Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 14 (C) cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 16 and 100% chance of precipitation. It was sprinkling when I got up, so I can verify that!

Yesterday seemed a long workday, but I got a lot done. Hopefully today won't seem so long, though with dismal weather, who knows?

I didn't feel like cooking last night so we went out for a few items at Trader Joe's and then to dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. I had the chicken chimichanga, served with refried beans and rice.

Breakfast was cheesy grits, warmed up Spam, a banana, and a small serving of orange juice.

Well, back to work. I hear my coffee calling.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 17 (C) cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 20 and 15% chance of precipitation.

Lots to test at work today, and I need to drop a package off at the UPS store.

    good morning
oops, I must have missed yesterday.
Here's an article I found on Black Friday scams, be aware if a deal seems to good to be true:
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2024/11/19/new-chrome-safari-firefox-edge-warning-do-not-shop-on-these-websites/
It's currently 48F,9C. Partly cloudy skies this morning will give way to occasional showers during the afternoon. High around 65F, 18C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.
I finished up a couple of little suncatchers yesterday in stained glass and am ready to start a larger project, need to get the pattern ready and pick out my glass. Clay was short, only one other person showed up and left early so I left early too. Had a warning in my car that the tire air pressure was low, so went to the gas station and fixed that.
Usual routine today, and I want to shorten some pants (I think most of them need shortening). Shrinking and not wearing high shoes makes a difference!
    Wishing all a happy ๐Ÿช day. โ˜•๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒฅ๏ธ๐ŸŒ‚๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿท๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Well, looks like my post from this morning got accidentally cleared, by me being distracted by that silly old thing called work. LOL.

Anyway, it's a nice day here, a bit cooler than it has been. And it's supposed to get colder tonight.

Hope all goes well with the scan Vix.

    Happy Birthday, Irene!

Irene-Happy Birthday! I do not have to work on Thanksgiving, most of the retail store are closed around
    here on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
    Vix-good luck with your scan.
    Hi Ed.
Currently 41F and light rain. We had some heavy rain yesterday. We had a big branch fall off the tree
    in the backyard.
Today is grocery shopping and to have blood work done. I also have to stop at the pharmacy to
    pick up my BP meds.
    Have a great day! :)

Ed, hope you got your lazy day.
It's currently 44F,7C. Partly cloudy skies. High 54F, 12C. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
We went to our son's house yesterday and played with Maddie for a while to give them a chance to get some things done around the house. Today will be a party. I'll be making a frittata to take over.
I actually brought the presents yesterday, gave Alyssa more time to relax and see them, and Maddie had fun with the books and the wrapping paper. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 7 (C) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 19 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I mostly got my lazy day yesterday. I did run the dishwasher and had to put the clean dishes away. But really, that's not much work.

Today I need to get groceries, starting at PetSmart for kitty litter, cat treats, and maybe some cat food, though they have enough of that to last another week. I'll probably go ahead and get it since I'm there but maybe not.

I'm pretty much ready for Thanksgiving but will be looking for bite size pecan and/or pumpkin tarts if I can find them. If not, maybe I'll just buy a small pecan pie.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have 9 (C) cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 22 and 4% chance of precipitation. Sounds like a lovely day.

I managed to get a 4-pack of individual (not bite size) pecan tarts at Kroger so feel like I'm fully ready for Thanksgiving. I can live without pumpkin pie this year, as much as I do love it. Jason is not terribly fond of pumpkin pie anyway. I never could find the bite size pecan and bite size pumpkin tarts at Aldi or Lidl this year. I don't know if they just didn't get any or maybe they sold out quickly. But that's ok. Less sugar for me is not a bad thing.

The workday is already started and my tea mug is empty, so back to it.

Ed, glad you got your sort of lazy day.
Jo and Irene, guess you're busy getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Pete does the shopping and hasn't done it yet, I made the list. I'm sure he'll pick up the turkey today or tomorrow. At worst, I may have to pick up a few things on Wednesday.
    It's currently 37F, 3C. Mostly sunny. High 57F, 14C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
The party yesterday was so much fun, and we got to visit with our son's in-laws. They're very nice. And more play time with Maddie! It took her a few minutes to warm up, but I think she really enjoyed having all the attention! ๐Ÿ’—
I'm not sure yet what I'm doing today. I do have a few chores to take care of.

