oooh - can’t get fish and chips here. Bbq yes but fish and chips no. I’m saving up calories for my visit to Canada maritimes in September. Definitely some lobster too.

Today was tuna salad on a bed of lettuce. Some gluten free crackers (hubby’s sale score cause we don’t have gluten allergies). And a cup of pineapple, mandarin orange, coconut ambrosia made with Greek yogurt.

Put a lid on beans and popped in fridge. Made quick soup from bouillon, frozen vegs, spices. Not bored of it, lol

    And fruit yogurt.

(This is 2nd post i thought i posted but it's not there. Hmmm. Android phone, website not app.)

    Yooly is a smart puppy!

@yakkystuff is spreading her cold to the MFP app! Hopefully BOTH @yakkystuff and MFP BOTH feel better soon!

The tail end of my SECOND plate of all you can eat fish and chips (but flour only, so no batter)… no effing wonder I've been passed out in my chair groaning!

    I'll go log now ;-)

461g of floured deep fried fish. 299.5g of chips (fries). 83g of coleslaw dressing. 180g of "tri colored" coleslaw, 52.5g ketchup, one kaiser bun (47g) and 5g butter! I think I have my work cut out for me!

YES. One effing dish was more than enough… but no… I had to have two. And yes, they were remarkably equal in size. Fish was 2g more for the second portion in the picture. Chips were 166g for the first and 133.5g for the second plate.

GULP!!!! That's a bit more than I thought, especially the fish! Then again it was quite a bit I admit!

So WOW 😮 Mr. PAV - 2300 calories of fish and chips. That’s nearly TWICE my daily calorie allowance! Even in my mythical future maintenance it’s still way over.
The curse of being old and short……

Trust me I regretted the unnecessary second plate! One plate was more than enough.

Health metrics all say the same thing too! Resting HR is up! Heart rate variability is down!

Dumb decisions less easy to slide without side effects as age increases!

Kind of surprised it shows in your markers like that - incentive there ahead ;)

Oh those are good da both of ya. Egg with EW and cauli rice for the wins! I've brought out the second half of the bunnies from the other day (the edamame ones). Added some onion and black forest ham. And some cookies… trying to keep things to a dull roar today! :)

    What's with taco day??????🤯

I had my veggies logged into yesterday in lieu of the cookies that were moved into today! 🤯 Today lost some calories on the deal but did gain some yummy bunnies and black forest ham🤷‍♂️

Trying to maybe go out and see some sun instead of being a vampire!🤯

Slow cooked mixed beans & beef with diced tomatoes, bell peppers, onions spices. Green beans and taters.

That beef sounds like a good combo… hmm…. you're getting me to thinkings!

In flavor, a little (i like rice) vinegar and lemon juice for acid (in addition to the diced tomatoes).

I use a bit dark molasses which takes off the bite/harshness of the acids and spices.

The onion & bell pepper goes to flavor (pre-saute to translucent can also reduce the bite.)

Slow cooker, like beef stew allows all to marry well but always touch better 2nd day so love leftovers with this kind of stuff.

Should not browse to order online groceries! Ended up with too much in cart, and… ravenous!!! My sweet tooth is utterly begging! lol

Stumbled across a 'fusion' so similar to the bowls we do (ours tend to be green bean based for hubby tho).

Is that frozen veggies like the Green Giant overpriced but somewhat yummy restaurant sides?

What's for dinner? Probably some watermelon… MAYBE… if I have the calories!

(ok ok I'm having some whether I have the calories or not!)

Because SOMEONE who was NOT ME decided where we were going for lunch!

In case you're wondering…. twiddle-d is having a 7oz steak sandwich on garlic bread with a "small" quantity of "fries". Twiddle-dumber ordered the "waffle fry "nacho" type "loaded" thingies" with scrambled eggs and hollandaise sauce with a side of some other type of sauce. Suffice it to say the other sauce was not consumed and a token couple of fries were left… but it was still probably KAL-OR-IES GALORE!

But noooooo….. twiddle-d wanted outdoor beer! And twiddle-dumber still hasn't learned how to say NO!

OH…. and Mr-d pulled the "I'm heading to the washroom trick" as soon as the bill was called for! Methinks the lowered functioning abilities are reserved ONLY for when it is not worth our while to function at full capacity! :)

Yes, always crazy priced... did not buy it.

Did however spot a recipe for potatoes, eggs & green beans hubby thought he would like, so I put some touch expensive brown eggs in the cart, but as I was shopping, heard about salmonella in brown egg recall... dumped from cart, just in case.

Last week, the white eggs I had in my cart sold out before I checked out, urgh... they have not come back in stock...

With the new news of 1.5mil bird flocks in Calif samples testing positive for bird flu... i am not optimistic of getting affordable retail eggs anytime soon.... think the bulk are going to food producers and restaurants. Today, we just said... oh well, there's other things to eat instead of eggs. I just had not realized how freely we used eggs. Always cheap and on sale... I hope that returns!

I had deconstructed chicken taco for lunch, exact same, just swapped the meat.

We went out for supper and I wasn't super hungry so I had a cup of Brunswick stew and like 2 bites of the cornbread that came with it (it was not very good)

Not very good sucks when you're going out plus the egg situation....

Mr. PAV - I’m assuming Mr.d did not order for you? So you got to own it! However some soul searching needs to be done about the WTF attitude triggers….

Not sure I would want to track either plate - and call it a rare occurrance, if rare? Both plates look comparable... whole day or 2 of food? ;)
