Hello! Today started out cold and then warmed up. My lawn mowing guy showed up this afternoon and mowed with the grass catcher which cleaned up the leaves. Takes a long time to do the lawn when you have to stop to dump out the grass catcher all the time. Tomorrow is forecast to be a cold and rainy day. But better than a cold and snowy day. I took some craft supplies to the library this morning and checked out the books they were holding for me. I have an advance entrance ticket for tomorrow’s exchange. I might not go because there is nothing I need. We will see.

Barbie, oh what a bout of illness! I am glad things are straightening out…..and that is amazing that while ill, you still got in 10,000 steps each day.

Jackie, that puzzle looks difficult. I hope you have the stamina to finish it. And Jackie and Sandy, we never rolled down any hills when I was a kid. We rode our bikes all the time. It was fun to find a way to get to the top of the hill (it was easier a block over) and then cruise down the hill ever so fast. That was great.

I am glad you heard from Anne and I am glad she is getting along okay.

Sandy, a day for you. All right! I got pretty much all of my groceries yesterday. It’s nice to have options when preparing meals. Going to Memphis for Thanksgiving. That is different.

    Be safe everyone.

Happy Saturday! :) I went to Robby's karate tournament this morning and then took everyone to Mc Donald's to celebrate. He came in third place so we are very proud of him. After Church I am going to a comedy club with Cheryl and two others. She has free tickets but there is a two drink minimum. It should be fun. I think it is the same one that we went to two for the bachelor and bachelorette party for Rob and Lisa.

Lin, your riding down the hills at full speed sounds dangerous but we all did something dangerous when we were young. I did several things and lived through them all, thank goodness. The reason I am going to Memphis is because my daughter's whole family is going to her in laws house including my grandson and his wife from Hawaii which means I will get to see my great granddaughter for the second time. She is already two and my daughter told me they are announcing their second pregnancy.
I invited myself but was welcomed, I however, will stay in a hotel since all the bedrooms are taken. I am fine with that as I like my privacy.

Jackie, my goodness that is a big hard puzzle. Good luck and take a picture when you complete it.

    Have a good day.

Good evening. I stayed home today missing the craft supply swap. I was not feeling at all well overnight and was up a few times with terrible spasms and drenched in sweat. Must have been something I ate. I was kind of low key today, reading, watching videos and low intensity exercise. I signed up for another online card class from several creators who have offered classes of various types over the past 12 years. This year they aren’t going to have any live get togethers or classes, everything is going to be pre-recorded. I will miss the conversations. The class releases will start next week but they released some more background information today.

Sandy, another fun day and evening—hope you had lots of laughs. Wow, second baby!!! That’s a big announcement.

Jackie, hope you are well. Hugs for George and Betty.

Happy Sunday! :) Another day to myself. The comedy club was fun, somewhat risqué but still funny.
Cheryl and I are hoping to go on a vacation in January or February. We would like an all inclusive beach resort. I have a friend who just started a travel agency so I am asking her to help us find one that won't break us and is safe. We shall see.

Lin, sorry you weren't feeling well and hope you are better today.

    Jackie, busy as usual.

    Have a good day.

Hello, happy Sunday. Church was very good today. Some walking about and one cardio class, reading another library book and exchanging messages with a couple of friends.

Sandy, a bit more time to yourself and now planning a vacation. Wow! Thinking of a week? Or longer?

    Wishing everyone the best.

I’m sorry I haven't posted since Friday. Saturday turned into a long day of visiting friends which was fun and I took George and Betty with me so didn’t have to rush home. I don’t know how you do so much socialising Sandy and remain full of energy! I was shattered by the time I got to bed so Today has been low key with a short walk before watching our Remembrance service with the Royal family and thousands of our veterans. Just a handful of survivors from my parents’ generation still with us and wonderful to see them in their bright red Chelsea uniforms.
It has been very mild so I spent a few hours this afternoon pruning shrubs and picking crab apples that I will use in a chutney recipe.

A beautiful tea service Lin. ☺️

Nearly midnight and definitely time for bed. Betty is already snoring!

