The week sped by. We didn’t go to every session of the Bible conference. Ralph thought it was too foggy Monday evening. We did both of Tuesday’s. Wednesday Ralph heard the speaker and I worked (played) in the nursery and we stayed home Wednesday evening and Ralph did his class. They are online if would go and listen but we are not good at doing that.
I did what I could at home in the afternoons but I usually managed to fit a nap in too.
Thursday morning we had doctor appointments. Mine was simple and just talk about blood pressure. He thinks mine is too low but will let the heart doctor deal with it. Ralph finally got his shoulder checked out. He has lost a lot of range of motion but still has the strength. They did an xray which shows a lot of arthritis. He is starting PT on Monday and we’ll see how it goes. I imagine he should have pushed to use it when it started hurting. Hopefully, this will go ok with his fibromylgia. I’ll go along for the first one so I can set up the appointments when the car will be free for him but I won’t go all the time.
In the afternoon we went and watched Lucy bowl. She’s not great but has fun. Her dad says she’s doing everything right but has no consistency. The place was not very warm and Ralph had a hard time with that. Afterwards we ate at Sam’s. We wanted the hotdogs but would have had to wait so we did the pizza meal. It was good.
Friday we went to town. Then I went ahead and got the house straightened up for Sunday. So today I had a little food stuff to do and then I worked on short jobs which hopefully don’t have to be repeated soon. The brownies was an out of date mix but smelled okay. I want to get things more used up and then do better at staying current.
It stayed above freezing most of the time this week so there was melting but the ground was still frozen so the country roads were messy so we always had to drive slow. Finally, yesterday afternoon, the ground thawed enough that the roads are a bit better. Our car is coated with several layers of yuck.
Take care.0 -
Did the usual shopping this weekend. Had the gardener here too. Still to wet for him to weed the slope so I had him fertilize the roses, azaleas and gardenias and do some light trimming. If it is still to wet next time he comes I'm just going to cancel. Not much for him to do for the other shrubs. Temps warmed up a bit this week to high 70's but we are supposed to get heavy rain again this thursday. Hopefully there won't be any more flooding.
Last Monday we had heavy rain and some areas in south east San Diego that are near bodies of water had severe flooding. I never thought we'd see that in San Diego. Our crappy Mayor claimed that they were maintaining everything and nothing could have prevented the flooding but we know the drains were not properly maintained and he is lying. In the next breath he said that he is going to ask for federal funding to help with the "deferred maintenance". That in itself tells you the drains have not been maintained.
Had a nice time at BJ's. Fellowship was good and the food was pretty good too. Prices weren't too bad either. It was nice to see everyone again. My bible study starts up again this Thursday. Really looking forward to it.
My friend Jami is recovering well from the brain surgery but they were not able to get to one of the anuerysms. They are hoping it will shrink now that the stints are in place. If not, they will go in and try to resolve it. She goes back in 6 weeks.
Debora, glad things are well on your end. The visiting speakers sound good. I didn't know Ralph also has fibromyalgia. That can be difficult. Hope his PT goes well. Also hope things warm up and melt in your area.
Take care and have a blessed week!0 -
Hi, another week has gone by. Things both warmed up and dried up. Today started out at 52. Roads aren’t muddy but need to be graded now. We did get a little bit of rain last night but so far not what they predicted. So I got the trash out so that job is done.
Ralph started on PT for his shoulder this week. I went along the first time so I could make sure appointments worked out with our other activities. There are three physical therapists and he’s had them all. They are working on getting his range of motion back. He only has three exercises to do at home and two he does better than the third.
Tuesday morning I worked with friend and in the evening we went to watch great niece play basketball. The girls won. Sadly, the varsity boys lost but the other team was really good. Wednesday was Bible study and then I was in the nursery in the evening. We had three girls. Thursday was Willing Workers. Our project committee met beforehand to plan our projects so we ate together. Then after the meeting I was able to get our project (food stuff for a local food panty) taken in while they were open. It was a good day but I was glad to be home for the evening.
Friday morning we went to town a bit later to make things work with his PT. I wanted to get something easy for dinner and found some turkey tortilla rollups that were marked down. We’ll be working on them. We can’t eat as many at one time as I thought we could. In the evening I made our regular sandwiches to take to the Berean basketball games. It was homecoming night and a lot of alumni come. Games were good. JV and Varsity boys both went into overtime. Only game we lost was Varsity boys in the second overtime.
