I did get a nap today so will be OK. No...I need the box spring. I'm praying it moves on this way. It shows on tracking that it left Ft. Worth at 3:10 AM yesterday morning. I can sleep a bit in the recliner as well....it all just adds to my pain level. I have a lightweight but very cozy blanket. I just need a cat or two....and a maid?

Praise God! My box spring thing is on the road again and scheduled for delivery today! I will get the floor cleaned and my space prepped for it and pray for the strength to unbox it and get my bed put back together!
My desk chair is coming tomorrow and assembly is scheduled for Tuesday....and that too will be a great gift. This dining room chair, even with a cushion, is only comfy for maybe 15 minutes at most.
Last night wasn't as painful as the one before on the sofa, but it was less than quality rest....so I do need more down time.
Right now...I need some pain reliever and coffee, after a nod off in the recliner. I am so thankful for it and am getting used to it...after 12 years or so in my old, really comfy one.

Wishing you all a lovely and blessed day at your spots on the map. God is awesome and aren't we glad to be His!

Amen! I can't imagine not being His - how do people survive without Him?

Oh, I'm so glad it's coming. Maybe the maintenance guy could help you get it on the bed frame? I'd hate for you to pull your back out! You know what you are doing, so I'll just back off now!

Still no word on the MRI. It could be another week before it's even read. I was looking up info on when I can expect a result and a couple of sites said from one to two weeks unless it's an emergency or life/death need. Oh well, not much will happen in two weeks and how exciting to know that Jesus already knows and has a plan! God is amazing!

Oh my! That's an extended time in my book....but you will know something soon and yes...God already knows the results and has you in his care.

No maintenance help. Mary wouldn't even let them in to change bulbs for me....until I am determined to be bug free. Hopefully by the last follow up in November. I have a note asking Fed Ex to slide it inside for me at least. I hope they will. The UPS girl taps once and drops my box on the sidewalk.

If I see trouble for myself....I will ask for help on our local help site. We have three. It would take about 30 minutes to unbox, slip into the new cover I bought and plop on the bed, then flip my mattress on top. I have cash on hand to pay for the service. It's supposed to arrive by 2:45...Hooya!

I got a nice nap this morning. Until almost Noon so no coffee was made and no chores done yet. I do enjoy my rest tho and am glad to get it when needed.

Thanks for prayers in my behalf. They are much appreciated! Love y'all...

Well, I posted a note under Abilene Helping Hands and had 7 responses offering assistance. What a blessing. I chose a young lady who is a cleaner and if she's able to do the heavy lifting...she's on! I'm hoping to get it done tomorrow so I can rest in my bed again!

OOO-Rah! So glad you will have help!

Not much new with me, but we are going to make lasagna for lunch - :p They didn't have the drooly face, so this one will have to do! LOL! Love you!

LOL...I hear you on the drooly face. I have fish filets, onion rings and a few fries in my air fryer for lunch.
I've been thinking of doing a small lasagna-ish dish, using frozen meatballs, cheese ravioli, cottage cheese etc....It only has to please me!

Natasha just left, gave me her number if I need further help and she was awesome! Her hubby is overseas on a mission trip and she's doing any extra work she can to fill in some gaps. I gave her $10 above the quoted price as she went the extra mile! I will be so very blessed to sleep on my bed again! I will rejoice for sure.

Oh my...I LOVE my new desk mat! It's beautiful and no hard plastic prongs to tear your hands up! Until I get my desk chair put together Tuesday, I'll leave it in the living room where it covers a multitude of stains! I may just get another...and leave that one there! It doesn't slide around like my little rug does.
Here's my mat...and my wonderful new recliner. I am blessed! rlhxzmn1puon.jpg

Oh, that looks so nice there, and you definitely do not want those rugs that move on you - they are a trip and fall hazard - we had to get rid of the ones we had when Mom started falling so much - not over the rugs, but at times nearly so. I'm so happy you had a good experience with Natasha!

No MRI news yet, hoping it will be soon. I'll call sometime this week to find out if it's back, but I need to give it time! I'm antsy when I have a test done - I want to know as soon as possible. I had one doctor who basically said - "No news is good news. If we don't get in touch with you everything is alright." Well, how long to do you wait until you're sure that everything is alright?! I always called to get the results just so I could be sure!

