What Intermittent fasting plan are you following? Are you a person doing OMAD/TMAD?
Just started with IF last week and hoping to do it until the end of this month or until I get to my goal weight, whichever comes first. I'm currently doing a 40 hour fast with 19 more hours to go!
Hi! I have fallen hard off of the IF wagon.... but I am determined to get back on it this week doing a 5:2 (sometimes a 3:4 week).... I have done OMAD... also @AB0215 does IF with her Keto program as well as OMAD. I usually eat 2-3 times during my fasting window on my fasting days to the tune of about 500-600-ish calories.
Fasting 40 hours is hard!! Congrats on accomplishing that length of a fast---how do you feel after/during? I know that I did feel best on OMAD, but it is hard to get the ball rolling on that for me---as well as the 5:2--- my strength training/cardio schedule makes me ravenous...it's been a struggle.0 -

✔Calories: still working on getting enough, but will be way under
✔Exercise: yes walked 2 miles and then jogged 2 miles. 13k steps in today
Im sick with bronchitis, which running actually helped break up some of the crud in my lung. I have no appetite 😫😫3 -
Daily Post Sunday June 2
⚡Track: no need today
⚡Calories: under (fasting until tomorrow at noon unless I change my mind and go longer or shorter)
⚡ Exercise: jogged 7.4km this evening.
⚡Water: 100oz so far plus 2 cups green tea
🗣Comments/ goals: I joined an Intermittent fasting group on Facebook and ppl there speak about the energy they have etc. I'm surprised that I had a decent jog despite the fast. I wonder If I will do this again and how often I will incorporate this into my life. I think it is much easier to do on the weekend.1 -
@aadubb I fast every single day 18-24 hours and sometimes longer, as long as 48 hours, and I lift weights fasted with no issues, actually I prefer to do it that way, my mental clarity is better! I'd be interested in seeing how you like it overall..
@cydneebauman Great day despite being sick, hang in there, feel better soon!! And congrats on crossing over 50 lbs, HUGE milestone!!
@vicky2767 Nice day and awesome walk!
@CindyJNC1963 Great day!!
@Gadgetgirl259 Awesome day! Great job running 2 miles without stopping!!
@lsjhudson great job resisting the fresh bread!
I used to make breads and bagels and all of that stuff, but I gave up bread (carbs) 2 years ago and haven't looked back, now I bake Keto and bread has been a bit of a struggle, some people manage to get it to work, closest I've come is some pretty awesome dinner rolls, but I do make a mean cake/cupcakes!
@Fitness327wk Nice day!!
@o0kody0o Great day!!
@BEASTFIELD314 Great start to June! Nice loss!!

Uh oh ☹️ I had a feeling I would have gained this week due to eating some things I don’t usually eat and TOM. That’s my first gain since I started! Let’s hope next week is better 🙂

Looking forward to the week and what the scale brings. Hoping to end the week with a 2 to 3 pound loss. Need to stop the over-snacking, it's slowing me down. I need to stop the habitual replacement of healthier snacks like my fruits, with the starchy carbs on my allowed list. it's not good practice for lifestyle changes going forward.4 -

Hi y'all! I feel like I'm late to the game this month!
I'm OkieGina (or just Gina!), 41 years old, 2 little kids (they will turn 4 and 6 this month) and it's my 2nd month doing this challenge. I really lacked consistency with my eating last month, so I'm determined to make this month better. After a rough week last week (I was without power for a few days due to storms in Oklahoma and away from the computer and busy with kid activities the rest of the week), I'm ready to get back on track this week.
My goals for June are to get more consistent with my tracking (including weekends), continue to work out 3-5 times per week and actually lose some weight! I seem to be "stuck" around 210 lbs. If I could get down below 205 this month - I would be thrilled! My "stretch" goal would be to get below 200. I think that's do-able this month, if I really buckle down and hold myself accountable. But as long as I'm being consistent and moving in the right direction, I'll be happy. I'm in this for the long haul - I want to lose weight the right way (for me) this time, and if that means it takes longer, so be it. Hopefully that will just mean that I've make sustainable changes and won't have to lose the weight again in a few years!1 -

Daily Post Sunday
Starting weight for June is 461.2lbs
Lost only 7lbs last month but still proud of my progress hoping to lose 10lbs this month.
Track yes
Calories yes under
Exercise no way too sore for bowling could barely walk was in bed all day
Water yes 1980z
Daily Post Monday
Track yes
Calories yes under meals already planned
Exercise may try the Total Fit Gym for 15-20mins (need to be careful because of my back still hurting so I have to feel it out)
Water 190oz
Goals/comments I only ate 2 meals today cause I was in too much pain from bowling on Saturday but they were nutritionist meals so not really too concern. I know I overdid it in bowling so I have go slower when I go next time cause it's been 2 days still moving real slow, made it out of the ed today but laying on the couch with my back massager.
STILL PRESSING MY WAY DESPITE THE PAIN AND STAY POSITIVE NO MATTER WHAT IS THE KEY!
as six months ago I would not be doing so much so I am happy of my progress and yes proud of sistergirl (me😍👌🏾) right now, as she's not let anything get her down.
P.S. Sorry I haven't responded in the last couple days but this pain had me laid out I had to use 2 canes just to get up