Happy Monday/Veterans Day! :) A nice sunny day here but another day of doing nothing other than ride my bike. I have caught up on most of my shows but still have a few to go. I am already thinking about Christmas presents and got a list from Lisa for the kids. I will wait until Black Friday and see if any go on sale online.
Jackie you keep pretty busy yourself and most of yours is physical work. I do what I can and enjoy what I do most of the time.
Lin we are thinking of just a few days just to get away for a short time. I wouldn't mind a week but I don't think Cheryl wants to go that long but we will see.

Have a great day and remember our Veterans.

Happy Monday. We are experiencing temperature extremes again, this time from mild to very cold. At least we are finally seeing sunshine again and that was perfect for a longer walk on the moors. A mist drifting in the valley was beautiful but soon disappeared as the sun came up. Walking back to my car I met David talking to a group of holidaymakers from Switzerland who were about to set off on a trek. It was an opportunity to make a plan with David for another extra hospital visit of his, this time a 2nd blood test on Friday when Charmaine will be staying with me so I suggested we take a detour on the way back and visit the Plymouth Barbican area for something to eat. It is where the Pilgrims departed for America on the Mayflower and the original steps down from the quay are still there.
Housework took over the rest of my day and I’ve collected 2 loads of laundry to wash overnight and early in the morning to hang out in precious sunshine!
I am hoping no news is good news with Anne and she has rested over the weekend but will email her in the morning to check how she is.
Nothing worth watching on tv so I’m running a YouTube 80’s music mix video. Seems like only yesterday!! 😮🙃

    Take care and keep warm.

Hello. I watched SkyNews early this morning and saw some of the lovely ceremonies for the Day of Remembrance. We used to purchase paper poppies from vets and their supporters each year. I haven’t seen anyone collecting donations for years. I always think of them. My dad and his friend went to a free breakfast for Veterans each year. That was about all my dad did as a vet.

I have been reading manically to try to get through all the books I have checked out at the library. Making some progress and enjoying the books.

Well, first day of that card class. Gosh, 3 creators posted videos and 2 of the 3 actually posted several. Just too long to take everything in!

Tomorrow morning will be quite cold and I have a dentist’s appointment. Not a favorite of mine.

Jackie, your trip to Plymouth with David sounds as if a bit of fun will be included. Yes!

Sandy, a bit of time to yourself again. Yippee! A week long vacation isn’t that long and since getting where you are going can be stressful, you need more than just a couple of days! Hope you find a great deal.

    Be safe everyone.

Happy Tuesday! :) Our fall weather is still pleasant with sun shining. Nothing much going on again today until later then I am going with Cheryl and Cathy to the movie theatre to see the new Tom Hanks movie. Cheryl gets all these deals for food and tickets so we go cheap. lol Working on finding a vacation in January. Still not sure for how long but we will figure it out.

Lin, do you read more than one book at a time? The American Legion still has poppies for donations. In fact one of the men posted the story of the poppy. I also see Veterans on corners asking for donations for the poppy.

Hello. It was a cold day here. I went to my dental appointment and left my coat and hat on as the wind seemed to be blowing through the lobby. I went to retrieve my mail just after dark and it was really cold….. I put on a heavy winter coat for my walk down the block. Am still on the evening live stream and I didn’t get through the day’s recorded videos of card classes for Day 2. I have a bit left to read on the most recent library book. I did finish my cardio classes though.

Sandy, sometimes I read several books at the same time. If the type in a book is too small or too crunched up my eyes get tired and I will shift to another book for a while. And no, I don’t get the large print books on a regular basis.

Thanks for the story of the poppy. And I hope you enjoyed the movie.

Hi Jackie. I must have missed you.

    See you tomorrow.

:)Lin, what a great teapot. I usually read more than one book at a time. I have a physical book that I read in the bathroom, an e book that I read on the Kindle app on my phone in bed at night or anytime I have an extra moment, and sometimes an audio book that I listen to while I walk or ride the exercise bike. I consider it a quick check of my brain that I can keep the three stories separate and know what's going on in each one along with whatever I'm watching on TV (The Marlowe Murders).

