I had a very good day today...Because I planned everything out! Thank you @cyndiesstuff I am doing the same for tomorrow. Tomorrow I will head to the shore after work. It is a big weekend, Polar Bear Plunge. It is bigger than the summer holidays so I want to get down before the traffic and go shopping. Thursday will be ok, my daughter and her husband are heading down too. Friday DAY will be good, then everyone will start to arrive. We do have dinner plans Saturday but I am going to eat breakfast and lunch everyday at home. Usually everyone hangs at the bars and eats bar food but I am not this weekend. The weather is supposed to be bad so I am not sure about exercise. I will probably end up doing my Leslie sansone videos. I don't think I knew about them this summer . Well, I got to go, I need to plan tomorrow and I am getting tired. I will check in quick tomorrow then I have a lot of scheduling for work to do then to my friends so she can show me the technical things. After that I am coming home to grab Daisy and off we go!
@kirsten11872 It is nice to hear from you! I know you have been where you want to be and you can be there again. You know what to do. Get right back on track and you can do this!
@cyndiesstuff You are so right. I need to do this for myself. No matter what gets in the way. I did have a good day today.
@carlssoda I know you can create a yummy dessert that would fit your plan. Enjoy your birthday weekend! Did I miss your steps for 2/13?
@nstephenson01 You must have so much snow on the ground. Glad you could take a day to rest.
@ljdanny
@twyla77 I was the same way in January, I was so good through the holidays and then blah...It could be because you are getting over being sick. Hope you can jump back on track soon. Don't let too much time go by but also don't push yourself if you aren't fully recovered. We also need your steps for 2/8 . They post early on Sunday so if you could check in before for the rest of the week that would be awesome.
@ljdanny One day they will realize that we do know what we are talking about Lol! I was trying to remember...didn't your husband used to get up early with you and go to the gym? but then his schedule changed and you kept it up? Maybe you are motivating him? Those water bottles are great, there are so many out there. What a great idea!
@ihp2015 Love it! I want to make one of those! I can't draw so @MrsBell8wells is out and I am not good on the computer. I would screenshot yours but I need more stars! Lol!
@phoebe112476 Love the pic! Where is that? At Universal? Sounds like you are doing well on your trip! I am so glad everyone is feeling better too.4 -

i was having a good day yesterday. i drank my water, listened to my podcasts, got my steps in, made my 24 hour plan. came home for dinner. and i started grazing while i was making dinner. it was left over nite. so i just had to reheat stuff. the grazing turned into eating more than i should. that was when my mind frame changed. and ED took over. what i learned was to sit while eating number one. that was the first rule i broke. number two was no munching while cooking dinner. and number three, as always, tell ED to shut to hell up. i am glad it happened. i learned from it. next time it will be easier.
and i love the weight loss this week. i have been working really hard. it is getting easier tho. i am so proud of myself for working on getting my head straight. i love that new cyndie girl! she is alright.
@twyla77 i am so glad your ok. i thought we had lost you. i know how hard it is to break that downward spiral. baby steps. make a 24 hour plan. what can you do in the next 24 hours that you can feel good about. start back small with little wins. they will add up to momentum soon. you can do this twyla. i believe in you.
@phoebe112476 and thank you for turning me on to phit n phat. it is really helping me a lot. see i knew how to lose weight. i have done it a million times before. i need to learn how to keep it off. and that is what corinne is helping me learn how to do. i am glad you all are feeling better. to know when i am full, i make a fist and put it by where my stomach is. your fist is the size of your stomach. and while your doing that really think about the size of your stomach and the food you are currently putting in it. sometimes it really helps to visualize it. and it is really hard to throw away food. but you would be waisting it if you ate it to. by the way... you look so cute in that pic!!
@sleepymom5 have you been reading your book and listening to the podcast? it is really important head work. it also provides great motivation. write down your weekend plan. something about putting it down on paper really makes it a commitment. then you can look at it thru the weekend to help you stay on track. and still make the 24 hour plan that will keep you focused on the now. and above all have fun while you learn how to live with out OVER indulging. and good job on creating a good day yesterday. you did it girl.
@bbcbw nice loss for you this week. how are your doing? how is your plan going?5 -

