My mom said she wanted to come visit me and see her great granddaughter. I was shocked because she hasn't been to my house in a very long time. So, my sweet grandbaby and I made her some sweets, and got her gifts since her birthday is today. This will be the last time I answer her text asking to come see me. So sad for my grandbaby...she never even asks how she is doing!!!
She favors my sister and her kids over me. She sent me a text today asking me to come to her house that my sister and family will be there. I think ya'll know what my answer was! Oh well...my sons got to enjoy a delicious pumpkin roll that was made for her! ugh
I'll never understand how someone with cancer can be so cold.
I have to let go.....heartbreaking but true.

    praying for ya'll

Dr. Phil would ask...."what's the payoff" to her callus behavior and ill treatment of you? Does hurting you make her happy? Give her a sense of power, control, joy? God knows her heart and the hardness of it. He certainly knows yours and the pain of your life. You remain in my prayers, Missy and I'm so sorry this is hurting you even more now, for your granddaughter....

Ooo, here's hoping for a good report from the bug guy!

It seems that Biden and Harris have disappeared off of the news feeds (I only watch Fox, but they watch everyone else). I watch bits and pieces because much of it is the same over and over - I just want to make sure I don't miss something important that happens (like Trump getting shot at). Oh, it was so funny when Biden was giving his congrats to Trump speech - he was smiling and all happy and he didn't confuse his words or stumble over them once! Hmmm???

Doing well today. Still pain in right side, but feeling well otherwise. Oh yeah, those night time trips to the bathroom do make getting a full night's sleep difficult. I need to get back into the habit of taking my water supplements every day, which includes cranberry powder (that way I don't get all the sugar and additives from the cranberry juice, and I get more cranberry!) I also use my greens powder, my magnesium threonate powder (which I desperately need right now because I'm getting forgetful again), and a potassium powder. I add a squeeze of my no cal, no sugar water flavoring as well! It is delicious!

Oh, Wade brought me home a bottle of Dog-n-Suds root beer! Took me right back to my car-hopping days! It just tastes so much better than other root beers I've had. My Grandpa and Nana owned two Dog-n-Suds and each one ran their own restaurant. I started to work there when I was 13 doing background stuff, and when I was 16 I started car-hopping. It was during a time before McDonald's had become so big so we were the only place to get something in our small town and even surrounding areas!

Well, I better let you get to what you were doing. I am looking forward to worship tomorrow and hope y'all are able to have a blessed day worshipping the Lord too. Love you

Thank you, Bren. I appreciate your kind words.
Kim, as far as "Bye-done" goes...an actor/actors have been playing as him. He paid for his crimes against humanity/treason.
How can we have a 2024 election when 2020 was stolen?
Trump has always been our CIC. He never left!
He will be the 19th CIC of the republic. Why would he be the president of a bankrupt cabal corporation?
He said we caught them all!!! Wait until everyone realizes that 98% or more of congress/senate is gone! This is a military operation, and I'm so thankful we are close to the end!!!
If ya'll have money in the stock market...get it out!!! I put ours in silver and gold years ago. The investment was well worth it for sure!!!! Stock market will crash and burn.
We will have new money backed by silver and gold.
This whole operation has been about saving the children!
Thank God and our military for saving them!

Bren, have you had the bug guy do his inspection yet? Hope you are doing alright!

Missy, the government is a huge mess! We might get a reprieve with Trump in there if he is able to keep his promises, but we know the Bible and we know what will happen in the last days, and at some point America becomes a non-entity, not mentioned in the end times nations that will be players in the great battle. It is interesting how many of the nations that were flexing their muscles before the election are backing down a bit now! There's a huge caravan of illegals wanting to get in before Trump takes over - but they will end up just going back - Lord willing! The Lord has a plan and it will come to fruition - we need to be ready to do what He has for us to do in this time!

Doing well other than arthritis pain, but it is tolerable today - praise the Lord for His mercy and goodness!

Hope y'all have a good week. Love you!

