We sing the Don Francisco song He's Alive, that's the one that I know. What a song! Lord willing I will sing a song the Lord gave me 30 or so years ago called BY JUST ONE MAN, it came from Rom 5. "By just one man sin came to be, bound to death eternally, but only Christ could set us free, the price He paid for you - for me." That's the chorus for verse one. One man's disobedience brought sin and spiritual and eternal death to everyone; one Man's obedience brought salvation and eternal life to every man. I don't think I've ever heard the other one.

    Happy Resurrection Day!

Carole, it is so good to see you! I was just thinking about you and hoping that all is well. I haven't been playing much, because it is so hard for me to get to church and to the practices. If I am able to be there for the service, I do closing, but that has been a problem lately. I just don't like leaving Bill and there are weeks that he just isn't up to all of the work it takes to get him in and out of the car to get to church, then in and out of the car again to come home. On those weeks, I just sneak it before worship and stay until the pastor gets up to preach and leave. That way I can visit a little before service and leave during a natural break. I hate to miss the preaching of the word, but it's either that or not getting to go at all.

Speaking of Passion-related music, this was written by a man that I met when I was selling a lot of stuff while moving. He and his wife were a delight and we found a lot of common ground. He wrote and recorded this the other day. His YouTube channel has a lot of his music.

Wow, what a beautiful song and message!

We had quite a few songs in service yesterday done by several different people in the congregation, it was so wonderful to see and hear. Three of them were written by us and then we had RISE AGAIN by Dallas Holm and HE'S ALIVE by Don Francisco. We had a fellowship meal afterwards as well, yummers! Pastor David gave a short message during the worship service and then after the meal as well.

Happy 92nd birthday to my mom. We had a great afternoon today, and when I got her home, she had a bunch of cards in her mailbox from staff and friends in her complex.

Happy Birthday, Mom! What a bevy of beauties! Lovely pictures!

I asked my doctor if the Lyme Disease could come back (my concern was if the bacteria hadn't all been killed). He said it wouldn't come back - which I am assuming to mean that I no longer have Lyme Disease, although I do have the damage that it did to my joints. Strange. I thought it was just something you had and there wasn't any getting rid of it, you just tried to control it. I guess not! Praise the Lord, now to get an appointment with the rheumatologist, which doesn't appear to be any time soon. Hopefully my NP can help me in the meantime. I have medication for any set backs though, so hopefully they will get me through, but I'm hoping that I won't have any! Praise the Lord, today is a good day!

Whew, what a day today. Yesterday I had a handyman come in to do a bunch of "little"jobs. Turns out that what I think are little jobs, aren't quite as little as I thought, and some that I thought were more complex could be fixed in a minute or two.

One that I thought wouldn't be terrible, and I almost tried to do myself and decided that I would just have someone else do it when I had enough "stuff" to call a handyman. We have a bay window in the bedroom and I have wanted sheers over the blinds since we moved in, but never bought the hardware, and when I did, I was chicken to put it up. Turned out, it was a 2 man project, and even then, it baffled them. I'm sure glad I didn't try it. It looks so much better though. HaHa - look at the track marks in the carpet from sliding the chair. At first I blamed it on wheelchair marks, but obviously not!

That is beautiful! I agree with Cindy, it makes a big difference!

I have all the paperwork to get a handicap plaque for our car, just have to go to the drivers license place to get the plaque. Sigh. I don't go a lot of places when Wade goes shopping, or I just sit in the car because all of that walking just makes things more painful - but if we could park near the door that would make a big difference. We'll see how much it helps.

Still waiting to hear from the Rheumatoid doctor. I would just like to be on the books, even if it's a year out! But, I am learning to be patient and go by their rules on these things. I just hate not knowing exactly what those are.

Well, I hope y'all have a really good day. Love you

Kim - I don't know how it is there, but in Kansas, we just send our form in for handicapped tags then the send the tag. I have 2 - one for Bill and one for Mom since they have to be separate.

For some reason, I can't get pictures to load from phone....even following Cindy's instruction. Aarg.

Okay- that came up from Galaxy pictures, but wouldn't come up from Google photos. Good to know.

Wow, how did you find a picture of me from this morning?? heehee!

I wish ours was that easy. When he picked up the paperwork at the doctor's office they told him that we would need to sign the forms and then take it to the driver's license place to get the plaque. Bummer!

Getting ready to practice one of our songs. I have two that will be ready to go whenever our pastor wants them - brand new stuff! Woohoo. The Lord is giving me words and Wade or my friend Robin are getting the music!

I thought I posted this picture this morning, but I don't see it... 🤔

My trilliums are starting to come up. I hope I don't miss seeing the actual flowers. They don't last long and I'm in Milwaukee for a week. (I took this right before I left for the airport on Thursday.)

Thank you! My dad gave me one he got from a plant exchange in the summer of 2022. I planted it right away but it didn't come up and bloom until May of 2024! It bloomed for one day, then a deer came through the backyard that evening and ate the flower! I transplanted that larger clump (the earlier picture I posted) from my Dad's house last week. They seem to have acclimated to my yard well. Fingers crossed...

I have absolutely no plant growth luck. I am hoping that my beautiful Hydrangeas from last year will bloom this year. I have done everything that I saw online and my step-daughter told me one more thing that needed done in March (I found out and did it on March 31st!). So, I am trying.

I have a strip along the back of the house that had bushes in them that were over 6ft tall, and not allowed in the HOA (2 ft or under). I knew that they wouldn't be good cut back that far, so had them taken out and had all of the mulch taken out. I thought that maybe the HOA may mow or weed-eat the space, but they haven't. I have been weed-eating and spraying individual weeds with killer. So….wish me luck, I bought grass seed with fertilizer and a hoe/rake thing to try to loosen the soil a bit. I just want it green back there, nothing hard, just green.

