    Good afternoon;
    Currently 29F and sunny.
Sam has a friend. Charlie spotted them in the backyard together.
I am also doing laundry today, last load is in the dryer.
Vix-I started to do some chair yoga this week. I haven't used the elliptical since I came back
from vacation. I really should get back to it, no motivation.
    Hi Ed and Irene.
    Have a good afternoon. :)

ok Ed what is fried cheese?

Well, we bought Queso Freier, or Frying Cheese, but supposedly other low moisture cheeses would work.

You just slice it up into reasonable pieces and fry it in a little oil. The end result looks something like this. It's very salty, but also very yummy.

The fried cheese looks yummy, Ed. Like grilled cheese without the bread. 😂
    Hi Irene.
Jo, so nice that Sam has a friend. It's hard getting back into exercising, but I need to move a little more than I do without it, so for now, at least the stretching and resistance. My knee/leg is still not quite right.
It's currently 33F, 1C, overcast. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 41F, 5C. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
I have an acupuncture appt this morning, and my housecleaner is coming. Will see what else the day brings.
Wishing all an easy Friday! ☕☁️🌤️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 3 (C) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 15 and 1% chance of precipitation.

We're working on creating me a new testing "sandbox" virtual system for work. I'm excited to see this coming, as I've waited quite a while for it to happen.

I had said I wasn't going to help make the kimchi, but of course I helped. If only because I'm more familiar with doing things like chopping onion, garlic, ginger, and the like and at making them into a paste/puree.

This is what the final product looked like. Jason ate a little, fresh, for a snack last night, but I wanted to wait a day or two to see if it got better. I did taste the sauce. Very salty. I think we'll cut back on the salt if we make this again. There are two tubs of it in the refrigerator and the other one is much closer to being full than this one. We'll need to keep an eye on it and burp the containers as fermentation should begin almost immediately.

Ed, I've been looking at making kimchi, but kind of afraid of letting things ferment. I don't even know if I like it. The jars in the store don't look very appetizing. Yours looks good.
I made the butternut squash soup, always good.
It's currently 32F, 0C. Rain ending this morning. Remaining cloudy. High 42F, 6C. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Winter storm warning for tomorrow, 3-6 inches of snow.
Nothing special planned for today, will see what the day brings.
Wishing all a relaxing weekend. ☕☁️🌂❄️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 7 cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 12 and 24% chance of precipitation.

We have a appointment at the vet for Orion this afternoon for his wellness visit and shots. Aside from that nothing critical on the agenda.

Jason says, aside from being a bit too salty, the kimchi tastes good. He had some as a side with his home made fresh spring rolls that he made for lunch yesterday.

I may eat some, since I put in a lot of the work toward making it, but don't really remember being all that fond of kimchi in the past. But that wasn't home-made kimchi. It was some we found in a jar at one of the markets. So I'll probably eat a small portion at some point.

Afternoon update. I tasted some of the kimchi. It was good. We know some things we want to adjust the next time we make it.

Ed, you guys are quite the cooks. Fresh spring rolls sound yummy. I still haven't tried kimchi, though it's supposed to be very good for you.
It's currently 35F, 2C. completely overcast. Cloudy with snow showers this morning and steady snow likely this afternoon. Morning high of 37F, 3C. with temps falling to near 30, -1C. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 100%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected.
We visited our son and family yesterday. Maddie is the cutest. She's running around, eating regular food, very curious, and smiley.
Not much on the agenda for today, will change the bed linens, do some laundry, a little exercise, some reading.
Wishing all a relaxing Sunday. ☕🌨️❄️☃️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

We have 7 (C - feels like 3) cloudy degrees with some mistiness in the air. The expected cloudy high is only 8 so we're already nearly there, with 5% chance of precipitation.

I know there is some mistiness in the air because I stepped out to scatter crumb from some pizza crusts Jason didn't eat. I tore the crusts into smallish pieces and scattered them in different areas so there would hopefully be no need for birds to think they need to fight over them.

Grocery shopping is on the agenda for today. But breakfast for the cats is the immediate need, as it's almost 9:30 and Dinah is not about to let me forget that.

Orion did well with the vet visit. We'll get the results of his baseline bloodwork in a week or so. He'll be 7 in March so it's time for yearly bloodwork.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have -9 (C - feels like -15) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 0 and 1% chance of precipitation.

I may slip out into the yard this afternoon to sprinkle some stale graham cracker crumbs for the birds.

    Back to work!

We got a few inches of snow yesterday, pretty much snowed all day.
It's currently 19F, -7C. looks pretty sunny despite the forecast. Snow showers this morning. Peeks of sunshine later. Very cold. High 22F, -6C. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 40%.
Our birds are very happy with their seeds this morning.
Will see what the day brings.

    Good afternoon;
It is currently 23F and sunny. We had snow overnight about 3-4 in.
We got the cars cleaned off, the deck, patio and driveway cleared.
Ed-glad Orion did well at the vet. I am not a fan of Kimchi. The fried cheese looks good.
Vix-nice that you got to spend time with your son and family. Is Maddie talking yet?
    Irene-did you get any snow?
    Have a good day! :)

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have -5 (C - feels like -8) mostly cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of -1 and 36% chance of precipitation in the form of snow. When I got up the weather page said we were having a snow shower, but I saw no evidence of it.

