Water over 100 oz
Exercise 20 walk
Steps 7,724 steps
Another good day yesterday. I didn't get as much done but unfortunately I just couldn't physically do it. Feeling better today so it was worth it. I got the paperwork in the mail for the MRI so I can make an appointment for it. Hopefully it will be early next week. If this MRI doesn't show anything, it is off to PT for me...Busy day today too. It has been hot and humid here so I want to get out early to walk Daisy and hopefully ride my bike. MK is here too so she can help get stuff on other floors so I don't need to do the steps as much. This is an "upside down" house. The main floor is on the 3rd floor. Hope everyone has a great day!
@phoebe112476 I wonder if it is the batteries of the scale since it is usually so accurate. I always have swings with my weight that I don't pay attention to unless it becomes a daily thing. Weight gain and loss can be from so many other factors besides fat loss. I can really relate to how that number on the scale can mess with you throughout the day. I am glad you have preplanned snacks with you and resisted the vending machine. Hang in there, I am sure between the stress with moving and everything else you have going on messes with your body too. Hugs!
@Moarrein Nice loss! You had a great week and it shows! Enjoy your vacation!
@GingerPwr No problem! I am sure TOM has something to do with it! Hope all is well.
@Mrsbell8well I got a ton of "self help" books to read. I was never into that type of stuff but had some recommendations in these podcasts I am listen to so I ordered a lot of them. I am kinda hoping I didn't waste my money. I also have for fun Sometimes I lie by Alice Feeney.4 -
@Mrsbell8well I like Dan Brown's books. I'll have tocheck that one out.
Just finished a book by Pat Conroy "South of Broad" about growing up in Charleston SC. Next on my list is The Blue Period about Picasso or When I Found You by Catherine Ryan Hyde.
I also read a lot of romance novels for fast, fun reads.1 -

Didn't get a great night's sleep last night and I can tell I'm retaining water so today's weigh in isn't much of a surprise. Notice how I'm not calling it a gain LOL. But in all seriousness the words we say to ourselves matter. I'm feeling good about my activity level, eating and water intake so will just keep doing what I'm doing and trust the scale will come around.
My garden is planted so now its time to focus on weeds. Yuck! Been busy picking up rocks and pinecones so I can bush hog the fields. Hooked up the bush hog yesterday on the first attempt and didn't need to call hubby with any questions. Usually it takes me several attempts and a few phone calls/texts. Yay me!! When he bush hogs it looks like a golf course. When I do it I just try not to break anything or run into a tree with the tractor. LOL Wish me luck!!
Nice loss @Shirin_K! You do really well when you're in your grooveKeep up the good work!!

@Mrsbell8well i am reading James Patterson right now, i love his books. i always make my husband download every book he comes out with except for the kid ones and the ones that the kids are some sort of beasts. those don't interest me.
@Cafelelia you have a smart son, he knew to come to his mom. some kids might have just blown off the situation.
so my weight is up. i have worked out this week even at 4am, added in some weights. i am eating off a smaller plate, no seconds. this is getting out of hand. im going to start weighing out my food again and hope it's that. i am even eating fruit daily, usually not my thing. here's to next week. very frustrating.6 -
My vegetable garden. Grow big and strong little plants

@nstephenson01 wow what an amazing garden! it is spectacular!!!
@shirin_k my goodness girl you are on a roll! Look at you sliding down that 150's scale. Good job!
@Cafelelia so glad you are pain free and what a relief that things worked out for your son's friend!
@carlsoda you are on a roll! Doesn't that feel so good vs being a stuck slug?
@pacsnc6 thanks for the book recommendations.
@sleepymom5 so glad MK is there to help you out. As always I am so envious of your lovely life. Biking, walking, kayaking, family and friends...good food and prosecco. You live such a lovely life especially love the shore home!
Hey team...loving all the book ideas. thinking about books that I have read in the past that I loved:
Rebecca an old time classic by Daphne Du Maurier, House of sand and fog by Vadim Perelman, Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz. One of my all time favorites for a great summer read Sufficient Grace by Darnell Arnoult...this is the writer I would love to be.4 -
I just had it in my head that I wanted to think again about doing the Appalachian trail. it would be a 6-7 months commitment. I am currently following someone that is 65 female hiking it alone. I love her photos and stories. She has been struggling with weight issues. Now she has traveled all the way to Virginia. It is sad to me that she has lost so much weight on this journey and gained tons of muscle but still laments that she has a "belly". Oh how sad and how relatable.
I changed my mind and instead Molly and I have a 5 year plan. In 5 years we will retire, buy an RV and hit a map of all the best vegan restaurants across the united States! A long the way we plan to also explore bike trails, places to swim, paths for me to run and the best hiking trails! And I don't have to worry about being caught in rain storms and attacked by bears! There are advantages to getting older and wiser.5 -
That's more like it!!
@pacsnc6 I think I need to start making a list of books to read, those sound great!
@nstephenson01 I absolutely agree the way we talk to ourselves is so important! I am glad that you have a good attitude about the slight gain, you have been doing so well so it will eventually catch up on the scale. Your gardens are beautiful! Good luck on the hog today...guess that is a tractor??/
@Shirin_K Nice loss! You are doing fabulous!
@carlsoda Another awesome day!! Keep it going!!
@ljdanny Do you think it could be from the weight training? I know when I start out I usually have a small gain and then it evens out. I know it is frustrating but you are doing awesome. Don't let this small gain derail you.
@Cafelelia I love that you are pain free now. I know that when you started in this group you worked very hard at PT and getting to where you are now.
@Mrsbell8well My brother is on the Appalachian trail right now! He already did from Haper's Ferry to Maine last year but didn't finish. He had about 200 more miles to go in Maine but had to go to the ER with stomach issues that didn't resolve for months. Yes, he did have a water purifier and did all the things he was supposed to but he still got sick. He is an avid hiker and camper. In his younger years he climbed Mt Rainer. He also got a bad case of plantar fascitis even with several hiking shoe changes. He is currently going south from Haper's ferry, he is just walking until his feet start hurting again. I think he is in Shenandoah National Park right now. I like to hike but I don't think I would enjoy doing it all day every day. He just loves it!5 -