Mean deer. I hope he really enjoyed that flower!!! It was beautiful!

Oh, you sound like me! So far the bush that I planted last year has bloomed really well this year, but it's still about the same size! I guess I need to have Wade put some fertilizer on it. I bought a new pot to put my Christmas cactus in because the old one is breaking - the old pot went inside the new pot and so far that's it! I need more soil which we are going to get from the back by the woods, but Wade has a lot on his plate, so I am content with how it is right now! My neighbor asked Wade not to mow for a little while since the only flower it seems she can grow is clover! Both our yards are filled with it. I do have some tiny pink flowers and some tiny purple flowers too! Wade uses the riding mower to keep both yards looking good. I just wish some rabbits would come around and eat the clover, but so far that hasn't happened. The blackberry bush has a lot of flowers, so he is going to cover that with netting very soon. Probably the blackberries too, but they didn't make many flowers, so not sure there will be enough berries to make a difference! I hope things work out for you in that spot that needs some green!

    😉

Ugh. My flight was just delayed. I got up at 5:30, to leave for the airport at 7. Got here just before 7:30 for my 9:30 flight. I was supposed to land at 11:35. Now that's when we're leaving here. 😭 I would just really like to get home. 9 days is a long one for me.

Oh no! I hope you are able to be comfortable while waiting for your flight! So sorry.

Have tummy issues today and I have no idea why - ugh! But, my pain is better today, praise the Lord for that!

I hope y'all are well. I have watched Meme on YouTube and she does recipes and she is just so fun to watch. She's a grandmother and her daughter KayKay (nickname I hope) does her camera work - they just get the giggles now and again, it's fun. But Meme always ends with, "Remember, Shine for Jesus." So I'll end with that too - Shine for Jesus today! Love you

Hey, we each go through our own stuff and it's fine! I'm glad that you feel free to share even this frustration! We get to pray for each other when we know these things. 😊 I'm assuming you're home now! Hope so!

Hope you are home by now, Cindy. I hate airport delays.

Kim - praying the tummy issues go away.

Been a very quiet day, here. The doctor didn't show, so I keep thinking of all the things I could have done while I was sitting here waiting. BUT, it was a relaxing afternoon.

Oh, awesome. Praise the Lord, I'm so glad you got to see it bloom, and it looks like you have one getting ready to bloom! So pretty! Bummer about the windshield though. Praise the Lord whatever caused that stopped at the windshield!

Thanks for your prayers. The Lord saw me though a bout of bad stomach cramps yesterday, but doing well today! God is good!

Wade is at an Airshow about two hours away today. I wouldn't have made the drive let alone the walk, even from handicap parking, to where we would be sitting. He got a good spot though, right at the fence and across from the team that is flying this show (Blue Angels maybe).

I hope y'all have a very good weekend, a restful one for you, Cindy! Connie, did they even give you a call to let you know they wouldn't make it? Bummer!

Thanks. Resting up and repacking today. Heading out to Dallas tomorrow. At least Dave and I are working on the same program this time.

Glad you're feeling better today, Kim.

Got visited today by the first hummingbird of the season today.

Cindy - my parents drove the old Alk-Can highway to and from Alaksa in 1970 - before it was paved. They outfitted the car well for the journey and took lots of "extras" like extra camper tire, extra water pump, and the like. They made a really ugly screen to go in the front of the car to deflect gravel from the radiator and windshield. The only thing they needed to use was a camper tire. But as soon as they got off the gravel road on the way home, they got rid of the ugly screen. They drove from mid-Canada to Missouri and got a gravel break in their windshield when they stopped in Missouri to see their parents on the way home to Illinois.

That's rather funny, although I'm sure it wasn't at the time - should have left that ugly screen on!

Thank you for your prayers, doing better. The pain has lessened in my tummy and in my leg, hip, back. I see the eye doctor this afternoon and am hoping that the pressure is down again in my eye and the glaucoma watch is over! She said that steroids can cause high pressure in the eyes so I quit using the Fluticasone for my nose. I didn't use it a lot, maybe a couple times a month I would remember I had it, so not sure that's the culprit, but it couldn't hurt to stop!

Hope you have a really awesome day at work, Cindy. Praise the Lord Dave is able to be in the same place this time! I have a VPN and Dallas is my city that shows up. I got a notice from PayPal that someone in Dallas was using my account! Nope, just me. Looking up the weather is fun, I get the weather for Dallas instead. We lived not far from Dallas when we lived in Texas, a little town called Alvarado!

Hope all of you have a wonderful Wednesday and if you are able to make it to Bible Study or Prayer Meeting, a very blessed time.

Bill had a rather rough night and morning (rough on me - didn't matter to him). After a rough night, I went to see mom for a couple minutes this morning to put batteries in her TV remote and when I got home, he was determined he was getting up, and had his pants and underwear down around his calves….and a wet chair - thank goodness for a ugly recliner cover/protectors (have 4 of them - so I had a clean one to use). Anyway - not taking a walk today. It is threatening rain, anyway.

This may be funny in a few days, but he made another load of laundry, changing and cleaning from skin out, could have broken the recliner (sitting on the footrest & rocking, trying to stand up) and would have fallen in the floor if he had gotten up.

Oh my! It seems that they get restless. You are doing an amazing job caring for him, Connie. I honestly have no idea how you do it alone. It took three of us to take care of Wade's mom! I pray that God gives you wisdom and strength every day! Love you.
