    Hi all....
Roger, ha, the rain pings on our fireplace in the living room...that would keep me up!
Welcome Sanni! Glad you found us. All are welcome here. :)

    Hi Vix
I agree, as I said the more the merrier :)

I have always had a problem with irregular noises. That is why I a often ran the AC on fan or a Box fan
to provide some white noise to mask other noises.

    Cheers

    Hi all

Roger, in my humble opinion they should have let the people have the fruit decorations as the dessert was being
served or as the people were leaving.

E, love love love the beautiful cat

    Sannisings, welcome to the group!

Just had to put an e-collar on Sabit. It's pretty tight since he has the Great Pyrenees long hair but will do for a few days.

    Take care. Stay dry.

    Hi Lynmar
If they are going to throw them away I agree why waste them.

Have a Good Christmas Eves eve :)

Thank you everyone for welcoming me!

I think my frozen is coming in today and my SS tomorrow. I'm just here at my office waiting on the shipment, then heading home to hang out with my two overgrown puppies. I won't be starting until Sunday, Dec 27.

I'm Nicole and I'm from Texas. I spent the last year bouncing around from program to program hoping I could find something better suited for me than NS but there is no other program that I have found success like NS. It works and I shouldn't doubt it anymore. I've got 83 lbs to lose and I am going to stick to this until the end. Something about the NS program that I've just learn to appreciate is the flexibility. Yes, there is a lot of structure but we have the flexibility to choose what SC, PF and veggies we add in, within the NS guidelines, of course. No other program I have tried allows you to do that. And that is why I am back for good.

    Enjoy the day everyone!

    Hi Nicole
I Suspect that most of us have tried many diet plans. I tried Weight Watchers, Atkins etc. My Best Success
    is here with Nutrisystem too.

In this house Friday night we will be Vacuum sealing and freezing left overs. Since my Brother and I
are both working on losing weight that eliminates temptation. We are pursuing different paths however,
I do NutriSystem and he is working with a Nutritionist, We are both losing, However FWIW the NS is working better :)

    Enjoy the Holiday

    Hi Vix
Yup the rain held off for the morning here Wednesday and then went to a steady rain until sometime
after I retired for the night :) Foggy Yesterday too, I wished the crossing guards a Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year as I won't see then until next year :)

    Hi Vix
    Merry Christmas
It was very foggy out this morning and everything was wet but I have not seen any rain so that is good. No Sun OTOH.

I see You succumbed to temptation :) Was it as Good as You remembered?

I must be strange, I could eat the same things daily with no real problem :)

    Have a Great Christmas Day

Belated Merry Christmas! Hope all had a blessed day.

NS is the only diet I've ever been on and 35lb less at exactly the middle of the BMI scale I'd say it worked. Right now I'm watching what I eat but not really following the NS guidelines too well. :( I am doing a lot better with fruits and veggies (with the help of V8Juice) though. :) Guess I'm an honorary member of this board, welcomed by Roger and E.

Finally letting the dogs together again. Vet didn't say if the stitches need to be removed or not. Guess I'll wait a few more days and see if they're still there.

    Have a good weekend.

    Good morning!
Lynmar hope the pup is feeling better. Hope you had a Merry Christmas! Lucky you haven't had to diet much, probably a much healthier metabolism. :) You are a full fledged member of this board! We all do what is best for us. NS helped along the way.
We had a very relaxing day yesterday. I think I really needed that. All I did was go for a walk around the neighborhood and laze around the house. It is so odd to walk around outside in December with just a light sweater and a pair of jeans on. There were people walking around in t-shirts! I don't mind. I'd be happy if it stayed this way all year. :) haha. I don't need winter or summer. :)
Going to do a little cleaning today, maybe work on a project and hopefully get out somewhere for a little while.
    Happy Saturday!

    Hi Lynmar
It does work if You do it right. This month is the toughest month in my opinion for dieting, Thus we see all
the New Years Resolutions to lose weight.

    Low Sodium V8?

    Good Luck with the stitches

    Hi Again
I agree if it stayed like this all year I would be a happy camper too.

I was one of those nut jobs walking in a T-shirt on Thursday. We had record warmth that day one of
    several including today.

My self imposed chore for today is editing a bunch of the Chandu the magician episodes into 1.5 hour long mp3s.
It is a long serial Old Time Radio Show from the 40s.
Currently they each run 15 minutes each and then add in the advertising at start and a recap of the previous days episode
and the advertising at the end adding up to 3.5 minutes and I either have to listen to them or pull the iPod Nano out of the
inside shirt pocket and skip to the next one and then scroll past the beginning which is a nuisance :)

    Have a Great upcoming week

Beautiful again today when the sun was out. Went for another walk around the neighborhood. My legs are still not back to normal, but it was ok at a sort of slow pace. I don't mind the quiet when I walk...gives my mind a chance to wander too. :)

    Hi all

    Thanks, E.

