I'm thinking I may be at my goal weight...ultimately I wanted to get down to 150 but I haven't lost any weight since April. Well, I take that back, I got down to 179.8 on May 4 but I've been bouncing around the 185 mark all along. My logging is non-existent and I know I don't follow low carb as closely as I had been at the beginning. I'm fine maintaining through the summer I think. I do exercise most days. I feel pretty good in my size 10 pants and medium shirts. I do have quite a bit of loose skin but that's from weighing almost 300 pounds before I underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2008. That will never go away without surgery. I was able to get down to 160 after surgery but that weight slowly crept back because...well...life. I'm ashamed I let myself get back up to 234. I didn't want to be one of "them people" that has surgery and then gains all the weight back.
Today's weight - 180.6
53.4 pound loss since starting LC August 2015

I haven't been sneaking carbs as much this last week and I've been more consistently exercising. I've been taking my 120# Neapolitan Mastiff for a 2+ mile walk in the morning instead of getting on the treadmill and she LOVES it. And even though it's a pain when she has to keep stopping to sniff and poop, it nice to be outside and I can pick a different route so I have a change of scenery. Shark week is due next week AND I'm going to be at a motorcycle rally over the 4th of July weekend. I plan to stick to low-carb as much as possible, but with only food vendors to choose from, I have already decided I will indulge, but not to the extent I have in the past. I will choose low-carb foods as often as possible, but I'm also not planning to deny myself some yummies. Oh, and much alcohol will be consumed! My drink of choice this year will be "summer hummer" which is lime vodka and orange juice but I will be taking the orange sunrise flavored packets of generic crystal light to mix with water instead of high sugar orange juice. Oh, and probably Bud Select 55 since that is pretty low carb. I will weigh in next week before it's off on the bike, but most likely will NOT weigh in on July 6!
Have a great day everyone!
Today's weight - 180.8 (+.2)
53.2 pound loss since starting LC August 2015

Shark week this week. I woke up Monday morning gat 185.2 so I'm happy for the 180.8 reading this morning.
Today's weight - 180.8 (stayed the same)
53.2 pound loss since starting LC August 2015
Height 5'7
I'm more than happy with this weight considering all of the adult beverages that I consumed this weekend. I honestly had no intention of staying low-carb. My eating was ok....it was all the damn alcohol I drank but I don't regret it. I've been eating decent since Monday and I'm extremely happy I wasn't actually about 185 when I weighed in yesterday morning. I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. My goal for the summer is till to maintain in the low-mid 180's. I'll start trying to actually lose again this fall when all of my fun summer plans are done.
Today's weight - 184.0
Looks like it's been a while since I did a weigh-in...mostly because I've been a real slacker this summer. But like I said before, if I can maintain through the summer in the mid-180's I'm calling that a victory. I was at an outdoor country music festival last week and when I left on Thursday I weighed 183. After a weekend of eating way off plan and drinking way too much beer, I was 187.6 on Monday. Totally expected. Also, it ended up being shark week. The 184 number on the scale this morning is a welcome site after seeing Monday's number. I also broke up with my long-term boyfriend at the end of June so that has added some extra stress in my life. He's living with me and has not found a new place to live yet. I'm getting very anxious for him to move so I can move on with living my life!
Height 5'7"
Goal weight - not sure yet but I'd like to be a normal BMI. I think that's like 165 at the high end.
Have a great day everyone. Low carb rocks!!! Now...if I can just get rid of these carb cravings I've been having, I'll be good to go!3 -

4.2lb down from last week, a little much for my preferences (I prefer to lose 1-2lb) and a complete surprise honestly, but sometimes you gotta go with it. I even weighed myself on the professional medical scale at work and weighed a little less later that evening but I did just get done bicycling to work so I just assume my home scale was accurate. If its a trend that continues I'll have to up calorie intake, which isn't a bad thing yeah?9 -

GW. 130. New goal weight
Been stalled at 140-ish. For a couple weeks. Gathering mental strength for another disciplined push. Need to increase exercise. Have been eating closer to maintenance 1150 calories. Got to drop it to 1050 again. Looking forward to getting rid of some of the belly fat.6 -
Starting weight (5/25/16): 301.7 lbs
Week 8 weight: 288.7 lbs
Week 9 weight: 287.4 lbs (-1.3 lbs)
Total Lost: 14.3 lbs
Next goal... get into the 280's...
Had a great week. I got a fitbit and I've been slowly working my way up... set my first goal at 1500 steps and got a short walk in 6/7 days last week, averaged over 2000 steps a day, so I've upped my goal to 2000 steps this week. I think that increased my hunger, so although I kept my net carbs around 30/day, my calories were up around the 1800-2000 calorie range from 1200-1400 calories the week before. But I still had a fantastic loss this week, so I think it's a good change adding more activity in. My husband and I were talking about it, and we realized it's been SIX YEARS since I've had any regular exercise because I'm one of those all or nothing people and everytime I'd start my old SI joint injury would flare up and I'd be right back to square one... I'm trying SO hard to be patient, take it slow, take a rest day if I get twingey, and hopefully I won't have any bad flare ups.
I'm in PMS week right now, so hunger is still pretty high and cravings are increasing... Ugh... Just taking it one minute at a time.