He came early, Kim. About 9:45 instead of 11:00 which was fine. I had the door open and was ready for him. He was very pleased with my report of seeing/catching only 4 bugs the day after his last follow up and none since. We did see 2 babies when he removed the mattress and box spring and that was it. He was very happy with my compliance in getting rid of all the things I was asked to as that helped a great deal in total extermination. He will do one more visit, put one of their heavy duty encasements on the box spring (I have one from Wal-Mart on it now) and consider me bug free! I am so happy. He said my case wasn't as bad as he'd expected and he had one where he had to do 7 follow ups. I told him that made me feel better!

I've been in a lot of pain today, after working yesterday in the kitchen. A "work day" normally requires a two day recovery. Sigh....I'm not caught up yet, chore wise or otherwise but hope to make it happen this week.
I got 3 new 18 gallon tubs to play in my walk in closet with. It's become a catch all of late and if sorted, checked and released...I can give away some things and clear up some more space.

I have a check ready for cash again and need to get gas in the car so plan to do that tomorrow...and make a stop for ice and salad goods at least.

I remember Trump's first run when so many protested, "he's not MY president" etc. and he was hard fought on every policy he worked at. Biden said his first 100 days in office would be spent undoing everything Trump did and he was a good puppet....until he wasn't anymore and they were sure they could hoist Harris on us and make us take her.. All the "tools" he put in offices helped wreak havoc, cripple our nation and make a laughing stock out of America. Including his "running mate"....his ultimate "box checker".

Have a good evening at your spots....I plan to at mine. I had a nice nap...in spite of my new pillows being too puffy and slipping all over the place. I would like a tea...which requires emptying my ice trays. Why is that such a chore?nbpwgfplwa62.png

Am doing ok - was at the emergency again on Saturday night - only a 3 hour stay - had blood work and a cat scan - the doctor understands the pain that is still there but the tests show things seem to be ok. So he has written the surgeon asking him to review what should be done next.

I know the Lord is in control and slowly the pain is going away - I just need to take each day as a gift from him, lean in on Him for strength and listen to His voice as He gives me direction on how to take care of my body. I am off most medications now (at one time was on about 15 and only 7 now) so that is good - and am hearing the Lord instruct me in the ways to eat - what to avoid and to eat to heal the body. I think most of seem to forget that food can heal but we tend to want to eat that which makes us sick. I know I have to stay away from bread and am difficulty with it - but I don't like the discomfort I have when I do eat it - so am taking it one day at a time to avoid it. Eating more fruit such as cold green grapes which are really helping along with blueberries.

Now to get the movement increased - starting just with 5 minutes at a time - walking one end of the house to the other for 5 minutes really does help - praying that the end of December I will be strong enough to get in 10 minutes at one time.

Agreeing in prayer with you Marilyn, on the increase to 10 minutes of walking at a time. Prayers for comfort, relief from the extreme pain and rest in Jesus.

My cardiologist appointment is rescheduled for the 26th, and the following day, I see my endo guy. My cardiologist insists on seeing me in order to get refills on my meds. He gave me a reprieve back in September with agreeing to his terms but did not comply. Nor did I follow up with my PCP....I'll get lab work done while out tooling about on the 26th.

Bren, Bren, Bren - we need to have a chat in the noodle shed about your problem with complying with your doctors! You've actually been doing fairly good, at least in spurts - now we need you to get like Marilyn and make it a part of your life! Hey, is this your once a year fill-up of the car???

I'm so glad that things are looking better, Marilyn. I've been praying for you and for healing and strength! I've also been praying for your family, this has to be hard for them watching mom and honey going through this. Have you ever tried something like a sweet potato or spinach tortilla? The spinach ones may have wheat, but often they use potato starch or another kind of flour. Is it the wheat that gives you trouble? Or is it the carbs and then they turn to sugar that causes the problem? I've been eating low to no-carb tortillas as my sandwich bread and haven't had bread bread for quite a few months.

