I think I'm going to cry. This is probably one of the nicest things anyone has ever has ever done for me. I got a postal service ticket that someone had sent me something. I thought maybe I was being sued lol. It took me 5 days to get to the post office due to my ridiculous work schedule. Today I'm off work so I figured let's go see what the bad news is. I go and stand on line for 1 hour and finally get my package. It's from someone named Amber. I only know one person with that name but not even in real life, just on MFP. How did she get my address? I open the box and I find.......cookies. The my better half tells me Amber contacted her to surprise me. I'm blown away. Also, the cookies are 10 days old and we just each at a White chocolate macadamia nut and it was so soft and organic. Just amazing. Thank you so much Amber.

    I got:
    Toffee almond granola
    Homemade vanilla bean caramels
    Toffee shortbread cookies
    Brown butter chocolate chunk cookies
White chocolate snickerdoodle with Cinnamon (For Dora)
    White chocolate snickerdoodle without Cinnamon

That's really sweet! Well done, Acrylics!

Here's my contribution for the night...

Hubby has a Work Xmas Party on Wednesday so I made this:

    20141215_184233.jpg

Eggnog pie. Yes, Eggnog. With actual rum in it too! Hehehe. It actually turned out REALLY light and creamy, but with that distinct eggnog flavor. I'm quite pleased with it! The recipe said it was enough for 1 9-inch pie, but I ended up with enough for 2 pies. I tried using regular shells you bake in the oven, but they folded over, so I scratched that and went with a graham cracker crust and a shortbread crust. So yummy and they still have to sit in the fridge for 4 hours to set. Good thing it made 2 pies though instead of 1, because I don't think 1 is going to even be close to enough!

And here's the recipe I got for it:

    Today's job:

Not my best photograph. I was in a hurry, but I wish I had rotated it so you could see more of the snowflakes.

That's gorgeous! Love the wrapper too. Every part of the decor is in sync.

    It's beautiful!

I love the gingerbread houses and Cortelli's snickerdoodle story, too.

At the suggestion of someone in the "office food" thread, I decided to make shortbread-peanut butter sandwiches...

Back for food porn and because I just have to post this... Chestnut chocolate log.

    log_zps91d6bac2.jpg

I made a second one for today and it's twice as big. Put a bit more chestnut cream this time too. We'll see how it turns out, the first one was fantastic.

I don't think I ever posted this pic either - my kids got NinjaBread Men cookie cutters for Christmas from Santa and we had a lot of fun decorating them... (needless to say cake/cookie/cupcake decorating is not my forte...)

I got my mom the "Walking Gingerdead Men" set because she loves the Walking Dead. Hahaha.

Yellow/Black Ninja is totally rocking it.
