If it were me, I'd probably lift on Tuesday. I would be really tired about halfway through the day, and I get pretty cranky when I'm tired.0

I agree with Jessica. You had your "life got in the way unscheduled break" so you can jump right into stage 5, imho.0

Good advice...as I sit here at 10pm eating an entire Hershey bar, damn hormones and lack of self control LOL (See I'm human afterall)0

Sam, last week was my uncontrollable hormonal time. Hard to get back on track this time around. Thank goodness, it comes around once a month , right?
Don't beat yourself up. Do some power walking tomorrow on your trip.0 -

Okay, so after I had my temper tantrum over my weight gain, I took a comparison picture and I feel *a little* better. The first picture was around the end of stage 1. The second picture was Friday after a week of Stage 3 (about a month or so apart). I can tell some difference. Love handles not so wide and the fat on top of my belly is shrinking.
ETA - this is with a GAIN in weight (I think. Not sure what I weighed exactly in the first). Current weight about 182...

You've got so much more definition in your abs, and you look tighter all round! You can defo see a difference, well done :flowerforyou:0 -
JNH!!!! You look so awesome.0
-
JNH17 - Wow! You are looking SO good! Thank you for posting your pics - it gives me evidence that this can work; there is hope!0
-
J, OMG forget what the scale says you look AWESOME! I see definite change in tummy and nice muscle in your legs and shoulder! Keep at it girl, it's really making a difference! And I'll say it again, if I could have those legs I would give my eyetooth! You're rockin' that bod girl!0
-
*blink blink* Great googly moogly you are smokin'!
I will say it again. I want to be half as hot as you. That is all.0 -
cpa - great job on the fat loss!!!
jhn - holy crap I only wish I looked that good!!! You look fantastic!
Sue - hope you're test results will be OK and you don't have to have surgery. I had endrometrial ablation done last October and it was the best thing ever!!!! No more periods, crampings, bloating etc. Don't really even get as many cravings even though I still have all the hormones.
Beeps - sorry about the injury!!! I bet you'll be able to do that pull up when you try it. I am SSSOOOOO doing Stage 6 so I can do a pullup!
Back from vacation finally - had a great time and changed my avatar so you can see all my boys. Starting Stage 4 today - was too tired to get up this morning, so will try to get it all done at my gym at work over lunch. The only issue will be the FSPP since they don't have barbells, but I figure I'll do what I can with dumbbells. Gained a few lbs over vacation, but most of it is probably water retention since I didn't do so well drinking water all week. Hopefully I can get that back down by the end of this week.0 -
Awe, thanks everybody. I do have to say I'm interested to see what 15 or so more weeks will do. I think 15 more weeks of staying on track with my diet will be more of an accomplishment that sticking to NR's!0
-
Dang, JNH! You look great! Really great!0
-
JNH- you've given us all hope! I can really see it in your thighs/mid section.
I'm done with stage 5, on to stage 7 soon. Will come back to 6.
Tested my new 15kg plates tonight my first regular back squat since stage 1, it felt like i was going way below paralell, but my trusty 'assistant' tells me I was only just :ohwell:0 -
JNH--Amazing! You look fantastic, and there's a big difference. Love the green bikini, too!0
-
jnh17: smokin' hot! I definitely see a difference especially your abs! Keep it up!0

Jnh: Throw that scale away!! You look awesome!:flowerforyou:
Couldn't agree more! I can totally see a change in your legs too!0 -

Last night I was back at the gum after 8 days of vacation/laziness. Finally started stage 5 and was hating the 3-4 sets of 4. I felt like I wasn't lifing heavy enough for only 4 reps, but at the same time, didn't think I could go any higher. Plus I usually don't go to the gym at night (I try to go during the day when no one is there!) and while it wasn't packed there were about 5 guys lifting very heavy and working very focused plans, so I was a little intimidated and was trying to get through it and get home to do the body matrix. While resting between my 2nd and 3rd set of dumbbell single arm-overhead squats (using 15 and 30 lb. dumbbells) this very fit, very strong-looking guy says to me (as he's putting 50 + lb. plates on a bar to lift lord knows what), "I've just got to say, you're doing some SERIOUS work over there. Some SERIOUS work. Great job!"
So while totally MORTIFIED that people were actually noticing me (!?!), I was very proud that someone of that fitness/lifting level would compliment my llifting! We're all doing some serious work, and should be very proud of what we HAVE accomplished!
Have a gerat day everyone!0 -
JNH - I would hope you would prefer the physique on the right (who cares about scale??) than on the left....I would!
I start Stage 7, today....I took a FULL rest week and only yesterday returned to exercise - I walked for about 75 minutes - hills!
I hope to finish Stage 7 by the end of July. Oh, and I'm not going to step on the scale this month. I've become a firm believer that the scale doesn't matter, if I can change my shape (i.e. measurements/photos will tell me this!). Period.0 -

Wow! This post almost made me cry! I would so love to hear something like that, but working out in my spare room at home, I don't think it's likely somehow, LOL!
Very well done for representing us so well - you are an ambassador for women's lifting.0 -

That is SO full of win! Good job! I hope that day happens to me. I get a few smiles from the meatheads but no compliments yet.0 -

How awesome is that! That gives me BIG encouragement. I'm very intimidated at the thought of going to the gym to workout. I know I shouldn't be, I pay my membership, I have every right to be on the boys side lifting, just like they do, but I am very self-conscious about my fat and jiggles and I feel like such a noob. I imagine all the dudes thinking look at gramma over there pretending to lift. (After all, it's all about me, of course they would only be watching me!) I think I need to go early, when the gym first opens and there are only a few people there.0 -
Athlete, That is a fabulous NSV!! You go with your bad self. You should be PROUD!.
I have now completely lost my voice. I need a vacation from my vacation and we still have our traditional thrill park excursion for July 4th. I least it's tiny and I don't have to go on anything (more kiddie orientated). I have new bruises from some of the rides yesterday, but boy was it fun LOL.0 -