I did gain a lb eating whatever I wanted to this weekend, but I'm working on doing better this week. I did have a small slice of pumpkin pie (the last we have from weeks ago, we put some in the freezer and have been eating off of that. A Sam's Club pie goes on forever!) yesterday! Nothing more until Friday night which is the beginning of my weekend where treats are allowed, I just have to be careful it's not too much! I've been enjoying my Greek yogurt, apple, and dry roasted peanuts salad. Wade made some no-bake pumpkin cookies (they don't stay together though) and I crumble that up into my yogurt as well. It's more like moist granola, but soooo good! A snack I like is apple squares with cheese squares - yummers, especially when the cheese is Gouda.

Oh my, I got chatty! Hope y'all have a very good day. You two ladies REST! Love you

Can we have coffee with that chat in the shed? LOL....I know....I do better with AM appointments and this one is at 10:00....I checked to make sure of the time. So I can go to the lab first and get that out of the way. Yes...I do.... need some of Marilyn's discipline.
Yes! last year, it was in August and I still have a quarter tank in it. Next month she goes for an inspection and oil change.

I'm following a couple of folks on FB who do simple exercises for seniors...love them. Love easy moves that don't hurt me! However, I DO miss walking...and may need to clear my path to the door for a proper indoor track again. Inside, I can sit quickly when the legs go numb.1zhdl1ow0qsu.jpg I'm able to post pictures by saving them to my desktop...was playing around.

I'm putting some kitchen things together for a lady...and need to get her pick up time set. Some of the things are from my Mom's kitchen, that I've had and not used in going on 12 years so that will free up some space.

Bread: I've found a new 30 calorie one...it's light Italian. I really like it. Had some this morning and will use it for a grilled cheese soon.. I don't do bread a lot but mostly use Sara Lee's 45 calorie when I do...and I use the low carb tortillas. Had those yesterday with deli ham and provolone, toasted in a skillet.

Nuts: I'd got a container of mixed from Amazon and discovered I can hardly eat them with my two extra teeth missing...so I packed them in my last give away bags for that family.
The pumpkin cookie crumble thing sounds good! I love pumpkiny and ginger bready things. Yogurt: I may need to toss mine...I'll scope it out. It's been a good while since I actually ate any.

I'm off to watch a bit of TV...will "see" you here tomorrow....Love and prayers....

Yes, we can have coffee in the shed! We're going to have to find a nice bistro set for in there so we can do these chats - but then again, if we are all doing good we don't need them! LOL!

That's a nice long runway for taking a walk. Mine goes in circles through the living room and kitchen. I stopped doing the two hallways because my leg doesn't like those sharp turns. I need to get busy with my 1 lb weights again!

Love y'all. Enjoy time with the body tonight if you are able.

Happy Thursday, my beautiful ladies! I hope that you are doing well today. I'm doing better now! I woke with a very bad headache, the kind I used to get at least twice a week. I think it's been about 6 months since I've had one so bad that I got sick. I couldn't find my migraine medicine (I haven't taken it for at least six or seven months) so I just took the three acetaminophen and a gulp of coffee and sat quietly for about an hour. It eased up enough I was able to go back to bed for another hour and a half. (My headaches hurt worse when I am lying down). I'm getting the occasional twinge still, but praise the Lord He took it away and gave me such a long reprieve. I've had strong headaches in the time I've been taking the new meds but none that I felt like I needed my migraine med, this is the first one of those. I am so blessed.

Well, it's cooled down enough I'm in a sweatshirt, fleece leggings with my compression wraps on and I used the little heater in my office this morning! I think we are going to warm up a bit before we hit those Fall temps! I'm good with the temps right now! I think my overheating is gone, because this is chilly to me! LOL!

Love y'all. Miss you and hope you are well. Rest, Rest, Rest!