Good day yesterday, because I planned. Today I loosely planned but a lot depends on work. Hoping for another good day.....Got to run. I will check in tonight when I am settled at the shore. I am going to say I am tired (which probably won't be a lie) so I don't go out. Tomorrow should be good too...I will make a better plan for the weekend when I am down there. Gtg!
@bbcbw Nice loss! Hope it is going well!
@cyndiesstuff First of all, nice loss this week! Tell ED he can take that and shove it up his kitten (I will save MFP the work ) . That no standing rule is just so spot on, usually when I am standing is when I am eating what I shouldn't. I have an issue when I am hungry and preparing dinner. I am thinking of having some raw veggies around when I cook, if I am using them or not. The crunch and the chewing hopefully will satisfy me enough to get through. I need to do better with the schedule and schedule in the book. I carry it around to read "later" and then I don't get to it. I also love the podcast but have problems advancing to the next one. It would be great for the carride to the shore and if I get to walk on the beach. I am going to grab Shannon to help me. They really help with my frame of mind. This job is so weird too. I feel like I am always not done even though I have until the end of April to finish. It is like just hanging over my head, I need to work my hours and not think about it until I work again. Ugh.....
@eminater Awesome steps! Great job with the challenge too!

I think MFP is having some issues. On my computer at work I have no home screen - won't load. And lately when I post steps at night on my iPad, it's not posting even though it's showing it did. Frustrating but hey it's a free app, what can I say!
Also, can I change my WI date from Monday to Friday? Please? I think posting my weight on a Friday may be more motivating for me to stay strong over the weekend. I at least want to give it a try!3 -

@twyla77 I am afraid of getting into your situation. I don't particularly like races but if I sign up for one it keeps me training and running. I just signed up for a 5k trail run for March 16th. That is the same week that I will be through with my 10 week C25K training. I just watched a great documentary "the human race". It is inspiring me. I have historically had problems with my right knee and my lower back. All the yoga and pacing myself with my running program have really made a difference. I seem to be in good shape. Maybe signing up or putting a date on the calendar an event that would require you to be in shape. Bike event, hiking etc.
@phoebe112476 I am so glad everyone is feeling better. Those pants your wearing look pretty baggie .
@cyndiesstuff what ever your doing it's working! Especially the positive attitude and new Cyndie. I liked the old one too but I think the new one is a kinder version. At least she is to you.
@shirin_k great job girl! Almost in the 50's!!!
@bbcbw congrats on your loss!

Been on track for a couple days but the scale is not reflecting it. Sorry team... I'm not helping our percentages. I'm now up 2 pounds this month when my goal was to lose 4. Just call it Failure February. Trying to hold on by my fingernails until better weather arrives. Even the news is calling it the winter that will never end. Woke to more snow this morning and more predicted tonight. Off to shovel...4 -

So yesterday about 2pm I started feeling a headache coming on. I have not had one in a good while. By 5:30 pm I could barely make it home. By 6 pm I crawled into bed in a dark room and did my best to ride it out. My head was covered in peppermint oil. Again suffered through with no meds but it is scary. I am never sure how I am going to survive. By 8:30pm I was able to get myself into a hot bath. That always helps to soak in Epsom salts. I considered doing my yoga and finishing up my steps but that just seemed too extreme even for me. It was still a rough morning but so much better. I slept 8 hours. Had a green smoothie for breakfast. I was so nauseated I am afraid to eat. As I was laying still under the covers I had the tiniest thought creep in "oh, I bet I am losing weight" haha...always the addict looking at the bright side of illness. Yes I did lose weight. I was 156.4 this morning. Not sure the last time I was that low. Interesting since that was my goal for yesterday. I knew it was coming. I really have to do a lot of talking to allow myself to continue to lose. Somehow assuring myself that it is ok drop to the bottom of the 150"s makes a difference. I went through this same mental issue at 168. I have been so looking forward to being at the 45 pound loss mark. I am there now. @ihp2015 you are where I was on July 11th, 2018. It can be done! Good luck.
I am still feeling a little fragile this morning. Molly is taking me to lunch for Valentines day. They make great vegan soups. I am also hoping to get my energy back up for an afternoon run.
Molly and I are leaving Saturday until Monday for a romantic getaway to her sister's country home. I would really rather stay home. Supposed to snow. But we always force ourselves to carve out special time when we can. We will definitely go and we always enjoy ourselves immensely.
And now I know for sure those raspberry pants are going to fit great. I will send a pic.5 -