:) Jake's daughter is visiting this week. She had flown from to Chicago for a professional conference, then flew to Seattle and rented a car and came over here. She slept here Monday night and then moved to an Airbnb yesterday afternoon. She flies home on Friday.

:) I am feeling better but still not completely over the bad cold I've had. Fortunately I'm well enough to take the dogs out and keep them occupied.

Happy Wednesday! :) The movie was a little confusing but good, but I love Tom Hanks. Nothing going on this afternoon but I will be spending the night at kiddos. I thought about just driving in the morning but I would have to be up at 5 to get there by 6 and I am not a morning person. Still looking for our get away in January. Cheryl doesn't like the idea of using my friend who is a travel agent, she said we could do better by ourselves. I will let her find a place and see if I agree.

Barbie, your mind must be very sharp to read three stories at once. Not sure I would enjoy that as I have to concentrate on the story I am reading. How nice Jake's daughter is visiting, that should cheer him up.
Sorry you are not up to par but you keep on going.

Lin, we are getting your chilly weather but not quite as cold. I do have the heat on though so not that warm. Good luck on finishing your books and good for you with all those cardio classes.

Have a good day and stay healthy.

    Hello!

Barbie, thanks for the info on how many books you read at one time. Yippee! It is good to have brain challenges. I find it a bit challenging to work on learning 2 different line dances each week. One dance this week can leave you in the dust if you let your mind wander just a bit. The instructor lost her place once, we were just finishing the pattern and it was time to start again but she forgot the first steps. Very unusual for her. I hope you are having a good visit with Jake’s daughter this week. I am glad you are feeling better although not 100% yet. Keep improving!

Sandy, good idea to spend the night. Getting up really early isn’t always a great idea. Get a good night’s sleep.

I hope you and Cheryl find just the right place for a vacation.

Hoping all is well with everyone.

Happy Thursday! :) Drove here in the dark and rain last night, it wasn't fun. I did go to sleep early but also woke up around 5. The kids are gone now so I will try to take a nap. Ewok stole my tortilla that I had on the counter, little thief. Luckily, they had tortillas in the frig so all is good.
Cheryl came up with a good idea if it works out. Her sister and family go to St. Martin the end of January and she said there were two open beds if Cheryl and I wanted to go. Cheryl is finding out the details and we will make a decision.

Lin, when my kids were young a few of us moms took our kids to a dude ranch. They had a lot of line dances and barn dances that we all loved. Those were some fun years.

Hope you all have a good day.

Hi! Another overcast day, damp, but no rain. The extended forecast includes SNOW! Maybe that will be I ccurte. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mother day of cardio classes, reading books, striving to catch up on the card class videos. I guess I am not an adventuresome person. When a video includes designs and/or techniques that don’t interest me, I pass for the time being. Maybe another day.

I finished one book this morning and blasted through another book this afternoon. Ready to start a new one tomorrow.

Sandy, a trip to St. Martin with family sounds great! Hope it works out.

    Take care everyone.

:)Sandy, going over the night before is smart. You don't have to worry about traffic or something making you late.

:)Lin, learning two line dances in the same day is too much for me. I used to go to a workshop every June where they taught many new dances. It was fun and very challenging. Now I like dancing the same dances over and over. If something seems boring, I find a new piece of music for dancing the familiar steps.

:'( Jake's computer quit working on Monday. His handy computer fixing friend across the street came and got it and declared it not fixable. After much hand wringing, Jake decided to go to Costco and buy a new laptop. His daughter went with him and I urged him to choose what he wanted and not just look at the price. Later daughter helped him get started on the computer. The only trouble so far is not getting the camera to work on Zoom. He'll have his friend come over and look at it later.

:'( My walking and dancing friend can't come over for dancing today. She has another doctor appointment scheduled. Her daughters and doctor seem to be pushing for her to see a variety of specialists. I know her memory is showing some blank spots so that might be what they are worried about. We haven't walked together all week because of weather and Jake's daughter's visit so our communication has just been by text.