Wade probably has a cold, although he really wants to think it's just a bout of allergies at the beginning of the fall season like he has gotten in the past. He's coughing quite a bit, so I'm thinking it's more than that. I had A LOT of pain yesterday, but Jesus touched and I'm doing much better today! Thank You, Lord!

Have a great day. Love y'all.

Thank you! I'm still saying..."that's so pretty" when I see my mat. I'll move it in here tomorrow afternoon, once my desk chair is together and ready for use. I did order a solid brown one to use there at the recliner. Who'd have thunk it? I used to fuss at my Mama's trip hazards and I have way more than she ever did! Mine are mostly to cover the stains on my carpet that I've tread on and spilled on for 23 years!

Exactly! Why not just have a nurse call to put a patient's mind at ease if all is well and no major concerns?
Hope Wade is done with this, whatever it is very soon. On top of covid...and your pneumonia... an extended period of relief would be great!

I've now had 2 nights and about 4 naps in my bed....hooya! I am about 2 days away from recovery after the 3 hard nights on the sofa. My sofa is pretty to look at but is not comfy for long term use. My pain has been about tripled since this all started but is easing up a bit today. I am so thankful!

I do wish I'd ordered the thinner box spring. This one is 7.5" (like my old one) and the 5" would have had me getting in the bed much easier. I did bring my stepper thing in here tho so am using that to give me the boost I need. That helps a lot and decreases the struggle. If I should have to replace the mattress...I'll know to go thinner. This one is deep and very heavy! I don't see replacement as a necessity tho.

I finally did up some Bento trays and love them for easy, portion controlled, tasty meals. I had two yesterday so did up 3 more today. I finished with the pimento cheese and chicken salad so will use deli meat/cheese and tuna for the next ones. I have more boiled eggs and veggies at the ready. Tonight, I need to do up a nice salad so I eat more produce than I waste. I have a half a rotisserie chicken breast I need to deal with so will see what I come up with.qf1xab4atffu.jpg

Your trays look very healthy - good girl! LOL! I think I could eat about half of what is in there - which isn't saying you have too much - I just can't eat much at one sitting - tummy doesn't like it! I'm always amazed at what a normal serving looks like and people can eat the whole thing - if I tried I would have the bloat for a couple of days. I have gotten rid of my afternoon snack, that may be helpful in my three lbs lost. I'm enjoying my evening snack of an apple with cheese though - yummers. I have some Gouda and some Colby, love me some cheese!

Have an awesome day where you are at. I'll let you know when my results are in.

Me too on the cheese! I currently have a block of sharp cheddar and half a block of pepper Jack in there as well as sliced provolone and Swiss, two processed slices: American and Pepper Jack....and a few assorted shredded ones. Do cream cheeses count? I have those too....and some Blue cheese crumble for that salad down the line.

My Angi pro came yesterday and got my desk chair assembled. Oh joy! It felt awesome when I first sat in it....but I'm not sure any chair will relieve the great pain of my back, hips, sacroiliitis issues from sitting at my jobs for a total of 42 years....Oh well....I am thankful for good rest as needed and the joys of each new day I get. God is good and I am blessed!

I had a nice surprise on the scale today. I'm down to 236.6 after hitting a high again of 245. FBS is 108 and BP 140/74 59.
I had a low last night of 58 but was able to get to the kitchen for an orange juice and 3 candy slices. That was the first time in a couple of weeks tho I did have 79 FBS on the 27th....I do feel OK at that number but tend to have a meal to stay stable.

I see the NP at my cardiologists office on Monday, my PCP on Tuesday and my endo doc the 27th. I'll get lab work the 25th and be done with that.

I got a notice yesterday that the bug guy will come today instead of tomorrow. I made note of the apx. number I've encountered in the past two weeks...counting dead ones it's only 47 and 1 handful of hatchlings that I snagged with tape. I'll have one more follow up and can schedule another if needed for another $140. I am hoping I won't have to. I am so very pleased with the service and the results. I wouldn't wish this trouble even on Kamala Harris.