Roger, definitely low sodium V8 I've been using the food entry here and everything but carbs and sugars stay under the limit. I'm eating high fiber so that messes up the carbs to a certain extent and the sugars are because of the fruits. Raisins in Raisin Bran and fruit cups. They're both just a tad over.

Walked a whole .2 miles. Took 90lb dog so did a lot more work controlling him than walking. He's well trained - was able to do it before the neurological problems and having to relearn how to walk - but his first walk in *ages* so he was super excited and wanted to walk our old pace.

I guess if we had this weather year around it wouldn't be too bad. I do like to use my space heater once or twice a year though.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning.
Lynmar, glad you're out and about with the pups.
It's supposed to cool off here this week.
Off to the gym and a PT sessions this morning.
I have been doing high fiber too....but mostly veges and fruits...it does go heavy on the carbs, but seems to be helping. :)
Morning Roger, enjoy the weather while you can. :)
Kel, hope you had a nice holiday, not too stressful!
Have a great day, everyone. :)

The clouds never did clear up Sunday for me. I hope Your weather looked better.
The Legs will come back. It took me a while to get any range when I started walking.

.2 miles is a start :) Nice that You were able to take the Dog out again.

High fiber often does have that effect.

I'm being brief as I need to get going. I'll be busy when I get back from the walk.

    Have a good week

    Hi all.

Neighbor coming over to help me clean the house later today. I loaned him some money and said he could work it off.

It's a little cooler here too. Thanks for the encouragement, Roger. I'm really glad I was able to get some PT, it is helping a lot. I'm happy I'm not limping anymore, and today they worked on my neck a bit.
Lynmar, good that you can get some help with house cleaning. I recently hired someone to come in once a month. I can handle the maintenance, but nice to have someone to do the heavier work.
Chilly and gray today. Good day to get errands done.
    Keep smiling, everyone. :)

    Hi Lynmar
I was a bit worried about today's weather when I went onto the porch last night to bring in the mail and
I could hear little ice pellets hitting, However it is rainy and windy outside currently :(
The rain is supposed to be over later on so I think I will walk up to the post office and bank after my
noontime food. I found 26 cents Sunday while walking a different road than I usually take, that could be why.

So as You can see You are having better weather than I :)

That is one way to get cleaning done as long as You can spare the money.

    Have a Good Tuesday

    Hi Vix
Good news regarding the PT working, I know You were doing a happy dance.

I think we will be OK once we get the kitchen floor changed, I am pulling up the old surface piecemeal.
Then with a nice flat surface and no grout lines it will be a much easier cleanup.

    Cheers

    Good morning!
What kind of flooring are you puting in your kitchen, Roger? We did the same in our old house because the tiles were too hard to clean...replaced it with Pergo...much easier.
Foggy again this morning, also a little chillier than yesterday, but still nice for the winter!
Have a great day, everyone. :)

    Hi Vix
We have been looking at the Laminates that are a easy install where they interlock and are
free floating on a pad underneath. That is down the road. Once the Old tiles are removed I will still need to riddle
the floor with screws to remove all the squeaks it has. Either that or remove the plywood that was put under the tile,
screw down the planks of the subfloor and go from there.

Light fog this morning, .5 mile visibility in a nearby town according to the weatherman. It was a little cooler
but more comfortable walking as there was no wind.

    Have a good day
    Roger

Ah, we had to do that in our old house too....lots of squeaking! The free floating interlocking laminate is what we used too. Some of the corners were a little difficult, but otherwise not too bad to install. It's a lot of work to get the tile up and get everything cleaned, nailed down, and ready. But a worthwhile project. :)

    Hi all

Just a short "hi" since I'm about to go to sleep even though I'm fighting it.

WAtered the plants since we had a 10% chance of rain and then it poured.

Heat index 84 at 10:20. Extended forecast looks good.

Tomorrow pick up groceries at Walmart "drive through". I'll let you know how it goes.

E, I'm glad your PUTs helping.

    Take care.

    Hi.

In case I don't make it in tomorrow. Happy New Year! Expecting to have at least two dogs spend the night in bed with me. Will need to catch up on my sleep after they get up for the morning. This is the only time I wish I had small dogs instead of the 60s, 90 and 120 pounders and a double bed.

    Have a good day!