    Good morning Ladies...
Here we are in the middle of November already! I am so very thankful for each day we get and for the gift of your friendship, love and prayers.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear of the bad headache Kim, and hope it was a rare off day and I'm so glad for relief for you. May God's hand of mercy rest on you...He is so wonderful.
I haven't needed a sweatshirt in many years but I am wearing a T-shirt instead of my tank tops at the moment. Loving the lower temps and am so thankful that I get to "skip winter" as far as outings go. I will GO to my appointments as scheduled....and reschedule my PCP one....after the Noodle shed visit. LOL...and thanks for the coffee in the shed. It was due for a cleaning too.

The lady came for her things I'd gathered and I am so glad I can do this again. Other than food, I've not given things away in over a year to my buy nothing group to avoid the possibility of sharing a bug. I still check very carefully as I am packing up. It's so nice to clear up some space again.

I am really enjoying my replacement items...the bedding, desk chair, chair mats, recliner...and oh yay! My night stand was at my door when I went out to mail a bill and check yesterday's mail. God helped me get it in here and I'll get it unboxed and get the legs/knobs on it and get it set up today. I'll hang my shower curtain as well.y3no6p4cx8ct.png

Be blessed, strengthened and at peace today....Love and prayers for us all.

Ooo, pretty! Love the jungle blanket - trying to keep some of the wild in you???

Getting ready to head to my bone density test. Hoping for good results, but with all of this arthritis I'm not so sure. The Lord knows and He will give wisdom.

    Love y'all.

Last Saturday I was back at the emergency re the pain in area of appendix. Took blood work and cat scan and was told all looked ok So he wrote a letter to the surgeon for further help. Say the surgeon yesterday - he said all looks well, no signs of infection and that the pain which is only 5 minutes a day is from IBS as it would have been infected at same time. Told me what to watch for re pain - like severe pain that won't go away - then come back. Feeling so blessed as I know God is looking after me.

Now to get the eating under control to avoid pain from the hiatus hernia. Discovered that I just cant do bread (flour is so bad for us) and now I have gone 2 days without flour (especially bread) and what a difference.

Was able to eat 4 smal potatoes (the little round ones) along with 2 oz of chicken - felt good to eat that but I see now that if I eat more at one sitting I will have pain re hernia. So just a little at a time. Food is good medicine when we use it properly.

Got weighed this morning (229.8) so I have broke through to the 220's. Want to keep this up so that at the end of 2024 I can have a nice number to report.

    Psalm 16:7-8
I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instrcts me. I have set the Lord always before me because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Thanks Kim. I've added my new lamp...I'd ordered bulbs and realized it's an LED setup...It's been sitting around for 2 weeks waiting for bulbs.
I've had that blanket for about 17 years! I love it....never thought about the wild side but it is so comfy and works like a wool blanket, blocking the cold. I had rescued it when a young man cleared out his small unit and tossed everything in the dumpster. It was new and still in the zippered bag! I'll be glad to have my bed moved back against the wall and can move the night stand as well, next week after my last follow up.

Marilyn, that's a good report, tho I'm so sorry you are in such pain still. You are doing well, in the area of discipline and food choices, weight loss...hooya! I would be so happy to see 220's again. 230 is my goal at the moment.

I weight 238 at the bone density place yesterday - middle of the day with heavy clothes on! It probably would be 236.5 without the clothes and without the food I'd eaten up to that point! I got on my scale this morning slightly less heavy clothes and only breakfast in my tummy and I was at 239.4, so I'm going to take a pound off for my scale being higher than theirs and then 1 lb for my clothes, which puts me at 237.4 this morning. I'm happy to be staying in the 230's at last.

Marilyn, so happy that your appendix is back to normal. Do you know what type of IBS you have. I have the IBS-C. Because I don't have a gall bladder I can't eat much at each meal - the gall bladder gives you more bile when you eat more than what the liver can supply bile for. Without it the extra food sits there until the liver sends more bile to digest it causing pain and bloating! I still can't eat a normal portion which may be from my hiatal hernia which is now medium-sized, I hadn't realized that could cause that kind of pain. Praise the Lord for his mercy. Love your verse.