I've missed Marilyn's check ins and posts....praying for all of us here. We each have our burdens to bear but we all have Jesus to help us bear them, daily. I love you all and you remain in my prayers.98fh5jtfafb7.png

I'm missing Marilyn as well, and concerned for her. Y'all are in my prayers, but she especially right now because she's been gone for awhile. I understand when Missy can't be with us, she is doing something far better in taking care of that grandbaby. Hope your daughter is doing much better, Missy!

Wade is pretty much over his cold, still some head congestion though. I have no idea what is causing my head congestion (which has been there for years now), but my allergies over all are doing much better! Yeah for mold free coffee and God allowing it to help. I just called about my MRI results and the Dr's office is going to call over there and ask them to send it to them so they can get it to the doctor. It's been 12 days, so it really should be read by now since we aren't a big metropolis!

Ooo, we are going to have a warm day today! That makes me happy. It's cool in the house, but warm outside, so I'll spend some time out on the screened in porch!

Love y'all. Missing Marilyn and Missy. (and you too Laura, if you come in for a look-see!)

    Welcome to November!
Our time passes quickly, doesn't it? I rejoice with every single day....and now that I'm retired...will be 3 years next month...wow!...I so appreciate the gifts each day brings....as all the time I have belongs to me and Jesus!

My bug guy has another follow up the 13th and told Mary he thinks I'll need another, perhaps two. This time, I parted with my shower curtain....have a new one on order at Amazon. They can find a hideaway anywhere.

I had a total rest day, other than doing my Walgreens and HEB run. I needed it too. Last night was rough with tummy troubles. Haven't had that happen in awhile and I'm glad for the reprieve. It's exhausting!

I was in the laundry room Wednesday, for the first time in over a year. They have reworked the floor and washing machines and the price has gone up from $1.35 per load to $2.25! Oh my! I'd think there was some grumbling over that! I was glad I still had time on my card.

My neighbor has TWO cats! She's the one who took Junior in. I love them all....I'm so glad for the others who do and can care for them. I know I can't...7f941dns14fa.png

Wow, so glad you were able to get around, that is progress! Not so good about needing two more bug treatments - oh, definitely time to make my water with my memory powder in it! I had the word, lost the word and before it could go too far I was able to snatch it back! Sigh!

No news on the MRI yet, it's not even been sent to the doctor's office. Another sigh!

I need to get the plants watered so I'll wish you a happy day and hope everyone else is doing alright!

Thought I would take a minute to catch up and say hello!
Kim- Yes, my sweet Addy does remind me of her mommy when she was a baby for sure! Brings back so many memories. I am so blessed to be her gramma and very thankful. Every time she smiles at me, my heart just melts! I love her so much!
With all of the arthritis throughout my body...it is definitely harder on me now than then. But God gives me strength. I watch her long hours. I watch her 12-13 hours out of the day. I'd say she is 16 pounds easy! I measured her to be 25 inches long! She is growing so fast!!!!
It got 87 today! A very nice day!
    wishing ya'll a great weekend

I'm so glad it's going well! Wow, Addy is definitely getting big! Go baby, go!

Still no news on the MRI, so we'll wait out this weekend and hope Monday brings word. I am feeling confident that they will say that it's just a cyst and no chance it will turn into cancer so we'll just keep an eye on it to see if it grows. I am prone to cysts. I've had one in my colon, in my stomach, and on my ovaries (lots there), so am hoping that this is all this is too.

Have a blessed Lord's Day my beautiful lovelies! Love you

I had another rest day on Friday, for pretty much two down. Got some things done yesterday but not as much as I'd hoped. The pain has been so intense. I have my sciatica cushion on my desk chair for some help today. I need to do my "moves" daily to limber me up and increase my function.

My weight is still doing the yo-yo depending on wind direction it seems. LOL....I know I can do better and need to apply myself with more consistency to the healthier, beneficial meal choices, even when cooking is beyond my abilities for the day.

I had a hysterotomy at 30, due to fibroid tumors...they took one ovary as well. As far as I know, I've not had further issues. I hope you hear from the doctor's office tomorrow about your scan.

