Food: too much
Water: 80 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes low intensity, 60 minute walk with neighbor/friend
It was strange spending Easter alone. If life was normal I would have gone to church this morning and then would have been at my sister's with the rest of my family for the afternoon and evening.
Instead I picked up my takeout meal and delivered 2 others. One of them gave me a couple of cookies that she had made. I spent a few minutes talking with both of them. One is in her 70's and the other in her 80's and I know they're both lonely. They stood in their doorways with me at least 6 feet away. Seems really strange since normally I would have given them a hug but since that's not an option right now that didn't happen.
My neighbor/friend that I've been walking with gave me a slice of peanut butter pie. She said she likes to have something in her freezer for company, then laughed and said nobody's going to be coming. She took out a slice for me and one for herself and put the rest back in the freezer for another time. We took our long walk today and even though it looked like it might rain there were a lot of people out on the path. Saw a couple who also goes to my gym. We all commented on how working out at home is so different from working out at the gym. It's one of the many things I miss.3 -

Here's my Easter meal. Everything, including the cookies and pie was really good. I didn't plan on eating that much food today.😯

@nstephenson01 Your patio furniture made me lol. Beautiful photo of Willow too.
@CassieGetsFit2013 My weight is bouncing around on me too, going up and down the same numbers. Overall it is moving downwards slowly each week. It's frustrating but keep going.
@tryingagain5 Your food looks yummy, the pie looks delicious. And a lovely message too. Things certainly are different now.
I'm having a quiet Monday here, still not feeling great. Planning on taking it easy, doing some more stretching and seeing if I can release these trapped nerves and hopefully get my face, neck and arm to stop hurting. I do know how to manage this, it just gets frustrating when it flares for days at a time and I can't do much about the pain. There won't be much exercise. I'd like to go for a gentle walk but it keeps pouring with rain. Oh well.5 -

Water: 56 oz
Exercise:Walk 25 min (while food was cooking)
I had a nice Easter. We got to FaceTime Jim and he is alert enough to answer phone by himself so I was able to talk to him a few times. He improves a little each day. Although he seems like he has so far to go, looking back he has improved so much.
Today, I am bringing down the hammer on my eating. I have my meals planned out. I am going to allow myself a snack after dinner but that is it. If I want a snack before, I will have fruit if I am truly hungry. I also want to get back to the 14 hour IF. I don't like to do it when I eat so late but I need to start getting back into that. I am having a little trouble getting water in. I am not too sure why that is. I am going to make a point to drink at least 64 oz today, hopefully more. Today I will workout in the basement, most likely the stationary bike. I also am going to organize our room. I would like to at least have spring cleaning done after we are finished with this confinement. I am trying to picture what I would like to see when we are back to our normal lives and Jim is home. I would like to have all my cleaning and little projects done so I can spend more time with him. I also would like to have made progress in the weight arena. I certainly don't want to gain. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Let's have a great week!
Congratulations to @annliz23, @GingerPwr and @nstephen01 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place this week! A special shout out to @annliz23 for 3rd place overall for percentage lost!
@nstephenson01 It looks so pretty! I love how Willow is relaxing, you would never think she was laying in cold snow! I like that you are taking the time to plan for the week. That will help make this week a success!
@annliz23 They are the cutest! You are really good with grooming, they look professionally done. We may need to do Daisy our golden doodle. She is more poodle than golden. She gets matted so quickly. We have been brushing her more but may have to take the leap. We are going to check out youtube. Thanks.
@tryingagain5 It was a strange Easter, we all will remember this one. The dinner looks great, especially that peanut butter pie! I am glad you enjoyed it. It is all about balance. Enjoy the Holiday but then get back to it! You really have been doing awesome!
@CassieGetsFit2013 Nice loss! Keep it going! You are doing great!
@Freeglerock It is tough with the steps and being confined. Friday you kicked butt!!
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Hope your symptoms start to ease soon. I also hope the rain lets up and you can get out for a walk at least. Hugs!
@hope002 Nice stepping!
@Mrsbell8well What a lovely dinner! Looks delicious!
@bown6267 You seem to be doing great! Another great day of steps!
@jedaschultz Maintaining during this time isn't bad. You and I do need to get ourselves out of the 190s and into the 180s Lol! Hope you are doing well.

