Re: Remaining Calories math

The remaining calories in a day does not equate to the remaining carbs+fats+Proteins.
When I multiply remaining carbs*4+fats*9+proteins*4 the number exceeds the daily remaining calories.
Any pointers on why the math is not adding up?

(1) Incorrect database entries,
(2) Rounding errors,
(3) Alcohol (if applicable - has calories, 7 per gram, isn't protein, fat or carbs).
Most probable if significant difference: #1.
The database is crowd sourced (some people are imprecise in what they enter), the crowd is international (so different countries have different rules about labeling precision and things like net carbs), and labels even in strict countries may be in error or be allowed to be off by some percentage.0