:'( Jake's daughter is on her way home now. She came over at 6 this morning for coffee and is now driving to the airport (two hours away) to return the rental car and fly home to northern California. It was fun having her here. She spent time on the phone and computer doing meetings and counseling sessions for her work and talking to her husband and teen age sons. She is clearly the sandwich generation right now. She is a darling and we are so fortunate to have her in our lives.

Happy Friday! :) Slept good in my own bed. Laundry is almost done and nothing but riding my bike after that. A good day to relax.

Barbie, I hope Jake's friend can figure out the camera on the laptop. Unfortunately, the desktop my son suggested for me does not have a camera so I bought an external one for our zoom calls. It serves the purpose so I am happy. My laptop does have a camera but I never think to use it for our calls.
I am glad you were happy with Jake's daughter's visit, step children can be difficult as in my case.
Sorry about your friend and hope she gets some answers.

Lin, please no mention of the S word before Thanksgiving. This is why I don't like to travel around the holidays and hope all goes smooth. St. Martin might not work after all as the place Cheryl's sister is renting only has two murphy beds in the living room available and I am not comfortable with that. I would really prefer and all inclusive but I am kind of leaving it up to Cheryl as she is more difficult than me.

Where oh where is our Jackie?

    Have a good day.

Hello, it is warmer today and we have sunshine again. Nice fall day.

I need a few more minutes of cardio so will look for one of my favorite YouTube videos or routines on Burnalong. Meanwhile, still doing my usual boring things, reading, watching card making videos, starting some test card projects, cooking some veggies and sending a few emails to friends. Everyone seems to be very busy and have plans all the way through the end of the year. My life is not conducted at that pace. People are having holiday family gatherings this weekend and will be on to visiting with other people and/or taking vacations in December.

Sandy, we have a new morning weatherman and he didn’t use the word you prefer to avoid. He just put clouds in several days of next week and said there was a chance of precipitation. 🙃 Wow, that accommodation wouldn’t work for me either. Going on vacation, you need a nice place. Happy hunting. 🤞🏻

Barbie, doing familiar dances is a great thing to do, no worries if there’s a skip in the video and intense concentration isn’t needed. Glad you find what suits you. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Sorry Jake needed to purchase a new computer but it was fortunate that his daughter was there and was able to shop with him. And having a neighbor who is knowledgeable about all things related to electronics is magnificent.

Jackie was making a trip to Plymouth today with David wasn’t she? As to other days, either very busy or problems with her Internet service.

I sent an electronic card to Anne this afternoon. She sent back an email saying she’s not able to open the card and will ask Michael for help when he gets home. She said she is having problems using her iPad. She sounded okay though. I think she has an appointment with her heart doctor soon.

    Be safe everyone.

Happy Saturday! :) Chilly but sunny day. Zoom call with family, ride my bike, then Church later and one stop at Walmart for my coffee creamer. That's my day as of now.

Lin, I am one of those people who has a full calendar and wonder sometimes how I can be so busy. Between doctor's appointments and socializing I am one busy lady. My next doctor's appointment is for my back. The pain doctor I was using has left this practice to go out of state. My last injection was in June so I now have to see the Orthopedic to get another order for the shots. I am sure he will do x rays but the pain is becoming stronger so I know I need an injection.
Glad you heard from Anne and do hope she gets back to us one day, I sure do miss her.

Hopefully, we hear from Jackie soon, it seems like it has been so long. I do hope she is okay.

    Have a good day.

Hello Sneakers. I’ve had a really busy few days because Charmaine with 2 of her children decided to visit me on Wednesday unexpectedly because planned massages had been cancelled so they wanted to enjoy a cream tea and drove from their Air BandB in Devon but a road traffic accident held them up. They did manage to arrive before the tea shop closed and we had a fun catch up before a short walk and their return journey. Charmaine then returned alone Thursday for her planned stay with me. Yesterday she came with me when I took David for another hospital appointment where he was told he has the all clear for next week’s surgery and before leaving Plymouth I drove us to the sea front where we sat outside in glorious warm sunshine drinking coffee and watching the ships go by. After dropping David back home it was dog walking time on the moors, then Charmaine cooked one of her tasty curries and we sat and chatted until late.
Today we took George and Betty for a long walk then enjoyed Cornish pasties sitting in my car on a top section of moors, followed by a small amount of shopping. Charmaine cooked another amazing meal and has now gone to bed so time for me to post before my own bed calls. She leaves tomorrow so I will do as little as possible! The weather is turning colder!!
I have caught up with posts and will write properly tomorrow.

