Track: Yes
Calories: Under
Exercise: 1 hour walking
Yesterday was the first day my wife and I were supposed to get up early and walk, but we both slept in. However, after work, we did have some free time (for once) and we got a nice hour walk in, and ended up hitting my 10,000 step goal.
I am off today because I have a few doctor appts. I have been having terrible terrible headaches off and on the last few months so I am getting and MRI of my brain, just to make sure. Then I have a few xrays and some labs for a few other issues. But, my wife and I DID get a 45 minute walk in this morning. So, I suppose it is starting off well.
Giving the Intermittent Fasting one last shot. I think it helped before, but this go around it has been super hard to stick with for some reason.
Happy Tuesday everyone!!7 -

HI Team Slimsons!! I'm Beth,43, and I've been with the group since January and its been a wonderful environment to stay motivated and positive!!
I'm nearly half way through my journey, 2 more lbs. So far I've elimintated my foot pain completely, lost nearly 30 inches and I started taking taekwondo classes about 6 weeks ago. Before January of this year I never would have believed any of those things would happen!
SW: 240.8
CW: 197.4
My goals for June:
> Lose 8 lbs (191 lbs)
> Earn my orange belt in taekwondo
> Stay on target and on task to reach 180 lbs by Aug 9th
Looking forward to another great month with this team!!

Daily post for Monday 6/3
Slow and steady with fluctuations is fine cuz life happens.
And when life gives me cake.... I eat it. I just make sure it's a small portion, cuz life will also give me chips and cookies when it gives me cake....
But then the day (or weekend...lol) is done, and I make adjustments the rest of the week. Learning how to manage (and enjoy) these festive food events is part of how I will learn to maintain my weight and not gain 30 lbs in 4-6 months.....(again)....
This right here...THIS is what I'm aiming for!! And this month will be a definite test for this! Both my kids' birthdays are this month...which means cupcakes (and possibly ice cream, pizza, etc...)2 -

Exercise: yes, a 30 minute "deck of cards" training session
Water: 100+ oz
Wahoo! It feels good to be getting back on track again!
And even though this is Monday's post, I do have to mention that I just turned down FREE pizza for lunch today (Tuesday). It just wasn't worth it. I'd rather have pizza with my family sometime than free pizza at work!2 -

And if anyone is interested, here's a snipet of today's workout! This is what my Clean+Hang Clean+Split Jerk set looks like.

Goals/Day/Comments: A good day today! The scales went up for the first time this morning but I didn't take it hard as I thought I might...so I feel great about that! I didn't let it define my day today and was well within my calories and goals for the day. Feeling strong and hopeful. 😊4 -

💭Comments: I’ve told myself I’ll not be eating chocolate again because once I start, I can’t stop, and that’s been my downfall the past week. I’m blaming it on TOM 🤨 Also over the past week my family have been asking me to “try” some of their food and I’ve caved a few times. All these bits and pieces of food here and there aren’t doing me any good so from now I’m not doing it! On a positive note, my weight was 149.1 this morning which is my lowest yet 😊3 -

Argh those bits and pieces are the worst! And my family is always trying to sabotage my weight loss, my mum especially...I've always caved and am making a concerted effort to ignore them 😂 hang in there! And I'm glad to see that you weren't in a plateau as much after all and you've been able to see the scales shift today 👍well done!

@AB0215 I have meaning to tell you that I have lost all of the weight for the Healthy Wager challenge. I am just waiting until I can do my official weigh in. It ends on July 1st so I don't think I can weigh in until a week before...I'm not sure. I think you get money too because you referred me. I will win $460.....yippee. That will be cool.

Yup, it all adds up! When I’m at my parents I get my dad at one side of me telling me to “try some of this” and my mum on the other side saying “No! You're not supposed to be eating that” then I end up battling with myself thinking the food looks so good...but my mums right 🤔 Thank you ☺️ I’m glad you were able to stay positive after seeing the numbers go in the wrong direction today, that’s the best way to be, so well done you 🙌🏻

I have gained weight since February... about 10lbs.... 🤷🏻♀️
NSV: Today, I lifted heavier, I made it through the entire squat/lunge track with my heavy weight plate, non-stop, and I was able to do the entire core track --all plank variations on my toes, and I was able to do a faster and heavier resistance HIIT session on the elliptical.2 -