Today I am at home. Ralph went to his Bible study and he took doughnuts. I was glad there were some left so I could have one when he came home. I’m working on straightening the house and doing food for tomorrow. I still need to bake the rolls and make the ecclair cake for dessert.
Isabella, heavy rains are not good where there is already lots of water. Hope the mayor can get things in shape now. Glad Bjs was good. What will you be studying at Bible study?
Glad Jami is recovering well. They should keep good watch. The clot in my niece’s heart has not gone away. She gets it checked every week. They are trying not to do surgery.
Now that Sheryl is gone, our group is smaller. Sometimes I think we just do an email. But here your news sits and waits for me and doesn’t disappear if I don’t answer right away.
Time to get our plates ready. Have a great week.0 -
Hi, We’ve had warmer days and today is cooling down. Sunday morning was communion so we start later. Then the kids were here. Jim always needs to leave at 2 so then the other family leaves shortly after cause the cousins are gone.
The rest of the day was relaxing and gearing up for the week. Monday was at home until 4-H Council. We met two of the grands (who also go to the meeting) at McDonalds and had some time with them. Tuesday I worked with friend at church and we started Good News Club again. We had 14 and some were new ones. As I’m looking at the sign up sheets today, I realized one boy came a couple of years ago and one of the moms I babysat when she was much younger. So I’ll try and talk to her next week. In the evening we went to the basketball game between the local
Wednesday was Bible study. I worked at home in the afternoon and was in the nursery in the evening. We had 4 kids who played so well. No crying at all. Thursday morning I found out I was supposed to be in the nursery for Bible study so got there 20 minutes later but the other person was doing okay. We had 6 kids and they played well. In the afternoon we went and watched Lucy bowl one more time and then went to the Soil Conservation Annual Meeting. It was a delicious meal and the meeting was not overly long.
Friday we did our errands. There was no PT for Ralph as the PT people decided he should see the orthopedic doctor first (next Wednesday) so see if he can get a shot or needs surgery. He did say he did have a bit more movement though.
I thought I was going to be gone this morning and evening so got some family size Voila meals to fix – on sale so about the same cost as lasagna and I know they enjoy them. I ended up being home this morning cause Maggie had a fever so no basketball so got the jello and deviled eggs done then (made deviled eggs as grandson wants some for his superbowl party so decided we should have some too. Now I’m almost done baking the breadsticks, will do dishes and then be ready to go to a pancake and sausage feed at a area church. Always fun to see who is there and our youngest daughter and husband are going at the same time so we’ll see them.0 -
Good morning! It's been cooler here but not too bad. Mid 60's with a chill breeze. Went to the farmer's market Saturday before my usual shopping and got a couple gifts for my friend in FL for her birthday which is 2 weeks after mine. It was a beautiful day!
I usually cook for Valentine's Day since my birthday is so close but I didn't feel like it this year so I suggested we get pizza and Dan really liked the idea. We ordered a medium which was perfect. Enough left over for lunch the next day. We ordered from the pizza place that bought out our favorite place and found out that they are also selling the place. It will become a "Giant NY Pizza" which is a chain. Not too thrilled with that but we will probably at least give them a try. Hard to find good pizza in our immediate area these days and it seems silly to travel for pizza.
Went to lunch at the senior center for Valentine's Day also. I picked up a friend who is no longer driving. It was really good to see her. The meal was excellent and they had a member of the 5th Dimension, Floyd Anderson, come in and sing some oldies for a half hour. It was very enjoyable.
We plan to go to the Hamburger Factory for my birthday on Saturday. It is under new ownership so we'll see how they are. Hopefully still as good as the former owner.
Debora, Glad to hear that Ralph's PT is getting some results. How did the appt with the Ortho doctor go?
We are doing a book study on Luke by Lisa Harper. The Study is called Luke - Gut Level Compassion. So far so good. Our group got so large - 50 ladies! - that our leader had to close the group signup. I'm sure some gals will drop out but it is a great group as always. What are you studying in your bible study group?
I wouldn't mind going to just emails instead of here, so if you ever decide to go that route just let me know. Either way is good by me.If you don't mind I'd love to have the recipe for our ecclair cake. It sounds delicious! You could email it to me.
