This is true. We once had an unincorporated town in our state called "Mole Hill." There was an activity held there and the PR people celebrated it by changing its name to "Mountain," so that they "made a mountain out of a mole hill."0 -

I saw this promo in email for NS at $199. It is called the basic plan but you are able to choose meals--Why so cheap? 15 breakfasts, 15 lunches, 15 dinners and 15 snacks.0

Jean, I’ll bet business is off with so many people unemployed or underemployed. They’re probably looking for sales anywhere they can get them. Are you going to order? It might be worth your while since you have to drive so far for decent shopping opportunities. At least you could stay safe at home.0

Helene--I'm debating it for the reason you stated. Remember, I had been ordering that two week supply of dinners and snacks for two which for one could be four weeks. I think it was $139 from QVC plus shipping. With the QVC deal, I can't select but I like the items they send. I can easily do breakfast and lunch. I really think the only advantage the NS deal has is the ability to choose items...and it is more expensive based upon how I eat.
I've been doing grocery pick up from Walmart in the city since March. This week makes 6 weeks since the last pickup as I bought enough to last me until I could drive again, supplemented by the NS stuff and a few things from the local supermarket.0 -
Sounds like the QVC plan works best for you. And you save quite a bit. You could always do an a la cart order if they have a sale and there’s something you particularly like.0

I can't believe these food delivery services advertise themselves as great service and saving people time. They do neither!!!
I had an order supposed to be delivered today between 12 and 2. At 3 I finally called. It was delivered somewhere. Where? No one seems to know. They refunded me but that doesn't get DH chicken salad for his lunch tomorrow. I was able to quickly do another order which arrived by 4:30 BUT several items that were available in the first order were out of stock by then. I guess wherever my order went they got the last one of a bunch of stuff. And the shopper called about substitutes even though I put down no substitutes. Her phone had a Connecticut number so I almost didn't pick up. Thank goodness I did. I don't know how they train these shoppers but in what universe if regular root beer a good sub for diet, for example.
Whew, just had to get that out. I want to offer my consulting services. I now know what the perfect online ordering website would look like/work (I've tried TWELVE services and none are what I'd design) and what the training course for the shoppers should look like!!!! LOL!

This is what the QVC dinner and snacks for two for two weeks (make that 4 weeks for one person) which I've found acceptable and makes a great back up for $125 plus $10 shipping for 20 meals and 20 snacks. The negative on this is that the box is delivered to the Post Office and not to the house.

Maryanne--QVC orders almost always go to the post office even when using the home address. It is some type of arrangement they have with UPS. We don't have house to house delivery of mail, so we have to go to the Post Office.

Saturday night I watched the movie.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Personally I think they did a magnificent job with the cameras/editing. (The difference between the movie Disney released and the bootleg CD I have of someone who taped it from the audience is night and day.) Plus, of course, it's the original cast which you'll never see in a theater again.
I want to rewatch with captions too if I can figure out how to do that. If not I want to rewatch with the words on paper in front of me. (That's available in the CD.)0 -
