Here's a question that I'm hoping somebody can answer: what happens when one reaches their goal and no longer wants to lose more weight (I mean AFTER the happy dance and the buying of new underwear that actually fits!)? Is there another group somewhere for maintainers? I don't want to stay in the group and (hopefully) post the same weight week after week. I'm still somewhere between 16 and 22 pounds from my final destination but thinking about it cheers me up and keeps me from turning all of those frozen bananas into chocolate "nice cream."
Good question. You are so close. Hope you find a maintenance group, I’m sure there has to be ones out there. If I see any I will pass it along.
Oh, sure, I have found a maintenance group, but I wondered what THIS particular group had to offer people who had reached their goal, that's all. If the support ends with people reaching their goal, that's a shame! It's work maintaining too, even though you're not trying to lose more weight (as a FORMER yoyo dieter, I know this all too well). I was just wondering what members in this particular group do once they reach their goal. Just leave? but thanks for your reply; it's much appreciated!0 -

@chublet25 You can stay in the group and still participate but your weight won't count toward the groups total, this is what we call the Cheer Squad. I think it's important (and a lesson I learned) that when you get to your goal weight, you should still pay attention to it and not just go crazy (also a lesson I learned) so I encourage you to either stay with us on the cheer squad or even find a group that is all about maintenance. We're happy to have you if you want to stay with us and cheer us on when you get to your goal.
Awesome! THANKS! I know all too well not to drop the ball to stay in the game and keep the weight from coming back!1 -

Comments: I got offended today when my husband looked at my Taco Salad and said: "There's no shortage of food the way you're doing it!" It was not a really big salad, just a normal meal sized lunch salad. I have been enjoying the Taco Salad for lunch so I ate it 2 day's in a row. I was so offended that I didn't eat popcorn or cookies today. I ate just under 800 calories. I don't really want him helping me with my food or making comments, but there's no stopping him or I get the lecture about how I'm not including him. I need not to let him bother me, I'm doing really well staying on track and counting my calories, and staying under. I have not cheated, but I feel like I cheated myself today when I said I ate more food than I really did on my Food Diary.3 -

Comments: I have been eating good foods, just too much of it. And for most of the week my weight remained pretty stable so I was not worried about it, but at the same time I have to realize that it's not going to help me change my weight if I keep doing the same things over and over when I need to change them to actually change, so I am working on reminding myself that is necessary and much to my surprise, my weight responded right away to actually sticking to the plan yesterday so I guess I should take that as a sign. Here's a question that I'm hoping somebody can answer: what happens when one reaches their goal and no longer wants to lose more weight (I mean AFTER the happy dance and the buying of new underwear that actually fits!)? My husband at times has done similar things to me. And while I know he means well, it doesn’t always come out that way. Hang in there. Hugs.0 -

We were working in the yard pulling some weeds and my husband got bit by something. Had a severe allergic reaction. Spent most of the day in the ER. He’s fine. But it was a little scary there for a while.

I would have got offended too! You must have more self-control than I have, because I would have blasted anybody who said something like that to me. It's hard enough trying to lose weight. Nobody needs grief about it.0 -
