Here's my brownie sundae that SideSteel forced me to make and eat.
Did you read his blog about the brownie sundae the other day? He made a convincing case for eating one.
I mean umm. He *said* it was about self-control and how it's harder to overeat if you keep your delicious food out of sight out of mind. But I'm not the only one who came away from it just wanting a brownie sundae.
I wanted one! Instead, I had a wonut from Safeway today. Actually, I had 2. One was maple nut (it had more of a texture like it sat in syrup for a minute), and the other was chocolate. Surprisingly, the chocolate one wasn't as good. I should've just put it in a bag and saved it for later, but I didn't realize the damage I did this morning until I got to work. And I didn't get a picture. This is from the internetz. The maple nut was covered in glaze, but the chocolate was only partially covered. I wish it had looked like this one.

I need more of a definition to this Wonut creation. Is it like a waffle, that is then deep fried like a donut, and glazed or covered in sugar? That's what it looks like from the picture. Sweet Lord in Heaven where do you find these? Safeway? Like the grocery store? I don't have one of those near me. Where else?!0 -
Desert at lunch with my friend
Oreo pie - Oreo ice cream with Oreo pie crust
Nutella mousse - Nutella, chocolate mouse, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
Oh my word. All of that stuff looks amazing.0 -

I think that's it. These didn't have a hole in the middle, they just looked like a thick donut, and softer than a waffle. I got it at Safeway and A_Watery_Tart also got them at Safeway, but she was told it was called a Wafflenut. My store called them Wonuts. You can get them at Waffles Cafe in Chicago, too. I think they originated there. I don't know where else, sorry. Here are some more pictures, and a website. http://www.thatsnerdalicious.com/food-porn/meet-the-wonut-waffle-donut-love-child/
Mine looked like the one in the bottom right corner, except with maple nut frosting on one, and chocolate drizzled on one end on the other one.0 -
The other creations from today, the beginning of apple butter I'll finish this tomorrow
And bread pudding in a JD Honey Tennessee sauce - a little crispier on top than what I hoped for but still tastes great

Oh my goodness what beautiful cupcakes.
I've been on a cupcake kick lately. Which is kinda good because I need to practice my decorating.0 -
My haul from Target. I tried the M&Ms and the chocolate peeps tonight. The M&Ms are not what I was expecting. They are really good, but they don't remind me of candy corn at all. They're kind of fruity-- reminds me more of skittles or starburst-- with white chocolate. Really really good.
And I love the chocolate mini-peeps. A couple of Easters ago I found chocolate creme peeps one time. I adored them but then could never find them again. As a bonus these little guys are 14 calories each.
I'm planning to have the S'mores candy bar tomorrow.0 -
Those cupcakes are beautiful, I need to make more cupcakes
Amber nice haul! I can't wait to hear how the S'mores bar is0 -

Fruity? I wonder if they changed them. I don't remember them being fruity. I guess I should get another bag, you know, to refresh my memory. But I'm glad you liked them! Chocolate creme peeps sound awesome!
Also loving MrM27's cupcakes, and Jen's bread pudding. *licks lips*0 -
I don't have any good pictures but I had to pick up some cookies at the store for a couple of get togethers I had at my house this weekend. Lofthouse has mini pumpkin cookies with cinnamon frosting. They were awesome. I am not usually a big frosting on cookie kind of person, but these were really good.0

Oh yeah, and the friends we had over yesterday brought a chocolate peanut butter gooey butter cake, and left us the leftovers. It was good, but not as peanut buttery as I had hoped.0

^^^ That is some sadness right there. It sounds like it would taste like heaven.
I went to the hippie store the other night and picked up a pint of Dolci Gelati, which appears to be made in DC. I got cannoli gelato, because it sounded good. It wasn't as rich as I thought it would be, and it has pieces of candied fruit, whatever it is that they put in fruit cake. It's definitely a different taste, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Only 150 calories in a 102g serving, though! That's a recycled spoon from Menchie's. They're cute, so I keep them!

Did you lick that bowl after you took the picture? Not saying I would have, but of course I would!0

Went with my sister for lunch at a little cafe that has an awesome bakery. We split a coconut macaroon cookie, and a brownie salted caramel cookie (left). That was amazing. The cookies had the texture of brownies, but with a salted caramel frosting in between them.