    Love you gals.

I hear you Kim...I only briefly saw the 230's again after getting up to 245.... I do know the pain and inactivity of the past 2.5 years has played a major part since my "down time" has been so much greater than the up and at it times.
I do enjoy both...but would really like to increase the activity part. Currently I average 3-4 down days a week. I will say, I am doing so much better, in spite of the pain, just being able to rest at night with no bug activity. I am praising God for that!

I hope you get the results of the bone scan fairly quickly. It's been about 10 years since I had one tho my PCP would send me for one of those, an MRI, mammogram, colonoscopy and possible back surgery if I was willing. LOL....hyvv1ez3jep6.jpg
When one Dr. asked me how long it had been since I'd had the "works" done...I said not long enough!

I made a meatloaf yesterday. It's really good. I have 3 containers in the freezer and one in the fridge. I had some for lunch and dinner.

Have a blessed day at your spots...that's the plan here at mine. I'll have coffee and get my day going with Jesus. I've been missing my devotionals spot and it's once again a safety zone. I am thankful!12z2p3vofevx.jpg

That is a cozy corner! So glad the bugs are under control!

Yesterday was a painful day. My leg hurt or ached down to my knee, and my back and hip on that right side was hurting as well. I took some tramadol and went to church. Pain is an inconvenience, not a sickness and I sure don't want to miss worshipping with my brothers and sisters if it's just pain. Not always an easy decision to make, but sometimes I just have to convince myself I'll be alright. I took the Tramadol before each service and then again when I went to bed. It's the first time in years I've needed to take three doses of the pain killer, but it got me through the services without having to think much about being uncomfortable. Both services were really good so I'm glad I was able to go.

I woke with a milder headache this morning. A couple of Tylenol helped knock it out. Not sure why, but I've had more headaches in the past month than I've had in a long time. Not as many as I would normally have, but not sure what's bringing them on. I hope it's not another trigger food! LOL!

Bren, I just rethought about asking you if "bone conductive headphones" would work for you? I don't know where your hearing loss is at, but if it's not in the bone, these may be helpful to you. They are similar to the cochlear devices, but on the outside. You can get them that have a connection behind the head or you can also get them as individual so you can use them on just one ear. I have a pair of headphones that I slip over the top of my ear (they don't go inside) and I can hear great in listening to my books. They are Bluetooth so you'd have to connect it to your TV or Kindle device. I don't know if the bone conductive ones can be worn in either ear, but I know the kind I have can.

Love y'all. Hope your day is filled with joy and peace in Jesus!

I love my corner! My Mama gave me the little table/tray I use....and I think of her often when I use it. I have my study materials/Bible in a tub now with a lid. I bought quite a few to change out the baskets I'd been using...

I hear you on the pain, am so sorry you are having it...but I'm glad you get to go to meeting in spite of it. I've been down for 2 days again, after wrestling with my night stand the other day but it was so worth it! I'm putting forth some effort today, to restore order and tidy up.
I got a timer and am getting up each 30 minutes to do a quick chore of some sort. It's laundry time again so that's on my list. Sort and prep for pickup tomorrow. I am so thankful for the service....tho I do wish I was able to do my own. I still haven't gone out yet to get gas, lab work, cash at the bank. It's on the list.

I don't think that would work for me at all. My hearing loss is related to 50 years of Meniere's with nerve damage done. Started at 21.
I'm thankful for the hearing aid help and living well in spite of my "impairments"...am still thanking God for the nifty one from Amazon for TV time. What an awesome blessing it is! I save my high dollar one for appointments....It was high dollar for Rehab, that paid for it. (them) They bought both pairs for me tho the first set no longer work nor can be repaired.
That is great that yours works so well for your audible books. I don't have any of those but I do listen with earphones to my game noise and videos on the computer and can hear well with them.

