Been struggling a bit since Thanksgiving. My digestion was thrown off by eating too much and eating food that I love that doesn't agree with me. Finally almost back on track. Going to start recording again and get my list of afternoon/evening snacks that are "good" back to the front of my mind. Also since Thanksgiving--GERD. My knee is getting better and now have a countdown of 11 days until Patrick returns from California. Trying to get the new configuration of our home, plus sorting, purging, decluttering tamed before he returns. Making progress. Sold all the items that have been clogging the space: large bed, antique dresser, round pine table, uncomfortable Ikea chairs.

Well, I can certainly see the results of not recording my food. It's a simple very clear correlation. When I am not conscious about what I eat I definitely stray off the sensible eating path. To be fair to me, only slightly over a pound up, but not the right direction. Been feeling a bit under the weather and notice I have been going back for that second serving.

Can't believe that my family (Patrick, Adara, Me) all have covid. At this point just have a little cough and not feeling great--but I am dbl-vaxxed and boostered so should not get really bad. Patrick is out of the worst of it--Adara is sick now too but mild. Nonetheless, I have been eating a lot of gingersnaps and last night could not get enough chocolate. Did not get on the scale today. Back to work tomorrow--has been good to have a few days with no classes or clients. Looking forward to New Year and setting concrete goals. But not today.

I do need to acknowledge myself for losing 1.6 pounds during the last challenge. Not bad for the holiday season as well as not weighing enough and not recording my food enough. So back to what works today. The new year.

I've been MIA. Made gingerbread cookies twice over the holidays and just after, then my son and I start binging on oreo thins. Jesh. Good news: knee better, put the sweets away. The corn syrup and sugar in those products are so addicting! Back to weighing and tracking 5 days out of 7.

Not feeling it lately--logging into mfp every day but that is about it. I don't have any promises to make today either. Have been using more butter in my cooking (man do things taste better) so guess my tongue is ruling again. Seem silly that that small piece of muscle can dictate how I eat, what I eat, what I crave. Course it is the only body part that can speak in English. Will try to get my mind right soon.

I've been less food-driven and think it is because I've been making myself happy and engaged in exploring art supplies and making colorful marks. Joanne Sharpe's class has really helped me to get going again. Sorted through all my supplies on my two art carts, except for my Winsor and Newton watercolor pens. Get my posca acrylic markers today. Love mark-making.

Starting the summer challenge slow. Have been logging into mfp every day but sometimes only entering my weight and sometimes only tracking food, and occasionally entering both. I know that just tracking and weighing pretty much does the trick. Here goes to committing to weighing and tracking all summer, one day at a time.

Just weighing most days and tracking most days. Peddling on the recumbent bike 2-3 miles (20-30 minutes) most days. Know that my knees will be better if I keep that up. Constipated this week. Have tried all my usual tricks but, no. Going to buy prune juice today.

Great to have you here Maureen! We are both headed in the "right" direction. This next week I will continue to weigh, track, and pedal my recumbent bike 5 days out of 7 or better.

Oppressive week emotionally. Did log into mfp daily but did not do much else. Feeling lighter as of yesterday. Think that will help me focus on lightening up physically as well.

Welcome back Mary! Today is my birthday (71) and went out to eat with friends twice today and had a nice slice of my favorite carrot cake! Going to wait until the weekend to weigh in for this week. ;)

Man, I can see the effects of celebrating my birthday "month" with carrot cake and homemade pasta (at a restaurant). I'm giving away the rest of the carrot cake today and back to sane eating and tracking. Funny that I am back to .1 lower than a month ago. So I can say that I've lost weight over the last month, LOL.

Stressing about moving, finances, job changes. Going for the carbs. Haven't logged in or weighed for 10 days--going for the carbs. Giving myself a high-five for logging in and weighing in today.