One bucket list item we're crossing off this summer is going to "big sky country." We leave July 8 for a week of hiking, fishing, kayaking and photography in Montana.
Hubs and I are also privately renewing our vows probably on a mountain somewhere.
NSV today: went through my closet and got rid of a bunch of clothes that were too big, and tried on a bunch I had held on to in the hope I'd fit back into them and they FIT!9 -
@gingerpwr I’m so very happy for you and hubs! Sounds like a new beginning with a new you. What a great feeling to get rid of big clothes and fit into our favorite small ones. And your vacation sounds wonderful! Looking forward to the pics.

Daily check in Thursday
Logged started but no.
Exercise ran at the gym a fast pace 30 minutes. Yoga 26
Steps 13,395
Mom and I went shopping last night. I needed a new bra and a few white t shirts. Ended up skipping dinner since I had a late lunch. Went to bed hungry.
I’m still wearing a 38DD. Geez I’ve lost so much weight but I swear my breasts are growing. I don’t ever remember being this big and never a DD. Oh well. Mom bought me a beautiful white linen dress.
I’m pretty much done with my summer wardrobe. I can’t wait to sort out my closet. My color palette is ivory, taupe, black, white and pink. With a bit of periwinkle for summer.
Big day today at work. Hopefully off early. Frisbee golf tonight with my sweetheart.
TGIF!!!
Happy SUMMER everyone!!! Bikini time.
Anything fun this weekend? My work team is volunteering with an adventure race tomorrow for wounded warriors. 6:45 till 2pm. Then a waterfall hike on Sunday with Molly. I’m planning a gourmet picnic with blackberry hand pies.4 -
Daily check in Honeymoon
Food did ok
Water not enough
Exercise lots of activity
Steps tons!
well i am back from my honeymoon. got back yesterday about 6:30 p.m, Mack was happy to see us. it was a great trip. we went to a quite a few different breweries, the Frederick Meijer Gardens, the gerald ford museum, silver lake and the sand dunes. i am glad to be home. it has been a whirlwind of a week. and just so you know, nobodies coffee is as good as the coffee you make at home. i will post some pics later. just have so much to do right now to catch up with you all. but i do want to let you all know that i have come back recharged and refocused. i am not sure what the new job will entail time wise. i know i will be way busier than i am currently at my job. i will adjust to the change as it happens. still not sure of the time line for the transfer, i will know more when i get back to work tuesday. i am excited as i read thru everyones posts. you are all really learning to change the way you think about life and food. as for my summer plans.... i am going to be busy readjusting to a new job. there will be a lot of mind set changes that come along with that. i cannot wait. i have to get my name changed on all my stuff as well.
i wanted you all to know that i have been reading along while i was gone. i am not going to go back and comment on each and every one of your posts. but know that i have been reading.
Now team business....
challenge ahead!!
it is the weekend team mates! what is your exercise plan for the weekend? many times we are good during the week and slack off on the weekend, our mind frame is i have been good all week. i deserve a break. that is diet mentality. there is no break. this is a life style. so lets treat the weekend like it's a week day. include fun and relaxation but also, good healthy food and exercise and activity.
My exercise commitment for the weekend:
Saturday: yoga outside
Sunday: treadmill
