Any way to search the diary for when I ate a specific food?
I'm a type 2 diabetic and tracking my blood sugar with a CGM. I'd like to be able to correlate back to what I ate and be able to see how it affected me (e.g. what happened when I ate poutine last time) - so find the date/time in MFP and then flip over to see what it did to my blood sugar. Is there a way to do that?

Hey guys!

Greetings!
My name is Alexis Pike! I joined last year when I decided to make a change in my health habits. My personal trainer suggested I use MFP, which I did, but I have never been successful using the program since I joined in Oct. 2020 (longest consistency was about a week). However, my physical and mental health have become of…

After over 2 years of trying to conceive, I have been told I need to reach 90kg before I can start fertility treatments. I have been a habitual yo-yo dieter since my teens and have fluctuated between 65kg and 115kg. Main motivations: - achieve pregnancy - learn better habits to pass on to future children - longer,…

Can I eat the calories I burn?
So my recommended amount is 1200 calories however today I burned 600 calories from ballet and walking I entered this and my calorie intake went up to 1800. Does this mean I should eat 1800? I asked my friend and she said I should still stick to 1200 and the calorie tracker is probably overestimating what I have burned

Back at it again... This time with a vengeance!
I've done this a few times before but I let myself fall off track because of mental health issues. I also kept struggling with finding a happy balance of being able to see friends and not obsess over caloric intake while being out and about. I KNOW I'm finally at a place where I can kick butt at this and reach my goals. I…

In 5 weeks you'll lose 10lbs... why is it not working?
When someone signs up for MFP, they are gung ho about losing weight, and want to shed those pounds FAST! They look at the calculator, enter their stats, and are asked... What is your lifestyle like... Sedentary? Lightly active? This is such a subjective question! Some people are fooling themselves... and think they're very…

Macros and Counting
Hi! What is the best way to compute macro homemade meals? For example if I want to make something like salad dressing or coconut rice, but I don’t know the serving size(s), how do I do this? I want to be able to input all of my ingredients without knowing the serving size and then input the amount I take in MFP or some…

Add a Details Section to Recipes
For whatever reason there is a details section when I add new things to the meals section of the app, but not for the recipes section. This is very odd considering people are more likely to need to add notes to recipes they create more so than when grouping foods into a meal. Can a details section (just like what is…

Introducing myself
At 70 years young I am starting again with my own volumetric/zoom type of eating plan. I need to lose 75 lbs., but I’d like to lose 100. After a week, Holiday sweet cravings are gone. I am trying to keep things simple with eggs, smoothies, or oatmeal with low sugar/fat yogurt and berries for breakfast; a giant non-starchy…

Revisiting after years away
Hi, I am revisiting after years away. I signed up for Noom but didn't like it at all, then remembered tracking my carbs years ago when I was a bodybuilder. Things have changed since then. I am now 66 years old and spend time swimming, doing aquafit and walking the Highlands since I moved to Scotland. I am a widow and the…

Hello,

Support added vs natural sugars
Nutrition facts these days separate natural sugar and added sugars. It is disappointing to see that this is missing from MFB, and it is a gap in modern nutrition tracking. Studies have repeatedly shown that how you consume your sugar matters a lot. Sugar consumed via whole fruits and vegetables is better for you than sugar…

Alternatives to Grilled Chicken
Hi! I just started trying to eat healthy again and am hoping for some ideas for alternatives to grilled chicken to change it up. Last time I lost a lot of weight I stuck to salads for every lunch and grilled chicken for dinner with various sides (rice, sweet potato, broccoli, etc). While effective, I got really sick of…

Food Search - brands
I noticed that food search results have changed. They do not show the brands anymore. Anyone know if there is a way to customize how the results look? I usually try and reference known brands or restaurants if I cannot find an exact match and need to estimate. I am on Android.

Can MFP show me how many oz or cups I’ve had?
I am trying to keep my meals below 1 cup / 8 oz. Sometimes I measure and enter the food that way, so that’s easy. But sometimes I just enter “1 serving” (of crackers for example), or “1 slice” (for instance, of bread), or even just “1” (egg, for example). A lot of times I know how many grams each item is, or maybe even how…

How can I up my caloric intake without adding fat or sugar to my diet?
I am having gallbladder problems- and will be having my gallbladder removed January 3rd. I have lost around 30 lb in the past two and a half weeks and realized I'm pretty much on a starvation diet. I can't have much sugar or fat as it bothers my gallbladder- also not any white flower. Does anyone have any foods that are…
