I suggest that you start cutting down on carbs and processed foods if you haven't already.

Today I am prepping for the challenge by cleaning up my macros! I have been craving carbs lately and I need to get that under control.
I will go shopping today and start meal planning. What are some of your favorite foods?
My favorite go to foods for a quick snack are fat bombs, macadamia nuts and Parmesan cheese crisps!

Mary Great timing! I stopped participating in the Feb challenge because of traveling to see our newborn granddaughter and am just now getting back into low carb. Yesterday - 31g net carbs and feeling good today! Thanks for starting this challenge.

Hello everyone! Glad that there are others interested in tightening up their diet and lifestyle a little bit. This thread is mainly for motivation and support. I will be posting daily and coming up with some type of suggestion for the day. Today we are just gathering interested people. I hope we will have a fun four weeks together!

Challenge Guidelines
The purpose of this thread is for motivation and support for the next four weeks. It is suggested that you check in daily with your needs or to support others. Most people do better when they are in a challenge because of the support of others trying to accomplish the same goals.
1. Introduce yourself and tell us what you would like to be called.
2. If you have goals that you would like to share please list them.
3. Suggestion is to take measurements and weight which will be evidence of your success.
4. Ask questions if you are new to Keto /LC eating style.
5. I listed several sites that have a lot of information for your reading pleasure. The two that I like the most have to do with recipes and pictures of low-carb meals from fellow MFP'ers.
6. If you are having an issue let us know immediately so that we can support you. I check this site every couple of hours. You can also PM me with any problems that you need immediate help with.
I am excited to start this challenge on Sunday and get my mind and body focused on tightening up my carbs, calories and exercise! I am excited that you have chosen to take this journey with me and the other people that are joining in. We are going to accomplish our goals together!

If you are new to this way of eating there are a few links that have food suggestions and other information that will be very helpful for your transition into this way of eating. Please read them or ask questions of people on here. I will check in here often or you can send me a personal message anytime you want to. I am also having a difficult time with carb cravings since I did a curb re-feed on Easter weekend. UGG I can't stop them from creeping into my mind! I know that we can accomplish great things together!

Good morning everyone! I started this thread so that we could work together to reach our goals and get support and motivation from each other. I am a carb addict and my name is Mary...
My goals for this challenge are;
Eat around 5% carbs, 20% protein, 75% fat
Lose 5-10 pounds of fat
Drink a lot of water
Move more and sit less
My favorite way to exercise is weight lifting and swinging the Kettlebell.
I live in northern Minnesota so the weather is just starting to warm up enough to get outside!
One more day before our challenge begins! Make sure you have food and snacks ready to go. On the recipe link I posted there are great food ideas even LC deserts for those with a sweet tooth! I have my macadamia nuts and cheese crisps stocked and ready to go!