I hope you all have a blessed and beautiful day. I love you lots and am so glad you're here!c5ia6kyx6wpa.png

I don't have many audio books, but I do get some free from a site called Hoopla (through your local library), as well as listening on my Kindle through text to voice. It's a computer voice, but I like it because I add my own emotions to the story!

Wade is smoking a pork roast - he is smelling up the neighborhood with that awesome aroma! Yeah!

Oh my, it is soooo good. Wade took off the black coating with some of the meat for me! Some of it has some of the fat on it - that is a delicacy for me, pork fat is soo good, especially when attached to a nearly burnt skin of spices! I had that for lunch so I will do my yogurt, apple and nuts for dinner.

I had my eyes checked today. The pressure was in the normal range this time and we came across two possible reasons it could have gone high. The opening where the fluid goes out isn't as big as it should be, so it's not draining fast enough to keep up with new fluid coming in (the space behind the cornea). My nerves at the back of my eye look good though, so we are still going to keep an eye on it for glaucoma. I'm going to stop taking the fluticasone so that takes the steroid out of the picture, that may help with the stomach issues I've been having as well. My tummy doesn't like steroids! I'll just use the saline spray to help thin out the mucus in my head. Nothing I can do about that gap though. When I need to have cataract surgery (which could be quite awhile) they can put a stint in that opening that will help with the pressure. High pressure is what damages the nerve and causes glaucoma. I really like this eye doctor - she explains everything and shares with me what she's seeing. The other doctor in their office didn't tell me anything! I asked if they could put me with her again and I'm so glad I did.

Well, I'm going to go and put my feet up. My right side is hurting pretty good again today.

    Love y'all.

Hello, my lovelies, I hope you are all doing well today! Still pain in my back, hip, and thigh. Sometimes the pain goes down to my knee, but that pain is really just an ache. Wade had to help me get changed for bed last night, I just couldn't move that leg well without sharp pain. I'm going to wait until next week to call my NP and see if I can get in to see her sooner than the end of December and get a look at what is going on in this hip. Not sure they will do another scan though since I've had two already in the last month (Oct). We'll see. Jesus has the solution already, so I need to be patient and just take it easy!

Wade made us some banana-muffin donuts last night so I could have them for breakfast until my Aussie Bites come. I tried doing cereal, but that's just too many carbs; and doesn't have the super foods in it that the Bites do.

I'm going to go and sit for a bit in my comfy chair and see if I can get my hip to stop hurting! Love you

I'm so sorry you're having so much pain right now....and in numerous areas. Knocks some starch from our sails, I do hope you can get in earlier to see your NP and get some answers and help.

Cereal: spikes me for sure and tho I really like it, it's a real rarity here and a good thing too! I do on occasion, get a pint of 2% milk to have with a banana but leave the cereal on the shelf. I'm glad you found something you like and can eat, in the Aussie Bites...I'm having some bacon up in here...with egg beaters and a slice of pepper jack....or steamed eggs. So yummy.

I've been down for most of the past 4 days...and have things I really need to get done. I'll see what I can get taken care of today. I'll do a short list.

We've had some chilly mornings in the mid to high30's...and highs in the 70's....very nice, but I actually had to use my heat yesterday morning. I'm so thankful for the comforts of my home and the blessings that fill it. I still use my fan for sleeping, no matter the temp in here.

I have my appointments Tuesday and Wednesday...will get lab work Tuesday either before or after my cardiologist's visit. My lab orders are over a year old....oops. I haven't seen my endo guy since 9/23/23. My, how time flies.

I'm praying for comfort, healing, strength and rest for us all in this new day. Love you Ladies....uco1jpaqygnx.jpg

    What a beautiful picture!

We boxed up my lighthouses on my hutch and set some Christmas stuff on there. The tree is up with lights and ornaments (it's really pretty). All the outside lights are up at our house, Pastor's house, and the out-building we use for fellowship meetings, birthday parties, dining get togethers, etc... It's called The Net House because that is where fishermen go to prepare for their day of fishing, and we are fishers of men! When I saw your picture I thought about going ahead and doing my Christmas lighthouse pictures!

