Panicked the other day because my belt is a bit on the tight side. Then I realized when I dressed I put in the next never used hole and did not notice it until after I had lunch.14

I can wear my wedding ring again...It's been over 5 years since I've worn it.16

I've been wearing 34 pants for over a year but have kept a pair of 36's in the closet just in case. I think it's time to get rid of those suckers.13

Today I am wearing my Deadpool leggings under my dress...they are baggy...leggings are not supposed to be baggy, but I'll take it and they will still keep me warm!!!11

Yesterday I bought XL leggings at Walmart and when i came home they were TOO BIG. Best feeling ever.9

This morning I confirmed with my DC of 18 years that I do have movement in joints that have not moved in the past 18 years due to the self fusing nature of Ankylosis Spondylitis. I have been keto/lchf for over three years now. To test reports that high levels of D3/K2 can lower Coronary Calcium Scores I boosted my levels of both to an extreme but it will be at least May before I get another CAC and I was wondering it it would have an impact to calcium deposits on the outside of my joints. I just hope the external calcium deposits are clearing the body and not creating damage elsewhere. N=1 one studies can be stressful but I am excited at this point. The next CAC scoring will tell the tell.12

Ooh, @GaleHawkins - I can't wait to see these results. I know what I'm expecting to see, so this is a fun one.0

I liked my body today. I was doing a seated twist with a mirror behind me, and when I saw my reflection over my shoulder I thought, “Hey, that looks good!” Not tolerable; not strategically concealing my flaws; not okay for someone my size; just actually...good.
Next goal is to feel that way from another angle, then another.10 -
Good luck Gale! Your story has been inspiring to me. Would love to see you add another chapter of success!2

Me too! I hope you share your results and that they are even better than hoped for!
Good luck!1 -
My scale is about to get itself thrown out the window. However, I did put on a pair of jeans and a rather form fitting long sleeved shirt yesterday without fear of a muffin top. WOOT!11

I am diabetic and by eating lower carb I have gotten off insulin and A1c after 6 months without insulin was 6.7%. My goal for this year is very low carb/ keto and get A1c under 5 with no medications.10

I'm looking forward to your results on this, and I always appreciate your updates. Someone very close to me has Ankylosis Spondylitis so any good ways to fight that are always appreciated.2 -
I lost my dog food hip!!
I buy my dog food in 12.5 lb bags once a month. Today I picked up dog food. I put it on my hip to carry it to the car.....today I rested the bag on my hip and it fell down.....
I no longer have a hip shelf!

10 Inches off my hips make a difference

Love this thread!
2 NSVs: Someone took a photo of me with my girls last weekend, and when I saw it, I noticed how thin my face looked and how that made me seem thinner all over. (I was only showing from the waist up in the photo.)
Second NSV: I have been off all NSAIDs for 3 months, where I used to take Advil or Alene daily. (My mom had a scary incident throwing up blood and had to be hospitalized a few months ago—turns out she had an ulcer, and frequent NSAID use was a contributing factor.)
My joint and muscle pain used to be so bad it would keep me up at night, even with NSAIDs. Now it’s either nonexistent or mild enough that I don’t need to take any medication at all. A side benefit to being unmedicated: my prior overuse of anti-inflammatories was likely masking some other things, like headaches, post-workout muscle pain, menstrual symptoms, etc. Now I have a clear “radar screen” for what is happening in my body.14 -

I’ve saved just a few clothes from before I was pregnant. My son is about to turn six, and in that time I’ve tried to be realistic and let go and give things away, but there were a few exercise clothes that weren’t in the way, and a handful of dresses that are just too pretty to say goodbye to.
The other day I decided to just see, and they fit. I had some room to spare. The scale tells me I’m almost 10 lbs heavier than I was the last time I wore those things, but apparently that whole “Maybe it’s muscle” thing is true once in a blue moon.
I so know what I’m wearing to the family wedding next weekend....5 -
I had to go through everything in my wardrobe last week and everything stored away in another wardrobe (or two!). I decided to try everything and I mean everything on even if I thought; no way will I get into this. What do you know I can get into everything and it all fits more than nicely. I have a huge amount of stuff that's gone to charity/thrift shops and an entire wardrobe of 'old' but what feel like 'new' clothes. Also I am totally sure I am heavier than when I last wore these and let me tell you it ain't muscle, it must just be shape change with this diet. Whatever it is I like the effect and the amount it has saved me in new clothes! Just so long as I don't think oooh, there is space in the wardrobe maybe I need something new..............10

I love this! I did the same thing a few days ago, and had a very similar experience!! Feels great hey?? Wahooooo3 -
I've reached a point on this journey where I've had some big overall successes and also setbacks; and, I'd say I'm at about 15% navigating into the mystery that is maintenance. ..and I feel Iike I've reached a point where I feel more secure about being able to prevent my usual Yoyo swingback.
I've gained some real skills and I think going forward that all my due diligence on this MFP site is paying off right now in a quality of life that has truly improved...even without always doing everything right.
There is a learning curve to changing up from a disordered eating style to a healthy one. It's a lot of going back and forth, a lot of honest logging and weighing and dealing with progress or setback on a daily basis.
I also feel that more and more of my attention can be focused on something other than this albatross subject of losing weight. Like fun and friends and hobbies. I feel like the obsessive thinking is receding, and my mind is freer to think about other, more interesting things.
After 3 years at this...I think I've got a real grip on it.
I think it's doable and that I will be successful long term. I'm not sure I've ever really felt this way before.
That feels pretty good.12 -
Blood glucose reading yesterday before exercise of 87 mg/dL . finally something in "Normal" range.
Morning glucose reading was 108 today, where mornings have typically been in the 120's9 -
@chinatowninchina congrats! I'm not there yet, but can't wait until it's time to clear out all the "too big" clothes!

@catherineg3 thanks and you will, you will and to be honest I didn't think I was until I started to try things on!1

Yesterday I noticed that my body looked and felt a bit smaller. No change on the scale for some reason, but a lot of water release over the previous day.
I had been bummed by the scale, but then noticed the size change and that made me feel great!!
Good to pay attention to those NSVs. They help keep my head in the game.6 -
Picture on the left is September when I was 240, picture on the right is today at 198. Definitely some changes to see12