6/22- 155.1
6/29- 152.3
Still dropping faster than I'd like, even after pushing the kcals up to 1700 per day, and having a couple of notably higher days during food prep.
6/29 - 152.3
7/6 - 151.2
Going to let it ride for one more week and adjust to slow down as needed.
7/6 - 151.2
7/13 - 151.9
About what I was hoping to see this week, though well within a margin of error either way. Going to see how the trend runs over the next two months, making slight adjustments every couple of weeks.
7/13 - 151.9
7/20 - 151.5
Getting pretty static, and I'm seeing about what I would expect. Going to hold this caloric level (1700) for another couple of weeks and see how it runs.
7/20 - 151.5
7/27 - 151.2
Still running well within the expected range, and seeing extremely low variance during daily weigh-ins.
7/27 - 151.2
8/3 - 150.1
Welp, time to average and adjust upward.2 -

Hello! I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. I'm still progressing, though not as fast as I was when I first started. But I'm okay with that because I'm still losing and I feel better than I have in a decade! I'm almost to my high school weight, which was 250, and then I'll be on my way to 200 lbs! A weight I haven't been since I was 10 years old. So yay!

I actually weigh daily. It helps me keep accountable to myself. The second goal is my planned keto "bulk", after I kill the fat, that involves a lot of pick things up and put them down. I know my lean mass (148 lbs) due to regular bod pod readings, so BF% is more my true goal than an actual weight.
6/15 - 208.6 lbs - 28.6% BF
6/22 - 208.0 lbs - 28.3%
6/29 - 205.9 lbs - 27.6% BF
7/6 - 204.2 - 27% BF (149 lbs lean mass)
I actually say 203.2 earlier this week, but I think I am holding a bit of stress weight from a couple of awful days at the office.
7/13 - 200.8 - 25.7% BF (149 lbs lean mass)
GW: 170ish - ~10% BF
Still cruising along with the fat loss. Its about time for another BodPod measurement to get updated numbers and make sure my lean number is still accurate.
7/20 - 198.2 (onederland!!) - 25.8% be (147 lbs of lean mass per body pod yesterday)
7/27 - 199.8 - 26.4% BF - Bit of a rebound, had a couple carby meals this week, with one last night, so there may be some water retention.
8/3 - 197.6 - 25.6% BF (147lbs lean) - Back on the loss train, although, I do keep bouncing around the 197 mark, maybe it's another one of my body's "set points". I had one at 210 until I finally broke through after a month.4 -

I went on vacation this past weekend and had a couple little oopsie bites, but nothing excessive. Mostly, I didn't drink enough water. Today, my body had a woosh and let go of some water, so I weighed myself when I got home from work and there was my weight drop!5 -
Starting weight (5/25/16): 301.7 lbs
Week 9 weight: 287.4 lbs
Week 10 weight: 284.4 lbs (-3 lbs!!)
Total Lost: 17.3 lbs
So today's weigh in totally took me by surprise... I woke up feeling PMS, bloated, and my back has been bothering me the last couple days so I was sure the inflamation would cause a gain... I seriously steeled myself for a HUGE gain, even though I had been on point eating keto and had increased my water because I FELT so huge this morning. My period literally started just before I weighed myself this morning too. That 3 lb whoosh was an AMAZING feeling, especially since I'm 10 weeks in...
The one thing I did differently this week is I stopped logging every little gram of food I eat and started mentally calculating net carbs, giving myself about 10 net carbs/meal and up to 40 net carbs over the course of the day... I decided it was time to *kitten* into "keto for life" mode and stop logging like I was on a diet... I'm wondering if I've naturally been eating less or more... who knows... what I do know is that I'm eating intuitively and feeling very satisfied and mentally calm...7 -

Down 1.2lbs since last week which is a surprise tbh because we had a family birthday party this week so I had cake and chocolate.5 -
I know I weighed in less than a week ago, but I wanted to share again because I HIT 30 LBS! 30.9, actually which puts me at 298.1. I was ashamed that my weight the gotten so high, but in truth, I was trying very unsuccessfully to lose weight before I got there. Each failed diet propelled my weight higher with me getting more and more panicked and depressed bc I should just eat less, and I'll lose weight, right? Yeah, on 800cal a day I slowly lose a pound here and there and I'm so lethargic and sick that I can't function day to day. This woe is my life now and I'm so happy I've been introduced to it. So I'm going to go eat some bacon for breakfast bc I can and enjoy being back into the 200s and work my *kitten* off on my way to onederland.12