We worked a bit extra last night to get a critical server moved over to the new program. Hopefully there will be few client issues after the move but we're all on tenterhooks today.

Jo, that's a lot of snow removal! Maddie says a few words, and is babbling and trying to say more. Sometimes the babble sounds like real words and seems appropriate! 😍
Ed, hope you didn't get too much snow and that the new program set up went well.
Irene, guess you've got some snow too.
I pushed some snow off the driveway yesterday, the sun melted most of the rest off. The sidewalks had a layer of ice under the snow, so I just pushed the snow off the top, they are still icy. Looks like most of our neighbors did the same.
It's currently 9F, -13C. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. Very cold. High 18F, -8C. Winds light and variable. BRRR.
Schools are 2 hours late and our stained glass class was cancelled for this morning. I'll be going to clay this afternoon. The snow looks pretty, but it's icy out.
Wishing all a safe, warm day. ☕❄️❄️❄️☃️🕊️

When I got up this morning it was 5F. It has now gone up to18F. I don't think the snow will be
    melting anytime soon.
Ed-I hope you had no issues with the new program set up.
    Vix-enjoy your clay class.
    Hi Irene.

Early evening update. Light dusting on some places, varying snow flurries to snow sprinkles. Not much accumulation as yet, this chilly Tuesday evening.

Jo, my clay session was good. haha, no, the snow's not melting anytime soon. Our driveway looks good, it gets full sun and the last bits melted off. The sidewalks are still covered.
Ed, even Florida got some snow this time. All I could think was "A cold day in Hell." The birds are appreciating the seeds Pete puts out for them.
It's currently 3F, -16C. Sunshine to start, then a few afternoon clouds. Very cold. High 18F, -8C. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. BRR. It's supposed to warm up to the 30s tomorrow!
We may go out later. Pete needs to return some things in Frederick. I need to stop by the library some time this week.
Wishing all a happy 🐪 day.

    Irene-I hope the steroids help.
Vix-I am on the shady side of the street, so driveway still has some snow and ice on it. We got up
as much as we could and put down some rock salt.
Today was work, laundry, dusting and vacuuming. I went to the library yesterday and 2 of the
    books I got I already read. :#

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have -6 (C) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 4 and 2% chance of precipitation.

    Still quite chilly out there!

Everything looked good at the endocrinologist. There is one more sample to process but hopefully that will not show any issues either.

My weight is up a bit from last time, but there were big holidays in the interval.

    Back to work!

Ed, glad the endocrinologist visit went well. Bad time of year for checking weight! I'm up a bit too.
Irene, sorry you're not feeling well. I hope the steroids help and that you're feeling better soon.
Jo, we're lucky to be on the sunny side. You pack a lot into your days! I hate when that happens with books. I keep a spreadsheet of the books I've read, and it still happens from time to time.
I picked up 2 books at the library yesterday and returned one. We went to Frederick to return Pete's gloves and I found a book about stars for my grandson's birthday next month, so it was a good outing.
It's currently 8F, -13C. Sunny. Continued cold. High 31F, -1C. Winds light and variable. Warmer than yesterday!
I have a massage appt this morning and will see what else the day brings.
Wishing you all a happy Thursday. Stay warm. ☕🌞❄️❄️❄️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have -6 (C) sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 8 and 15% chance of precipitation.

I had plenty to test yesterday and would like to spend most of today working on automated testing scripts, but those can be tricky. And there may be something hot that crops up. We'll see.

Breakfast was a wafle, sausage, egg, cheese sandwich that I put together starting with two Van's protein waffles. No syrup on this one because my glucose started high this morning, though that's not unusual. The meal was delicious.

Back to work in a minute!

Ed, good luck with your testing scripts. Pete has Vans gluten free waffles.
It was just snow flurrying about a minute ago and now it's all bright and sunny.
My massage was nice yesterday. It helps so much.
It's currently 27F, -3C. A few snow showers around this morning, otherwise mostly cloudy. High 31F, -1C. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. The sun melted off some snow yesterday, even though it was still freezing out. It's supposed to go up over freezing tomorrow and the next week or so.
I'm doing some laundry, some cleaning, and will probably make some soup today.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 2 (C - feels like 0) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 10 and 1% chance of precipitation.

I have the dishwasher running, and a small load of clothes in the dryer to fold. I got one load done and folded yesterday.

I can hear some heavy machinery running nearby but haven't gotten curious enough yet to step out and see what's going on. Possibly tree cleanup from the snow and ice last week. We have a tree down in the front but it's in the lower yard near the creek and isn't in the way, so I feel no hurry to clean it up.

Jo, I'm glad you get a relaxing day. Good luck with jury duty. The last time I got notified here, I never got called in.
    Irene, hope you're feeling better.
It's warming up a bit here.
It's currently 35F,2C. Considerable clouds this morning. Some decrease in clouds later in the day. High 42F, 6C. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.