Good morning everyone,
I hope that all of you celebrating has as nice an Easter as was possible. I started getting a migraine last night, which is rare for me. It could be that I had more chocolate than usual and that triggered it. I am feeling better this morning but a little groggy. I need to catch up on posts and tally up the step challenge right away. Will announce a winner shortly.2 -

Hi all,
Hope those who celebrate have had a nice Easter weekend
@KUMEcyclingteam - I feel like I'm never going to see masks over beards the same way again
@sleepymom5 - I had a similar experience at the store yesterday, I don't know why people can't follow simple instructions! I completely agree, when all this is over I am going to have a new appreciation for the basic things that we take for granted. Glad to hear Jim is still moving in the right direction x
@annliz23 - aww, your puppers are adorable, and the grooming looks so professional!
@tryingagain5 - your Easter spread looked lovely, how nice that your neighbours/friends are still all contributing to each other
@Mrsbell8well - your food all looks yummy
Congrats to our weight loss and step winners - great job all!

Will take that Sooo close to the 180s, it has def been years since I've been there lol. Been fairly good this weekend, had a bag of mini eggs last night since it is Easter but apart from that have been trying to avoid the snacks. Also trying some different online workouts so keeping a bit more active. My sleep pattern is a bit all over the place though, always been a night owl but it's getting a bit silly at the moment! Will try and bring it back some this week.3 -
@1theresamcvean wanted me to let you know that she has a presumed, mild case of COVID 19. Mild still means not feeling good at all. She is resting and taking care. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Sending Theresa a huge virtual hug!7