I'm bummed! I got a notice that the results of my bone density test are available for me to see, but I can't get to them! We had an account for Mom with Athena Health and that is where the results are. I'm using a different e-mail address, but they say I already have an account. When I use the old stuff, Mom's account comes up. Sigh. I'd really like to see the results. I sent a note to my NP asking if she could put the results on my patient portal - we'll see!

Well, another day of resting. I want the pain as abated as possible before Sunday! Love y'all.

I haven't posted here since February - Shame on me! All is fairly good in the Randel household. Bill is pretty much holding his own, but gets more frequent UTIs. Life is much easier now that we downsized and have no stairs. I can get Bill out and around, now and he has loved being able to be in church again!

Well we are getting snow. I live in Canada (British Columbia is the province so we are on the west coast ) We are feeling the effect of the bomb cyclone this time around - we are about 6 hours inland and the coast is having a terrible time with this weather. They are telling us to stay at home and avoid driving even though there is not much snow they expect it to get worse.

Weighed myself again this mornng. 225.8 = lowest I have been in a long time and this makes 61.2 pounds lost since joining TOPS. So glad to see these numbers going down. A month ago I had set a goal of getting to 225 by December 31 - but looks like I have made that already - so am setting a new goal of 220 by the end of the year.

Making changes rather then dieting has really helped. I have not hat flour (as in bread) for 3 weeks now and truthfully not missing it as am feeling so better (less stomach problems and less cravings). I realize that anytime I eat bread two hours later I am wanting to eat more - especially bread. Am eating green grapes ( no more than 8 at a serving), blueberries and granny smith apples. Using the little round red potatoes (5 of them) along with a little veggy (peas today) which will be my lunch. Also am keeping boiled eggs on hand. Dinner time a little rice, a vegetable and a very small amount of chicken for the protein. Sometimes have a boiled egg for the protein. At any rate it is going well and am on my 5th week of losing weight. And boy do I feel better with the way I have changed things up.

Thinking of all of you and praying that your walk with the Lord is as it should be.

Hello all....and good to "see" you, Connie! My heart smiles at the good reports, answered prayers, and reprieves. God is awesome!

Kim, that sounds lovely and yes, get out the Lighthouse pics! My only decoration left is my burner covers for my stove...with the cats tangled in lights. Your description makes me want to clean my stove and get them down! Makes me want at least, a centerpiece for my table too. I wanted a pack of turkey thighs for my Thanksgiving dinner but they are out of stock....so I may pull a couple of chicken thighs from the freezer. I have a box of stuffing mix, green beans and a sweet potato to play with.
Yesterday, I went to make a pot of chili...first in maybe 5 years?....and my tomato sauce and paste had to be tossed! Best by: January 2020....two cans had started to puff up...oops. I ended up using a can of tomatoes and some pasta sauce I had in the fridge. It turned out fine. I have 3 containers in the freezer with the meatloaf I cooked recently...I need to sort/clean and restock for my realistic cooking habits in this new phase I suppose. Who knows what else is lurking up there in my cabinets. It's been too long since I cooked properly...

Hey...I use Athena as well. I love it. I can send messages to my doctors, make and cancel appointments (LOL) ask for refills, check lab results etc. With my hearing issues, it helps a lot. I hope you can get your account "fixed" so you have access to your info.

Marilyn! That's such a great report! Your discipline is Kudos worthy! That's wonderful!
Snow....it's beautiful but after two falls on ice and injury to both shoulders that took over 2 years to heal, I have a real aversion to winter and I thank God often that I can now hide away all winter....and stay safe. This marks my third year to do so, since retirement. I check the weather for days to take trash out and run any errands I "need" to....which are few and I am grateful. I am quite happy to hang out here with Jesus in my comfy apartment.

Have a lovely weekend, Ladies....I plan to at my spot and will get some order restored as I go about it.y27rj0025zp7.jpg
