    Good afternoon;
    Currently 29F and sunny.
Sam has a friend. Charlie spotted them in the backyard together.
I am also doing laundry today, last load is in the dryer.
Vix-I started to do some chair yoga this week. I haven't used the elliptical since I came back
from vacation. I really should get back to it, no motivation.
    Hi Ed and Irene.
    Have a good afternoon. :)

Well, we bought Queso Freier, or Frying Cheese, but supposedly other low moisture cheeses would work.

You just slice it up into reasonable pieces and fry it in a little oil. The end result looks something like this. It's very salty, but also very yummy.

    Good morning all
The fried cheese looks yummy, Ed. Like grilled cheese without the bread. 😂
    Hi Irene.
Jo, so nice that Sam has a friend. It's hard getting back into exercising, but I need to move a little more than I do without it, so for now, at least the stretching and resistance. My knee/leg is still not quite right.
It's currently 33F, 1C, overcast. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 41F, 5C. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
I have an acupuncture appt this morning, and my housecleaner is coming. Will see what else the day brings.
Wishing all an easy Friday! ☕☁️🌤️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 3 (C) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 15 and 1% chance of precipitation.

We're working on creating me a new testing "sandbox" virtual system for work. I'm excited to see this coming, as I've waited quite a while for it to happen.

I had said I wasn't going to help make the kimchi, but of course I helped. If only because I'm more familiar with doing things like chopping onion, garlic, ginger, and the like and at making them into a paste/puree.

This is what the final product looked like. Jason ate a little, fresh, for a snack last night, but I wanted to wait a day or two to see if it got better. I did taste the sauce. Very salty. I think we'll cut back on the salt if we make this again. There are two tubs of it in the refrigerator and the other one is much closer to being full than this one. We'll need to keep an eye on it and burp the containers as fermentation should begin almost immediately.

Ed, I've been looking at making kimchi, but kind of afraid of letting things ferment. I don't even know if I like it. The jars in the store don't look very appetizing. Yours looks good.
I made the butternut squash soup, always good.
It's currently 32F, 0C. Rain ending this morning. Remaining cloudy. High 42F, 6C. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Winter storm warning for tomorrow, 3-6 inches of snow.
Nothing special planned for today, will see what the day brings.
Wishing all a relaxing weekend. ☕☁️🌂❄️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 7 cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 12 and 24% chance of precipitation.

We have a appointment at the vet for Orion this afternoon for his wellness visit and shots. Aside from that nothing critical on the agenda.

Jason says, aside from being a bit too salty, the kimchi tastes good. He had some as a side with his home made fresh spring rolls that he made for lunch yesterday.

I may eat some, since I put in a lot of the work toward making it, but don't really remember being all that fond of kimchi in the past. But that wasn't home-made kimchi. It was some we found in a jar at one of the markets. So I'll probably eat a small portion at some point.

Afternoon update. I tasted some of the kimchi. It was good. We know some things we want to adjust the next time we make it.