OK, talk to you soon. Have a blessed week!0 -
Pancakes and sausage last week were good and I had a yummy piece of chocolate smore style pie. Sunday meal went well. Finished the last of the leftovers tonight for supper. No one stayed too long cause they all had superbowl parties to go to. We just watched it here at home. It was a good game with the outcome I liked. I wasn’t real impressed with the ads. And I did other stuff during halftime.
Monday was 4-H so I got ready for it. Had a good group and a lot of good talks. Tuesday morning Ralph had a checkup with the cardiologist. They agreed he was retaining some fluid so put him back on a pill they took him off 3 weeks ago. They are trying to get his BP to be more around 120 instead of lot lower but now it’s running more around 140 so trying things. Tuesday afternoon was Good News Club and we had 18 kids this week with 4 gone. Biggest group we’ve had for awhile.
Wednesday morning we did refreshments at Bible study since it was Valentine’s Day. We had a lot of good stuff. Then we went to Ralph appointment with the orthopedic doctor and he got a shot in the shoulder and in his right knee since it’s hurting again. The doctor said he could probably do range of motion on his own so we’ll see how that goes. I’m trying not to nag him on it. We enjoyed lunch at McDonalds. Worked at home in the afternoon and we had 4 kids in the nursery in the evening.
Thursday was in to the the PA to discuss the BP and we go back in six weeks. In the meantime, he keeps watch on it here. We then went to a thrift store, a bookstore and ate at Chick-Fil-A for our half anniversary. Thursday evening was Molly’s music concert – they are always good. We were able to sit on the front row so no heads in our way.
Friday was the usual errands. In the evening Maggie had a program. It was the 2nd and 3rd graders and they did Giddy Up Get Along Gideon. Very cute and a good message. This morning I went to watch Mattie play basketball at the Y. She is right handed but always dribbled with the Y. Their team lost but she had fun. Ralph, Alan and his boys went to a farm toy tractor show so were gone all day. I’ve been working on stuff for Sunday. Chuck roast were on sale (still very high) but splurged and have it with potatoes and carrots so I peeled and cut up 7 pounds of carrots. I’ll do the potatoes in the morning. The applesauce jello is made and the birthday cake. After we eat I’ll get the birthday tablecloths on and then I have valentine napkins so the table will have an interesting look. I think 21 will be able to be here.
Isabella, I always enjoy pizza. Sorry a chain is coming in. That’s what we mostly have around here – we usually do Pizza Hut just cause of the deals. How fun to eat at the senior center and bringing a friend. Cool on the music.
How was the Hamburger Factory? I’ve not heard of Lisa Harper (there are so many Bible studies out there). 50 is a large group. We don’t like to have over 10. Right now we usually have 8 of us there and one coming in via a phone call on speaker as she is supposed to be careful with her health. We are studying Mary and are mostly in Luke but the first two chapters. Elizabeth George is the author. We’ve done almost all of her books. They are ones that you can do them ahead or as we discuss which is how I often do them.
Well, we can try the emails out and change back to here if we want. I’ll consider it started when I send you the ecclair cake recipe.
Off to do dishes and get the birthday tablecloths on.0 -
Hi. Temps are still in the mid 60's which is fine with me. We finally got some sunshine the last couple days. I know - we are SO spoiled here in San Diego. It is supposed to start raining again on Monday but shouldn't be too bad.
Went to lunch at the senior center today. They served sausage stuffed zucchini. It was very good. The company was very enjoyable as well.
My birthday was very nice. The Hamburger Factory was very good. They changed a few things but the quality is as good or better and all the previous wait staff are still working there so we were quite pleased. Prices went up $1 or $2 but it was still very reasonable. Our bill before tip was $35.
On Wednesday my friend Mona took me to lunch for my birthday. We went to a place called The Stand. I've eaten there before and liked it. I decided to try something new since I wasn't paying for it and got a southwest chicken wrap. It was a tad dry but good. I'll probably get one of the other things I like better next time. I also got a strawberry shake. I haven't had a shake in at least 20yrs so it was a nice treat and very delicious.
Debora, Your bible study sounds very good. I really like Elizabeth George. You cant go wrong with any of her studies. She always goes in depth.
How did your chuck roast come out? I'm sure it was delicious! Did you put it in the crock pot or in the oven?
Giving emails a try sounds good. As you said, we can always come back here if they don't seem to be working out. I'll look for your ecclair cake recipe.
Have a blessed week!