I'm going to have coffee and check my To Do list for the day. Prayers for us all in this new day and for the time ahead. Love you!

I've known about the fibroid tumor on top of my uterus for many years. When I had my ovaries out he almost took my uterus too but we hadn't talked about it so he didn't do it - I wish he had, just so it couldn't become an issue later. He is the doctor who asked if he could pray with me before we went into surgery. What a blessing and what a greater peace that brought.

I am going to give them until this afternoon to let me know what's going on. I may have to call the imaging center myself to see why it's taking so long if I don't hear something this afternoon.

My weight is holding steady between 236 and 237 right now. After a weekend I expect it to go back up but so far it's staying the same. I've been weary my compression wraps consistently now, so I am thinking that some of that weight loss is from squeezing out the lymphatic fluid and getting rid of it. Now to find a compression body suit! They actually do full body compression wraps in a hospital setting. I would need my arms and legs and tummy compressed! I think that my arms are more from the lipedema than the lymphedema though. I am going to get some walking in today - inside walking, the floor is pretty much flat in my house so it won't hurt my hip and SI joint. :)

Love you. Have a blessed day.

Guess it is time for an update - sorry for being away but have been really sick

Begining of October I went to the emergency and waited 10 hours before seeing a doctor - they did a cat scan and blood work - he said it looked like my appendiz was infected - called in a surgeon - did not like her at all and after listening to me and feeling my stomah she says she doesn't think it was the appendix and wouldnt operate anyway on me - due to my having majory 20 years ago for cancer and then 8 weeks or radiation. So the emergency doctor comes back and says to go home and if it gets worse to come back - 10 hours and nothing not even help for the horrible pain That was on a Monday, then on Wednesday nigat at 9.30 we were back to the emergency and had to wait to 5 am to see the doctor - took the cat scan agan and more blood work - yes the appendix was swollen and inflammed. Called in a surgon (better one) who said it was my appenix and explained the risk of my having surgery. Said normally it would be a 40 minute operation with the patient going home the same day. But because of the major previous sugery causing scar tissue and the radiation damaging the orgins the operation would take about 3 hours and because of some medical issues I have said he thought I would not survive the operation. So admitted me to the hospeal for 48 hours for high dose of medication and then send me home with 2 weeks of meds.

I finished the meds 2 weeks ago and still having pain - went back to my own doctor and he felt around and said it looks like the appendix is still not better - so had more blood work down which said everything was ok and am now awaiting for another cat scan. He feels there might be a pocket of puss and if so using the ultra sound they will freeze the area and place a tube in to drain it. Other option would be another 2 - 3 weeks on a different med to clear this up.

So for the month of October has been a washout - lots of pain and trying to avoid tyenol as taking them daily for long periods of time damage the liver and kidney. Will be happy to have this taken care of - as the doctor has told me I am not out of the wood yet but praying that can clean this up before it bursts because if that happens i will be going home to the Lord.

Will do what I can to come back every couple of days but if not just pray that this too will pass

Marilyn, I am so very sorry to hear of this major trial by fire, you've been dealing with. I find it so hard to comprehend, 10 hours waiting to be seen, scans, labs and then sent back home with a mere...if it get's worse, come back! My heart and prayers go out to you, love. I'm so sorry to know you are still in so much pain and at such risk even after your hospital stay.

Kim, I hope you get some answers today! A few simple sentences would dispel a lot of angst. Continued prayers for you too.

I need some today. I pulled a muscle on the right side of my neck yesterday, loading and lifting heavy bags I put together for a family in need. It brought my uhm...hoarding tendencies to the front and center.
I am praying for deliverance in that area...as it leads to a lot of waste going on in here. I'm praying for that precious family and was so glad I could help some. They have 3 kids.
My rest was greatly disturbed last night, due to the pain...so I'll do some gentle moves today to ease it as much as possible. There are many things that can help.

UPS has lost or misdelivered my night stand. It was due in yesterday...shows delivered at 9:45 AM....well...not here, it wasn't! I did a search, posted notice at UPS and to the seller....got it from Wal-Mart but seller is a company that handled it. It shows signed by somebody Salazar, left at front desk, no address. I have to wait up to 2 days for a follow up by them.