Awesome NSV 🔥 Well done Nancy, you should be feeling super proud of yourself 🙌🏻🤗🙌🏻

^^ Thanks Avril🤗
I also want to add....after just reading a post from an MFP friend (who has found incredible weight loss success) --- it is vital that you DO NOT compare yourself to others here! I can't stress it enough...and while it's so awesome to have other people's opinions or advice-- you really have to find what works for you and don't sway from it.3 -

@SLIMn2016 Super on point, as usual! First off, while you've gained 10 lbs, you have to look at this another way, you're definitely stronger, meaning you have more muscle mass, which may be part of that, and that is definitely NOT a bad thing. Second, you are absolutely correct about not comparing yourself to others, this is YOUR journey, everyone is different and will have different results and things that work for them and don't work for them, you can share what works for you, it may help them, it may not, that's one thing I say more than anything else, finding what works for you. All of the people that can do moderation, I am super jealous, for me it's a slippery slope....and that's why Keto works for me, it's all or nothing for me and that cuts sugar, which is a slippery slope for me, so that is what I tell everyone, it's absolutely true!!
@2muchchocncrisps Sometimes it's amazing how our bodies revolt when we over do it! At leas today worked out better!!
@CindyJNC1963 I won mine too, was debating on whether or not I was going to do another since I have literally no idea how much more weight I want to lose, then decided against it, I've walked away with a total of about $1500 doing those over my weight loss journey, they're great.
@o0kody0o Yeah, I agree, it's a slippery slope for me, I can't do it, if I have one cookie, I have ten, and well, we know what leads to, 241 lbs on my 4'10" frame. I think we have to get to a point where we're realizing our triggers and what causes us to go astray, and make choices to stick with our goals and not cave. As for tasting food, I also find that to be an issue, and I decided a while back to stop doing that too, although, I'll be honest, that's harder than giving up cookies!!
@lsjhudson Great day, sometimes the scale doesn't seem to cooperate despite how hard we're working, water retention is real, and can hide progress from us sometimes, so it's important to not get discouraged and look at the overall trend, something I will be honest, I have a hard time with sometimes.
@digger61 Nice day!! and Congrats on crossing over the 50lb mark! That's super exciting!!
@OkieGina Great day! Way to get back into it! You got this!
@batgirl140 I'm glad you're finding the group helpful, I used to be one of those people who didn't think it was for me, and look at me now, finally for the first time in 33 (okay, well at least 23 of those) about to find myself at a normal body fat range, so close! I have to attribute a lot of it to the support here, it really does help!! We all struggle, but it's motivating to see others succeed and also motivating to realize we're not alone too. Great goals, and I don't know what the belt structure looks like on Taekwondo, but I hope you make it to orange!
@eamitch88 Nice day, glad you're feeling better!!
@BEASTFIELD314 It's nice that you and your wife got a chance to take a walk together, I don't know what I'd do if my husband up and decided to go on a walk with me, just saying. Maybe this time around with your IF, you ease back into it, shave off time every day, or do what I do and get an app, lol, didn't think I'd like it, but it's a nice visual reminder that it's not time to eat yet.
@CourtneyLomonaco Nice day!!
@tinak33 I love your attitude and I am to the point now where I'm not accepting any excuses, so there won't be any more of those life happens moments until I'm finished, I am too close to slow down now. However, for long term weight loss, learning how to deal with life is a lot of the battle, otherwise, we will all regain it. I think you're doing a great job! So close to your goals!! Super exciting!
@Gadgetgirl259 Great day, nice workout!5 -

Calories: Yes
Exercise: Yes, 60 mins weight lifting--hang snatches, power clean + power jerk and finished with some box jumps and tire flips (because my coach thought it would be fun) and on a side note, 350 lb tires that are taller than me are fun to flip when you actually accomplish this, and I only managed it 4 times before my arms and legs gave up on me, but I'll take it.
Comments: Finally got to let my cat out of his cone so he stops dragging it around and knocking everything over with it, can't tell you how many times I've picked up his food dish this last week, and those eye drops weren't fun. Looking forward to a little R&R tonight.3 -

@AB0215 Great workout today! Flipping 350lb tires 4x is fantastic, well done 🔥 Glad your cat got his cone off, I’m sure he’ll be happy about that 🐱

My teammate and I are in 15th place of about 100 teams in the step challenge at work. We are pretty happy with that. She has about 5,000 more steps than me so I need to work on that.