Week 3
I aim to get more workouts in this week, so far a busy day, gardening, cleaning windows , 1 3 mile walk and cleaned the house from top to bottom,!
Hope your all having a lovely Monday and staying safe!3 -
Hello Team and Happy Monday. I just called to put my gym memberships on hold. I have one membership at my local privately owned gym. The owner is about 30 years old and one of the most ambitious and informed people I know. I use that gym on my weekday mornings for an interval training workout and it is a more supervised workout. I also have a membership for $29.00 a month through my Blue Cross Insurance with "Fitness Your Way" and it gives me access to over 10,000 different gyms, although I pretty much use it for an LA Fitness nearby to do Zumba classes, Step classes and Aqua Aerobics. I do miss the variety of my workouts and as boring as it is, I still do the same YouTube video every weekday morning right now. It is almost neurotic and I am trying to analyze myself as to why I don't watch other videos. I get up at 4:45, the same time I used to get up for the gym, and I get dressed normally and go into my living room and do my workout. Maybe it keeps things simple so I don't have to do much thinking at that time in the morning. I really don't know why I don't change it up. I think maybe I'm just weird!! lol!! Anyways, I realized the payments were still coming out of my bank account and I'm just trying to cut costs wherever I can right now.
I'm in a good frame of mind with my exercise and food so maybe I just am afraid of changing anything in the mix. Yesterday my son and I got a carryout from a local restaurant that was doing a buy one get one Easter Dinner. I don't eat Ham, so I ordered the Salmon dinner instead and it was awesome. It came with a green bean casserole and steak fries, which I offered to my son. He didn't want the steak fries so I immediately put them down the garbage disposal so that I wouldn't get any bad ideas! This is the longest stretch of time that I have gone with losing weight - probably in my whole life! I started eating great and losing weight at the beginning of February. Sometimes it's only a half a pound, but at least it's going in the right direction. Having my son living with me right now adds another challenge of having things in the house that I normally wouldn't have. I'm and all or nothing kind of person - so right now the all is being dedicated to a great diet and consistent exercise.
Anyways, thanks for being there for me team. I appreciate you all putting up with me and my weird habits. You guys know more about me than some of my closest friends. Its nice having a group like you guys to share my deep dark eating secrets!! Like sweets, nuts, and midnight trips to the gas station - which I haven't done in a really, really long time!! Yeah!!6 -
@tryingagain5 what a thoughtful take home meal your friend put together for everyone. And that pie looks delish. I don't think I could trust myself around it. I just discovered white chocolate Reese peanut butter cups and they are quickly becoming my new obsession.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx I hope you get some relief soon. I suppose knowing how to manage it is key at least
@mrsbell8well your brunch and tablescape look lovely
@sleepymom5 So wonderful that Jim's continuing to improve and is able to handle the phone by himself so soon. His recovery is such a blessing
@Cafelelia I hope you feel better today. and very sorry to hear that about @1theresamcvean. She has certainly had more than her share of hardship of late.
Sunday
Food: Not good... didn't IF, didn't log. Cooked a breakfast that was greasy, salty and fatty. At 9 degrees it seemed like a good idea to add a nip of Bailey's to my morning coffee. Rest of the day was better and my husband made chili for dinner that was spicy and had an assortment of beans. Not our typical Easter fare but its not a typical Easter. Also I didn't snack on any sweets. I need a sign on my husband's candy stash that says "Not for you today" LOL
Water: 80 oz
Exercise & steps: dog walk; 11,130 steps
Spent a little time yesterday drawing up a rough plan. My focus this week will be on fruits/veggies & fiber, 80 oz water, and no sweets (except a square or two of dark chocolate, on occasion)
Happy Monday all!3 -
I just read in the news that instead of toilet paper, hair dye and other personal grooming products are now flying off of the shelves. Here is a new F2F group challenge. We want to see it all from you, the success stories, the greying roots, the crazy beards, the long bangs, the tussled hair. Post photos of your grooming successes, challenges or fails relating to you, your family or your pets. Maybe you have discovered your inner hairdresser or pet groomer? Maybe you went a little to crazy with the scissors? Maybe your roots are in high contrast right now? Show us what is going on!
You can post photos and commentary at the thread link here:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10792163/the-good-the-bad-the-really-not-good-grooming-photo-challenge#latest
Have fun and we will keep this challenge going as long as you like!
We have already seen some amazing photos here on our team thread!2 -
Monday 4/13
Food: I haven't had supper yet but have only eaten 600 calories so far today so I think I'll be fine there
Water: 16 oz so far, guessing it will be about 32 or 40 oz total
Exercise: 10 minutes low intensity, 30 minute walk around condo complex
I'm going back to work tonight so I tried sleeping this afternoon. I didn't sleep well so I may have to nap again before work.
It was really windy and cold here today so we just walked around the condo complex.3 -
So I did a stretching Yoga video off YouTube yesterday in the hope of loosening some muscles, yeegads I can feel muscles today that I haven't felt in years!
I lost a lot of flexibility since I stopped Personal Training and heavy lifting, and although I've been stretching a lot in the past few months to regain some of it, this is the first time I've done a proper yoga workout in maybe 3.5 years. It certainly did help loosen me up though, and I did manage the whole session even with my nerves flared. Granted, it was a 25 min session. And beginner level. 🤣 But I am still proud! You eat an elephant one bite at a time, so this is a good start.
My weight was also down 400 grams this morning (450 grams is 1lb), too bad weigh in is a Sunday for me... it will probably bounce up by then. But I'm satisfied that the overall trend is fat loss and the bouncing is water weight.
Kids are all back at school tomorrow... or should I say schooling from home. We won't know until the 20th if our lockdown is extended, or if we step back one level. It's only Term 2 of our school year however, so the kids have to continue learning no matter what. Mine are the equivalent of US High school Junior, Sophomore and the twins would be Grade 6 I think? They're Year 7 here, but we count differently. ("Kindergarten" is counted as Year 1).
Anyway I am technically at work, just wanted to throw some encouragement at you all, I will check in properly later. 🙂❤8 -
@nstephenson01
It sure was a nice gesture. That's the way she is all the time. She always takes in "strays" at holidays or any other time. You're have no place to go for the holiday, now you do, come over at 1pm.
Everything was wonderful. I should probably have saved the pie for another day but couldn't control myself. If I had been with my family I would most likely have eaten more than I normally would too. I love Reese peanut butter cups, can't have them in the house, I'd eat the whole package. I haven't had the white chocolate ones. I'll have to try them sometime but will have to buy an individual one.4 -

Started painting the young one's room yesterday. Hopefully finishing today. Nibbled too much instead of planning meals.
So today I have a plan. Gonna start with fruit and yogurt then go for a short run. Then we're painting the rest of the day.4 -
@sleepymom5 seems like you have a good plan, now just to make it work! Good to hear that Jim is steadily improving, hope he can come home soon
I go in for round 2 chemo on Friday - hoping it goes as well as the first - I am ready!
@1theresamcvean sorry to hear your got the virus, hope you get the right treatments soon and recover quickly