Hello, I hope there is someone else out there. I haven't been on in several years. Lots of life has happened and I sure have missed you all. I'm starting all over again, I have added 25lbs since I retired last year and I'm trying to get back to where I once was (feeling much better in my skin).
I Hope to hear back from you.
0 -
Ok, here I am. I've put on weight since NM ended. I did good for awhile and then it crept back on and it goes on much easier than it goes off. I did not quite get up to my heaviest and slowly trying to go back down. Still very cold here - we've gone from 0 to 1. The sun is trying to peek out and it's not windy.0
-
So glad to see that your back. I'll come back just saw what time it is and I have to cook dinner. I hope Isabella will come back too.0

Hi Debora, I can totally agree that the weight go on much faster and off much much slower. I retired last year and here came the 25 pounds (154) and I felt bad, my cloths didn't fit right (I had to go buy 2 new pair of jeans a size bigger). Now I'm at my heaviest and time to get busy and loose it. I have a doctor appointment in July and I would like to at least be 10 or 15 pounds lighter (144 or 139) but then I will still have 10 to my goal. We didn't get the really bad weather only super cold with lots of wind. Now we are on our way back up, come Monday we should be in the 60's, now that's my kind of temps.
Talk later/GOD Bless0 -
Isabella said she try and drop in about once a week if she still can get in. I'll drop in once or twice a week or will try too. We went from -11 to 15 so got above zero but I think we will move into a warming trend now. Our car has been starting okay so that's nice but it's nicer to stay home than go places. Monday is supposed to get up to the 40-50s so hoping we can head for Nebraska and get our "new" car. Supper tonight is salads and chicken salad sandwiches.0
-
Well I hope Isabella is able to still get in. I had forgotten my original password so I had to reset it. I think us getting together twice a week here will be okay. Since I have come back I introduced myself and I had a few requests (4) to make new friends and I accepted them. So I would like to create another Water Cooler for us to get together for support and chit chat. But I don't know yet, just thinking about it.
See you next time and Be Safe when you go to head for Nebraska to pick up your new car.
God Bless0 -
Nice that you've got some other friends to support you too. Ralph is getting ready to head for his Bible study (after he chores) and I'm ready to start on house stuff. We have a SS teacher' meal this evening to go to so that will be fun. And the day will be warmer. It's already 13 out. How are you working on your weight loss no. Do you plan our your meals?0
-
What is a "SS teacher meal"? Are temps today are in the 60's and a sunny day. My weight loss so far is 3 pounds down, up 1 pound today, I've been at this for 28 days and it is so slow going but I'm not giving up. I just have to keep at it and I'll get to my goal by the time I have to go back to the doctor's in July. The doctor told my hubby to start the Mediterranean diet to loose weight so I have to figure out that for him, what I cook for him I'll be eating to so hopefully that will help. I'll let you know more about all that.
Have a blessed day.0 -
Good morning. Things that rattle off my tongue are not known to others. It was a meal for the children's Sunday School teachers. Weight loss is hard as we get older (good excuse). I have been having too many sweets this week and am up one. But I'm 7 below my highest which is a win to me.
No, you will not give up. Slow and steady wins the race. They say the Mediterranean is a good way to lose weight so I will be interested in how it goes for the two of you. Weight loss is not mentioned much by out doctor even though we both could use it.
This week has been so much warmer than the last two weeks. Such a big swing. We drove to Nebraska on Monday and got our new car. We each drove abut 7 hours since we both had to drive coming home. Tuesday I had to babysit in the morning and help with Good News Club in the afternoon. Wednesday morning I managed to ruin a tire on the new car as I went to walk. Our son changed it while we went to an activity. After it, we got the car and headed to town to get it inspected and get out new tag (which is a paper one but it's nice to have one - driving with no tag did not feel right). Thursday I had Bible study in the morning and Ralph had an appointment in the afternoon so we also did needed errands in that town. Yesterday I enjoyed working at home - never a lack of things to do. This morning we are going to a celebration for a friend and then will be at home working. No kids here for dinner tomorrow since I have to go somewhere right after church so will be able to do different things then I usually do.
Take care. I'm very interested to hear about your new cooking.0 -
WOW!! Debora, you've had such a busy week. So what kind is your new car? Well let's see, I've missed 3 days of exercising this past week which really does show in no weight lost not even a .5 lbs which is what my minimum amount is I'm shooting for. I've eaten out 3 times (high in Sodium) this past week is another reason for not loosing that pesky .5 lb. that keeps alluding me. Even though I have not lost any week weight I do feel somewhat better. I really do like the walk at home and some easy strength training videos that I have found on YouTube.
My hubby (Jeff) is replacing the back door right now and I am just waiting for him to call me to come help him.
As far as this new Mediterranean Diet goes I'm still trying to find a couple of easy receipts that I think we will both like. So I'll keep researching that, plus it has to be easy for me to cook.
The weather down here has been getting pretty nice so that I can open up windows and shut off the heater. My 3 cats love it when the windows are open.
Take care and talk later, God Bless0 -
We got a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. So now we have a 2001 Mercury and a 2004 Mercury but where the older two have close to 300,000 miles on them, this one had 88,000 when we got it. It's a silver color so doesn't stand out to me. But we put a chicken on the dash to help me find it. We bought the car at an auction so only saw pics and did not get to drive it beforehand. So far we have bought a new battery and two new tires.
I actually had some weight loss last week. I am trying to limit myself to one dessert item a day (didn't not do that Sunday) and trying to use more self control. We'll see how long this lasts. Eating out would have definite affect with sodium. But the walking and strength is good for you.
Ralph has shopped the last two weeks for chicks. He's raising them for some others. So far he has 50. The selection is different this year and they go very fast. But he is enjoying watching them. He has lost five which hurts cause they are more expensive.
We had hamburgers and hot dogs Sunday and have lots of leftovers. Then today I made a meal for a mom with a new baby so made us a casserole too (a very easy one to make). So I will be freezing some stuff in a few days. When I got the meal to her house, i realized I had left the salad at home so told her. Too far to run home and get it. And I have lots of dinner rolls and Ralph will not eat a bunch of them cause they got too brown. They are already in the freezer till I'm ready to use them.
I'm with you on finding recipes that are easy to make. Keep up the hunt. Tomorrow we are running around. Will do munchies with some flylady friends and then going to another town to get donate our church's old SS quarterlies and stuff. Everything out of the house helps.
Our weather has been much nicer than it has been so not hard to enjoy it. You enjoy your week. Debora

