I had a second breakfast of beans on toast, burrito with beans and then spicy bean burger. On the upside my calories were under and I wasn't so hungry although I have noticed that iron and calicum is really low.4 -
@Mrsbell8well Mrs. B is giddy like a school girl! that sure is a wonderful feeling. lucky. and just so you know, you friend is very luck to have you in her corner.
@carlsoda I love jasmine rice! and your right your sick so a little rice was in order!!
@DananaNanas you are so cute! your life is so crazy buzy. I am exhausted just hearing about it. ohhhh an all day yoga retreat. sounds wonderful.
@sleepymom5 you are not a crappy leader, first of all. you have to take care of your family first. we get that. I have been thinking about you and how stressfull your week is going to be. I think some meditation is in order. good job at stocking the condo with good food. you have set yourself up for success. now you just need to execute your plan!!

Hello and Happy Hump Day!
My on-track streak continued yesterday! I am feeling great! The scale has dropped 4 pounds since Saturday, which I am very happy about, and I still have 3 days to drop more before my weigh-in on Saturday! I went to the gym last night and ate a light dinner and had a cup of tea to keep my hunger at bay. I am prepared for another successful day. I am going to try to get a workout in when I get home. My sister is coming for dinner, which my mom is cooking. She did not see me for my birthday on Friday, so she is coming for dinner. Once we start talking, time goes by and my workout does not happen. I am going to try to go home and get it done right away and then enjoy spending time before she heads home.
@Mrsbell8well I am so excited for you! I am also trying to get back in the 150's and then my final goal would be to hit around 145-148, depends on how I feel when I get there. Good luck!
@sleepymom5 sounds like you have a lot going on with your mom, but you are planning well! I hope you get everything done with as little stress as possible!
@cyndiesstuff glad you are starting to feel better! Hang in there! xoxo
@eyesopennow good luck with that cat! I am not a cat person, so God bless you, that cat would not be in my house!
@DananaNanas I hope your new co-worker works out! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate!
Have a wonderful day!3 -

According the Beck Diet Solution, Questioning whether it’s worth it is just a product of an off-track mentality. When your on track and feeling in control, you know 100% that it’s worth it. Don’t think about whether it’s worth it. Just know that it is and instead focus on doing what you need to do TODAY.6 -

@mrsbell8well - nothing better than an unexpected day off! those are my favourite days to catch up on laundry and housework for some reason, because it's not like i'm wasting a weekend day doing it lol. And yes, that is my hand!
@cyndiesstuff - hope you're feeling better soon!2 -

I started to reread the beck diet solution yesterday. It really helps me with the mental aspect of dieting. It helps me get my head in the game if you will. It cognitive behavioral therapy applied to weight loss. So I have immersed myself in it. last night, I had no snack after dinner! I am proud of that.
@kirsten11872 yayayayay! I am so glad you have refound your grove! It is really difficult when you get off track to get back on. give yourself some huge credit for doing it.
@Mrsbell8well those smoothie bowls look just yummy!!
@Cafelelia you are doing awesome with your progress. Bi weekly physio? what will you do instead?
@twyla77 don't you just love it when you are done working out and feel great! good job keeping up with your goals.