@cyndiesstuff @Mrsbell8well @sleepymom5 thank you. Honestly im not doing well at all. If the scale is moving its just because of IF and breastfeeding. But i set very realistic monthly goals for me and by far i have met them successfully. I have to work on my snacking.3
-
@eminater great job on getting in those steps and working the challenge. look at the new you go!!
@Shirin_K thanks for checking in!! and that is a great loss. good job and sticking to your plan. consistency sure does help.
@sleepymom5 lol, mfp changes swear words to kitten. so funny. good idea about the veggies I think I will try that. I have my book with me at all times, just in case I get in the mood. lol. and also there is a good chapter in there about saying no to off plan eating I like to read. it is really hard to be done for the day on a job that isn't finished. I know exactly what you are say.
@carlsoda yeah, mfp sure does have some glitches some times. but like you say, it is a free site. I will ask the powers that be to change your weigh in day. it's no problem, I will let you know when it is done.
@Mrsbell8well I am doing a ton of head work. I don't know if I will be successful forever but I know I can be successful today. after all, it is just one day. do you think the headache was trigger by the whole scale thing? seems kind of coincidental. some times you just need a break. breaks are not bad as long as the break is not a free for all. you have been working so hard. I think you really deserve a little rest. this weekend couldn't have come at a better time.

@bbcbw snacking is a hard one. how many snacks to you eat a day? lets say you eat 4 usually. so then this week you make it a commitment to only eat three, then next week you only eat two. make it totally doable. do you write out a 24 hour food plan? I always make a 24 hour food plan for the next day. it is part of my morning routine. I get up, do mfp, and then make my 24 hour plan for tomorrow. this way, the cyndie that is in control makes the plan in advance. and doesn't leave it up to the cyndie tomorrow who wants to have 10 snacks.6

Not much of a loss this week but it's a loss and I'll take it. I really didn't expect anything with the weekend of cheats I had. We have Valentine's day parties going on all over the school and I managed to have a couple of cheese and crackers and a parent made a special chocolate chip cookie using almond milk and such because her child has allergies. This cookie fits into my diet so I gave it a try and it was actually pretty good and I only ate 1 go me. I also didn't eat my own snacks that I brought today, so I think that's a huge plus for me. I was actually looking for the veggies to be honest but there was none, can you believe it. The afternoon party will have some so maybe I can snag a few. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!3

@ljdanny dont minimize that loss girl! with the week of stress you had, that is awesome. you keep passing on the cookies and eating veggies. you are doing great. and yes, for sure, go you!!!3

@cyndiesstuff Oh those headaches are so nasty. If you look at the diet protocols on what to avoid...I avoid all things that should trigger it. That's why they are particularly annoying. The scale is stressful for sure. Yesterday we had big wigs at work helping to pack up this branch getting ready for closing...so that is somewhat stressful, we are using a ventless gas fireplace...that caused headaches for the previous owner, I can feel that my intestines seem off the last few days...Maybe any of these could be a cause. I also had a smoothie with spirulina and barley extract. They are known to detox and cleanse heavy metals out of the system...so perhaps that is what is going on??? It is similar to a caffeine withdrawal when they hit. I will probably do a juice cleanse in the next week to see if that helps. They scare me when they hit. Overall I am not a stressed out person. I usually handle stress pretty well. But who knows. The peppermint oil and laying still are my best treatments along with a hot bath. I made a vow to myself to not let it get that bad before I leave work.
on a brighter note...Great job on all your successes this week! Your very inspiring and a great captain!!! You too @sleepymom5.
One of the moderators mentioned how helpful it is to log often. I agree. Sometimes I use this as more of a journaling tool that is interactive. It really helps me to have such a great support system. Sometimes I feel a bit "hoggish" on how much space I use here...but it really works for me to be so accountable. I encourage everyone to be as active as they can.3 -
@Mrsbell8well
I feel for you about the headaches. I used to get migraines a couple times a month, had one last ten days! It was awful and nothing really helped. It has been a few years since the last one and i am soooooooo glad! Being retired and not having job stress has helped I guess.
@ljdanny
It is so frustrating when kids don't want to believe what you tell them. But they will think you are much smarter when they grow up. Mine actually started taking my advice after turning 30 I think. It really is funny when you think back on it years later. But they need to go through the denial stage to learn. And when they start raising their kids the way you did with them it's a nice pat on the back for you.3