Wow 3 Mercury's, are all 3 of them Grand Marquis as well? Plus 2 of them close to 300,000 miles. They must be some pretty dang good cars. I like the chicken idea on the dash board, that's pretty cool.
Congratulations on the SV.
Well, Jeff got the back door put in and had minimal trouble with it fitting in straight. The door frame was slightly off square but it's in and works just awesomely. I too have an SV and that pesky 1/2 lb that I have been fighting with, well I won the battle plus some. I am now officially down to 148 from 154 and it only has taken 54 days to get there, slow like a snail. I have incorporated different type of exercises, some days I walk with Leslie and other days I do a total body work out, with strength training (3 lb. weights / stretch band). I do about 30 to 60 minutes, 5 -7 days then take a day off for rest.
Our weather here in Texas has been almost like summer temps, no rain and windy. Which I figure this summer is going to be a very hot and dry one, since we are already hitting the 80's.
Well got to go, talk later and God Bless, Talley
0 -
Yes, they are all Grand Marquis'. Ralph can get into them with his cowboy hat on. That was one of the main reasons we got the first one.
Yay on the back door. Getting it to work is the big thing. Congrats on your SV. I let a bit more down and saw 170 yesterday. Now to keep it off. That's great on the strength training you do.
We've been getting up in the 70s but we have plenty of wind. We went to a junior high quiz bowl that one of the grands was in today and going in he said it was hard to hold the car on the road. The wind had died down afterwards and driving was much better. I had never been to a school quiz bowl. It was interesting and lots of answers I did not know. There were several rounds in the 2 hours. Ralph left and went out and sat in a lounge area cause he just couldn't hear. Afterwards we went ate pizza at Sam's, to Dillons for gas and home.
Tomorrow is errands and then home for the rest of the day and it seems like things I can do here is never ending and I just do what I can and the rest keeps waiting for it's turn. I did get the kitchen light bulb changed today - such a small job but I just wouldn't get that far on the list.
Take care.

