Day 5 Trigger Food: I think I have two - Tortilla chips and beer. Tortilla chips I try to keep out of sight or if eating, limit to just a few by eating slowly. Also, I really enjoy a beer after work. My best strategies are to drink water or kombucha immediately upon arriving home and have a small snack instead. I've been paying attention to what I'm feeling when I want a beer and I'm usually just a bit hungry.1

I am thankful for my hubby! I told him as I was making him breakfast this morning.
Team! It’s been great reading your posts!! We will make it strong into the New Year! 👏👏🌟🌟👍👍
I start my day off by journaling typically and write three things down that I am thankful for. It helps me to focus on the positive things rather than the negative.
Have a great day team!! 💃💃🌟🌟💃💃1 -

Good Afternoon
Glad to stop in and see everyone. Hope everyone is having a terrific October and looking forward to the arrival of the Great Pumpkin on Charlie Brown...
Thought I would stop in and give you all an update... My knee is not healing very quickly. For every inch forward, I seem to be going two backward. Monday before PT I was feeling ok with no real significant standing pain, had pt, and left with moderate standing pain and spikes to a good solid 8-9(10). Wednesday I went back to PT and told the therapist so we took it easy on the session and I left feeling ok (not great). I went home and my son was going to help me get some yard work done. I walked across the lawn, had a spike of pain that easily shot all the way to a 10, followed by intense standing pain that would not subside unless I kept all pressure off the leg. Simply put, could not weight bear. I had to have my son and wife help carry me back into the house and packed the knee in ice for three hours. Finally I was able to put weight on it again, but with more standing pain that on Monday or Wednesday.
My fear is that I am going to complete the eight weeks of PT without significant improvement and the next step is going to be surgical. In the meantime, I have depleted my hours at work, still have lots of pain, and if I stay out, I am short hours/pay. On top, each visit with PT x2/week, has a copay and I am paying out $$ each week that is not in the budget. This has been hell from the get-go.
On a comical note - I did email my doctor and thanked her for telling me to go out and get exercise. I said - "Thanks Doc, I followed your directions, went out to get exercise - and look what happened, I tore my meniscus..." Damn doctors... lol
Now, because I am spending so much time on the sofa and not moving around. I have gained a bunch of weight back on. So ( @Navydaddjtc ) Greg, be nice, but my weight this week is 311.0... I know, I know.
@Beka3695 - I am good otherwise, just struggling through this damn thing...
I miss all my friends on here. Will try to get on more frequently!

Tea report: yesterday I had one called “spicy pina margarita”. It was really quite good.
Today at work I made a genmaicha - Japanese green tea made with roasted rice. It’s very nice.
Tonight I am about to brew one called honey drop. With vitamin C, lemon, moringa and other cold fighting things. It’s such a chilly night I just want to warm up!
