  • My scale automatically sends the number of pounds lost to MFP as a status and it sends " X lost 0 lbs" when I gain. The gain in numbers only appears in the progress tab and I love it because I can look back and see the patterns. I never put my weight in manually. So I guess my scale keeps my status honest and I trust…
  • Yeah, today I started having lunch again so I'm stoping the one meal a day, for now. I'll see how I do this coming week. I desperately need to sleep!
  • I'm not even close to menopause, so that's not it. Probably it is the cortisol. I chose not to exercise while I eat one day a meal since I thought that would be extreme  My weight just stalled at some point with the 1200 calories a day so I just wanted to brake that plateau. Initially I only wanted to do a 24 hrs…
  • Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm eating Keto since Febuary 23rd. So that's almost 5 months. I eat one meal a day for 1 week. The meal it's usually 600 to 700 calories and Keto. Sometimes I have 3 carbs a day and a day or two I had up to 30 carbs a day ( I had some peach, cherries or strawberries) Anyways, maybe my sleep…
  • Yes, that's the one I read before I created this discussion. She talking about being fully keto adapted before you start fasting...so that's where I started thinking that maybe I wasn't as adapted as I thought I was. The low carbs and Low calories work for me in the losing lbs sense....so I don't really wanna give it up…
  • I wouldn't recommend such an old model.... UP 24 is usually on sale a lot, so keep an eye on that. Also, if you don't mind spending $200 get UP 3 like suessm just said. It has more options and it looks better. But!! If you are a lady, I would recommend Fitbit Flex so you can look fashionable buying the TORY BURCH FOR…
  • I know what you are saying. I am the same. I change sizes every 20-25 lbs. That's a long time to wait and see and feel a difference. I just lost 12 -14 LBS and other than having a little bit smaller stomach nothing changed. But I know after another 5-10 lbs my pants will be looser. So, just don't get discouraged and keep…
  • I did used coconut oil but I thought I had to use cocoa butter also. Anywho, maybe I got confused following your recipe. However, next time I'll have the cocoa butter. Thanks for the link.
  • :( I tried and made it without the cocoa butter and it was a disaster !!
  • Hey Dan, Today I went and bought all the ingredients to make this but it was impossible to find cocoa butter :((( What else can I use to replace it?!
  • I also drink Senna based teas twice a week. It works and I like the fact that the bloat goes with it. You can find these teas at the Asian food stores. Give it a try, see if it works for you.
  • Eating over 1200 never worked for me. The only time that I have results in the first week is when I went low carb ( 30 grams a day max) and stayed at 1200 cals a day with 30 minutes of cardio every other day.
  • I have a Withings Pulse and I don't recommend it.
  • Well done Corinna! I've read about Paleo but I like a little bit of yogurt sometimes. Atkins is more restrictive sometimes and I have a hard time following. Low carb is not restrictive at all and that doesn't work for me either  so Keto was the only one that looked alright but I still have cappuccinos and yogurt in…
  • Well, that's what this keto diet is about. You need to eat more fat than protein and stay under 30 grams of carbs. The idea is that your brain and body feeds of the fats instead of the protein and carbs. My macros are 5% carbs, 15% protein and 80% fat. I have a hard time lowering the protein though. But anyway, it is…
  • I was just thinking at a low carb thing. It works with some people. So I thought that maybe she wants to give it a try. Sorrry! Sheesh!

  • Well... I don't think I need any, I hope I don't. I was just asking to see if I will have a bunch of skin hanging after I lose 70 lbs.
  • No, I never did this on paper. I think I bought a weight watchers dairy once and never wrote a thing in it.
  • Try and buy the peanut butter from the health store. The ones where you go and put the fresh peanuts in the machine, push the button and peanut butter comes out. It is usually dirt cheap too. I prefer to do that instead of reading 7000 labels.
  • The guy was talking about keto diet, I'm guessing. That's what I'm doing and it is working fine.
  • Probably your portions are a little bigger than you think. Also it might be the foods you eat. Eliminate carbs ( keep it under 30 grams a day) for 5 days and see if there's any change on the scale.

  • Guys, you are amazing. I had spinach salad and a 4 oz chicken thigh on the side, baked in a aluminum foil pocket ( I don't have too many baking dishes not cooking a lot and all). I also used jasmine rice ( brown rice takes too long to cook for me). The coleslaw mix I sautéed it for 5 minutes with little olive oil and…
  • I know it's depressing but from my experience diet was the only thing working for my belly. The more I "starved" the more belly I was loosing. I was eating 600 calories a day.... To the point that my abs were showing without having one minute in the gym. But eating 600 a day was horrid. Don't get me wrong, eating 600 made…
  • I used to walk 10 minutes to where my gym was. I was paying $80 a month for it and I was just using the treadmill. I tried a Pilates class once and It was strange. Everybody was skinny and good at it. I never went back to that class. I canceled my membership after 1 year. Now I bought a treadmill at home. I'm planing to…
  • To be honest I think you will see a change in you're gut area when you get down to 175 lbs. Probably there is a lot of fat there and it takes a little longer to show. I encourage you not to get too upset about it and keep doing what you're doing.