I am happy to be a part of this group and am looking forward to the accountability.
I live in Nashville, married to an old hippie, 3 grown children, and 3 lovely grandkids.
I have been losing and gaining weight for the past 25 years, but was on a slow and steady loss until last year.
I gained over 50 lbs last year and am now hovering at 255. My husband had a rough year dealing with kidney and spleen cancer, sepsis, and 3 emergency surgeries plus one planned surgery in less than 9 months. I ate a lot ( A LOT) of junk and fast food and got almost no exercise- I worked and went to the hospital, picking up drive thru food. We won't talk about the stress eating. Things are calmer now, so need to refocus on myself.
I am having a hard time getting motivated and staying on track but am trying. I am attempting to do a combination of Mayo Clinic and DASH diet to address some health issues, and looking for an exercise routine I can stick to.
My goal for June is to commit to eating healthier by meal planning and prep, and walking a minimum of 15,000 steps each day. Weight loss- shooting for 12 lbs.
So sorry to here about your husband, praying he has a speedily recovery and gets better as this can be a trying time for you and your family. I can totally understand the stress eating being an emotional eater myself. It's not easy to overcome but be encouraged and take one day at a time.
You're on the correct track going Team Slimsons as we inspire and motivate one another and your goals to plan and prepare your food is an excellent way to start taking back control. Wishing you the best on your journey and looking forward to having you as apart of our team👌🏾😍0 -

June: Week #1
Original starting weight: 273

It was a busy week last week work wise. I'm glad I was able to squeeze off another pound. I hope I never go above 200 again.
About 12 years ago (2017) I did a stupid thing and had gastric lap band surgery. I liked the idea of it because it was totally reversible, unlike the gastric bypass (the only other option at the time). What they didn't know at the time was that the thing doesn't work...it worked for about a month for me. Most clinics won't even perform that surgery now. The BIG problem is that the thing can slip or erode in your body causing major infections...resulting in the need for emergency surgery. I have a fear that this thing is starting to slip. I can barely eat heavy protein like chicken or steak now without throwing up. I barely ate about 3 oz of steak last night before I had to throw up. I couldn't even eat the vegetables I had prepared (very yummy sautéed squash, zucchini and onions). I also have really bad heartburn, which is another symptom. It's not really bad yet, but I so hate that I did this to myself so many years ago. I also have this fear that maybe that thing is maybe helping me in some way to lose weight....although my doctor assured me that it is not......that what I am doing now is all me. Just my normal fears and worries I guess.
Goals this month:
1. Lose 7 lbs
2. Continue to average walking 10,000 steps a day1 -
Hello Team!
My name is Andrea. I started with the May group and had a great start but then my period came and I allowed myself to get discouraged with no scale movement and temptations and lost 2 weeks of results. The month wasn't a total loss as I lost 13.3lbs.
I workout 5 to 6 days per week and teach a fitness class so my main issue is eating.
Since April 15, 2019 I've been doing low carb. I started at 183.2 and have lost 25lbs in total, as of today. I have 15.2lbs to reach my goal and it seems so close but yet so far.
I want this to be the last time that the scale goes way up. It's tiresome! I'd rather use the energy to try to maintain than have to lose.
Goals For June:
-Drink 120oz of water per day
-lose 10 to 15lbs
-make a plan for what I'm going to do to maintain. Can I still eat my two favorite "foods" in moderation...chips and pizza. I think I have to banish chips from my life🙈 a sad reality😥
April (15th) SW 183.2 EW 167.9 ⬇️ 15.9
May (2nd) SW 167.1 EW 158.2 ⬇️ 9.7
Jun (1st) SW 157.1
Welcome back Andrea you've done excellent so far and looking forward to have you as part of Team Slimsons again😍😍0 -
Hey team 👋🏻
Just wondering if anyone has any tips on breaking through a plateau? For the past 10 days or so, my weight has been bouncing between 149.4 and 149.5...I feel like I’m in that film Groundhog Day 😆 If anyone has any tips or advice on how to get things moving again it would be much appreciated!
Thanks 🥰
Avril, sometimes you have to shake things up to break your plateau. That means eating more or less and changing up your exercise routine may do the trick. Hope this helps.1 -

Goals/Comments: Hi team members. I’m Pam, in my late 50’s and in Jan 2013 I started my journey with great support from mfp, losing 18 kilograms but, of course, it’s all back. This time I have one ripped knee and the other sore from carrying the weight, and now I have high cholesterol too!
I’m very pleased to be accepted into the Slimsons team, have already been inspired by your posts and would love some new friends to make me accountable and motivate. Goals are to improve my diet to reduce the cholesterol and lose the weight, drink more water and stop using excuses to not exercise.
Hi Pam, welcome to TEAM SLIMSONS! You'll definitely be motivated and inspired in this group. Take one day and sometimes one meal at time and you shall succeed in meeting your goals for your journey.0 -
