    Goals:
    1 - 11,000 steps per day - Yes 20,515!!!!!
    2 - No Late Night Snacking 5 out 7 days - 2/5 No. Such a problem for me.
    3 - Exercise 5 days 3/5 Yes!!!!! Morning walk and exercised after work.

    HAD A GREAT VISIT WITH THE SOCIAL WORKER TODAY.... I WILL SHARE WITH YOU TOMORROW MORNING WHAT WE CAME UP WITH... SO THERE WILL BE MAJOR CHANGES COMING FOR ME AND NEW STRATEGIES THAT SHOULD BE BETTER FOR ME. I AM GOING TO BE SELFISH AND MY JOURNEY NOW BECOMES MY NEW NORMAL...     Water 80+ ounces (even though they disconnected the chip ice machine)

    Sleep: 6 hours 37 minutes
    Additional exercise: packing boxes and thoroughly cleaning the break room and refrigerators at work plus dancing with the kids at vacation Bible school.

    Thursday goals:
    Water: 80 +ounces
    Steps: 10506
    Sleep: 5 hours 19 minutes
    Additional exercise: moved furniture at my own house and 30 minute in my new kayak.

    @Fitness327wk ... SOME OF THOSE SOUPS LOOK GOOD ... I HAVE DONE THE CABBAGE PATCH SOUP DIET AND IT DOES TRULY WORK (PRE OSTOMY SURGERY)... NO S--T FOLKS.... BUT THE INGREDIENTS IN THOSE SOUPS WILL CAUSE SHADOW TO CREATE A BLOCKAGE AND THEN BAZINGA I AM HOSPITAL BOUND FOR A 2 OR 3 DAY STAY WHILE THEY REMOVE THE BLOCKAGE.

    SO WITH THAT BEING SAID I PROMISE LAST NIGHT I WOULD TELL YOU ALL WHAT THE S/W AKA MARISSA AND I CAME UP WITH...
    1) CONTINUE WITH MY DAILY GOALS... HOW EVER THEY NEED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC.....MEASURABLE...ATTAINABLE....REALISTIC....AND TIME SPECIFIC...
    2)...WORK ON BUILDING ACCEPTANCE FOR WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF DOING DAILY.... WHAT I AM OPERATING AT( MY BODY'S BATTERY LIFE 0-100%)
    3) I AM GOING TO START MY DAY WITH BREAKFAST( I AM NOT MUCH A FAN OF BREAKFAST) MY GOAL IS TO DO THIS 2-3 TIMES THIS COMING WEEK.... I AM TO PLACE A STICKY NOTE BY THE DOG'S FEEDING STATION TO REMIND ME OF THIS GOAL...

    BEING A RETIRED CHEF I AM REALLY GOOD AT PLANNING MEALS AND KNOWING WHAT THE CALORIC CONTENT IN THEM IS... SO I AM GOING TO PLAN A DAILY MENU FOR ME AND THEN PREP THAT MENU... I FIND THAT I GET BORED WITH THE SAME OL STUFF EVERYDAY.. SO WITH THAT IN MIND I AM GOING BACK TO THE BOOKS AND TO MY BARIATRICS MENUS AND REBOOT MY MEAL PLANS THIS COMING WEEK.

    WE ALSO DISCUSSED MY TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH YOUNGER LADS AND LASSIES.... NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AS MUCH AS I WANT IT TO.... MY MENTALITY OF BEING THE BEST.... BEING BIGGER BADDER STRONGER AND BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE IS OL SCHOOL FOR ME AND MAY OR MAY WORK IN TODAY'S WORLD OF NEW MILLENNIUMS AND GEN-X GENERATIONS... YOU ALL ARE ANY WHERE FROM 10- 20 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME AND MAYBE MORE THAN THAT... YOUR METABOLISM IS RUNNING AT PEAK PERFORMANCE AND MINE NOT SO MUCH ... I HAVE PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND LEARNING DISABILITIES THAT DON'T ALLOW TO HANG WITH YOU AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO... I KNOW WHAT MY BODY, MIND AND I ARE CAPABLE OF AND I NEED TO STICK IN THAT SPACE AND ACCEPT IT AND ROLL WITH IT.
    FOR EXAMPLE ... IF YOU LOOSE 5-6 LBS PER WEEK OR EXERCISE A BAZILLION MINUTES AND I LOOSE 1-3 PER WEEK AND CAN W/O FOR 30- 45 MINS 3 DAYS A WEEK THEN I HAVE TO BE OKAY WITH THAT.... I DON'T NEED BE UPSET AT ME ANYMORE THAT SOMEONE BEAT ME... I JUST NEED TO REALIZE THAT WHAT I DID ACCOMPLISH WAS GOOD FOR ME.

    NOW BY NO MEANS AM I FOLDING MY HAND AND STEPPING AWAY FROM THE TABLE.... NOT GOING TO HAPPEN... HOWEVER I AM GOING TO PLAY THIS HAND THAT I HAVE BEEN DEALT WAY SMARTER.... HOW THAT'LL LOOK DOWN THE ROAD NOT A CLUE, BUT HOWEVER IT SHAKES OUT I WILL BE BETTER OFF FOR IT.

    MARISSA REMINDED ME THAT I AM RETIRED ... I AM NO LONGER A BAD *kitten* NAVY SEAL DOG HANDLER.....I AM NO LONGER THAT EXEC. CHEF LARGE AND IN CHARGE.... I AM NO LONGER THE TOP DOG AT THE BOYS&GIRLS CLUB TEACHING TEENS TO BE CHEFS.... I AM NO LONGER THAT BIGGER BETTER BADDER GUY..... I AM PLAIN OL GREG... RETIRED..... A HUSBAND, A DAD, AND FATHER IN LAW AND GRANDPA AND I NEED TO BE OKAY WITH THAT.... IT'S GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF REBOOTING MY MIND AND HOW I LOOK AT THINGS DOWN THE ROAD WITH THAT STATEMENT.... BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT IS DOABLE...DON'T YA KNOW.

The fact you are doing something - be it your weight challenges, fitness challenges, health challenges, water challenges, sleep challenges, step challenges, or any other of the many challenges you do - these are far better than giving up and doing nothing at all! You've done so much and come through so much....never forget that!!!!! Keep strong! ;)

    @Navydaddjtc and I have our physical issues (I am actually your brain damaged friend, remember.) and we probably can't keep up with the rest of you, all of the time but we sure can tell you that there's no excuse to give up!!!!