I was looking forward to getting it, as I have my fan sitting on an overturned trash can I use as a hamper and my Kindle, Kleenex and water sit on the other kitchen stool I got in the set. Not ideal but the set up works.

Bugs: Have only seen 3 since treatment last Wednesday! I am so thankful and blessed. I had prayed for deliverance from those things too and however it came about and at whatever expense...God has provided!

Missy, are your daughter and hubby over the colds in their household? How about the older daughter? Does she live with them? Prayers for you and your pain...associated with arthritis and other things. God knows the inner workings of us all and has us in His loving hands....y791imgpz3he.png

Oh Marilyn. When you weren't on I kept praying that you would be alright. I'm praying that God will give wisdom on what you should do, but mostly that He would take away the infection! My heart goes out to you and your waiting in the emergency room. I've had a couple of those with family and myself! I'm so glad that you are still with us! I wasn't sure there for awhile, but God is so good and has spared you to this point! Will continue to pray for you and for your family. How is your daughter handling things?

Bren, so sorry about the neck, praying that you will find quick relief. I've had that happen a few times with Amazon. Something doesn't come, I call Amazon customer service and they will usually send me another one. Last time I did that the package ended up reaching me so I just sent that one back to keep from being charged for it. They will wait a couple of days to be sure it isn't going to be found but then they will send a replacement. Hope that happens for you.

Still no news. I'm going to call the imaging center this afternoon if I don't hear from my doctor's office!

Thank you! It's so much better this morning. I had a good, solid sleep last night and got up at 4 AM...on the mend! God is awesome!

Did you get a response yet? Waiting....not a lot of fun and we do a lot of it!

Wal-Mart will do the same, I'm sure. Perhaps I will hear from the seller tomorrow and it will be reshipped. I made sure all my info was there and correct. I've had meds returned because the pharmacy didn't use my apartment number so check those things well, now. I'm doing OK with my current set up and at least have a spot for fan and essentials!

Yay! I can turn the AC off today! It's going to be 75 for a high and lows in the high 60's with rain the next two days. I love fall weather!

Wishing you blessings of joy, healing, strength and hope in this new day...Love to all...wqo7w4gmgija.png

Praise the Lord! Trump won - unless something drastic happens or the Burro's (the guys who's symbol is a donkey) do something to change it. There are two months before Trump takes his oath, so they have two months to do something to change it!

No news as of this morning. I'm going to call the imaging place and see what is happening, my doctor's office just says they'll call but then they don't let me know what's happening. Hopefully I will know something by this afternoon.

Have a good day. Love you

Well, I called the imaging center and they said that the results were at my doctor's office, they'd been faxed over. While I was talking to her she faxed them over again. Hopefully they were going to the right Dr.'s office, even though they were sending them to the right doctor! I called the Dr's office to let them know that I had called the imaging center, that they had faxed them over again, and please let me know what they say! Thanks for your prayers. <3

    Good morning Ladies!
Our days sure slip by quickly. We will be into the holidays again in a few minutes!

Oh no, Missy! Those things hit where they may and do it quickly. Glad you have avoided it and pray that you continue to do so. I've been so blessed to stay away from such things mostly due to my isolated life. It's a good thing I get along well with me.

Kim, hope you get a call, and needed answers today! I cancelled my two appointments this week. I was in so much pain and they were both afternoon appointments and I couldn't deal with them. It's a real struggle to get out and go ...more so as time passes.

Well, my chore list awaits me....so I'll have my coffee and get to it. Love you all and you remain in my prayers. May Joy sparkers abound in this new day.

I'm so sorry your pain is back so badly. Will keep praying for all my ladies!

I got the results but asked for the report to be sent to my patient portal so I could have specifics. It sounds bad, but actually it's fairly normal. I have several cysts and lesions on my pancreas. Only 1% of these cysts become cancerous. All but one cyst is small, the one is on the edge of medium-sized, but that's still small because large is 6 cm, mine is 1.8 cm; that's probably the one that the CT scan picked up. In my research I learned that these cysts are often accidentally found when an abdominal scan for something else is being done - like mine. More people probably have them but since they don't usually cause symptoms the doctor's don't know to look for them. I'll get another MRI in 6 months to make sure that there are no changes.

