Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Mom is resting at home now. Hoping to be back to my home on Saturday, rest up on Sunday and back at it on Monday. (I think I need a vacation to recover from my "vacation".)0

Also congrats to SUSSEXBYTHESEA for hitting a new personal best for monthly miles! It's not something we track, but I sure love hearing about people moving more than they ever have before! I know I sure am. When I first started participating in these challenges some 3 or so years ago, I was lucky to hit 75 miles in a month, but recently I've normally been passing 150! Which speaks to the quote Holli shared with us from her other group. I did what i was capable of then, and over time, I got stronger and now pushing myself requires more. But I've always said "Everybody's hard is different." Don't compare yourself to others. You know what your limits are and what "pushing yourself" means. But I promise you, that if you stick with it and keep pushing yourself, your abilities WILL increase over time. Just don't be too overzealous and hurt yourself by trying to do too much, too quickly. Be patient and results will come for all of you. :flowerforyou:

Well said, Dave. I just realized that I passed 3,000 miles this month. I know some of you cyclists can do this in a couple of months, but for those of us on two feet this is a lot of miles. This is also my 30th MYAC. When I started I could just about run a mile. Since I've been in this challenge I've done 3 marathons and 6 half marathons I think. Don't underestimate what you can do! As for July, after a long day of walking around sightseeing yesterday, I'm finishing up with 180.67. Now on to August :drinker:

Well, I didn't finish out the month strong, but I am still moving in the teeny tiny gaps between working. :laugh:
added 4.5 miles in the last two days. July total 169.75 miles. :bigsmile: :bigsmile:
It was only a year ago I was worried about making 100 miles. Thank You Everyone!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: This group keeps me motivated, but you are also there when I get discouraged. :flowerforyou: Let's keep helping each other as we make this moving thing more of a habit. :happy:
