Best non pool day steps I had in a week. I managed 33 minutes of exercise doing mini walks yesterday. Tomorrow I am going to go to the pool and I will do a workout keeping my head above water. Monday I have to start tackling my lap goal. It will be tough as I am going away for 2 days on the 24th leaving me 11 days to reach the 800 laps. I know I can do it!

Headed in the right direction. I worry about the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day throwing me off. I don’t care about the game but I do care about nachos! I’m going to try to up exercise and be mindful of portions. But more importantly, I want to be selective on my indulgences and not use it as an excuse to binge on all the things.

it is a very cold day here today. the sun is shining brightly. my daughter says hi. she is at her part time job today. both budgie birds are doing well. i have been for a walk and i feel great. i will be doing some dancing later on this afternoon. i got my grocery shopping done today. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.1

So yesterday my brother came to visit and they bought these cream cakes...so my mum, my brother and his wife are all like have a cake … I said no thanks, they kept on have a cake you wont be able to resist when you see them...again I said no thank you ..again they kept on you wont be able to resist have a cake ..this went on for most of the visit...I didn't have a cake ...so feeder family yes I will resist cos they didn't look that great tbh. Today I feel so happy I didn't cave in … feel fully back on track!6 -

Calories - around 1941. Ouch. Had to guess with lunch at sea world. Marti Gras. Ate a little of several things so I was happy. Not happy with snacking/desserts when I got home.
Spent 3 1/2 hours at the park. Had a great time and got sunburned in the 80F winter weather.5 -

Happy Sunday, Downsizers! We had our PetExpo yesterday - I'm exhausted! Purina donated A TON of cat litter to us - literally - and I have been lifting 50-pound bags into our storage facility. I'm heading back today to finish that up. @Megan_smartiepants1970 here are my steps:

I am pleased to say that I stuck to my eating plan - and did not eat all of the pizza, candy and cookies that were being provided at the expo - I'm really hoping to be in the 150s come weigh-in day...

That’s great to here. My daughter and family finished quarantine yesterday. Those are some crazy steps! Great job avoiding the foods at the expo. All that lifting would have burned some extra calories. How did you get involved with the pet expo?2 -

Closed my rings again with mini walks. Steps are better than yesterday. I am going to the pool in a few minutes to do exercises that keep my head above water. I will do some water walking, cardio and a leg workout. I am aiming to do at least 45 minutes.4 -

@lindamtuck2018 I'm the president of the board of our local animal shelter - and the PetExpo is one of our big fundraisers each year. We had a great turnout - I was shocked - I wasn't expecting much because of Covid.5

I decided to swim laps doing a very improper breaststroke keeping my head out of water. I burned more calories and did it one minute faster than the last time I swam the same distance doing a proper stroke. Go figure! 🤷♀️5

This week was pretty decent for me. I think I got rid of a bunch of water-weight, etc.

I still have a long way to go, and am hoping I can keep things moving in the downward direction. I keep fluctuating between the same 5 lbs, which is super frustrating.
However, I did make the conscious effort to get my steps in everyday this week, including Friday when I made sure to take the dog on a walk so I could reach my step goal. (When I say everyday I mean weekdays lol)

Feeling strong and in control. Allowed myself to stray after Saturday weigh-in, only if I really want to, but am doing 20-30 min cardio interval before straying and the day after.
Stress level since last Sunday is threw the roof, but I've been diligent on meditation and breath work. I'm actually surprised that the scaled moved with this much stress.
3 weeks until the Galapagos Islands!!

Good evening everyone. I truly hope you all had a better day than me. I am spinning, emotion not dizziness. I went out for a nice long walk this morning and got hit twice. Both times they were looking left and turning right. Luckily I didn't go down but my left hand is sore from the contact on the first hood and then more when I had to bang on the second hood several times as I tried to hop out of the way. Neither driver even bothered to say sorry. I came home and ate 1000 calories for lunch. I am working hard to stay under so I changed up my dinner. I will try not to eat dessert even though I made some heart shaped cakes for us.
Check in for 2/13:
Steps - 15256. Will have a few more when I pick up daughter from work.
Calories - 1729 thru dinner. Will try to not have dessert to stay under.
Exercise - 7.68 miles. Don't know or care how long after everything.
I am hoping to get my mind straight again quickly. I already apologized to my family if I get snappy with them. It was my first, and second, time getting hit in 2 years of walking.2 -
@rwood566 Holy moly! I hope you are doing ok after that. I would have a hard time getting out to do a walk if that happened to me! That's crazy! I can't even imagine getting hit. You are a braver soul than me. Dreadmill would be my choice if I got hit once much less being hit twice in one day! You are a braver soul than me. Stay safe!1