Today is a good day, we have had a cool front come through and has dropped the temps back down to the 60's and 70's for the next 7 days, at least that is what our weather-man has said. For the next 3 days we have a 30% to 80% chance of rain. We got very little today.
That's awesome that you are continuing to see more lbs lost. I know that you can keep it off and get more healthier.
Have you heard how Isabella is doing? I hope is well with her.
I have never heard of a School Bowl quiz but it sounds like it was lots of fun, knowledge is power. 😊
Talk later, breakfast is ready. God Bless

Hi. We've had some cooler days. Today started at 32 but is up to 62. I used my coat again over the weekend. So spring fades in and out. Sadly, some weight snuck back on. And that was before we went out to visit my oldest sister. We went early but she turned 88 today. We ate out at nice places twice - one Mexican and one barbecue (and my sweet nephew paid) but I ate it all so we'll see how the rest of the week goes.
This week we have a big banquet at the school Ralph and our kids attended for high school. Each they recognize the decade year so Ralph class (70 years) is one of them. The number s a small but we'll have 8 at the table. Some can't come for various reasons. And Sunday all the kids will come and we'll celebrate our April birthdays.
Isabella is doing okay. She just never things of getting on here so you'll have to put up with just me. Fixing supper right now. Frozen potato patties, ham and green beans. Then headed off to a meeting where they will talk about the bank robberies that happened in the two small towns over the years - should be interesting.
Take care.

Hi Debora, sorry for taking so long on getting back but I have been some what injured and just popping on to log my food. What happened is that I went to the chiropractor last Thursday and she made some adjustments. My hubby wanted me to take a break from exercising and just rest. I go back tomorrow for another adjustment, so we will see if i can get back to exercising. I have been watching what I eat to make sure I don't go over my calorie count and been doing fairly well (no extra weight except .5 lbs.).
I think it's pretty awesome that you all get together once a month for birthdays. I'm glad to have you to talk with. It does get pretty lonely in here. The 2 people that I have friended have not been online and have not responded back to my check up's. I just got a friend request from a guy that has only been on MFP for 12 days and his profile is private so I don't know if I should accept, I'm really leery about new people if there is no way to check them out.
Got to go talk later, be safe and God Bless

Hi Tammy, not a problem. How did you injure yourself? Resting is good while you heal. Very good and staying at your calorie count. With birthdays and holidays, I ain't been doing so good. But I could do better. Keep watching what you eat and stay on track.
All but Matthew and Julie were here today for Easter. We also did not have Sunday School and instead everyone brought breakfast things - egg casserole, sausages, cinnamon rolls, muffins and a little fruit and we ate together and visited. They we had a wonderful Easter service. The kids all brought food this time and there was plenty to eat. We got rain yesterday and today so I hid the eggs in the basement. In some ways it's easier cause I do it in age groups so I don't have as many eggs to hide at at time.
Last Monday we found out we are getting another grandchild. Alan and Katie are adopting another special needs child. She was three in January. They had their first visit with her this past Friday and will have time with her several times this week during the day. It's a process. I've seen pictures but I think she'll be here for dinner next Sunday. She has just started started walking some so has a lot of delays.
Last Thursday I had an appointment in Newton so suggested we go on to the junior high track meet in a nearby town after that. I also took some things to the thrift store. Turns out I forgot that appointment was rescheduled to tomorrow but was okay since we had the track meet plans. it was a warm day but with the Kansas breeze and shade in the bleachers in it was great time. We had three grandchildren to watch so was there from the beginning to the end.
We'll go back for my appointment tomorrow and I want to look for Easter markdowns.
Did the request you got start with SMITH? I don't remember the rest. I didn't accept but wondered if was someone you knew?
Take care and enjoy your week.

Yes the person was SMITHJ12869, there is a picture on the friend request but when you go to his page there is no picture or a profile to view. I'll send an email to this person to see if it is someone we may know.
It's really weird about how I injured myself. I was exercising with Leslie and doing senior exercising low impact with another lady and then one morning I woke up with my leg hurting right near the hip. When I went to the chiropractor she had me do a message which the therapist who was really rough on my lower back, so now I'm trying to heal from that. I'm going back to the chiropractor next month and am suppose to get another message before any adjustments this time. If that therapist is still rough on my lower back I will not be going back to that particular one, the Chiropractor has 2 other ladies that I could try and maybe they will not be so rough.
Sounds like you had a real nice Resurrection Day with Family and Friends. It was just me and my hubby a nice quite day.
We got 3 inches of rain on Saturday, which we really needed it and now the temperatures are nice and cool. The weatherman say's we are to get more rain later this week. That system that came through Saturday also came with a Tornado warning for our area, we got lucky that it was 8 miles south of us and heading northeast away.
Have a great day / week, GOD Bless and stay safe.