    Keep safe and stay warm.

Hello, a busy day. I am suddenly in overdrive with my holiday card design. I spent the day inking and die cutting. I have some green paper ordered to cut out little Christmas trees. Hope it arrives soon. Cutting out many different options using scrap paper and will work with the samples on layout. If I had decided exactly what I was using, it would still take a few days to cut out everything needed for the front of the cards. I checked and the green paper which was supposedly shipped this past week is still showing as USPS waiting for package……👀

Jackie, so good to hear from you! What a surprise you had on Wednesday!

Sandy, I hope you can find a new pain doctor and that you get a new prescription for the shots.

I did hear from Anne today and apparently Michael is coming down with the flu. She was going to make her own breakfast and he was resting. I was sorry to hear that.

Well, I am tired. I have been cranking that handle on the die cutting/embossing machine all day.

    Be safe everyone.

Happy Sunday! :) Lazy morning but nothing going on today except for bike. My trial eye has been bothering me so I may call and get it checked tomorrow. The last time I was there they said my eye pressure was high and if any problems call them. I did call the doctor during the week but after answering his questions he thinks it is dry eye. I am not so sure as it still hurts and feels like something is in my eye. It will probably take longer to get into see him then it will be before it heals. I just don't want to lose sight in that eye. I also think it could be my glasses but that's a different doctor. Will be so happy when this trial is over but that's not until next summer. Ugh.

Lin, I am trying to get holiday ready with the kids presents but decided to wait until black Friday to see if any of it goes on sale. As of now Amazon said a couple of my things have gone up in price which doesn't make me happy. I go see the orthopedic Tuesday so will see what he says.

Jackie, glad to hear you are busy and not ill or without internet. Sitting outside by the ocean sounds wonderful.

    Have a good day.

Hello, another day of die cutting but didn’t get as much accomplished today because my arm and shoulder are quite sore from yesterday. Watched church online and did an exhausting cardio mix class. Finished another book. Also crushed boxes as we have recycling pickup this week.

And wow, the day is about over, it is getting dark. The forecast for the next few days is a mix of rain and high winds. Well, at least no one has said it will be below freezing. That is good.

Sandy, happy present hunting. I wonder if there will be some opportunities to purchase before Black Friday. And I hope you get some relief for the pain in your eye. Some companies have been having sales the last couple of weeks and the coming week looks like there will be more of the same.

    Take care everyone.

Charmaine has driven home via her son’s university to drop off a Cornish pasty for his lunch. His residence actually supplies 3 meals a day but she thought she would treat him. She messaged this evening to let me know she got home safely. After she left I took a short local walk with George and Betty then decided to do some gardening as the sun was shining. It is cooler and tonight it has started to rain but that’s good because I planted bulbs bought a week ago. Linda flew out of London yesterday so should by now have reached the elephant sanctuary in Africa she has volunteered to work at. My life should now settle down until I take David into his hospital very early next Saturday for his hip replacement and bring his dog Hattie home with me.

    Time for bed! 😴

Happy Monday! :) Another day at home before my busy week begins. Dinner with Cheryl and Cathy tomorrow, lunch with old friends from when I lived in the house with Babe Wednesday, Thursday is Lisa's birthday so after my meeting I will go there to decorate with kiddos to surprise mommy and have pizza and cake. Friday is Cathy's birthday so we are taking her out to eat and Sunday Cheryl, Marisa and I are taking a nun who is a good friend out to dinner for her birthday which is today. I might explode from all that food but I have been riding my bike faithfully and am down lower than my goal weight so hopefully I won't gain it all back. I am sure I can fit in an hour bike ride before all these meals. lol
Just bought tickets for a Magical Christmas drive through to see Christmas lights at Santa's Village in December. After all the lights there is a photo with Santa and even a tube slide for the kiddos. They will also sell hot chocolate and funnel cakes. Kids should love it.

