I’m 49 and 50 is fast approaching. I started my weight loss journey August 2017. I had visited the Dr’s regarding a chest infection. I ended up being told I had extremely high blood pressure and was heading towards a stroke/heart attack, I was also morbidly obese. Weight loss surgery was an option, but it was not one I…

I too had a BMI of 44, and a health scare gave my the determination and mindset to change. My Doctor did explain about weight loss surgery, I declined as I knew I had to get my head in the right place. I’ve changed my mindset I’m no longer on a diet, I’ve changed my lifestyle. My lifestyle change includes weighing, logging…

That I’d start running, and enjoy it. C25K is brilliant, I’ve recently completed week 9 and I’ve kept up with the running. I love it. That some people love it when you hit a plateau. That my brain hasn’t quite caught up with my weight loss (-77lb). When clothes shopping I still automatically go for the bigger sizes.

I graduated Couch to 5K on Sunday. I’m so pleased, and plan to keep running.

Week 8, run 3 completed of C25K. Bit of a mild panic in the shower. I thought I’d found a lump under my chest. Shouted for my husband who confirmed it was my sternum! Mild terror and then joy all at the same time.

So far I’ve lost 74lb. Physically I feel much better. I no longer have pains in my feet, I don’t have aches/pains when I wake in the morning, I don’t get that horrible fat cramp ache/pain in the stomach anymore, I have more energy, I’ve started running and just feel so much better in myself. Mentally, I feel in a much…