Yep, sounds like he found both is us here. I'm always leery of sudden requests. Thanks for checking it out. I usually ignore them. Oh my, so the chiropractor made things worse. Massages are supposed to make you feel good. Nice of you to give the person a second chance.
Wonderful on three inches of rain. We got enough on Saturday to keep us inside and were supposed to get more Tuesday night but nothing. We could use quite a bit. Certainly glad the tornado missed you and hopefully didn't do too much damage where it was.
I am having trouble with my computer. It keeps telling me I have low disc space so I have eliminated things I could do easily. I am not working on emails. They made me realize I've had this computer longer than I thought. The earliest email is 2017 so I know I won't be going back to those. So hopefully eliminating a bunch of them will help. I think I'll call a computer place next week.
Today I have Bible study. Then this afternoon we are going to a junior high track meet until time for an elementary program. We are having warm weather so sitting outside won't be too hard for Ralph. We will get to meet out new granddaughter on Sunday - they are getting to spend time with her on different days. Enjoy your day.

Hope all is okay with you Tammy. End of school year is busy. Two programs this week for grandkids. And we signed up for a historical tour on Saturday. Last weekend we went to the college I graduated from 50 years ago and saw a few of my classmates. Was more fun than I thought it would be. Foodwise, some days are better than others but I keep trying. How much walking I do depends on what else is going on that day. Take care of yourself.

Hi Debora, Sorry I've been absent, I'm okay, just been trying to keep myself busy outside getting my garden together. I sent an email to that guy John but I never heard back from him so I declined his friend request. All is well here in Texas, been getting some much cooler temps and needed rain. Going on a historical tour sound like fun, where and what will you be seeing. I look forward to hearing more about it.
Did you manage to get your computer issues taken care of? I've only worked out 1 day last week and I could tell that it's been well over 8 days since I worked out before that, now it's another 5 days gone by and I have added 1.5 lbs back on. I really need to get back to exercising. I always feel so much better when I do exercise.
Well I better go for now, we are expecting more rain showers tomorrow. Take care and God Bless

I sent a message to Jeanniepeel to check on her and this was her reply.
Hi Tammy, Thanks for checking in. I got your check-in email on Feb 4th, too but my mom had just passed way on the 1st so I was a mess. I intended to come back to it, but it didn’t happen. I feel like I lost the last year of my life because my mom’s sister died, too, last May after 3 weeks on home hospice with me caring for her in upstate NY. I was in charge of her estate and cleaning out her house, and I still live in FL so it was a crazy summer. Had a significant hurricane last fall and then my mom got sick and was in the hospital all of January. Now I’m in charge of her estate and selling her home, too. It’s been a lot and I’ve put on at least 30 pounds that I’m addressing now. I’m still working and I got a dog so life stays pretty busy. Overall, I feel grateful and blessed, but some days it’s really hard to focus and feel motivated to do anything! Thanks again for writing, and please feel free to share my update with anyone who might be interested. I miss NM so darned much!!

Hi Tammy, glad all is well. Garden's take a lot of time. I haven't had one for several years. What all do you plant. My last two things I did were tomatoes and peppers and I often have friends who share. Last week I was given some asparagus.
We got a nice rain about a week ago. This week is high 80s so warm.
We went to a town (Florence) about 30 miles away. Saw one of the first limestone house built there, saw a house one of the richest families lived in, ate in a Harvey House and saw some other things as we drove around in the tour bus. The bus driver was very good. He had to back out of one place we went into. We were gone about 9 house and then had a grad party in the evening so had another meal I didn't have to cook.
This morning we went and heard a granddaughter present her senior thesis and then answer questions from a panel. She did a good job in my mind.
Sorry the 1.5 pounds snuck back on. Today i started logging on cronometer and still doing mynetdiaary. I was about to pay for the premium for mynet so I could synch my fitbit. Did some google and I can synch it on cronometer on the free version so going to both for a few days but probably make a switch. I think it will help me come closer to total I should it if I can see the steps really added in.
Wow, Jeannie has been though a lot.
Talk to you later as we both continue on our journey.