I found out yesterday that my drug plan with only refill my pain meds for one week at a time. I get that extra one pill per day for trouble during the day so that will help since I don't always need it. One pill doesn't help, so I will save those single pills up for a bad day and then take two! I guess they don't want me to become addicted - but I've been taking them for around 15 years, so you'd think that would have already happened! LOL!

Y'all take care! Keep your eyes fixed firmly on Jesus!

    Whew! Finally!

I got that the last 2-3 times on the Tylenol 3 and 4 as well. 1 week's worth. Just driving to the pharmacy was a hardship! Same here....when I'd go 3 months without a request for a refill, the chance of addiction runs a bit low. Now if I was to get something that actually blocked the pain, I might get a little happy.

Boy, I'm with you on that one, sister! Tramadol cuts the pain in half for me, but doesn't take it away. It makes the pain tolerable. Mom and her sister had side effects when they took it, but I haven't ever noticed any - and I am also not addicted (around 15 years after my first taking it). If I don't need it, I don't use it!

We are in the 70's again. Phew, my fan in my office was put up so I am having to use a note pad to cool myself off! I loved when we were in the 60's (which once would have been when I put on my sweatshirts and pants), but short sleeves work in those temps this time around! I have a flannel sheet and thin blanket on my bed and most nights I have the blanket tossed aside and at times find myself without anything over me because I just get too hot! Wah! I loved the weight of all those blankets in the winter-time! LOL. I may get there yet.

After reading the tests there are two 1.8 cm cysts. One of the smaller cysts seems to have the potential to become cancerous, but they don't see any kind of aggressive behavior in the cysts so we are being watchful for right now. They suggested that for the next four years I get an MRI every 6 months, if nothing happens we can go to once a year for two years and then if we are still good, every two years for the next four years. Eight years keeping an eye on it - phew! I'll be 73 by then, but actually my hope is I won't see the end of the first six years because Jesus is going to return and take us home.

I'm so happy we have a reprieve with Trump being in office. I pray that he will be what he promised he would be. He has the senate and possibly the house so he should be able to accomplish a lot. I hope stopping this woke stuff will be something he takes care of early. It's ridiculous! If someone asks me what my pronouns are I will tell them, "The ones God gave me when I was born!" I was reading something on the cysts yesterday and several times they mention "your assigned birth gender". Your gender isn't assigned - it's what you are! You're a boy because your genes and your plumbing say so. You are a girl for the same reasons. God formed you in your mother's womb, the Holy Spirit was there at your conception - creating you for God's purposes, for God's plan for you! I'm happy to be who God made me!

Oh, I so agree. I'm praying for him as are many others and we know how hard he was fought against on every decision in round 1....I pray the Holy Spirit will close mouths and still hands that go against his upcoming term.

Oh my! Every 6 months. Oh I'd be whining all the way. Oh wait...I whine and don't go. I agree on the pain "relief"....it takes the ragged edge off enough for some function but not much more. I've been using the Tylenol/Advil mix of late. I only use it 1-2 times a day. I don't take it much at night, now that I am sleeping so much better with no visitors to wreck my rest and I only struggle when I have to get up to go to the bathroom.

We had an awesome storm last night! Heavy rain, thunder, wind, lightening, and of course flood watches. Today...we are sunny and bright!

After 3 messages to the seller about my misdelivered item....I at least got a response...like from China it seems from the name and language used? They promise to "take care of it"....my last message asked for reshipment or refund. This has never happened with UPS before and I get a lot of things delivered.

I got a notice that my bug guy will be here Monday for my third follow up. I look forward to his "bug free" DX. That means I need to buckle down and get my spot tidied up again. I'll tend to things over the weekend.

My phone has been acting hinky the past couple of weeks...can't load pictures to my computer files....oh well.
I'm going to see if I can get a little work out of me....and watch some TV. Have a good afternoon/evening at your spots on the map!
