Yup - can’t do the quote thing either. I get the same permission problem box. I’ve just gone to my time consuming work around- copy/paste/quote marks. Annoying!

I'm back! Was having a heck of a time with MFP - finally occured to me to log out - then back in and everything is fine. Took me almost two weeks of poor - to impossible MFP performance to think of that. Much going on - brain bandwidth very very narrow.
Keep coming Yooly - it is too easy to step away and this group is priceless 💛Athijade - hope your eye recovers. DRY EYE! Never heard of it before detached retina - that surgery brought it on for me. Not as light an issue as it sounds. CosmoLady - good luck on your surgeries - glad you are on to the drops. But even those wee bottles are really pricey!
Will properly catch up later today or tomorrow. Poor banana cousin having post surgery woes…off to the hospital to bring him smokes and a phone charger. Yeah. I'm being an enabler - but really not a good time for him to quit I don't think.

Yup. We can't quote. Can copy and paste and use paragraph marker to format the text as a quote. But without attribution or reference to the in original post.

I haven't been talking about it this year, but my Edmonton Oilers just beat the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals for the second year in a row to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. Redemption time!

I know Nic!!!! Hope the Oilers win. I’m rooting for them. I might need to get an Oilers shirt when I visit Canada 🇨🇦 in September.

The last couple of match ups seem to have a bit of a groundhog factor...

Yeah, well this was the 4th year running we had to play the Kings in the first round, and of course Dallas was a rematch as well.
Now, onto destroying Florida!

Today was a bit different!
I had lunch with MIL & residents at Care home; this held once a month. My OH usually goes, but he was working, so I said I’d go…Was really ( suprisingly) very nice; residents who can, get together; there was music and some tea dancing with a lovely spread …tiny wee sandwiches, little pastries, mini scones with jam & cream, beautiful little cakes on a platter… & lots and lots of tea… Traditional type tea party.
MIL looked like had she had a really good time …singing along (sort of!) .. Nice to see 💕…. When I popped on to see her on Wednsday evening, she’d had a poor day, confused & anxious .. was slepping whole time I was there…
Nurse took me to one side today & reported that she is now diabetic… does make sense, all her bouts of cellulitis ..etc.. & so is starting medication along with them monitoring her diet…. good luck with that one.. she ate all her own grub, along with my bits of my sarnies & scone …. 🧁🫖☕️🍪….😳🤣Knackered now!

Sarnies and scone sound good!
Just finished an expensive in calories ham and cheese sarnie and cookies combo 🙄 managed to throw in there a mushroom bunny .. just to pretend healthy and almost 3 strawberry bunnies to avoid more cookies!
MIL sounds in good hands?

@yakkystuff you joining the Edmonton contingent or wishing for success in cookies land?🤔

Re MIL - thankfully yes she - she ‘s safe, well looked after & there always appears to be something going on to try to keep the residents mentally stimulated.

Mrs @Creamtea42, glad you could make it and had a pleasant time with MIL.
It so happens, I am having a proper afternoon tea today - it's a thing over here in Victoria, BC - several tea houses offer it. My daughter has some friends visiting from Toronto and we're going with them. I love tea, and scones, so doubt very much that a calorie deficit is in my near future! 😁 🫖
Nic, by and large Canuck nation has been rooting for Edmonton too, as the only Canadian team left standing…but grudgingly, you understand! So glad they won their conference and made it into the 🏆 final. Go Oilers!

Go Oilers! Tea while watching hockey come Wednesday sounds appropriate :)

Was contingent hockey, but after shopping ads online, now cookies too!
My finger twitches over any of the sweets buttons, lol (except $25 8" single layer cakes just ticks me off! Lol)
Conversely, thrilled to find 18ct xl eggs for $2.79 - had to pry finger from add button after I added several… who would've thought? Will never take affordable eggs for granted! Had not realized how many ways I casually used them in our regular foods.

@BCLadybug888 - yeah …traditional tea and calorie goals don’t really go together! Hope you enjoyed every bit!

And some places in Vancouver.... used to see group ons for tea... though I admit Victoria is more "tea like"😎
