1km!
back in the pool after 2 weeks (had hair coloured and didn't want to leak dye into the pool)1 -
4 miles today and yesterday.
Had 3 days away from swimming before yesterday so I pushed hard.
Had a personal best sustained pace of 1:47/100yrd and best Mile time of 31:21.
My wife is now up to 2 miles plus her 1 hour deep water aerobics class.2 -
I swam for an hour, then class. It was a pretty good session, considering that what I wanted to do was just go home and have a G&T. I had been sitting most of the day and I was just so tired. I knew I'd feel better if I went, but it's not easy to get going.1

Today: 1/2 mile = 900 Yd @ 25 minutes1

4 miles this morning.
My wife did 40 laps before depo water aerobics and another 40 laps after.
A new record for her.1 -
Slow slog today. I lifted before and knew that I had a challenging deep water class an hour after lifting.1

1.5 miles before the deep water class. It was a slow start, but once I got going, it got better. I came home ravenous though...1

2km
longest swim in a fair while!
Barely got a length underwater and could only really do 125m at pace before dying. Looking forward to working back up to 'awesome' hehe2 -
Another short slog. I knew that it was going to be a long and active week. And that I'm not up for that. So I drove to the pool in the slow lane to kill a little time... And I got ready slowly. That left me about 30 min to swim before the class. I didn't have any more in me. And I'm lifting today, and I'm already tired. Tomorrow's a rest day.1

Swim lesson today. Struggling with getting high elbow with freestyle and doing dolphin kick with weak abs. But still trying.1

Finally made it into the lap lane after a week. I ran out of time, so just short of a mile, but the longer I swam, the better it felt. Today should be good. It's going to be 80F and it's Friday, so that usually drives people outside. Hoping for a good long swim...1
-
Yay. I was right. 1.5 miles, and had the lane to myself the entire time1
-
2.5km soooo tired after 2km. Gotta work my endurance back up!0

Swam Thursday afternoon. Was getting muscle cramps again beginning about 10 days ago. I brought diet tonic water back into my routine--half a cup a few times a day. The smart people say no studies support its use for muscle cramps, but it seems to be working. Even if it's just a placebo effect, It's worth $0.99 a bottle.
I could even swim butterfly fifty minutes into my swim without cramps. I also don't have muscle cramps at night--I hope that lasts.0 -
@kayak4water my neighbor swears by the stuff. I have no idea since I don't get muscle cramps, but she says that if she doesn't drink it, there are nights that she simply can't sleep.
No I can't swim the butterfly no matter what I eat or drink. Unless it's some kind of magic potion0 -
Today: 2 miles @ 104 minutes1

A good, long swim on Friday after lifting weights. I had a lane to myself and finally felt like "a swimmer." It's only taken me 4+ years...1
-
Short swim before class. I had a pretty active weekend, so it felt good to get stretched out. Everything felt tight and short. Swimming makes me feel long and flexible. I'm pretty sure I've grown about an inch when I get out.0