Jackie, I am glad you had a good time with Charmaine but time to rest up for David's appointment and taking care of his dog. You are an amazing friend. Wow, your friend Linda is going to experience a once in a lifetime adventure, it sounds so wonderful.

Lin, my eye seems to be better today. I kind of flushed it out yesterday and think I was right with having something in there. Of course being on the computer all day doesn't help but if it starts being painful again I will call the doctor. You are constantly busy as well doing all your cards and cardio, do you ever just sit down?

    Have a good day all.

Late evening here and I can hear the wind has picked up. Rained most of the day so I only went out once for a short walk with George. Betty didn’t want to go so, because it was also cold, I didn’t force her. I have done a small amount of housework and later, a batch of Bolognaise sauce and will freeze some. It is supposed to become colder overnight but I have no plans this week other than a visit from David with Hattie after walking Wednesday to get her used to my home before staying over at the weekend. I’m hoping Brady won’t mind! 🙀

Goodness Sandy, many meals and great get togethers. I thought I was the only one eating cake!! Well done for keeping your weight healthy. It’s never easy but you seem to manage to control things and I’m sure it helps you stay active. I keep eye drops from the pharmacy for when my eyes become dry and uncomfortable. I’m told drinking plenty of water helps too but of course, you are going through a trial so there’s more going on with your eyes.

A busy time for you Lin! High winds and rain doesn’t sound good… more like our English weather. Stay safe.

Bed time for me and the pets. 😴

Hello. I am going to quit due cutting for today. Too dark in my work area now. In fact, the days are very short! I need another work light! I lost one of my dies for a while today. I did a couple of cardio classes and put my iPad on the corner of my work area. After class, I moved my iPad and was going to go back to work but not die! I checked the floor, all of the work area, the waste paper basket, hunted and hunted but no luck. I took a break to clean out some stuff from my refrigerator, I purchase lots of organic baby carrots and with the E. coli warning, I checked all of my packages and decided to toss the carrots left in containers. Then I went back to hunting for the pesky die. Found it. Apparently the iPad case, which has a magnetic closure, grabbed the die as I moved it after cardio class and as I walked it to the other side of the room it fell off and was hidden in a fluffy throw rug. 👀

So back to work. Got quite a bit accomplished, checked and my green paper should arrive tomorrow at some point. Now to work diligently!!

Sandy, enjoy all of your activities this week. I know you will.

Jackie, I made a trip to the library this afternoon and it was indeed a very rainy day and the winds were quite strong. I thought my umbrella would be swept away! The rain may end overnight. Fine with me. Brady, be kind to your guest this weekend.

    Be safe everyone.

Happy Tuesday! :) Have a couple of errands to do before my back doctor appointment and later dinner with Cheryl and Cathy. It is supposed to get to 60 today but I don't see any sun. I hope to get time to ride my bike but will see how long the doctor takes.

Lin, glad you found the die, it is so frustrating when things like that happen. I do that with my glasses quite often. lol

Jackie, will take your advice and try drinking more water, thank you.

Have a good day my friends, we have stuck together a long time.

Happy Tuesday from here too! I have been working on cards all day with a bit of online shopping and online grocery shopping. The weather forecast has changed again. Strong winds through Thursday apparently. Making progress bit by bit. Things are going on sale everyday now. I am joining in a new product reveal tonight YouTube. This is from the company I always catch up with on Tuesday evenings. But they are having a site wide sale tonight starting at the same time new products are revealed and they are also included in the markdown. That is astounding. That has not happened in the years I have shopped with them. Logging in early and heating up the credit card. 😄😁😄

Sandy, I hope your doctor’s appointment went well. Now enjoy all the eats and get togethers the reminder of the week.

Jackie, how is your weather now? We have a bit of sunshine right now. I just heard about the break in at residence where William and Kate reside. Odd that some non-official news outlet made it headline news. Well, at least it was on SkyNews when I clicked on it this morning.

Well, time to sign in for some exercise. Be safe everyone.