It is currently 46F and sunny.
Vix-happy birthday to Maddie. SNOW! I am not ready. We had rain all day Friday and most of Saturday.
Ed-sounds like you are all set for Thanksgiving.
    Hi Irene.
I spent the weekend recovering from a kidney stone. I am glad it happened now and not
while I was on vacation. Had an ultrasound and a Dr. visit this morning and everything looks
fine now. My blood work from Friday came back good, A1C was a little high. If I can loose
some weight I bet it will come down.
Have a great start to your week! :)

Jo, thanks, we were a week late on Maddie's birthday, I think she really enjoyed it! Wow, a kidney stone, sounds painful. Glad you got checked out and everything is fine now. I need to lose some weight too. I'm at the top of my range at the moment.
No stained glass this morning, but will have clay in the afternoon.
Pete picked up a turkey and all the ingredients for me yesterday.
It's currently 50F, 10C. Chance of a morning shower. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 57F, 14C. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 16 (C) foggy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 16. So it's as warm as it's going to get, apparently. The prediction is for cooling temperatures overnight.

It's the last day of my short work week! I'm taking tomorrow off for a personal day, and the company gives us Thanksgiving and the Friday after.

My weekend will feel almost like a week!

I don't have the updates I expected yet, so not sure how much I can test today.

I'll be doing some prep today for tomorrow's celebration. I still need to pick up some cream cheese and try to find gluten free ginger snaps for the cheesecake.
It's currently 39F, 4C. A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. High 54F, 12C. Winds light and variable.
I have a massage scheduled for later this morning. It'll give me a nice break.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 7 (C) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 18 and 3% chance of precipitation.

Today I intend to clean up and re-arrange my desk. If I say that to myself often enough I'll believe it and it will happen.

Update: It DID happen. Now there are less corners sticking out at odd angles, so it looks at least a bit less disorderly. I'm pleased with the results.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING
It is currently 38F with a high of 50F. By 9am we should start to get rain.
I have the veggies prepped and the stuffing made. We got a boneless turkey breast, so it shouldn't
take long to cook. We will probably eat around 1-2pm.
We usually take a walk after dinner. I hope it isn't raining then. We also plan to go over our
    itinerary for vacation.
    Have a wonderful day! :)

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

    pc9zcxzn7tta.png

We have 16 (C) mostly cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 17 and 4% chance of precipitation.

All I have to do, shortly, is make the cornbread dressing, bake it, and make gravy. Then decide which green vegetable to steam and prepare one roll from the package in the freezer, warm up some turkey and ham, and dinner is served. I honestly almost wish I had purchased some of the read made dressing too, which I have done in the past, for a super lazy Thanksgiving.

Jason's Indian food is waiting in the refrigerator so his dinner and supper will just be a matter of plating and heating. We went out last night, as planned, to get him what he really wanted for Thanksgiving and I was happy to let him choose all the foods he wanted, just eating a chicken appetizer and a bit of is vegetarian appetizer for my supper. Most of what he ordered came home in carryout containers.

So I won't be making any potato dish (often his grandmother's potato salad), or deviled eggs, and no corn, all of which I used to usually make if he was going to be home for Thanksgiving, along with some vegetarian light bread dressing. He always got enough to eat, but was never very excited about the food, so this year he had the innovative idea to get food he would actually love, and we can both really enjoy Thanksgiving.

I feel sure he will want some pecan pie regardless. LOL.

Well, Thanksgiving tis almost over now. Foodwise, this was the best Thanksgiving Jason has had, ever, I think. My food prep was simplified and we both had what we really wanted to eat.

Dinner was great. Light supper a bit ago was dinner redux, except that instead of pecan pie, we each had one pecan meltaway cookie, to get a jump start on our Christmas goodies. I still need to buy my annual chocolate covered cherries.
